Orange Fringed Orchid - Platanthera ciliaris 

Also known as Yellow Fringed Orchid, Platanthera ciliaris (Asparagales - Orchidaceae) is a butterfly-pollinated, terrestrial orchid with a loose terminal raceme of 10-50 orange flowers, characterized by a long nectariferous spur. 

This showy orchid is widely distributed throughout eastern and central Canada and the United States, from Florida to Ontario, and around the Gulf Coast to Texas.
