Sara immediately regreted the words as soon as they left her lips. She cared about him, but her feelings for him ruined any chance of keeping herself together. She needed him to say it– she couldn’t keep going with this unless he said it. But when she heard it, prompted him for it– it was wrong somehow. Her eyes darted from him briefly with a defeated sigh. She broke the distance between them.
When she finally managed to look up at him through blonde lashes, her palms found his cheeks, a sad smile pulling at her lips. “I shouldn’t have… You don’t have to say anything you don’t feel, Micahel. Just us being together is enough for me.”
