- Treat You Better - A Liam Dunbar Imagine |

I know I can treat you better-
                                                                  than he can

Y/n’s P.O.V

A chorus of laughter caused you to halt in your tracks once you stepped of the bus, and you silently cursed at the scene in front of you.

That’s cute Liam, is that what they told you in anger management?” Your boyfriend mocked as his friends crowded behind him, “- Apologise and everything’s fine? You demolished coa-”

But before he could finish, you hurriedly made your way towards him, “Brett stop, please.” You uttered quietly whilst grasping his arm, trying to tug him away from Liam.

Y/n?

You glanced up, meeting baby blue eyes almost instantly but you soon noticed the bewildered expression etched on Liam’s face. You’ve been close to Liam but he began to distant himself ever since you started dating Brett and you never got the chance to speak to him, until now.

“Hi Liam, how are y-”

Strong hands grasped your face before you felt lips being planted onto yours, and by the sudden force, you felt yourself stagger back slightly.

You pulled back with your brows knitting together, “What was that for, Brett?”

Brett only shrugged before wrapping an arm protectively over your shoulder, “C’mon Y/n, let’s go,” He then turned to an aggravated Liam, “Oh, and we’re going to break you in half out there Dunbar. And it’s going to be your fault.”

And with that, he lead you away from the crowd, but the thing that made you even more confused was the wide smirk Brett wore on his face as if he won the lacrosse game even though it hasn’t even begun.

Making your way towards the benches, you instantly spotted a dark-haired boy, who fiddled with his red and black helmet.

“Liam!” You called out, running towards him, and you couldn’t help but notice how his confused gaze watched your every move. “Hey, I came to say good luck.”

His lips lifted into a grin as his cheeks flushed slightly, “T-thanks Y/n.”

It was not until then you realised how you missed Liam, he was always the one there for you, even before Brett, he was in fact your best friend. “We should hang out, like old times.”

Suddenly feeling a pair of eyes on you, you swiftly turned around to notice your boyfriend’s piercing orbs scrutinising both you and Liam, causing your brows to furrow instantly, “I’ll uh-see you around Liam.”

As you then began to saunter towards your seat, you then came to a standstill as your ears perked at the sound of Brett’s voice, but what caught your attention was how it was coated with taunt and menace.

Remember what happened the last time I caught you staring at my girlfriend,” He stated, and you immediately knew who he was talking too.

“-Stay away from her Dunbar. Y/n is mine.

A Week Later,

As you rummaged through your bag for your house keys, a body suddenly collided with yours which only made you stumble backwards. Warm hands quickly grasped your shoulders keeping you steady.

“Are you oka- Y/n?”

You then looked up at the sound of the familiar voice and to see Liam towering over you with an apologetic smile.

“It’s not your fault Liam, I clearly wasn’t looking where I was going,” You said, with a chuckle. “And why haven’t you been answering my calls, I was wondering if you were up for hanging out?”

Liam’s blue orbs began to waver as he tried his best to avoid your curious gaze, and you watched as his shoulders grew tense. “Y/n, go home.”

“Wait-” You began as Liam strode past you. “-Liam why are you ignoring me, did I do something wrong?”

“Y/n, just go ho-”

Liam suddenly froze in front of you as he stared at something ahead of you, with your brows knitting together in confusion, you followed his gaze-

And you instantly regretted it.

Your heart dropped and your chest tightened at the sight of your boyfriends arms wrapped around another girls waist, whilst his lips locked with hers in an almost never ending kiss.

You felt as if your whole world came crashing down at that very moment, Brett was supposed to be yours, and yours only- but you guess everything can change, just by someone you love taking advantage of your trust, and that’s exactly what Brett did- he tore your trust in half.

And despite feeling absolutely numb, you then felt soft fingers intertwining with yours,

I’ll treat you better Y/n, I promise.

Chapter 120: The Trouble This Time

Saturday, café.

Shu Hui wore light makeup on this day. Her naturally pretty face, now appeared, even more beautiful.

“How have you been during this short period of time?” asked Bai Luo Yin, breaking the silent.

Shi Hui took the coffee spoon and leisurely stirred the coffee in the cup. Her big eyes occasionally flickered toward Bai Luo Yin.

“Guess.”

“Looking at your complexion, you seem pretty well.”

