Taiwanese Hokkien is a branched-off variant of Hokkien spoken natively by the the Taiwanese Hoklo people, who descend from the people who immigrate from Fuijan during the Qing dynasty and now form about 70% of the population of Taiwan.

Hilo rojo del destino

El hilo rojo del destino, también conocido como “cordón rojo del destino”, es una creencia de Asia oriental, presente en la mitología china y en la japonesa. Además, este mito se refleja también en Occidente con las llamadas “almas gemelas”.

Según este mito, los dioses atan un cordón rojo alrededor del tobillo -o del dedo meñique, en el caso de la cultura japonesa- de los que han de conocerse o ayudarse en un momento concreto y de una manera determinada.

Para la leyenda china, Yuè Xia Lǎo, a menudo abreviado como Yuèlǎo, el antiguo dios Lunar, también a cargo de los matrimonios, es el artífice de ese hecho.

Así, las dos personas unidas por el hilo rojo están destinadas a ser amantes, independientemente de la hora, el lugar o la circunstancia. Por tanto, este cordón mágico se puede estirar o enredar, pero nunca puede romperse.

Early portrayal of Arabs in European paintings look like these men. Today these men will not be considered Arabs but were once portrayed as such. So who is an Arab and who are the real Arabs? These people inhabited much of North Africa from Tangiers to Cairo.

Today the word Arab will not bring this man to mind yet were once portrayed as such. So why has the meaning of the word changed over the centuries? Once inhabitants of north Africa and the middle east. 

Today we are being taught people of African decent in the middle East were nothing but descendants of slaves. We populated every land on this planet so why are people being taught they are descendants of slaves?

An oriental man. This man will certainly not be considered Oriental in today’s world. Why do they keep changing the meanings of these words?
