This Is Me - Ace!Jughead x Reader

I was/am reluctant to post this because it has the potential to become very problematic, hence why it is so short.
I hope you understand that I mean no offense, and that I may be unintentionally ignorant of certain facts/aspects regarding asexuality, and its spectrum.
Please feel free to correct/educate me on it; I will be very grateful.
And if this becomes too problematic in anyway (like if a lot of people take offense) I will gladly take it down.

You lean against Jughead, your head in the crook of his neck, as the both of you stare out at the lake. It was supposed to be a pleasant day out, just to get away from the stress of school and the looming shadow of Jason’s death, but somehow it just felt off. Jughead was being more quiet than usual, his witty remarks and sardonic comments absent from conversation, and he was being strangely fidgety too. He shifts uncomfortably, his eyes darting down to you briefly before going back to the lake.

“Jughead,” you mutter, worried, “What’s up with you?”

Omg, please tell me there’s gonna be a part 3 to the grammys???? You can’t leave that kinda cliff hanger!!!! Dosh Josh behave or not, do Tyler and Jenna figure out what’s going on?? Please, please, please tell us!!!???

*continued female reader, smut, last segment to this trilogy

Normally, you two would’ve just gone home and fucked each other senseless. You would’ve teased each other the entire ride home and then gotten in the bedroom and let loose. You would’ve definitely had quite a night. However, it didn’t go quite as anticipated or planned. After dinner, which to your surprise, both of you behaved fairly well, and Jenna and Tyler didn’t quite let the two of you off the hook. “I don’t want this night to end,” Tyler sighed. “I feel like I’m on the top of the world.”

“I’m so proud of you guys,” you agreed. “You could literally take on anything now.”

“You’ve already tackled so many other challenges, you’re basically unstoppable!” Jenna grinned.

“Hell, who knows. Maybe we’ll win the Olympics next,” Josh joked.

“We’ll start training tomorrow,” Tyler teased. “No but really, I don’t want this night to end. We should go see a movie or walk around town or something. I know it’s late, but I’m still super high on life.”

“That sounds like a plan,” Jenna smiled. “What do you guys think?”

Josh and you looked at each other, and you could tell in his eyes he was still yearning for what you had planned later. You were about to make up a lie about how you still didn’t feel too well when Tyler interrupted you. “Hold on, I’m getting a call,” Tyler explained, putting his phone up to his ear.

“Who is it?” Jenna wondered.

“Josh, it’s your mom!” Tyler laughed. “Hold on, Laura, I’m going to put you on speaker.”

“What?” you hissed angrily, jabbing Josh in the arm. “You have the time to sext me in the middle of dinner but you can’t even give your mom a quick phone call?”

“Hi boys!” she greeted happily. “I’m so proud of you!”

“Yeah mom,” Josh chuckled, giving you a look as to drop the subject. “Thanks.”

“We have a little surprise for you!” she explained. “I’m going to send an address to where the party is and I want you all to come. I think you already ate but there’s some snacks and stuff.”

“What are you talking about?” Josh wondered. “You’re all in Los Angeles? Right now?”

“Kelly set it up,” she explained. “I just helped. Tyler’s parents helped and Zack and Jay are here, Jordan too, everyone really. Even Ashley and Abby and Madison. They all headed over after the awards.”

“Mom,” Josh stated. “We’re at dinner right now.”

“I know, I know,” she reassured. “But after you guys are done, just come over here. We rented out a nice little place. Everyone’s waiting for you boys, and your lovely women too.”

“I think it’s a great idea,” you quickly chimed in. “It’s a perfect celebration.”

“She’s right,” Jenna agreed. “Come on, Josh. Let’s drag out the happy all night long.”

“Just a small party,” Tyler shrugged. “Right?”

“Fine,” Josh complied, glancing at you, frustrated. “We’ll head over soon mom.”

“Thank you,” she giggled. “Can’t wait to see you all. Love you.”

“Love you!” you all responded before Josh hung up and handed Tyler the phone.

“You never told me your mom set up a party for us,” Josh laughed.

“I never knew,” Tyler replied. “Evidently she did.”

“You’d think Jordan would tell me,” Josh rolled his eyes.

“I guess not,” Tyler sighed. “Well we better hurry over.”

“Yeah,” Jenna nodded. “Let’s get the bill and head out soon.”

As soon as you and Josh got in the car, he blew up. “I can’t believe my mom would do that!” he groaned aloud, forcefully sticking the keys in the ignition and pulling out of the parking lot. “You think she’d just want me to spend the night with you, but no!”

“Josh calm down,” you put a hand on his shoulder but he jerked it away.

“No! You don’t understand!” he muttered. “I’ve literally been dying all dinner long.”

“Then maybe we can do something quick,” you suggested. “Before we get to the party.”

“I just want to fuck you,” he whispered, glancing at you. “Really, really, really bad.”

“They flew all the way here from Columbus,” you insisted.

“I know but you just look so hot in that dress, baby,” Josh murmured, taking a turn on the road. “And your hair, it looks so good too. You were by far the best one there at the Grammys.”

“You were the one who took off your pants,” you reminded.

“And I’ll do it again,” he gave a sly smile. “How about that?”

“Just for me this time,” you argued, sliding a hand towards his upper thigh as he drove. “All for me, Josh.”

“Fuck baby, don’t do that when I’m driving,” he chuckled darkly, and you withdrew your hand, blushing. “You’re tempting me so bad you know.”

“To do what?” you challenged.

“To pull off the side of the road right now, lock all the doors, take you in the back seat, and fuck you right here, right now,” he explained, eyes fixed on the road, trying to concentrate.

“Naughty boy,” you clicked your tongue.

“Can’t help it when you’re around,” he shook his head. “You do things to me. You don’t even know.”

“Oh I’m sure I do know,” you smirked. “I know how bad you want it.”

“Then stop teasing me and just fake sick at the party so we can go home and just finally fucking do this,” he begged. “Please y/n, I can barely take it anymore.”

“One hour,” you promised. “One hour at the party and then maybe I’ll contemplate it.”

“Contemplate?” he raised his eyebrows, turning into the parking lot of the venue. “No, babe. You have to. Come on, Jenna’s going to vouch for you cause she knows how bad you felt at dinner. It would all work out.”

“We’ll see what happens,” you sighed, giving him a soft kiss on the cheek. “Maybe if you behave then I’ll make up my mind.”

“Goddammit I hate you,” he grumbled.

“You fucking love me,” you grinned, knowing very well you were using his own words against him. He just laughed, both of you deciding to have another kiss before getting out of the car, then heading into the venue, his arm around your waist, looking hella fine in your fancy Grammys outfits.

As soon as you entered everyone cheered loudly, both of you earning a huge applause and a million eyes on you all at once, but the two of you froze. There was no way you were anticipating this many people. You thought maybe the two families and a couple of friends, but this was like an entire wedding reception or something. There was no way you’d be leaving in just an hour. “Want to escape out the door while we still can?” Josh joked but you narrowed your eyes at him, plastering on a smile as soon as his mom Laura approached you.

“Aw look at you two!” she beamed. “You’re so fancy, oh my goodness.”

“I didn’t know so many people were going to be here mom,” Josh murmured, probably nervous.

“I didn’t either but I guess uh, Tyler’s brother Zack tweeted out the address and a couple of people saw it and decided to come,” she shrugged.

“A couple of people?” Josh widened his eyes. “This is like the Grammys itself!”

“Oh gosh,” you stared at your phone and read the tweet aloud. “Twenty One Pilots Grammys after-party!”

“Of course Zach would do something like that,” Josh grumbled. “Okay, well thanks for the party anyways. It’s very nice. I can’t wait to get down and meet some people, dance with y/n hopefully, eat some great food.”

“Absolutely,” Laura smiled, giving both of you a huge hug. “It’s for you and Tyler, so have fun. We’re all so very proud of you. I love you.”

“Love you too mom,” he gave a small smile. “Now come on y/n, let’s shake our booties on that dance floor!”

“Sure,” you rolled your eyes and laughed.

“You guys came!” Jenna squealed happily, tugging Tyler over to meet you guys. “You feeling a little better, y/n?” You looked in her eyes, seeing how genuinely happy she was, how excited and proud, how caring. You couldn’t just leave this party, all these sweet people, everything both of their families sacrificed and set up, just so you could fuck Josh for a night. Josh looked at you, almost with begging eyes, wishing you’d just say you felt miserable, but you couldn’t do that. You just couldn’t.

“I feel great,” you grinned. “This set up is amazing! I’m so glad we came.”

“Yeah,” Josh stated flatly, grip on your waist tightening. “So happy to be here.”

“Come on bro,” Tyler tapped him on the shoulder. “There’s some people I want you to meet.”

“Cool,” Josh took a deep breath. “Uh, I’ll see you around y/n. Keep your phone on you?”

“Oh no, no, no,” you shook your head immediately, knowing exactly what was going on. “My phone is almost dead and I’m not going to play anymore of your little games. You go behave and have fun with Tyler. Got it?” You gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

“Fine,” he mumbled, faking a smile and going off with Ty.

“So what was dinner all about?” Jenna narrowed her eyes when the boys left. “I mean come on, the gasping and moaning? What was that?”

“Josh was being a dick,” you rolled your eyes. “Nothing important.”

“And the phones too,” she added. “You guys okay?”

“Yeah,” you nodded. “It’s fine.”

“Are you guys…” she left a small pause and you tensed. “Breaking up?”

“What?” your eyes went wide. “No, not at all.”

“Oh okay,” she shrugged. “I don’t know. You just seemed like you were arguing about something and I thought maybe he was kicking your leg underneath the table or jabbing your side. Tyler kind of gets a little agitated when he’s angry with me too and does that kind of stuff. I just wanted to make sure everything was okay.”

“It’s fine,” you reassured. “I just felt a little sick and he wasn’t helping. He’s just playing around.”

“Got it,” she nodded slowly. “Well I’m going to get going. I have some people I have to talk to. Have a great night, y/n. I’ll see you later!”

“Bye Jenna!” you waved. You took a deep breath, then decided to go over to the table of food and grab a small snack. There was a gorgeous cake, topped with a skeleton and alien sugar sculpture, which you thought was probably the works of the sisters. They always had a knack for the cooking, especially around the holiday time. You scooped up a handful of jelly beans, popping one in your mouth when you felt a tap on your shoulder from behind you. You spun around to face Jordan, Josh’s brother.

“Hey y/n,” he smiled.

“Oh hey,” you greeted.

“How was dinner?” he raised an eyebrow.

“It was good,” you nodded.

“Did you like what you saw on stage tonight?” he smirked. You turned bright red.

“W-what?” you tried to hide your blushing but he just chuckled.

“Ah, I got quite an interesting text tonight,” Jordan explained. “I assume it was for you, seeing as Josh said oops and all, and then avoided my seven phone calls.”

“He was just teasing,” you shrugged, trying to dismiss the subject. “You know how he is.”

“Are you sure you guys were at dinner?” he persisted.