A smile forced its’ way onto Shi Hui’s face, “You think I’d dare look miserable in front of you? I got a bit carried away by my emotions. And you, on this side, immediately hung up. I was afraid. Really.”

Bai Luo Yin remained quiet.

“Excuse me, gentlemen what would you like to order?”

“Let me look…okay, two glasses of fruit juice.”

“May I ask, what flavor?”

“You look and pick for us!”

Two soldiers made their way toward the table beside Bai Luo Yin.

Their loud voice echoed in the room. Attracted by it, Bai Luo Yin couldn’t help but to cast a side glance their way. The two soldiers looked around the shop in all directions before their eyes, at that exact moment, came into contact with Bai Luo Yin’s line of sight. Then, as if nothing happened, they nonchalantly turned away and continued their loud conversation.

In this spacious café, the two soldiers had insistently squeezed their way over to this side.

“What’s wrong?” asked Shi Hui.

Bai Luo Yin shook his head, “Nothing.”

The two soldiers’ head gathered close as they whispered to one another, “Don’t even mention it, our General’s son has good eyes. Just look at how proper that girl is!”

“Hey hey… this guy has really bad luck.”

Shi Hui remained silent for quite some time. Her visions completely immersed with Bai Luo Yin’s face. As if in a trance, she stared blankly at him for a long while.

“Yin Zi, you’ve changed a lot.”

Bai Luo Yin was quite surprised, “Is that so? I didn’t realize.”

Shi Hui smiled faintly, exposing two dimples.

“You’ve become handsome.”

Bai Luo Yin didn’t reply back as he tugged at the corner of his lips.

The two soldiers at the size called out again.

“What I want was freshly squeezed juice, why did you give me artificial flavored juice huh?”

“Mister, you clearly said to choose anything.”

“Hey, are you talking back to me? You’re making it look like a soldier is bullying you, a waitress! Go, call your manager out here!”

“I’m sorry, mister, the manager is not here. I will switch it out for you.”

Their conversation was once again interrupted, causing Shi Hui to feel somewhat disheartened.

Bai Luo Yin said, “How about we switch seats?”

Shi Hui smiled and nodded her head as she looked at Bai Luo Yin, “Actually, that’s exactly what I was thinking as well.”

The two had only moved and sat down for a few minutes before the soldiers caused another ruckus. Apparently, a couple glasses of fruit juice had spilt. Without any other option, they switched table as well. The two soldiers moved directly toward the area close to Bai Luo Yin and Shi Hui.

Even if Bai Luo Yin was stupid, he could still see through their true

“How about you come sit on my side. We can sit a bit closer to each other, that way, it won’t be too noisy.”

Shi Hui cautiously and solemnly faced Bai Luo Yin, worried he would refuse.

Bai Luo Yin glanced toward the two soldiers quickly and sat down on the seat next to Shi Hui.

A familiar scent assaulted her nostrils. Sadness rained on Shi Hui as she looked at Bai Luo Yin’s hands. Who remembers how many times, those hands had pulled her along countless streets and many times they had also wiped away her tears. What she was once familiar with, has now become strange.

“Bai Luo Yin, if it wasn’t for the screen on the wall displaying the date, I’d almost believed that we never broke up and I have not gone abroad. We’re just here on a date.”

Bai Luo Yin’s resolute orbs abruptly wavered for a bit.

“Bai Luo Yin, do you know why I came back?”

Bai Luo Yin forced himself to answer back, “Because of me.”

“To be more exact, it is because of some words you’ve said before.”

Bai Luo Yin looked at Shi Hui, the distance between them gradually diminished. He could almost see tears forming at the corners of her eyes. It seems as though, any second now, they would gather together, form a droplet and trickle down along her beautiful rosy cheeks.

“You said, you already have someone that you like. I can’t let it go, I don’t believe you. I wanted to ask you in person, who is that person? If you can give me a definite answer, I will leave this café and immediately purchase a place ticket.”

Bai Luo Yin’s lips moved about but he didn’t say anything. He didn’t know whether his heart was hesitating, or that, he couldn’t speak the truth.

“I just know it. You’re lying to me.” Shi Hui’s tears finally flowed down as her soft fingers grasped Bai Luo Yin’s arm. With an unsteady voice she said, “Bai Luo Yin, I’m not going to leave.”

