I don’t want one of the ‘main’ side characters within the show, I want the actual main character in which the entire show revolves around.
I don’t want the entire show to be about them being gay, I want the show to be about something entirely different. And maybe in season 2 they meet this cute other character and they fall in love, and it’s just a little side-on thing which isn’t really important to the story other than they’re happy.
I don’t want them to be gay entirely for the shock factor, or some cheap sex scene. I want cute PG gay couple who are healthy and happy.
I don’t want it suggested that they’re together in some cryptic frendship/relationship way. I want 100% undenialable gayness. I don’t want queer baiting either.
WHEN RHYSAND REALIZES THAT THE BOY THE CARVER LOOKS LIKE TO FEYRE IS THEIR SON AND THEY LEAVE AND HE JUST QUIETLY ASKS IN THE DARK “WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE?”
LIKE HE CAN’T BEAR TO HOPE FOR THAT MUCH AND HE’S REALIZING HOW THERE WAS ONCE A POINT THAT HE THOUGHT FEYRE WOULD NEVER LOVE HIM AND NOW HE’S STARING DOWN THE BARREL OF A FUTURE THAT COULD NEVER HAPPEN IF THIS WAR GOES BADLY AND HE HEARS THAT THE CARVER WEARS THE FACE OF THEIR SON. HIS AND FEYRE’S AND HE JUST HAS TO CHOKE OUT THE WORDS IN THE STIFLING DARK
“WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE.”
AND THERE’S SO MUCH LOVE IN HER VOICE WHEN SHE, FEYRE, HIS MATE, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND POWERFUL THING IN HIS LONG LIFE, TAKES HIS HAND AND SQUEEZES AND SMILES SOFTLY AND THERE’S THAT HOPE IN HER TOO AND JUST REPLIES
“LET ME SHOW YOU.”
AND HE SEES THE FACE OF HIS SON AND HIS HEART CRACKS OPEN WITH ALL THE LOVE AND LIFE AND HOPE WITHIN IT HE THINKS HE MIGHT COLLAPSE WITH IT.
BUT FEYRE’S THERE- SO MUCH LOVE AND LIFE AND FIRE AND STEEL HOLDING HIM UP AND WALKING THEM BOTH TOWARDS THE LIGHT
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THIS SHIT- I’M FUCKING NOT.
My favorite part about this kiss is how intense Dylan/Stiles’ face is. He’s kissing her like she’s his lifeline, the air he breathes. He’s so consumed in this moment, in this kiss, in Lydia. You can feel how much he loves her and how much this moment means to him. This is everything Stiles has spent the past 10 years building up to, and the intensity with which he kisses Lydia is like none I’ve ever seen. Lydia holds onto to Stiles, kissing him back just as forcefully, and we get this incredible moment that seems to stop time. I just can’t get over how much you can tell that this is quite possibly the most important day of Stiles’ life just by the expression he makes when kissing Lydia. It’s gentle and intense and heartbreaking all at the same time. You can feel the gentleness he possesses for Lydia, but it’s also this intense fire that burns hot enough to consume them both. It’s so amazing that these two completely opposite things can exist simultaneously in just one expression. Dylan never ceases to amaze me with how much he understands Stiles as a character and his unconditional love for Lydia.