“We were,” you narrowed your eyes. “You can ask Tyler and Jenna.”

“Or Josh himself,” Jordan added. “I’m sure he’d tell me quite the story.”

“Shut up,” you rolled your eyes.

“So do tell me,” he insisted. “Did you like what you saw on stage tonight?”

“I could ask you the same thing,” you sighed. “Now go on and cause trouble elsewhere.”

“I’m just playing with you,” he laughed. “Hey, have a good night y/n. And make sure Josh behaves.”

“Oh I will,” you reassured. “I always do.”

“Speaking of the devil,” Jordan pointed to Josh coming over. “Hey, you guys have fun tonight. Take it easy.”

“You too,” you waved him goodbye.

“Hey babe,” Josh wrapped his arms around you, pressing a soft kiss to your lips, pulling you closer. “Let’s get out of here.”

“Josh,” you pushed him back slightly, glaring at him. “No.”

“Yes,” he insisted. “Please.”

“Where would we even go?” you narrowed your eyes. “Definitely not home.”

“Fine,” he bit his lower lip. “Car?”

“No,” you shook your head. “No way.”

“Then let’s go find a place,” he mumbled against your neck, pressing light kisses to your skin. “Baby I’m dying without you.”

“I know, I know,” you reassured.

“Come on, I’m sure there’s a place we can go,” Josh argued. “I’ve literally been waiting since before dinner, sweetheart.”

“Me too,” you admitted. “But we’ve got to be polite.”

“If I find somewhere can we go?” he pleaded. “Please? It will be quick, I don’t care, I just need this.”

“Fine,” you complied, pulling him in for an open mouthed kiss, then letting go. “You have half an hour tops. Then we wait until the end of the night.”

“Got it,” he agreed, giving you a kiss on the forehead before running off, searching for who knows what.

“Where’d he head off to?” a voice behind you wondered with a chuckle. You spun around and then almost had a heart attack when you realized who it was.

“Holy shit!” you gasped, putting a hand to your chest. “Hey.”

“Hi,” Halsey laughed. “Did I scare you?”

“A little bit,” you confessed. “Just didn’t see you coming.”

“That’s alright,” she reassured. “Is Josh okay? He looked kind of anxious running off like that. I was going to congratulate him.”

“Oh,” you blushed. “He’s just um, looking for Tyler. Something important I think, he wouldn’t tell me.”

“Got it,” she nodded slowly. “Well- oh! There he is!”

“Hey,” Josh looked nervous when he plastered on a smile, engulfing Halsey in a hug. “Long time, no see.”

“Yeah,” she rolled her eyes. “I wanted to congratulate you boys! That’s awesome!”

“You too,” he nodded. “Two nominations, that’s insane!”

“Thanks,” she nodded. “So-”

“I’m sorry but me and y/n really have to go,” he apologized. “It’s important.”

“Ah, uh, okay,” she frowned slightly. “It’s cool. I’ll talk to you later then?”

“Yeah,” Josh agreed hurriedly. “Thanks so much!”

“No problem,” she gave a hesitant smile before Josh dragged you out of the conversation, tugging you by the arm up a flight of steps and down a hallway.

“I cannot fucking believe you!” you hissed. “You just freaking dragged me away from a conversation with Halsey!”

“So what?” he replied. “I’m sure if you really wanted to talk to her so bad, you could find another time later tonight.”

“Josh you’ve been going insane,” you argued, wresting free of his grip on your arm and staring at him. “This is out of control.”

“You’re the reason,” he mumbled, dark eyes boring into yours. “God you look so good tonight. I can’t help myself.”

“Yeah?” you smirked, noticing the way he was biting his lower lip, the beads of sweat on his forehead, the rise and fall of his chest.

“Yeah,” he nodded.

“What if I told you you’re not allowed to touch me for the rest of the night, hmm?” you raised an eyebrow, slipping a finger underneath the strap of your dress, dragging it down your shoulder while remaining eye contact with him, watching as his eyes followed your hand in a trance, gaze fixed on every new exposition of skin as you pulled the fabric lower.

“Fuck baby, don’t do this in the hallway,” he ran a hand though his bright yellow curls, tugging hard in frustration, biting down harder on his lip. He glanced to the side, making sure nobody was coming. “Come on, there’s a room just a little while away, I promise.”

“Nah,” you shook your head, smirking as you realized he was getting turned on. You shrugged off the other sleeve of your dress and watched as the fabric fell to your waist, revealing your lacy bra. “I’m comfortable here.”

“Goddammit what if someone sees you?” he whispered.

“Why should I care?” you wondered. “I mean, everyone saw you just fine babe.”

“No,” Josh shook his head immediately. “It’s not like that.”

“Oh but I think it is,” you insisted. “Taking your pants off in front of everyone at the Grammys, standing there in your underwear, everyone looking at you… you didn’t seem to care.”

“That was Tyler’s idea,” he muttered. “Look, I wouldn’t have done that if I knew you didn’t want me to.”

“I don’t know,” you sighed. “Would you care if I was the one standing up there? Stripping down to my underwear like this? Everyone’s eyes fixed on me? Staring at my body? My body that belongs to you?”

“You belong to me,” he insisted.

“Exactly,” you agreed. “So what makes you think the same rules don’t apply to you?”

“I didn’t think you’d care,” he mumbled, looking shy and scared.

“You don’t think I care?” you challenged. “Every night when you take off your shirt at shows? When you’re tugging down your pants on stage? You don’t think I see that, babe?”

“Fuck, please don’t do this here,” he begged, and you glanced down, realizing he had an obvious hard on. “Let’s go to the room.” He reached for your arm but you quickly took a step back, letting the fabric of your dress fall to the floor, and he gasped, eyes transfixed on your body.

“Why should I let you touch me?” you inquired. “I mean, you said it, I don’t care. Do I?”

“Babe that’s not what I meant-” he began, but you shook your head.

“No, I think you did,” you clicked your tongue disapprovingly. There was a pause and then an idea came to mind. “Hmmm you know, maybe I should go back to the party like this. Let everyone see me, let them know how fucking sexy I am, how you’re not the only one who can put on a show.”

“Y/n-” Josh was staring at you, pants growing tighter by the second, straining his voice. “You wouldn’t dare.”

“Maybe I would,” you teased. “I’d be the life of the party, wouldn’t I?”

“I can’t let anyone else see you like this baby,” he argued. “You’re all mine.”

“Am I?” you raised an eyebrow, watching his mouth hang open, speechless, as you dipped a hand underneath your underwear.

“Don’t you fucking dare,” he warned.

“Who’s going to stop me?” you chuckled. “You?”

“Y/n you’re killing me,” he argued. “Fuck just let me touch you. Please.”

“How bad do you want this?” you raised an eyebrow, slipping a finger between your folds and letting out a gasp, watching as Josh’s eyes widened and he tightened his jaw as he watched you, and a smile curled on your lips. “You want this to be you, baby?”

“Yes,” he pleaded. “I need this so bad.”

“I don’t know…” you trailed off your voice, then started to pump another finger inside you, and you let out a soft moan, opening your eyes and looking at Josh, who just about looked like he was going to melt right there.

“I’m begging you y/n,” he inhaled a ragged breath. “Just let me get my hands on you.”

“What’s the magic word?” you smirked.

“Please,” he barely was able to respond.

“Okay,” you smiled, and there wasn’t even a split second that passed before he lunged towards you, pinning your body against the wall, hands behind your head, on your back, on your ass, between your legs, down your thighs, everywhere all at once. His lips attacked yours, tongue absorbing greedy kisses, sliding down your neck, his hips grinding against your already soaking core, hands fumbling with the clasp of your bra when he pulled back, eyes staring into yours.

“You thinking what I’m thinking?” he asked.

“Let’s get out of the motherfucking hallway,” you agreed. You began to kiss him again, wrapping your legs around his waist as he bent down to pick up the fabric of your dress, carrying you towards the room. After violently jostling the doorknob, it finally gave in, and he kicked the door shut with his foot and placed you on a table, tossing your dress aside and attacking you with kisses. You moaned into his mouth, legs still wrapped around him as he pushed your back into the table, grinding against you, and when he pulled away to catch his breath, you looked around, smirking. “Conference table? Really?”

“Best I could find,” he mumbled, burying his head in your neck and sucking at your skin, leaving you a mess of gasps and moans.

“F-fuck Josh,” you stuttered, him unclasping your bra and sliding it up off of your arms, then exploring your breasts and stomach with his lips, trailing kisses across your body.

“Can you believe just moments ago you were saying no to this?” he laughed quietly, tugging down your panties and tossing them aside. “Shit baby, you’re just as much of a mess as I am.”

“Just for you,” you reminded.

“Of course,” he grinned. “You’re all mine.” He delved his tongue into you and you let out a loud moan, feeling your stomach tighten with each movement, his hands gripping on your hips, your fingers tugging on locks of his hair, his nose pressed against your clit, your legs wrapped around his head.

“Josh I’m going to cum,” you barely whispered.

“Do it baby,” he insisted. “Show me how bad you want me inside you.”

“Fuck,” you gasped, coming undone and feeling your orgasm ripple through your body as you eased into the surface of the table, leaning your head back and gasping for breath as Josh licked and sucked between your legs.

“Mmm you taste so good babygirl,” he mumbled. He stood up and tugged off his tie, unbuttoned his shirt, stripping down and sliding off his jeans, then his underwear, climbing on top of you. “And to think you were teasing me all night long, acting like you wouldn’t let me touch you, pretending like you could wait til you got home, trying to act all cool. I could see right through you y/n, I know how bad you want me.”

“Fuck Josh, please,” you begged. “Shit babe, just fuck me already.”

“I don’t know,” he smirked. “Maybe I shouldn’t let you touch me either.”

“Don’t try to pull that right now,” you shook your head, pushing your hips up in attempts to meet his. “I need you so bad.”

“How bad?” he challenged.

“Fuck,” you gasped, frustrated and exhausted, flipping him over so he was the one laying on the conference table, pushing down your hips and sinking his cock into you, pressing your lips against his in a mess of muffled moans.

“You’re so fucking sexy when you’re dominant like this babe,” Josh mumbled against your neck, both of you in sync with thrusts, your hips moving together in perfect rhythm, the two of you both desperate and harsh with each movement.

“Mm they’re going to be looking for us you know,” you sighed, still relentlessly fucking him against the table. “Wondering where we went.”

“And nobody’s going to know about it,” he gave a sly smile. “Nobody but me is going to know how fucking wonderful you are riding my cock like this, baby.”

“Just our little secret,” you promised. “Just the two of us.” You kept going harder and harder until finally the two of you were gasping for air, cumming at the same time, moaning each other’s names loudly and collapsing onto the table, clinging onto each other’s sweaty, exhausted, tired bodies.

“Three of us,” a voice corrected and both you and Josh widened your eyes, scared and surprised.

“Fuck,” you cursed.