Bai Luo Yin suddenly sobered up, everything was clearer now. As he turned to look at Shi Hui, his voice held, somewhat, of a harsh tone to it, “There’s no need for you to feign ignorance in front of me. Even if you stay here, we’re still impossible.”

“Why?”

Finally, unable to control her emotions, Shi Hui held onto Bai Luo Yin’s arm and began to sob. She cried and asked in between tears: “You don’t like me anymore?”

In the end, Bai Luo Yin didn’t have the heart to push Shi Hui away.

The two soldiers at the side couldn’t bare to look anymore as they mumbled amongst themselves in a low tone: “He doesn’t like you, but I like you. You can come over here. I will definitely love you dearly.”

“This guy is quite heartless.”

“Humph! Soon, he going be in a lot of trouble.”

——

Gu Hai stood at the troop’s large training ground, staring calmly into the distance at the soldiers rigorously training.

A young officer walked over to where Gu Hai was standing, stood straight and faced Gu Hai before saluting him.

Gu Hai used his eyes to salute back.

The officer finally relaxed his body and smiled at Gu Hai, asking: “Where have you been lately? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you.”

“Busy for no reason.”

The officer laughed again, “Major General Gu left just awhile ago.”

Gu Hai ignored what he said and directly asked, “Is there a rifle?”

The officer faced the barracks and called out loudly, “Bring out the best rifle!”

Gu Hai held the rifle with both of his hands and walked toward the shooting range. Luckily, there were already two snipers there practicing. About 100 meters ahead were several moving targets. Gu Hai kept silent as he inserted the bullets into its’ cartridge case.

After he found a good position, he followed the quick footsteps of the sniper in front of him. When the sniper up front took a shot, Gu Hai took a shot as well. Afterwards, he fired several more rounds toward the same target. Nearly six bullets landed on the same spot while the remaining ones missed the mark.

Gu Hai’s brows wrinkled together, as if unsatisfied with the result. Since he hasn’t touched a gun in a long time, his skills had indeed degraded.

The snipers laid their rifles down and turned to look at the young man behind them. They couldn’t help but pat Gu Hai on the shoulder, praising him: “Young man, your marksmanship isn’t bad at all. Have you practiced before?”

A loud roar broke out before he was able to respond.

“What’s going on? Why aren’t you practicing diligently? Are his shoulders something you can randomly pat?”

The snipers’ facial expression changed. Their heads hung low as they loudly saluted. After they were given permission, they turned around and walked away.

The officer looked apologetically at Gu Hai.

“They just transferred over here and didn’t recognize you.”

Gu Hai faintly answered back, ‘it’s fine’, before he picked the rifle up and started to take aim once again.

The officer quietly left. He didn’t get far when he saw two soldiers hastily dashed toward his direction.

“You two, what have you been doing? I’ve been looking for you all afternoon! You’ve seriously violated the code of conducts…”

Gu Hai laid down the rifle and went toward the officer.

The two soldiers lowered their heads, not daring to utter a single word nor make any sound.

“I let them go out. There was something I wanted them to handle.”

In a split second, the officer’s once solemn face resumed its gentleness.

“So that’s how it was, then forget it, hahaha…”

After the officer left, the two soldiers stealthily stole a glance at Gu Hai, their expressions were somewhat nervous. Truthfully, Gu Hai’s state of mind was even more nervous than they were. If he could stay seated at him, he wouldn’t have ran all the way over here. It’s just…in front of the two soldiers, it’s inappropriate to reveal his nervousness.

“What’s going on?”

The two soldiers exchanged looks, ‘you nominate me, I nominate you’. Both couldn’t open their mouths.

The longer they were like this, the longer Gu Hai’s mind became even more irritated.

“You talk first!” Gu Hai pointed at the solider to the left.

The soldier wiped sweats off his forehead and very cautiously said, “Actually, they were reminiscing about the old days. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary.”

The soldier to the right was rather honest. He immediately retorted upon hearing his comrade’s words.

“What do you mean, didn’t say anything out of the ordinary? Did you forget why that girl return to the country.”

Gu Hai promptly took a step forward. The ruthless expression in his eyes remained firmly on the soldier to the right.

“Why did she return?”

The soldier to the left pulled the soldier to the right’s sleeve for a second, using his eyes to repeatedly warn him. You must not, by all means, say the truth. If you really want to say, that the girl was the one who came of her own accord, young Master Gu will definitely be infuriated. If we tell him the truth, do you think we’ll be able to live another day?

