otp: he came back

anonymous asked:

do you think if the roles had been reversed somehow- if jack had the upper hand and a plan, could he have left lizzie on the pearl at the end of DMC? what would have happened? what would it mean for them? i love ur meta and i've been thinking about this sooo much

you surely are asking the important questions here!

okay so jack always ends up doing the right thing even when it doesn’t benefit him AT ALL like remember that time when he freed those slaves even if it meant the end of this career? or when he rescued the girl from drowning even though he could get caught?

but most importantly: he came back. if he truly valued his freedom above everyone else’s lives he would have left them all to die for him to survive. but he made his choice in that moment, he had the upper hand and he made his choice and he came back (and elizabeth’s betrayal hurts even more because ‘look jackie you decided to be the good man she believed in and she stabbed you in the back’)

i mean, does that answer your question? because he could have indeed left elizabeth behind on the pearl, they didn’t have a boat and they were losing and he decided not to (and thanks to this decision they had the damn boat) like dude jack did indeed save them!!!!!

do you ever realize how crazy it is that tony and loki haven’t interacted since 2012 and there are still tons of people who ship it

“it’s a painting i did when i was in school …”
that’s so surprising ?”

I never had a real house to grow up in. You know, a home. I never belonged anywhere. And all my life, I was looking for that thing, you know. Thinking that it was out there somewhere. That all I had to do was find it. But I think, maybe… that home was us. It was you and me together in that stupid car, riding around, smoking cigarrettes… I think that was everything.