“Hey uh, Josh, buddy?” Tyler’s voice came through the crack in the door. Shit, he must’ve found you guys. “Two things I’ve got to tell you. First off, we’re supposed to give a speech soon, so when you’re um, done with that, you should head down. And secondly, always lock the door bro.”

“Yeah,” Josh responded, embarrassed.

“Okay, cool,” Tyler laughed. “Our secret though, it’s fine.”

“Yeah, yeah,” you grumbled. “See you Ty.”

“Hurry up,” he reminded.

“Will do,” Josh reassured, watching as Tyler closed the door with a soft laugh.

“Think we were too loud?” you raised an eyebrow.

“Nah, Tyler’s just being sneaky as fuck,” he shook his head. “God you felt so good though, baby.”

“You always feel good,” you smirked, placing a quick kiss to his lips.

“You going to put your dress back on, babe?” Josh wondered.

“Hmmm, I don’t know,” you teased.

“You better,” he warned.

“Or what?” you challenged.

“Or we might have to come back here later tonight,” he suggested.

“That wouldn’t be a bad thing,” you smiled.

“Come on,” he shook his head, laughing. “Let’s get dressed and then we’ll head down and try to look as composed as possible.”

“Fine,” you decided. “But do know that you look so much better without pants.”

“Thanks,” he blushed. “Now let’s go down there and hope I don’t mess up this stupid speech.”

When you arrived, you were greeted with a loud applause, and you gave Josh a kiss on the cheek before Tyler dragged him out to the middle of the dance floor, the two of them holding a microphone and spilling out a sweet sappy story of how far they’ve come and how thankful they are for today. That’s when Jordan decides to stand beside you, and he stays mostly quiet, except for when Josh comes back and Jordan is a mess of laughter. “Great job, Josh,” you smiled.

“Yeah,” Jordan snickered. “You did amazing. But uh, you might want to lend your little girlfriend over here a sweater or something.”

“How come?” Josh wondered, turning to look at you and then blinking twice.

“What?” you wondered.

“Hickeys,” Jordan smirked. “Looks like you guys had a little fun when you went missing, hmm?”

“Shut up,” Josh narrowed his eyes.

“Just saying,” Jordan shrugged. “I mean, your shirt’s not even buttoned up all the way for Pete’s sake.”

“Goodness gracious,” Josh mumbled, face turning red.

“Whatever,” you laughed. “At least it was a memorable night.”

“Oh believe me, sweetheart,” Josh laughed, wrapping his arms around your waist. “The night’s not even over yet.”

“Hey.”

What if Even bring Isak with him?!??! 😍😍😍

even does ask, a lot. “don’t you want to come and join us?” but isak shakes his head, a little playful smile around his lips.

“no,” he just states, “i think. i think this is something that’s just for you.” he pulls even closer, kisses his forehead, his cheek, and shortly his lips. “but do say hi from me to all of them. tell them that maybe one day they’ll have to pay,” isak grins at even’s frown, then: “for wanting to have you over so much.”

even smiles. “i will,” a quick peck on the mouth, “and i promise i won’t be late.”

but isak? he just shakes his head again

because “it doesn’t matter, baby. come home when you’re done with your stupid shenanigans.”

because “i saw how happy they make you. i’ll be fine this one evening, maybe i’ll force jonas to come over, you know, since i have the whole flat for just myself.”

Patater Week Day 6

Is this a day late?  Yes it is.  Does it still have ridiculous Patater fluff?  Of course!

Kent was furious.  He stomped through the underside of the arena, ears and cheeks red with anger.  Logically he knew it was an accident, and James wouldn’t have done it on purpose, but it still had happened.  Kent rounded the corner into the visiting team’s trainer’s room and visibly relaxed when he saw his boyfriend.

“Kenny, why you here?”  Tater frowned and sat up a little, his trainer pushing him back onto the exam table.

“Mr. Parson, he’s still being examined, so if you wouldn’t mind, could you wait outside?”  The trainer requested.

“He’s my boyfriend, I’m staying right here.”  Kent insisted.

*Your POV*

“Betty, should I wear the red shirt or the blue shirt?” Tonight was the big end-of-summer party and I felt like it was my night to finally get with Archie Andrews. Archie and I have been flirting all summer and it was clear that he had feelings for me like I had for him, but neither of us had said anything. I thought that since Archie would be at the party tonight I could go for it, and if it didn’t work out, I could say it was the liquor talking.

solangelo first kiss? (where neither of them have ever kissed anyone before)

read on ao3

It’s during the summer. Another one of those days when Will drags Nico outside to enjoy the sunshine and soak up the vitamin D.

Nico complains, because of course he does, but really he doesn’t feel any sort of reluctance. Even when the sun burns his legs, because they’re clothed in black jeans, and he has to squint when looking up at Will. Because he’s tall, and the sun is bright, and it kind of obscures his vision.

Not that he mentions that part.

“So what’s your actual plan here?” Nico asks, trying not to flush because Will’s hand is tight around his wrist, pulling him forward. The two of them are making their way through the Camp Half-Blood grounds, and when you get past the cabins and the hoards of people just arriving back for summer, there is so much green.

you’re Kirk’s wife and is close to all the crew, especially Spock, Bones and Scotty. Jim is worried about your safety on the Enterprise so he gets an officer to teach you self-defence. However the officer has a grudge on Kirk and takes it out on the reader who has too much pride to admit what’s going on. So when the boys find out, they go into overprotective mode.

“Are you sure you’re going to be alright?” Jim asked, holding your elbow as you stood outside the door to the gym. Jim had been worrying over you since you had first stepped foot onto the Enterprise.

“I’ll be fine. Now will you please get back to the bridge before this ship falls into disrepair” you teased, kissing his cheek and pushing him away.

“Alright! Alright! I’m going! Comm me when you’ve finished” Jim chuckled, watching you go through into the gym before heading to the bridge. He did have work to do, no matter how much he’d be distracted until you came back.

“Officer LaRue? I’m Ensign Kirk, the Captain said you would be able to teach me some self-defence classes” you introduced, walking up to the rather large officer. You couldn’t help but feel a little bit apprehensive about the class. He was so much bigger than you.

“You’re the Captain’s wife?” he asked, running his eyes up and down you, sizing you up. It did nothing to help soothe the butterflies in your stomach.

“Technically yes but I think you’re meant to call me Ensign” you corrected, bouncing on the balls of your feet. You always felt embarrassed when people found out your connection to Jim. No embarrassed was the wrong word, nervous. Yes that was it, nervous in case they thought you had gotten into the Enterprise because of your husband. When instead it was because of all your hard work.

LaRue shrugged, beginning to get out some equipment. “I don’t care. We should get started. I expect you to work hard and keep up with me. I’m not going to go easy on you because you’re a girl” LaRue grumbled, as you bristled at that. It was fair though, you wanted to prove that you could handle being on the Enterprise. So if LaRue was your best chance, you would take it.

“So why aren’t you teaching her Captain?” Scotty asked, poking at his salad. Bones had put him on a diet, much to the irritation of the engineer.

“Because the Captain would hate to see Ensign Kirk hurt” Spock replied, going through his data pad.

“More like he’d get distracted too much” Bones scoffed, eating his sandwich with relish as he stared at a gaping Scotty.

Jim rolled his eyes, glancing at his comm link in hope he had a message. “Shut up Bones! I just want to make sure Y/N is going to be okay on the ship. Especially as everyone knows that she’s my wife” Jim shrugged, putting him comm down a little bit too forcefully.

“No one would harm Y/N Captain” Spock assured, typing away.

“Hey!” You greeted, sitting beside Jim in the canteen. Honestly you were exhausted and you felt so sore. LaRue did not go easy on you at all, even considering that this was your first time.

“Hey how was it?” Jim grinned, kissing your cheek as he wrapped an arm round you to bring you closer to him.

You groaned, resting your head on his shoulder. “Good but I’m aching all over. Like in places I didn’t know should ever hurt” you grumbled, shaking your head. Honestly your arms ached, your legs were killing and you didn’t even want to know what was going on with your back.

“Maybe you should have a medical” Bones suggested, reaching for his drink.

“No thanks, Bones! I’m pretty sure I’m fine” you quickly cried, making Jim scoff into his lunch. It always amused him of your aversion for Bones when he was in doctor mode. It was probably due to how many times you had seen the doctor sticking a hypospray in Jim’s neck.

“Perhaps it would be better for you to keep practicing Ensign. To become more used to the demands of the lessons” Spock advised, raising an eyebrow at your dramatics.

“I know that Spock, it doesn’t make my muscles hurt any less” you groaned, rolling your eyes at him. “Anyway, I should probably be getting back to work. I’ll see you tonight. See you later guys” you murmured, pecking Jim’s lips before waving at the others.

As the weeks went on, you were becoming more and more covered in bruises. You hid yourself from everybody, especially Jim. All your skin was covered to make sure that no one could see the bruises.

You had worked out a while ago that something wasn’t right. That no matter how much self-defence LaRue was teaching you, it didn’t make sense as to the level of force he used on you. So that was why you had stopped becoming intimate with Jim, scared in case he would find the bruises on your body and think you couldn’t handle yourself. Well you could. You just needed to find out a way to knock LaRue the fuck out.

“Ensign Kirk” a voice called from behind you, making you grimace. At the moment all you wanted to do was get on with your work so you could go to your quarters and have a nice warm bath.

“Hey Spock, what are you doing down here?” you greeted, waiting for him to fall instep with you.

“I was wondering if you and the Captain are alright. The Captain seems very tense lately and I wished to know if there was anything I could do to help” Spock told me, following me down the corridor to my work station.

“We’re fine Spock, don’t worry. Jim’s just feeling stressed. Maybe you and Bones should take him for a drink next time we’re on a planet. It might cheer him up” you suggested, feeling guilt whirl in your stomach. You knew the reason Jim was so tense lately was because of you. So to offer a suggestion that you knew would not help, it made you feel 10 times worse about the situation.

“Of course. Maybe you could join us Y/N” Spock offered, handing you your datapad for you to use.

“Thanks Spock, but I don’t think that would help. Besides, it’s a boy’s night out. The clue is kind of in the name” you smiled, pulling up your work before looking up at Spock. It was so good to be surrounded by friends, even if you couldn’t tell them everything.

“Is that seriously all you got? I’ve seen more fight in a Klingon, you’re pathetic!” LaRue sneered, kicking you in the ribs as you tried to pull yourself up for what felt like the 100th time. In fact you were pretty sure it was.

“Well maybe I should have a better teacher” you hissed between gritted teeth as you clutched onto your ribs. Before you had time to say or do anything else, LaRue was gripping onto your elbow and pulling you up onto your feet again.

“You’re the one who wanted this, Princess! Why don’t you stop acting like a pathetic wimp and actually give me a fight” he growled, before punching you in your stomach. The pain almost had you throwing up as you tried to remember how to breathe again. Your mind became fuzzy as you concentrated on standing on your own two feet rather than collapsing at LaRue’s.