The soldier to the right immediately respond back as he forced a smile from the side of his lips.

“It’s the guy. He gave the girl a call and asked her to returned to the country.”

“Right, right, right,” the soldier to the left parroted after, “Originally, the girl didn’t want to return, but the guy pestered her to return.”

A buzz rung out in Gu Hai’s brain. At that moment, his face became ghastly pale.

The soldier on the left nudged the soldier to the right, motioning him him to try to console Gu Hai.

“That, Gu…young Master Gu, actually…that girl didn’t mean it like that. That guy shamelessly stuck to her, and insisted that she stay.”

“Right, that guy doesn’t care about saving any face. The moment they sat down, he never stopped singing her praises especially about how beautiful she is and he persistently stared at her.”

“He also forced a hug on her and refused to let go.”

“That’s enough,” Gu Hai suddenly interrupted, “Don’t say anymore, I understand* you two can leave.”

“That…” the soldier to the left scratched his head and deridingly faced Gu Hai, “Can you put in some good words for us with the Major General? Let us get a three class merit!”

“Let you have a merit?” Gu Hai clenched his fists tightly, “You pissed me off and you dare ask for a merit? What kind of merits do you have?”

For a moment, the soldier to the right refused to budge before he cautiously said, “We will help you vent your anger!”

“Yeah, we can beat that guy up to a pulp. That bastard won’t be able to get off the bed for three days.”

“Three days? How I see it, he won’t be able to sit up for half a month!”

Gu Hai, “…”

——

*Don’t say anymore, I understand *我心里有数了* He said to them, “…my heart understands…” but that’s just awkward to say.

- sHe | A Liam Dunbar Imagine x (Stiles’ sister)

            She wants somebody to love
                                                                                     In the right way

“So, where’s your little boyfriend Y/n?” Your brother asked, as he leant on the kitchen counter and you couldn’t help but notice the slight edge to his voice. Taking a short swig of your orange juice, you raised a brow at Stiles.

“As much as I love you Stiles, you’re not the boss of me and especially of me and Liam’s relationship.” You replied, crossing your arms over your chest.

Stiles then held his hands up in surrender before shrugging carelessly. “And you don’t think I know that Y/n? I’m just looking out for you from that little runt.

You quickly covered your mouth as a bubble of laughter escaped past your lips. You always knew Stiles never approved of Liam and you still have no idea why. “Seriously? Liam is not some monster that I need protecting from,” You paused as you eyed your brothers orbs beginning to waver slightly. “-He’s just like us Stiles and everybody else.”

You’re right.” He muttered, as he walked past you towards his jeep. “C’mon Y/n, we don’t want to be late.”

Something didn’t feel right.

Your brows knitted together as you knew there was a reason why Stiles was acting like this and you swear you heard him mutter,

“Only if you knew little Sis.”

The second you closed your locker, warm hands suddenly shielded your vision before you felt a breath fan your ear. “Guess who?

Your lips lifted into a smile as your softly removed his hands. “Very funny Liam.” You chuckled before turning to face him.

Watching his eyes brighten the second you turned, you then brought your lips towards his in a swift movement. Liam’s hands made its way towards your face, before cupping your cheeks and you couldn’t help but sink into his touch.

“Are you excited for tomorrow?” Your boyfriend asked, as he pulled away.

You sighed softly, “One year of us Liam. Can you believe it?”

However, the moment Liam opened his mouth to reply, he abruptly spun his head almost as if he heard something and you knew that was impossible, so you pressed your palm on his cheek.

“Liam, what’s wrong?

His blue orbs suddenly met yours and he gave a weak smile. “Nothing Y/n. I-

“Liam can i have a word with you please.” Your brows furrowed as your brother stood with his arms crossed and his eyes trained on your boyfriend. You then noticed Liam’s calm demeanour change and he suddenly stiffened at the sight of Stiles.

“Sure.” He replied, and once he faced you, he pressed his lips to your forehead causing your eyes to flutter shut for a second. “I’ll catch you later okay?”

And  you couldn’t even utter a reply before Liam stalked off with your brother and you couldn’t help but feel your chest tighten at the thought of what Stiles wanted.

As school ended, you rested your body against Liam’s locker, whilst you waited for him to leave his class. With countless thoughts running around your head, the one thing that you wondered was what did stiles want with Liam? Sure, he never approved of you and Liam’s relationship but just by his stern look on his face you knew it wasn’t good.

