or perhaps she's speaking about the script

I feel so sad for Iman. Like imagine being a young Muslim woman and being excited because you are the face of the biggest show in Norway which just got a huge international fan base. Then, you start getting scripts and filming and you slowly realize that, yeah it's your season but you remember when it was Lisa, Josefine, and Tarjei's seasons and you KNOW you're not getting the same screen time. However, you have to be grateful and kind about all of it.

and iman’s such a humble kind person too? like, and she’s SUCH a GOOD actress, whose silences speak volumes. sana’s perhaps the most silently observant character on the show, and iman is SO GOOD at portraying emotion through her expressions alone?

ugh … yeah. i hope iman gets the recognition she deserves. she and her acting have been the saving grace of this season.

Quick, rough script of mommy Rhajat and m!Kana. Feel free to edit and fixit up as you please.

Kana: Hey, Mom? There’s something I wanted to ask you about.

Rhajat: Speak, child. There are things I need to do.

Kana: Oh no, not you too! At least you aren’t as bad as Mama. She’s always treating me like a little kid.

Rhajat: …Perhaps it’s because you’re our son. She doesn’t want you to grow up too fast.

Kana: I know, I know. I just mean I’m not as much of a child as I used to be. I want to help out more. But whenever I try, she just tells me to go play with my friends instead.

Rhajat: Ah, I get it. You want some responsibilities of your own.

Kana: Right! I want to be someone she can rely on. Do you think there’s anything special I can do for her?

Rhajat: Hmm… Your mother and I’s lives were intertwined the moment she saved me from death. You could try and put her in some  danger so you can save her life.

Kana: Oh…

Rhajat: Hm? Is something wrong?

Kana: I guess I was looking more for special things that I could do for her… and safely.

Rhajat: Not ready to play with fate quite yet, huh? Understandable.

Kana: Oh, I know! Let’s have a contest, Mom!

Rhajat: A contest?

Kana: Yeah! We’ll have a contest to see which of us can make Mama happier! Between the two of us, I’m sure we can come up with all sorts of things! Whoever gets the most thanks wins!

Rhajat: A contest between Mother and Son… interesting… Heh heh… count me in.

Kana: Really? Yay!

Rhajat: Don’t forget, your mother and I are SOULMATES. Beating me won’t be easy. I won’t be holding back.

Kana: That’s alright, Mom. I’m going to beat you fair and square!

Rhajat: We’ll see about that. Let the games begin.

Kana: Hey, Mom! I’ve been making a ton of progress on our contest! How about you?

Rhajat: Well, I haven’t done anything too special, but I’ve been thanked numerous times. Here, I’ve been keeping a tally.

Kana: WOW! That’s a lot! You’ve gotten all of these already?

Rhajat: Yep, and that’s way more than I expected to get. I guess I do more for your mother than I initially calculated.

Kana: Hmph. Well, I’m still not going to lose! Here, look! I recorded all mine too! And the total is…um…

Rhajat: How annoying. Your score and my score are the same.

Kana: They are? They are! Haha! Kana’s gonna beat you big-time, Mom! After all, I don’t have to work, so I can spend all day doing things for Mama!

Rhajat: …Drats, I didn’t think about that. What have you been doing for her?

Kana: Mostly I’ve been trying to help out around camp. I spend each morning making arrows for the fletchers. Then at lunch I wash the rice for the cooks and hand out the food. Oh, and at night, I make sure the mounts are all fed and outfitted for the next day. Plus I do a bunch of other little things whenever I have the time!

Rhajat: That actually seems like a lot of work. You really are growing up, aren’t you?

Kana: Huh?

Rhajat: Oh, nothing. I was just remembering you in your swaddling clothes. So young and defenseless… And now you’re making some real, important contributions to the army.

Kana: Heehee. Yeah, I’ve been working real hard. Soon there’ll be nothing I can’t do!

Rhajat: Believe me, I know. I bet your mother is very proud of all this hard work.

Kana: I hope so! And I’m gonna work even harder for her tomorrow! Prepare to lose, Mom!

Rhajat: Heehee, trust me. When it comes to [Avatar], I never lose.

Kana: *grumble*

Rhajat: Kana.

Kana: Hi, Mom…

Rhajat: What’s wrong? Did someone inflict a curse on you? I thought you’d still be exulting over your victory in our little contest.

Kana: Oh, no. No curse, and I’m still happy about winning, I guess. It’s just that I was trying to do things for Mama earlier, but she made me stop. She said I should be spending more time playing around with my friends. She still thinks I’m just a kid. Haven’t I shown her that I’m not just a little kid anymore?

Rhajat: Heh, don’t worry about it. You’re doing fine.

Kana: Then why doesn’t she want me to help with anything?

Rhajat: Your mother knows full well you can handle these things on your own. She’s just afraid of you growing up so fast.

Kana: Huh? Why?

Rhajat: She wants to spend as much time as she can with you while you’re still young. [Avatar] and I know what it’s like to be living without someone watching over you and caring for you. It’s hell.

Kana: So, is there anything I can do?

Rhajat: I don’t think so. I guess keep doing what you’re doing, but don’t work so hard. Take a break now and then to play with your friends. It also wouldn’t hurt if you spent some time with her occasionally. Think you can handle that?

Kana: But…

Rhajat: What? Do you not want to spend time with your mother?

Kana: No, that’s not it! It’s just…I feel like that stuff is for babies.

Rhajat: No, Kana. It’s not for babies. It’s for children. And your mother wants you to stay a child for just a little while longer. We both do.

Kana: Mom…

Rhajat: Listen, we know you’re growing and that you can handle all these new responsibilities. You’re going to be a powerful man someday. But for now… just relax. Let everyone else have a moment of peace before you realize your true potential.

Kana: OK. Thanks, Mom. I’ll think real hard about everything you’ve said!

Rhajat: Finally. You know… I think it would help you if you spent some time with your mother tonight. I’ll go find her right now. Heehee…

Kana: Wait, aren’t you going to stay with us too?

Rhajat: I wish. But I have other th-

Kana: But, Mama! You need a break sometimes too. I thought you wanted me and Mama to be happy!

Rhajat: …You do make a good point. Well, now that I have a real excuse, I’ll gladly stay with you two.

Kana: Yaaay!

Rhajat: Haha! Wait until [Avatar] hears about this. I think I could get used to this family thing…
