I kept screaming at my screen “PLEASE PUT ON SOME CLOTHES, I’M BEING DISTRACTED HERE”. And then Shindo said that XD But it didn’t help, I kept being distracted BECAUSE HE’S TOO DAMN PRETTY HNGG

Cleaning after New Year’s party

Take the courses. Brace the main and mizzen aback. Haul in the guns. Close all the gun ports. You’re letting up? With the damage done to the rig, I can’t maneuver our broadside around fast enough to be of any effect. The sloops are too nimble. But hauling in the guns? They’ll board us easily.

I’m rewatching the Space Mall episode, and I noticed something. In the astral plane, everything is slightly purple but it’s clearly space. It’s full of stars and clouds and it’s really quite beautiful.

But then Zarkon starts to win. He picks up Shiro by the throat and we “zoom out” through some floating lights, which begin to fade. As they fade, the stars and scenery around them also blink out and disappear. Shiro’s hand lights up, probably as a stress response, and he’s likely dying (even though he’s surprisingly able to speak so clearly and well, but nevermind that). Even when the Black Lion shows up again to wreck Zarkon’s day, the stars don’t reappear. He just drops Shiro and gets blown to hell, then they’re out.

So my question is: did Shiro populate the astral plane with stars? Does the Black Paladin have some control over what it looks like?

The First Face

The Doctor hurtled awake. One moment, dead. The next, alive. Like life being abruptly switched back on inside his body. Somewhere, Jack Harkness was smirking.

As he stumbled around his TARDIS repeating the old words of his old selves, his mind was whirring. He’d heard his past companions calling his name, urging him to wake up. Seen their faces.

And amongst those faces was one he hadn’t remembered in what felt like a very long time. A surprisingly round face.

The face of a woman who had once stood right where he was now and said to him, “Please don’t change.”

A woman who was the first face this face saw.

Clara.

He remembered her. Clara. Big eyes. A smile that was happy and sad all at once. Clara.

He remembered her. He couldn’t change now. Couldn’t let some new person go sauntering away with these memories when he’d only just gotten them back. Not yet.

He had to find Clara first.

Happy Peeta Sunday!

Here’s a little Peeta eye candy to brighten your day!

The Total Package

Oh God, I thought of angst where like

Cullen dies on Lavellan and Lavellan watches horrified when they put his body on a pyre and it begins to burn every piece of him away.

And it’s not the burning that makes her quake and sob–she’s seen bodies before, she was well aware by now that this is how Chantry’s funeral rights work, but it’s the fact that without a body, with an oak staff and a cedar branch, Cullen will never be able to find her in the Beyond when she dies.

This is where they truly end–with him to his Maker and her, some day, to her Beyond–and it’s a pain that destroys her, more so than his death, because she’ll never have him again.

She’s lost him forever.

one thing i really want to see phil do is go full nerd and i mean like talk about linguistics and language and his masters degree and i just wish he would mention more about it because it’s so interesting to see this different side of him and know more about his past