Turning to face him, you swung a punch at him but he ducked, landing a blow to your side. You grunted out in pain, landing on your knees. Already your bruised ribs were going to turn into a darker colour, you just knew it.

Dragging yourself up, you faced him, slightly unsteady on your feet. He smirked at you, enjoying seeing you so weak and in pain. Waiting for him to come at you, you timed it just right so you could punch him clear in the jaw. LaRue went down like a tonne of bricks and you felt a sigh of relief escape you. You had managed to knock that frustrating little smirk off his face.

However your victory was short lived as LaRue grabbed you around the waist and tackled you onto the mat. All your breath left you as you were winded, groaning out slightly at how much pain you was in. It felt like you had been hit with a starship.

“That’s enough for today! I’d say learn some better moves but it’s obviously a waste of my time and oxygen” he grunted, holding his bloodied lip. It still made you feel a tiny bit proud of yourself though.

Making your way down to your quarter for a shower, you couldn’t help but notice yourself struggling to breathe. Even though your ribs ached like they normally did, this time it felt like you were getting stabbed with every inhale and exhale. This time you couldn’t ignore it, especially when an ensign accidentally bumped into you and nearly sent your vision white with a burst of pain.

Grunting in both annoyance and pain, you realised that you’d have to go down to Medbay.

Poking your head around the door, you could sigh in relief if it didn’t feel so bad when you didn’t see Bones in the vicinity. That meant he was either in his office doing work or that he was with Jim. Stepping properly into the room, you went to grab the attention of a nurse when you saw your luck go up in smoke. Bones had walked in from his office directly in front of you and had spotted you. Cursing your luck and Bones’s untimely appearance, you turned on your heel before he could call you.

“Y/N? What are you doing in here? That idiot hasn’t got himself hurt again has he?” Bones greeted, reaching out for your shoulder to spin you around. You flinched away, instantly regretting it as you had to breathe out through gritted teeth. “Y/N?” he frowned in concern, eyes raking over you.

“I’m fine, sore shoulder. I was just looking for Jim. Thought he’d be here. I’d better go though” you muttered, keeping your sentences short so you didn’t have to take in as much breath.

Bones took in your hunched posture, clenched fists and slightly sweaty forehead, realising that something was wrong. “Yeah that’s not a sore shoulder. Come on” Bones stated, leading me to a bed.

“Honestly Bones, it’s fine! You don’t need to worry, it’ll be fine once I have a shower and a good night’s rest” you protested, trying to think of some excuse to get you out of this. If they found out about this you knew they would become overprotective of you, not let it rest until they found out who was doing this to you. And Jim would feel so guilty about getting LaRue to teach you self defence.

“You can’t even stand up straight. Now shut up and get on the bed!” Bones ordered, preparing the tricorder he would need to scan you.

“Your bedside manner is atrocious doctor” you complained as you did what you was told. Maybe you could just get away with it being a bruised rib. Yeah… that was the best you could hope for.

“Well I don’t do this job to get friends, darlin’. Now sit still while I actually do my job” Bones muttered, beginning to scan you. He frowned, noticing the incredible amount of white blood cells in your blood stream but no actual cause of illness. He lowered the tricorder over your chest cavity before he stopped, staring at the result. What the hell?

“May I?” he asked gently, hands reaching for your regulation shirt.

You gulped, jaw tightening before nodding. He lifted up your shirt, staring at the expanse of bruises that littered all over your body. There was various colours, indicating the age of the bruises: blues, blacks, greens and browns. The worst was over your ribs and even from here he could see the slight misshape of your lower ribs.

“Who did this?” Bones growled, eyes shooting up to yours.

“Bones, it’s nothing. I can handle-” you started, knowing exactly how this was going to work.

“Like hell you can! You’ve broken a rib Y/N! It’s why you can’t breathe without it hurting. Now who’s done this to ya or do I have to call Jim?” he demanded, getting a hypospray ready to give you some painkillers. Sighing heavily, you told him to call Jim. It would be better if they were all here so you could tell them. You didn’t really want to have to repeat it to everybody.

“Y/N! Hey, what’s wrong? Bones said to come down to medbay at once” Jim frowned, hurrying to your side as Spock followed in after him. Bones quickly shut the divider firmly behind them. You sighed, resting yourself against Jim, grimacing as you did so.

“I uh… I need to tell you something. I didn’t mean to keep it from you but… uh… I mean” you stuttered, nerves eating at your stomach. What if they were mad at you? What if they blamed you in some way? All these questions ran through your head as you tried to find the right words.

“She’s got a broken rib, extensive bruising and she’s lucky to have missed out on internal bleeding” Bones reported, interrupting your stuttering to tell everybody his diagnosis.

“What? How? Are you okay?” Jim questioned, hands coming to skim over your sides and pull up your shirt. He stopped at seeing your bruised body, unable to take in the sight. This is why you had been so distant. Why you didn’t want him to touch you or even see you undress. “Who did this?” Jim whispered, voice deceptively calm.

“Jim, just listen for a minute okay. Don’t get mad” you sighed, holding onto your ribs.

“Don’t get mad?! It looks like you’ve been beaten to within an inch of your life! Who did this to you? Y/N, you have to tell me” Jim shouted, gripping onto your shoulders.

“LaRue.”

“I’ll kill him. I’ll kill him” Jim growled, jumping up from the bed and storming towards the exit. You knew without doubt that Jim would, the conviction in his voice and the anger which strum through his body would make sure of it. But you didn’t want Jim to do that. It would destroy him if it did. He would lose his Captaincy, get thrown out of Starfleet and lose all that he had worked so hard for. You knew it would kill him to go through that.

“Jim! Stop!” you cried, trying to follow him but you couldn’t. The movement had caused your whole chest and back muscles to spasm, making you crumple to the floor. You would have hit your head on the bed if it wasn’t for Bones catching you and trying to hold you back.

Jim stopped, looking torn between helping you and making sure you were alright. Or paying a visit to LaRue and throwing him out of an airlock.

“Captain, maybe it is best to listen to Y/N. If you try and go after LaRue, I fear that Y/N may injure herself further by running after you” Spock objected, glancing at Jim as Bones helped me back onto the bed.

“Definitely agreeing with you there Spock…Jim, will you please just leave it. If you kill him, he’ll make sure you’ll lose everything you love. Including this ship” you told him, grimacing as you lay back down on the bed.

“He already hurt the thing I love the most” Jim sighed, coming to sit on the side of your bed and take your hand.

“I’m going to give you a painkiller and then I’ll give you something for your ribs. It might knock you out for a few hours but you’ll be as good as new when you wake up” Bones informed, getting everything prepared.

“Does this mean he’s going to stab me with a hypospray again?” you whinged, pouting up at your husband who smiled reassuringly. However, before he could reply back, you felt a flare of pain in your arm as Bones pressed a hypospray into you. “OUCH!” you cried, pulling away as he reached for the spray that would mend your ribs.

“Don’t be such an infant!” Bones scoffed, stabbing you again.

“Jim… you need to fire him!” you breathed, already feeling the medication work. You tried your best to fight it as you could blearily see Jim lean over and kiss your head. The last thing you saw before you fell asleep was Jim smiling at you softly as he cupped your cheek.

Kirk found LaRue just finishing up his shift when he cornered him in a practice room. “So let me guess? You thought it would be a good idea to hurt Y/N, the woman I love, because of something I did” Jim announced, making LaRue jump and spin around in fear. Jim felt a streak of pleasure at seeing the man who had hurt his wife now terrified of him.

“Captain… uh… what are you talking about?” LaRue murmured, glancing behind Jim at Spock and Bones who was blocking the door. They were furious, faces cold and hard with no hint of kindness at all. They loved Y/N like their own sister and they would not tolerate anyone hurting her.

“Of course not! Spock, why don’t you shut the door, this might take a while” Jim suggested, lips quirking up at LaRue.

“Captain! Please! It’s a misunderstanding! I was teaching her self-defence!” LaRue protested, stepping back against the wall.

“Ensign Kirk had a broken rib and multiple bruises over her body. I fail to see how that is efficiently teaching her self-defence” Spock rebuked, raising an eyebrow at the officer in front of him.

“She was bound to get hurt while I was teaching her!” LaRue objected, trying anything to get himself out of this. Surely they wouldn’t hurt him right? I mean after all, there was protocol.

“Good god man! You were meant to be teaching her, not beating her until she could barely breath! What kind of man are you to take advantage of her like that?” Bones snarled, stepping forward, fist clenched.

“Let me see, it was because I passed the promotion to someone else wasn’t it?” Jim smirked, punching LaRue with a right hook on his jaw. LaRue went down like a tonne of bricks, clutching his jaw tightly as he groaned. “Or was it when I refused to pick you for a expedition when you had been drinking? Oh, is it because I had you court-martial because you were drunk on duty?” Jim growled, hitting him again and breaking LaRue’s nose. It sent blood spurting out over the floor.

Jim grabbed him by the lapels of his shirt and slammed him into the wall, hearing the dull metal clunk at the impact. “Or was it because I embarrassed you back at the Academy because I beat you in all our classes? Huh? Is that it?” Jim snarled, kneeing LaRue in the side. LaRue groaned, doubling over onto the floor, clutching his side.

“So when you had the chance to hurt my wife, I bet you jumped at it. I bet there was a place deep inside your sick mind that couldn’t wait to make her feel the pain, the embarrassment that you felt” Jim hissed, crouching down to LaRue’s side. Jim gripped LaRue’s hair, making sure he was looking at him. “Well, just so you know. You’re going to be responsible for getting kicked off this ship, a court-martial back on Earth and knowing you’ll never be working on a starship ever again. Not if I can help it anyway” Jim growled, shoving him away.

“Jim, that’s enough. Come on!” Bones interfered, pulling Jim away from the gasping man. “I’ll get someone to bring him to medbay before he’s transported back to Starfleet” Bones told him, leading Jim away.

“Oh, if you ever touch Y/N again, I swear I will find you and I will kill you” Jim promised, holding onto his bloodied fist.

“Captain, come. Y/N will be awake soon” Spock instructed, ushering Jim out the room while Bones called for some help to take LaRue down to the medbay for a check over.

When you woke up, you felt groggy and confused for a few moments, the medication still in your bloodstream. But at least you could breathe better now, the pain in your body gone. Looking to the side of you, you spotted Jim sitting in a chair next to yours. He had fallen asleep with his head on the bed, snoring slightly. Running your fingers through his soft blonde hair, you looked back at the bright ceiling before looking to your other side.

You gaped, shocked at what you saw. There in the bed next to you was LaRue. He was surrounded by security but he looked like he had been knocked out. Shaking your head, you realised what had happened.

Tugging on Jim’s hair to wake him up, you heard his cries of pain as you spun your head to scowl at him. “Ow what was that for?!” he complained, rubbing his head as he gaped at you.

“You have a lot of explaining to do, idiot!” you glowered, pointing to the bed next to you.

“Oh that… don’t pretend you don’t like my protectiveness Y/N” he smirked, leaning back in his chair.

