Raja and the Whales Crew has spotted the most recently ID’d Sri Lankan orca over the past couple of days: OM025 Noa.
Noa has been resighted 3 different times since her first initial sighting in January. She’s always been seen alone. The social structure of Sri Lankan orcas is still very much a mystery. Some whales, like OM001 King and OM008 Arya, seem to travel together much of the time while others, like Noa, appear to prefer being alone. Hopefully with more research OPSL will be able to unravel the mysterious of these fascinating animals!