Your thoughts were suddenly interrupted as you spotted a familiar figure making his way towards you causing a smile to evidently make its way to your lips. Liam ran his hand roughly through his mahogany coloured hair before his blue orbs found you and you noticed how he suddenly grew pale.

Sighing, Liam simply nudged his head towards the schools exit and you nodded, understanding what he meant.

And the second you both left the building, you instantly shivered as the cool breeze kissed your skin. Your eyes scanned Liam’s every move as he began to fidget and his breathing shallowed. Once you grasped his shaking hand, you oddly felt him stiffen, so you removed your hand and slipped it into your pockets.

What’s wrong Liam?” You questioned, as you continued to observe your boyfriend’s uneasy movements and it only made you even more confused.

Never have you seen him like this.

Liam turned towards you before he exhaled heavily, “We can’t carry this on Y/n.” He muttered.

Your breath hitched inside your throat and you froze. “What?”

Liam’s blue orbs averting from you and as you took a step towards him, he instinctively held his hand out, stopping you from coming any closer.

“I’m no good for you Y/n.” He replied, in a harsh tone and the second his eyes met yours, you swore his eyes flickered into a bright yellow colour. “You have to understa-”

You vision began to blur as you rapidly shook your head. “Liam why are you thinking like this? You’re good enough for me-” You paused, as your brows furrowed at the thought of something or someone poisoning Liams thoughts. “Did my brother put you up to this because I swear-”

No,” Liam uttered as he ran his fingers through his dishevelled hair. “Stiles did nothing. I’m sorry I kept this going for this long.”

“Liam please-

His eyes scanned your face as if he awaited for you reaction to his next words.

“I don’t need someone like you Y/n, you get in the way of everything. And I don’t want you.

You bottom lip quivered as you felt your whole world crumbling as he simply crushed it between his fingers. Your heart sunk to a bottomless pit in your stomach and from his words, you suddenly knew what it felt like to have your heart broken.

Y-you don’t want me?” You repeated, completely frozen.

Liam turned away from you, his shoulders grew rigid. “No.”

“I guess you played me well Liam.” You said, bitterly. “Because I believed every single second.”

And with that, you shook your head before pivoting on your heel and stalking off before your body was pulled into familiar arms.

Liam’s P.O.V

Punching the brick wall, I let out an aggravated groan before leaning my head against it. The image of her crying was the only thing I could think off, especially since I was the reason behind it.

I looked up at the sound of footsteps and I felt my nose flare at the sight of Stiles.

Are you happy now? This is what you wanted right Stiles?” I sneered, before shoving pass him.

But I knew it was the right thing to do, I had to keep her away from me-

I had to keep her away from a monster.

Lone Wolf’s Shelter - Homeless!Lachphant AU

ask-lachlan-macaldonich

Five years today. Five years since she woke to find her son gone and a simple note. He’d taken their boy to teach him the right way, to share him with his other obsession, Boyd. He’d left the girl, left Hierophant. Gone. All because of her worries over them. How could a mother want her children to become her? Him? She was psychotic, but even she worried about her children following her path.

She wept daily, mourned the loss of her precious boy, but wore a strong face for her daughter all the same. Gwen was only six, but she had an otherworldly sense of emotion, always knowing exactly when Hierophant needed a hug, needed a sweet little admission of love.

They scraped by on the occasional hits that Hiero took, hits that did not end with Hiero devouring her victims. That life was gone. She was a mother, a single mother who missed her boy, missed her life, but most of all, missed feeling like she was worth anything.

She glanced up from the shop window she’d been staring into, breaking from her haze of thought and realizing that Gwen was no longer clutching to her hand, but gone.

Guinevere French hadn’t intended to get lost, not at all. Her mother always did that thing, the thing where she’d glance off and get all lost in her own head, like it was a big spider’s web. The little girl, wanting to prove her obvious maturity as a six year old, had hoped to find a flower stall and use her few quarters to buy her mother a rose, but now she couldn’t even find her mother. And so she wandered, looking for help in each adult that strode by, but ignored. Her eyes were orbs, teary and wavering as she struggled to be a big girl and not sob and wail for her mama, and eventually, she sat down on the sidewalk’s curb, snuffling miserably.