“Jim Kirk, you are nothing but trouble” you sighed, shaking your head as you couldn’t help but smile at him. Because it was true. You did love how protective he was of you. Even if he didn’t listen to you.

“C’mon, (Y/N), why won’t you come tonight? For me?” Your best friend pestered you during your last class of the day. It was the Friday before a long weekend and you just couldn’t wait to unwind in the comfort of your home. Nothing appealed to you more in that moment than the idea of putting on your coziest pajamas, watching the cheesiest k-drama, and eating some spicy ramen. But that’s not what Yoona thought. She gave you the best puppy dog eyes she could muster as she continued to question you. “You never go out! And it’s my birthday this weekend. If you go you won’t even have to get me a gift…”

“Why is it so important that I go? You go to parties without me all the time!” You rolled your eyes at her as you shoved a book into your bag.

You watched him as he slept peacefully, like a child without a care in the world. His features were relaxed and his breathing heavy and even, his dark hair messy from the hours he had spent asleep. You couldn’t help but smile at how cute he looked, his usual grumpy face nowhere to be seen. Yet you felt sad, you couldn’t quite put your finger on what caused the sudden feeling. Your thoughts drifted off to your childhood and the first date you and Derek ever went to. From that you remembered your one year anniversary, and the magical trip to Greece you had enjoyed together. You remembered the way he looked at you, dressed in a yellow sundress and your hair wild and free while the sun shined above you. Even though the place was crowded with people he still looked at you like you were the only one there.

A/N: i’ve been procrastinating on writing a second part to this because i suck, sorry. enjoy! also just realized that the first got more than 100+ notes? thank you loves!

Part 1

After that day, it was extremely difficult to walk out of your apartment without reporters flashing lights in your face or taking pictures of you. It was the same questions, like how does it feel to have three soulmates? And did you ever think this would happen to you? Three eligible bachelors fanning for your affection? But it was not what you imagined. It’s not what anyone imagined meeting their soulmate (correction: *soulmates) would be like.

This was just the beginning of your odd relationship with them. Burr would drop you off at work in the morning, Madison would take you to a local coffee shop on break, and Jefferson would take you home. Once he asked if you would go to his house instead, with a wink.

You didn’t.

It was hard. It was extremely hard to deal with. Your heart was torn in literally three pieces, fighting to share your love with all three of them. You were stressed, and you cursed to the universe every night. There were being even more unfair, they were making you exhausted every day.

Eliza said that you were complaining too much, and that you should appreciate what the world has given you. You retorted back, asking if she could handle having three soulmates. She blushed, wiggling her eyebrows at you.

You decided to not bring it up to her again.

After a few weeks of this, you decided to have a meeting with all three of them at your home. There were few reporters still there, and Thomas made the last few go away, with threatening to call his “resources” to make them get fired. They quickly dispersed after that, never showing their faces to you again. You shook your head at Thomas’s threat, but he insisted that it was for your privacy, and that he would do everything in his power to keep the media out of your lives.

You ordered takeout that night, the boys wanting to buy it for you instead. You scowled them for the hundredth time that day, telling them that you had enough money to spare. You appreciated their kindness, but sometimes, you wanted to treat them instead.

You heard a knock on the door, and opened it, your three soulmates standing there in front of you. You couldn’t ignore the throbbing in your chest when you saw them, the universe reminding you that you loved them more than anything. Jefferson wore a dark purple shirt tonight, his hair neatly combed (if you could do that to the curls on his head). He walked in, kissing your forehead softly. Madison strolled by next, wearing a dark blue shirt. The smile on his face made you grin back at him, he kissed your cheek. Burr was the last, wearing a black shirt. He pulled you into a hug instead, holding you as tight as possible.

They all gathered in the kitchen, sitting at the small table. You lived alone, so a small table with four chairs seemed enough for you, at the time. Now that these massive men were in your home, you made a mental note to buy a bigger table. The three of them were cramped in the apartment, constantly bumping into each other. Maybe a bigger apartment instead.

“How are you, my love?” Jefferson asked, gathering the plates.

“I’m fine, Thomas.” You replied, pulling out the rice containers. James placed his hand on the small of your back, telling you to sit down.

“We’ve got this, Y/N. You bought the food, so we’ll serve you.” Burr grabbed sodas out of the fridge, and James helped, putting ice in the cups.

You were extremely thankful for them. As you four sat down, Madison next to you and Burr and Jefferson across from you. You wanted to enjoy your moment with the boys, but you couldn’t help but bring up the point that you needed to make. They were chatting with each other, ignoring your pleas and gestures. After a minute of this, you rose you voice, causing them all to look at you.

“Listen, guys, listen. I, don’t you think our situation is weird? We’re all soulmates, isn’t that strange to you at all?” Madison was the first one to shake his head.

“Not at all. Before we met you, Thomas and I grew up knowing that there was someone out there who had the same tattoo as us. Once ours didn’t glow or hurt when we saw it, we knew there was a missing link.” Madison glanced over at Burr. “Two missing links.”

“James is right, this seems okay to me. Why, do you not like us?” Burr asked, pausing in his eating. You sighed, putting your head in your hands. You were constantly bombarded with mixed emotions from the three of them all the time. There was research done that suggests soulmates felt the pain and other emotions of their loved one, and vice versa. Since you had three, you felt all of what they felt.

Right now, you felt nervousness emulating from all of them. It was cumbersome to deal with all their emotions at the same time. Your head was throbbing, and you tried to deal with it. “No, Aaron, that’s not what I’m trying to say. I just, I don’t know if I can do this.” You whispered.

You felt a burning sensation on your arm, and looked at it quickly. The dragon tattoo on your arm was burning bright red, fading the tail of the dragon. You widened your eyes at your arm, looking at your soulmates. They were all looking at theirs as well, watching it fade.

“You’re rejecting us, Y/N?” Thomas whispered, a small bit of sorrow in his eyes.

“No, I’m not, I-“

“We’ve researched this for our whole lives, Y/N, don’t you remember? We know what happens to soulmates when one of them rejects the other. Your tattoo begins to fade. As you grow away from them, it continues to dissipate, until there is nothing left. We know what we’re talking about.” Thomas hissed, growing angry. You shook your head, looking at the dragon.

“I don’t know how I feel about all of you, about this.” You whispered. “I care about all of you, but it’s like I’m not myself anymore. It’s like, everything you guys think, everything you do, consumes me. I can’t think around you all.”

Burr grabbed your fingers, his eyes pleading with you. “We can figure this out, we are scientists. We can make it easier for you to handle. Just, just don’t give up on us, please.” Burr said desperately. You hated hearing his voice shake, but you needed some space, and space. To deal with this.

You nodded, hearing Burr sigh in relief. He was the most sensitive out of the four of you. Since you two have met, he needed constant reassurance that you were not going to leave him. You always wondered why, but never found the time to ask him about it.

“I won’t give up on you three, I need some time. I need some time to stop these headaches that I’m getting. It’s hard enough to deal with my own emotions, let alone three other people.” They nodded. You sensed relief from the rest of them, and it calmed your headache. Dealing with positive emotions were much easier than negative ones.

“Can we eat in piece, now?” Thomas mumbled, grabbing an egg roll from the pile. You smiled at him, picking the sweet and sour chicken out of the middle. “Y/N, I told you to get soy sauce.” He grumbled, staring at the sauces on the table.

“I asked the lady for it, did she not put any in the bag?” Thomas pouted, and you told him to check in the closet for sauce. Fortunately, you saved packages from previous takeout. He grinned happily, sitting back down next to Burr. “Guys, I have a question.” They all looked up at you. “Do you, do you feel the same way about each other like I feel about you. You know, romantic feelings?” Burr laughed, glancing at the two men next to him.

“Why do you ask?” Madison asked.

“Because, it seems weird that we’re soulmates and I only love you, but you don’t love each other.”

“Good question.” Thomas replied, lending you no more information. You rolled your eyes at his lack of a response.

“Come on.” You grumbled.

“We do, love each other.” Madison answered for them, twirling noodles in his fork. “Before we met you, it was more like a brotherly love. We knew we were soulmates, too, so that was kind of a given.”

Thomas interrupted Madison. “We didn’t know how many people were going to be soulmates with us, especially after we found Burr. Honestly, I thought it was going to be more than ten people, which sounds ridiculous.” He mumbled, playing with his mac and cheese. You made it for him yourself, since he was always unhappy when dinner didn’t include the “delicacy” (he called mac and cheese that constantly).

“I’m happy that it’s only four, Y/N. Three’s a crowd, four’s a party.” Burr winked, causing you to blush.

“But yes, we do love each other. Once our tattoos glowed, there was a click, at least for me, when I looked at the other two. It was like I was seeing them for the first time.” James replied, smiling at the other two. “I’m happy for us, I really am.”

“And we’ll have great sex.” Thomas murmured, making your face reddened even more than before. You were reminded of Eliza’s look when she mentioned the four of you.

“You’re embarrassing Y/N.” Burr chuckled. Thomas looked up from his food, smirking at you. He wiggled his eyebrows, nudging Burr. Burr grinned, putting his hand on Thomas’s thigh.

“Can we stop talking about the deed? I just want to watch a movie later.” You mumbled. Who knows what emotions you would feel when that happened.

“And after…?” Madison questioned, giving you an evil grin. You gasped, surprised at how blunt Madison was. He was usually the one to mediate and calm everyone down, but it seems like tonight, he was encouraging the other two. You snickered.

“Let’s just focus on the movie right now.”

“We’re definitely gonna f*ck tonight.” Thomas mumbled, and you threw a piece of bread at him. He raised his eyebrows, holding a piece of pork in his hand. You warned him with your eyes, and he grinned, tossing the piece of food at you. The sauce on it hit your face, leaving a trail of grease. You glared at him, picking up the rice container in front of you.

Thomas held his hands up in defense, looking at you. “Come on, Y/N, you started it! Just, not the rice, please. It would take me forever to get it out of my hair.” He complained, and you tossed it anyway, the pellets going on all three of you boyfriends. James sighed, picking the rice off his food. Aaron laughed, grabbing the noodle container. He looked at James, then placed it quickly on his hair, giggling evilly.

James frowned, the noodles cascading down his face. “That’s it, I’m going to stop this right now.” James grabbed the soda bottle from the middle of the table, and poured it on Aaron, and you heard a gasp come out of his mouth.

You three began this insane food fight, tossing anything that was close by. After a few minutes, all the food was on the floor, stains were everywhere; from the ceiling fan to inside your closet. When you were looking at the aftermath, they boys stared at you sheepishly. You broke out into a grin, and laughed.

“You guys are so going to help me fix this up.” James grabbed your waist and ran, carrying you in his arms. You laughed, hitting him on his back softly. “James, we need to clean this up! I don’t want it to stain!”

“We’ll clean it later, but now…” Thomas said, grinning. Aaron was hanging on Thomas’s back, all of them leading you to the bedroom. The happiness radiating from all of them made your heart swell with glee.

