So I was at a coffee shop downtown earlier and the girl working the register was visibly not having a good day but still managed to smile and be friendly to everyone.
The girl in front of me stepped up to the till and as soon as she opened her mouth it was obvious she’s one of those kind and bubbly people who just radiates actual sunshine everywhere they go. Before she ordered she made small talk with the barista, asked how her day was going etc.
The barista got around to asking what she’d like and the girl asked if the barista likes tea. The barista was a bit confused but said yes and was asked for a recommendation. The barista told the girl she loves the new orange pekoe they recently started selling and the girl ordered two.
When the girl received her tea, she took both, put one back down on the counter and said “this is for you”, smiled and walked out.
The barista smiled all through my transaction, and still was when I left.
I spent a few minutes internally gushing about it before thinking Imagine Your OTP
im honestly still so impressed by the level of fandom-wide denial re: the ending of botfa tbh? all of us could be gathered together watching thorin’s death scene or The Funeral™ and we’d still be like ‘so anyway do you think bilbo is going to stay in erebor after the battle or will thorin renounce the throne and go back to the shire with him?’ without even batting an eye it’s as if we’ve collectively cancelled the idea that bilbo and thorin didn’t end up together and replaced it with every single other possible scenario lmao
But why? That’s what I need to know. Yep great, we’re getting clothes sharing, I am excited about this prospect of Robert Sugden in a hoodie and Aaron in a jacket (Please let it be one with elbow patches) BUT WHY?
There is no plausible reason I can think of that this would happen? I need to know. Did they get dressed in the dark or something? Why is this bothering me so much? I have no idea.
this is the thing that kills me like either way those are HUGE, that’s why i wrote that thing because just imagine him working on that, perfecting it, putting so much time and energy into it. such a god damn thing
dammit now you’re making me want to know what else he might’ve made, whether as gifts or for himself. and also, when did he discover he could do this? did he grow flowers out of the ground when he was younger by accident? did he realize one day the flower simply never wilted or faded even in the frostbitten winter and it occurred to him what he could do? and then he went and tried it on small things like butterflies and spiders and lizards – eventually a snake.
imagine alec watching magnus one day, unnoticed, and magnus is out on his balcony growing a flower. just the world’s most powerful warlock, growing little pink and purple flowers that glow at night because he thinks it looks pretty. alec would have the softest look on his face.