And that’s when you knew. You knew that you could handle being with the three of them. At this moment, you could not imagine your life without them in it.

Awakened Destiny- Part 7

Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6

“I can’t keep doing this, you have to get out of this life, Y/N” Sam said, facing away from you as his fingers tapped the doorframe.

Your eyes dropped to your stomach, your fingers grazing Sam’s shirt now draped over you. If it weren’t for Cas healing you, you’d been long dead by now. Hell, you hadn’t honestly expected to survive anyway.

“Don’t do this, Sam…” you spoke quietly, every part of you hoping to god that this was just a petty conversation; that tomorrow you’d be wrapped up in his arms without a care in the world. You’d had these talks before, but his tone was different this time.

“I won’t keep watching you get hurt, I need you to be safe… and if that means…” he gulped as his eyes darted away, “if that means letting you go, then so be it” he finished, still refusing to make eye contact with you; knowing he would crumble if he did so.

Wedding Series #2 - He Proposes (Niall)

A/N: Man this is totally how I’d want to be proposed to…

You were lying on the sun lounger by the pool, completely relaxed under the warmth of the afternoon, perfectly content to spend the rest of the week in this exact position. You and Niall had decided to get away for a mini holiday, something that would clear both your heads. Work had been busy lately and you were finding yourself to be more stressed than anything when you came home of an evening; Niall really not much better.

The boys were in a tough position with the new album and the tension was obvious in the lines of his face, the way he looked so beaten down when he came home from the studio, hair tousled like he’d had his fingers in it all day. You’d suggested getting away and he’d jumped at the idea, finding a nice secluded resort right on the beach were the both of you could just shut off the world.

You peeked your eyes open as you felt drops of water landing on your legs and stomach, your eyes widening as you saw a very pool soaked Niall standing above you, cheeky smile on his lips.
“Don’t,” You warned, pointing a finger at him.
“Your not gonna lie out here all day are you?” He asked, pouting.
“Maybe, there’s nowhere else I have to be.”
“Come into the pool,” He replied, bending down to kiss your shoulder, a whine leaving your lips as his wet hair rubbed against your cheek. “Please.”
“Fine, fine, I’ll get into the pool.”

Niall smiled triumphantly, moving away from you so you could stand up. You slipped out of your cover up before tying your hair up into a bun, keeping your sunglasses perched on your face; there was no way you were getting your head wet. Niall hopped back into the pool, turning around to face you as you slipped yourself in, shivering a little at the cool water. Before you knew what was happening Niall had his arms around you, holding you tightly to his chest as he waded down into the deeper end of the pool; he knew you couldn’t quite touch the bottom.
“What are you doing?” You whined, wrapping your legs around his waist.
“Making sure you can’t go anywhere,” He answered.
You huffed, wondering what on earth he was up to.

wARREN OR PETER GETTING FLUSTERED WHEN THEIR S/O IS AFFECTIONATE WITH THEM (if u choose Warren: his wings get poofy and his face gets red) ((if u choose Peter: he has leg twitches and tries to laugh it off - nervously so)) —- actual goddess Pascale

I wrote this in attempt to avoid my problems (lol oops) so it’s probably shit, I guarantee it.

——————-

“Warren your face is red.”

“Shut up Scott.” Warren grumbled, his face burning as you slid your fingers in his, leaning up to press your lips against his cheek.

“Yeah, shut up Scooter.” You laughed, arms swinging as you walked.

“I’m sick of you two.” Scott said, frowning at the concrete as he narrowly avoided stepping in gum.

“You love us.” You grinned, “And besides, if you’re so sick of us you wouldn’t have dragged us out here. We could be in the mansion, in our own rooms-”

“Don’t finish that sentence.” Scott said, “Please, for the sake of my sanity.”

“-sleeping. In our own rooms, sleeping.” You finished, eyebrow raising “What’d you think I was gonna say? Fucking?”

“Well, yes actually.” Scott said at the same time that Warren said “Duh.”

“You’re both ridiculous.” Jean said, laughing as she plopped down onto the grass, unfolding a blanket.

Jean thought stargazing would be a good idea, that’s why you were all outside at 11:00 o'clock at night.

Warren almost dropped the blanket he was holding, casually tossing it onto the ground before sitting down and pulling you down onto it, wrapping his arms around you.

“You’re cute, you know.” You grumbled, laying back as he did, smushing you into his side and kissing your forehead.

“You’re one to talk.” He whispered, grinning as you slid your arms around him. “You’re the cutest person I’ve ever met.”

You could hear Scott and Jean talking to each other, about fifteen feet away from the two of you, Scott’s arm wrapped around her shoulder ‘casually’, you could definitely tell he just did the yawn then arm around shoulder move. Classic Scooter.

“That’s a lie, you’ve met Kurt.” You said, looking up at him, running your fingers through his hair and letting your hand rest at him jaw. “I like you.”

He looked down at you, with your eyes wide and bright, “I like you too, quite a lot.”

His face started burning when you kept playing with his hair, touching the feathers at the edge of his wings, sliding your fingers into his. He sat up, pulling you up with him, as his wings puffed up and made it hard for him to lay down.

“What’s wrong?” You asked, worried you crossed a line.

“Nuthin.” He grumbled, pulling you into his arms and holding you.

“You’re face is hot.” You grumbled, hands against his cheeks, “Are you feeling well?”

“Yes, ’m fine I swear.” He said, wings twitching slightly as you slid your hand between them, rubbing his nose against yours to make you laugh.

“Angel” he kissed you, “Are you blushing?”

He almost automatically said “No! Why would I be blushing?”

“Whys your face so warm then?” You asked, quirking an eyebrow.

“Maybe because it’s hot outside.” He said, knowing full and well that it wasn’t.

“You’re blushing.” You said, laughing as he groaned “Don’t even deny it, your wings are a giveaway.”

“I’ve been betrayed by my own body.” He groaned, quietly. “You know me too well.”

“Well of course I do, you’re my angel.”

His face burned at the name, his heart swelling, wings puffing, and his eyes crinkling, grinning he said “Yeah I am.”

“Would you guys shut up over there? I’m trying to flirt!” Scott shouted, making both you and Warren jump.

“Oh shut up, Scott.” Warren said, “Just make out already.”

Auston Matthews #16

The first time Auston banged the door, you almost fell from the couch – it literally sounded like a bomb went off, just imagine the power those massive muscles held. Now, though, you can sleep through the night even if he banged his way down to the living room.

I Hope You'll Keep Me Around

Lin x Reader
Word Count: 1298

You dragged Lin into the next shop, much to his displeasure; “This is what you have to look forward to, Little Man,” he said to the little boy sitting on his hip, “This is what marriage is.”

You rolled your eyes, “Lin, we haven’t been shopping in months; you need a new sweater, I want some more dresses, and this little fella,” you grinned, pinching your sons cheeks, “Has already outgrown most of his outfits. Isn’t that right,” you asked, pressing a gentle kiss onto your sons nose.

He nodded his head, “They’re too small, Daddy,” he said, making you smile. Thank goodness he had agreed with you; after years of being with Lin, telling him ‘no,’ had become easier and easier. But this little man-he was a hard one to argue with. And both of them combined? There’s no way you could win that. You hoped they never realized how powerful they could be when they teamed up.

Lin sighed softly, but nodded his head, “Fine,” he said, “But we’ve already been here for an hour and a half; it’s nearly dinner time.”

You nodded your head, as you son wiggled himself out of his father’s grip and made his way onto the ground. He was very good at walking now, despite being a bit clumsy; this wasn’t due to lack of skill, rather it seemed to just be in his nature. Knowing this, you offered him your hand. He took it, and the three of you walked through the shop, picking out different outfits, mostly for you.

“Maybe we could eat out tonight?” You suggested, “We can go wherever you want,” you sang, bumping your hip into his.

Lin nodded his head, “Fine,” he sighed, leaning over to kiss you cheek, “We can eat at that Chinese place a block down from our place?” He asked, not bothering to disguise the hopefulness in his voice.

You nodded your head, “Of course,” you replied, going onto your tippy toes so you could return the kiss.

He grinned against your lips, pulling away, only to give you another one on your forehead, “I’m gonna go wait on the benches outside,” he said, “I can take the lil man with me if you want,” he offered, looking down to his son.

Immediately, your little boy shook his head, “We’re shopping, dad!” He exclaimed, latching himself onto your arm.

You chuckled and looked up to Lin, who was grinning, “He’s just like me,” you bragged, running your hand threw your son’s hair, messing it all up.

Lin rolled his eyes, “Whatever,” he smirked, playfully, “I’m waiting outside; you two take your time,” he sighed.

You nodded your head, knowing well that he DID NOT want you to take your time; and to be fair, you had dragged him shopping on his day off, and you had been here for nearly two hours. So, after quickly finding yourself a cute new outfit, and one for your son, you began picking things out for Lin.

“Do you think daddy will like this?” You asked your baby boy, holding up a plaid button up shirt, that you definitely planned on using as pyjamas. Nobody had to know that, though.

“Um,” you son pondered, “His favourite colour is not red, momma,” he said, his little eyebrows raised.

“Oh of course,” you chuckled, putting the shirt bag on the shelf; “What is his favourite colour, then, Angel?” You asked, looking at the wall filled with men’s shirts.

His little eyes scanned the walls, before proudly exclaiming, “Blue!” He pointed to one of the shirts residing on a shelf, far to high for your son to reach. On your tippy toes, you managed to pull one down. You held it up; light blue, dark blue, white and a little bit of black.

You held it up for your son to inspect; “This one?” You asked, cocking your head to the side.

Nodding his head, your little boy grinned brightly, “He will love it,” he decided, his little smile never leaving his adorable little face.

“Okay,” you grinned, reaching for your boy’s hand, “blue it is; now he needs some new jeans, a new sweater, and then we can go out to eat our dinner. Sound like a plan, lil man?” You asked, swinging your arm with his, gently.

“Sounds like a plan!” He agreed with a laugh, running his little hands along every shelf and rack the pair of you passed by.

The rest of your shopping day didn’t take very long; you knew Lin was becoming impatient, but he was hiding it well, and your son was, really, just happy to be there. Like usual.

The three of you caught a cab home, to drop off your bags, before heading to your favourite Chinese place down the street.

“Mommy bought a dress,” your son said, catching his dad up on all of the afternoon activities, “It’s the colour blue, even though her favourite is red,” he said, with his eyebrows raised. “Sometimes you can wear a colour that is not your favourite,” he said through a mouth full of noodles.

Lin nodded his head, but before he could get a word in, your little guy continued; “You’re favourite colour is blue,” your son said, looking at his father, intently, “You will like mommy’s dress.”

“Oh, I’m sure I’ll love it,” Lin grinned, looking up at you. “What else did you and mommy get today?”

You son took a drink of his water before answering; “I got a new shirt, because my favourite one got too small for my body,” he explained quickly, “And new pants, because mine are too short for my legs now,” he sighed, “And we got you a surprise,” he giggled, looking up at you, to make sure he was allowed to tell his dad about his gift.

You raised your eyebrows and your little boy continued talking, “It’s a surprise though, we can’t tell you yet,” he sighed, looking back down at his food.

You chuckled and shook your head, “He picked them all out,” you said, grinning, “We’ll show you at home.”

Lin chuckled before replying; “I can hardly wait,” he beamed, leaning over so he could place a soft kiss onto your cheek.

That evening, you, your son, and your husband were all in your bedroom; your little guy desperately wanted to give Lin his gift, especially since he had chosen everything himself. With his little hands clasped in anticipation, your son watched as Lin pulled out the plaid shirt.

“Oh my- I have never loved anything more,” your husband grinned, before shaking head and looking down to your son, “Except for you two, of course,” he corrected himself quickly, making you grin.

“You really like it?” Your little boy asked, his voice filled with nothing but hope.

Lin nodded his head, enthusiastically, “I love it,” he grinned, putting down the shirt to give his son a hug.

“I even paid for it myself,” your boy continued, proudly.

“What?!” Lin asked, excitedly, “I didn’t even know you had any income!” He exclaimed, looking down at his son in forged disbelief.

You chuckled, and nodded your head, “He did,” you grinned; of course you just handed him a twenty dollar bill, but that’s a big deal to a five year old. “He’s growing up, Lin,” you smiled, “Outgrowing his clothes, picking out his own outfits, paying for his own gifts… What’re we going to do?” You said, playfully, fiddling with the very ends of your sons hair.

Your little boy smiled up at you, proudly, “I hope you’ll keep me around,” he grinned hopefully, earning himself a laugh from his father.

Lifting his son onto his lap, Lin was beaming, “Yes,” he giggled, “I think we will keep you around.”

Note: It was supposed to be of drabble length and then it escalated… It’s my first time writing such a length so please bear with me ><

“Then the screams came and there was nothing, nothing you could do to stop it. Nothing you can do to make him return to being yours. The window to your room was disappearing from your life. He was disappearing from your life-

and he was never coming back.”

Walking hand in hand, arms swaying side to side, you felt safe being beside him. He would occasionally stop, turn to look at you and give you that big cheesy smile of his as if he was saying you’re mine.

He meant the world to you and you didn’t believe you could ever love someone as much as you loved him. He was special, you just knew it. All the pillow fights, tickling turned makeout sessions, trips, picnics, and all the things you’ve done together; they just felt right. You felt loved. felt loved.

You didn’t understand. You thought that everything, everything was perfect between the two of you. The both of you were doing so well. You loved him so so so much that it hurt when you saw him that day. His hand which was meant to be around yours, engulfed in yours, was holding someone else’s. Someone else was seeing that big cheesy grin on his face. That someone wasn’t you.

What did you do wrong? Did you not love him enough? Were you not enough? These thoughts, emotions, tears, and screams. You were sick of them. You were sick of him. Sick of returning home to your empty bed, yearning for his touch, embrace, and his love. He would wrap his arms around your waist, your back hitting his chest as you watched and cried over your favorite korean dramas together. He would pop out of nowhere and backhug you while you were cooking dinner, hugging you tightly and kissing the side of your neck like it was the sweetest candy he’s ever tasted.

He would..but he wouldn’t anymore…

Every morning, afternoon, and night your thoughts were always filled with nothing but him. How do you escape this? You can’t just throw away what we had experienced together. You can’t expect me to be fine after the amount of times he told me loved me, kissed me, and hugged me.

You poured out your everything to him and now he’s gone. Your firsts, you shared it all with him. He was your one and only source of happiness in this shit hole you call a life. He was the only window in this room of darkness. The only one who gave you meaning to live.

This was unhealthy, you knew, but who gives a shit? In the end only I did. Did he? If he did, would he have just left like that?

He called me one day,

“Y/N, we need to talk.”

“Hmm? What’s wrong?”

“Let’s not see each other anymore”

“W-what do you mean?”

and that’s when you heard the giggling.

Taehyung~ come back, let’s finish what we were doing before

Taehyung?? Who’s that?

No one, look I gotta go, thanks for everything

he hung up.

Tears streaming down your face, you stared at your phone in disbelief.

Tae: I’m sorry

I’m sorry? for what? breaking up with me? ending us? You had collapsed onto the floor gripping and smacking your phone against your chest. You were afraid to reply. You were afraid that all he would do was apologize to you. You were afraid to accept that he had truly ended the only thing that made you get up in the morning. The only thing that made you feel alive.

this isn’t true

this isn’t true

he’s lying

right?

You spent hours checking to see if he had texted you again but it was the last text you got from him. Every passing minute, every passing second from that point on, you continued to cry harder and harder as you slowly descended into a pit of darkness. Then the screams came and there was nothing, nothing you could do to stop it. Nothing you can do to make him return to being yours. The window to your room was disappearing from your life. He was disappearing from your life.

and he was never coming back.

A/N: Hey I felt really bad about not posting for a week, so I’m editing a second imagine for today rn! I know this wasn’t exactly a request, but I took it as one because I’ve wanted to right something like this for a while. I hope you have an amazing day or night!! I LOVE YOU CUTIES!!

Request: Hi! So I really love your work– it’s amazing, really! But I was wondering: in the Lafayette fox “A Year of Memories” I believe, there’s a scene of angst where Lafayette thinks you kissed Jefferson?? I tried looking for it but didn’t find it. I’m sorry if I’m being a bother but could you link it if it’s already written, and just floating around? If it’s not already written, and just a wip, I understand. I hope you have a good night/day! -Anon

“This is gonna be so fun!” You exclaimed, dragging Laf up the steep hill.

“I know, that’s the tenth time you’ve said that.” Laf chuckled, making you scoff.

“You’re exaggerating. I said it seven times at most! Besides, can you blame me? It’s finally spring! We can finally have a nice picnic and just enjoy the sun.” You grinned, causing one to form on Lafayette’s face as well.

“Eh, I don’t really enjoy spring that much.” Laf said sarcastically, causing you to roll your eyes.

“You’re lying!” You huffed, slightly out of breath from finally having climbed the tall hill.

“No it’s true! Compared to you, spring is nothing, mon cher.” Laf smirked, putting an arm around your shoulder and pressing a kiss to your temple.

“That wasn’t even smooth. I’m very disappointed in your attempts at flirting.” You said, pushing yourself out of his loose grip.

“Wow, maybe I won’t go back down to the car and get us the drinks out of the car now.” Lafayette shook his head, laying out the picnic blanket he had been carrying.

“No! It was smooth, I promise. I’m practically swooning!” You protested, placing a kiss to his cheek.

“Fine, I’ll go get the drinks. Don’t start eating without me!” Laf exclaimed, wiggling his finger in your face before he began to walk down the hill.

“No promises!” You called after him, hearing him chuckle as he made his way back to the car.

You couldn’t stop the wide grin on your face. You didn’t understand how he could have such a power over you. Then again, you sometimes forgot how you had him completely wrapped around your finger.

You began to take things out of the picnic basket and place them on the blanket. You didn’t hear someone come up from behind you. When they placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, you couldn’t stop the horrified screech that left your mouth.

“Wow! It’s just me!” Thomas said in between bursts of laughter.

“Sorry, I just wasn’t expecting you to get back here so fast.” You shrugged, not looking back at him as you continued to unpack the basket.

From behind you, Thomas furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. He then remembered the small bun that his hair was pulled up in. His eyes lit up with an idea and a smirk made it’s way on his face.

“I am very fast, mon amour.” Thomas said, the french accent almost a little too thick.

“No need to brag, babe.” You laughed, still not looking up from your task.

“Kiss me?” Thomas asked you, the smirk still on his face.

“You know you don’t have to ask, Laf.” You smiled, letting Thomas pull you in for a kiss.

The kiss was more rough than you were used to. Lafayette would only kiss you like this if you were alone at home. Never in public had he shoved his tongue harshly against your own. Starting to feel slightly uncomfortable, you pushed back against his chest to escape the kiss.

“WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE?” Laf screamed, pulling Thomas roughly off of you.

“Laf?” You asked in confusion before looking between the two of them. Dear god, you had just made a horrible mistake.

“Thomas, why are you kissing (Y/N)?” Laf growled, staring down Thomas with more hatred than you could ever imagine Laf having.

“Uh…well…” Thomas stuttered looking for a way to get out of the mess he had created.

“I could kill you right here and no one would know.” Laf threatened, his voice getting lower and quieter.

“Well, Laf I wasn’t the only one doing the kissing. You did see (Y/N) kissing me back right?” Thomas chuckled nervously, trying to direct the attention away from him.

Lafayette’s expression faltered for a second. No longer did he seem scary and intimidating, but a man who was lost and heartbroken. After staring at you for a few seconds, Laf turned back to Thomas and gave him a hard right hook.

“Oh my god!” You shouted, having heard the crack come from Thomas’s nose.

Laf turned to look at you before shaking his head and storming off. You chased after him, calling his name but he didn’t even flinch. He was acting as if you weren’t even there. Luckily, he waited for you to get in the car before flooring it back to your apartment.

+++

“You kissed him…” Laf trailed off, tears streaming down his face.

“It’s not like that Laf, listen to me!” You cried, trying to get him to pay attention to what you were saying.

“What do you mean it’s not like that? That’s what happened, you kissed him. Am I not enough, (Y/N)?” Laf choked, a sob fighting it’s way to come out of his throat.

“Laf, Thomas had his hair pulled up in a bun. I was too focused on making sure the food hadn’t spoiled to actually look at him. I thought he was you!” You exclaimed, trying to make him understand what happened.

“You don’t need to lie to me, (Y/N). Thomas is a good man, I’m sure he could make you happy.” Laf sighed, turning to walk away from you.

“Laf, you’re not hearing what I am saying! I would never just kiss Thomas, he looked and was acting like you! I didn’t know!” You yelled after Laf as he walked away.

“It’s okay, I’m not mad…I just wish it hadn’t ended this way.” Laf said softly, not looking back at you once.

“Lafayette.” You whispered, crying as he slammed the door of the apartment.

You wrapped your hands around yourself, stumbling over to the couch where you began to sob uncontrollably. You had no one to blame for this, but yourself. If you had just been more careful than you wouldn’t have made the man you love walk out the door.

+++

Laf tried to silence the sobs crawling up his throat as he left the apartment building and began to walk towards Alex’s apartment. He had trusted you and you had betrayed him. He could physically feel his heart breaking down into small pieces. Each of those shards stabbing his chest repeatedly.

Two images in Lafayette’s mind appeared again and again on his walk. The first, was you kissing Thomas Jefferson passionately, as you would usually kiss him. The second, was your heartbroken face as he left the apartment. Both of them caused him an immense amount of heartbreak. He didn’t know who he was hurting more by leaving. Himself? Or you?

He finally reached Alex’s apartment that he shared with John and Hercules. He knocked, tears still running down his face as he impatiently waited.

“Lafayette?” Alex asked, his tired eyes looking worriedly over Laf’s red and blotchy face.

“Hey dude, I need your help.” Laf said, pushing past Alex and into the apartment.

“Why are you here at midnight?” Alex asked, following Laf into the living room where John was sitting.

“(Y/N) kissed Thomas.” Laf stated, both boys snapping their heads to look at Lafayette in shock.

“Oh Laf, dude I’m so sorry!” John exclaimed, standing up to wrap Laf in a comforting hug.

“Why would they do this?” Laf’s voice cracked, not fighting the sob that was crawling it’s way up his throat. “I love them and if Thomas makes them happy than I can support that, but why did they have to hurt me like this?”

“Did you ask (Y/N) why they kissed him before you left?” Alex asked, pushing Laf to sit down on the couch next to him.

“They said it was a mistake and they thought it was me! How could you confuse me and Thomas!” Laf flung up his hands in the air in frustration.

“Well…I sometimes get confused when you let your hair down or he pulls it up…” John said cautiously, hoping not to upset his friend more.

“Jefferson did have his hair up, but they should still know the difference! They have been dating me for months now!” Laf sniffed, taking a tissue from the box sitting on the coffee table.

“What exactly happened?” Alex questioned, wanting to know the full story and not just bits and pieces.

“Okay, so I took (Y/N) out to go have a fun little picnic for dinner. I left them at the top of the hill to take the food out while I went to get our drinks from the car. When I came back (Y/N) was kissing Thomas Jefferson! I ripped them apart, punched Thomas in the face and then stormed to the car with (Y/N) following right behind me.” Lafayette told a shortened version of the story.

“This could seriously be a huge misunderstanding. Why don’t you go back home right now and talk to (Y/N). Figure this out together and listen to what they have to say.” John suggested, Alex nodding in agreement.

“You want me to just be okay with (Y/N) kissing another man? You want me to be okay with them cheating on me?” Laf asked in disbelief.

“That’s not what we’re saying! It’s never okay for someone to cheat on you, but (Y/N) is not the type of person to cheat. It’s obvious that they love you more than anything, everything they do shows that. They get pretty focused on the simplest tasks, they probably weren’t paying attention. Just, hear their side of the story before jumping to conclusions. And I mean actually listen, not be blinded by your anger to hear the truth.” Alex gave Laf an encouraging smile.

“You may be right.” Lafayette sighed, feeling slightly stupid for jumping to conclusions without listening to you. “I’m sure that (Y/N) is asleep right now. I will go home in the morning and talk to them about it.”

“Okay dude, you are totally welcome to sleep on the couch.” John offered, standing up from where he sat and stretching.

“Thanks man.” Laf nodded in appreciation. “Where’s Herc?”

“Oh, he left a little bit before you came. He said it was an emergency.” Alex shrugged, slightly defeated from not getting more details before the man had left.

The front door to the apartment opening silenced the three men’s conversation. They could hear quiet sobbing coming from the entry way. The three exchanged worried looks before rushing to where they thought they’d find a crying Hercules. Instead they were met with Hercules holding you tightly as you cried.

“(Y/N)?” Laf asked in shock at the state you were in.

You were in your sweats instead of the nice outfit you had worn for the picnic. Your hair was a complete rat’s nest. Your eyes were red and puffy. Your cheeks were tear stained and had pieces of your hair sticking to it. You were a complete mess and it broke Lafayette’s heart even more than when he had seen you kissing Thomas. The worst part was that he knew he was the reason that you were feeling like this. He was the reason you had completely broken down.

“I’m so sorry Laf! I thought it was you, I swear! I would never purposely hurt you like that. I love you. I love you more than anything!” You cried out between hiccups, Herc rubbing your back in soothing circles.

“Oh (Y/N)!” Laf swooped you up in his arms, trying to dry the never ending pool of tears leaving your eyes. “I should have listened to your side of the story. I didn’t mean to hurt you either! I love you too, mon amour. Please stop crying!”

“I’m sorry.” You whispered, putting your arms around his waist and digging your face into his neck.

“I forgive you.” Laf whispered back to you, pulling your shaking body closer to his.

Laf kissed the top of your head as you tried to calm your crying. Lafayette silently scolded himself for not listening to what you had to say. He never wanted to cause you this much pain for something that was an honest mistake. Now Thomas on the other hand…well the next day he would be getting a lot of bad karma for taking advantage of you. Laf and the boys would make sure of that.

“Can we go home?” You asked, finally had regained your composure.

“Of course.” Laf smiled, grabbing your hand in his and letting you lead him out of the apartment and back down the street towards your own.

Even if you had an argument that night, Laf was just glad to be going home with the one he loved knowing they felt the same for him. He was glad to be going home with you.

Game night with your boyfriends had always been what you would call… exuberant. As much as you loved them all, and they all loved you, it was undeniable, that when it came to video games, you and Alexander were a force to be reckoned with you were passive aggressive, Alex would troll, you would know all the cheats and shortcuts and Alex just got angry whether he was winning or not. The number of games your other boyfriends, Hercules, John and Lafayette you banned you from from playing was reaching ridiculous. Overwatch, Dead by Daylight, WoW, Mario Party, Guild Wars 1 & 2 all variations of Diablo and DOTA and League and so on, and so on. And now, it was yours and Alex’s turn to choose the game, much to the dislike of the others. You just hoped that this game would be fun for you all, and would actually work.

Shockingly, Mario Kart didn’t work. In fact, you were sure this was the worst idea Alexander had ever had. And things were just getting better.

“Stop knocking me off, you fuck!” You yelled as Alexander, yet again, knocked you off of the track, causing you to respawn behind the others. He simply giggled as you narrowed your eyes at him and, before you could react, grabbing a pillow and whacking it into your face, making you drop your controller and fall backwards into John.

“Y/N! Come on!” He yelled pushing you off him, as you picked up your controller. You gave him a glare, not pleased that you were the one being yelled at.
“He’s the asshole here!” You exclaimed, giving Alex an almighty shove. He scowled and shoved back, and in seconds you two were slap fighting each other like children, much to your other boyfriends disapproval. The fight carried on another good 40 seconds until Lafayette snapped.

“Alright, out! Both of you!” He yelled as he stood up, a scowl on his face, picking up your pillows and blankets and throwing them out the door. You looked at him like a kicked puppy, and Alex was much the same.
“What are you doing?” You asked as the controller was ripped from your hands. Lafayette didn’t answer, taking Alexanders controller as well and shooing you out of the room.
“It’s my turn to play and your turn to cool off. Out there, all night.” He said, curling up to Hercules and taking over Bowser for you. You and Alex stood in the doorway, looking at each other in shock.

“I bet you at Mario Kart and now you’re banishing me to the couch?” He asked, indignance in his tone. You side eyed him, and sighed as Hercules spoke up. That was what he was thinking about right now? Winning?

“No. We’re banishing you both to the couch for the night because you need to calm down and stop acting so damn competitive.” He looked reluctant about the choice, but stood by Lafayette’s decision. You and Alex turned to John, staring at him pleadingly, but he simply shook his head.
“They’re right you guys,” He sighed, standing up he walked to the door and placed a hand on the handle. “I’ll see you in the morning.” He gave you two a small smile and closed the door, leaving you an Alex staring at the shut door, dumbfounded. You bit your lip, maybe you two had gone too far this time.

“Fine! Have fun in there! Because we’ll be having fun in here!” Shouted Alex, who turned to you and took your hand, staring into your eyes, obviously looking hurt. You sighed and leaned up, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“Let’s go cuddle on the couch.” You said gently, leading him through the living-room with your duvets and pillows in hand, you sat him down, curing into his side and wrapping the blankets around you. As Alex rested his head on yours, your mind went back to Lafayette’s face and how angry he seemed. And how disappointing Herc and John looked. You swallowed, your throat and lips felt dry and your eyes stung.

“… You don’t think they’re sick of us, do you?” Your voice was quiet and shaky, so different to his you had been before. You felt a hand cup your face and looked up at Alex.
“No, they love us.” He said, his sentence wavered in the middle, despite how firm he tried to sound. You felt your stomach flip, thinking about it.

You were the last to join the boys, back when you were all friends. First it was Alexander and John dating, then Herc and then Laf. The relationship didn’t open up to you until a few months after. It was hard at first, for the boys to adjust. But they were the ones that asked you to join, so you had always assumed that they did indeed love you. Of course it was entirely possible that they found you not to be the person they thought during the relationship, and no longer wanted anything to do with you.

You shifted a bit, uncomfortable. The thought sliced your heart in half. You loved them all so, so dearly. And while it’s true that some people change when they’re in relationships, it was for the better, right? You had opened up more to them, so why did they seem to be pushing away?

“They love you.” You mumbled, the words feeling empty and heavy at the same time, a meaningless weight, just like you were to your boyfriends. You lowered your gaze, feeling tears begin to run down your cheeks. You felt Alexanders arms slide around your waist, pulling you as close to him as possible.
“They love you just as much as I do.” He said firmly as you looked up. You tried to find solace in his declaration, so gentle and sure, but it was difficult. You breathed in, hiccuping a bit, tears flowing freely down your face.

“And how much do you love me then?” You choked out as he pressed a kiss to your temple, brushing some of your hair aside.
“So much it hurts. I love you more than you could even imagine, to the ends of the universe and even farther than that.” He murmured, putting his eloquence with words to use as he rocked you back and forth gently as you clung to him like a shipwrecked man would to a piece of flotsam. His soft words sounded so sincere, and you found yourself unable to believe such affection could or should be shown to you.

“But I a-annoy you all. I’m too loud, I-I-” He pressed a kiss to your lips, grinning a bit.
“I could say the same thing about myself. I can’t speak for the others, and even if I could I wouldn’t want to, but I know my feelings. I know that I’ve loved you for a very long time, that you were painfully oblivious to my attempts to woo you at first.” You let out a watery laugh at the last bit, Alex smiling at the joy on your face.

“I love you, and I’ll stay by your side for as long as you’ll let me.” You gave him a look, smile dropping a bit.
“Alexander, the others-” He shook his head and cut you off.
“No. I love you, and whatever happens I’ll never let you be alone. You’re too alike to me. I need someone who understands me, someone who can match my fire. I love John and Herc and Laf and they all love us both dearly. Even if sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. You just need to trust me, ok?” You sighed and leaned into him, resting your face in the crook of his neck.
“Ok.” You promised as a door opened, light seeping into the room. You hid your face further into Alexander, not wanting anyone else to see you in such a state. The soft footsteps made their way towards you two, stopping by the armrest of the couch.

“Hey, uh… Are you guys ok? We were packing up the snes when we… heard…” John trailed off as you turned you tear stained face towards him. His eyes widened and his mouth dropped open a bit, guilt painted across his features. Alex reached out and took his hand, as Herc and Laf came through. He turned his head towards the two and beckoned them over, pulling you tighter and safer in his arms.
“Guys…” He began, looking to you. You gave him a confirming nod, not making eye contact with the others.
“We… really need to talk.”
