or just don't use pronouns at all

Anyways misgendering someone because you dislike them / purposely using the wrong pronouns to make them mad and then spouting bullshit about “free speech” doesn’t make you cool or edgy it makes you a genuinely terrible person have fun with that lmao

Keith shoved a corrective elbow into Lance’s side. “You’re doing it again.”

“Ow! Sonnofa- hey! No I’m not- uh. Doing what?”

“Staring at Pidge.” Keith crossed his arms. “Knock it off.”

“I’m not staring! I’m just…” Lance darted a quick look across the common room, where Pidge was thankfully out of earshot and engrossed in scrolling Galra code.

“Excessively looking?” Hunk tried helpfully.

“No! Yes. Maybe?” Lance tried to keep his voice below the distant clacking of Pidge’s keyboard. “I’m just trying to figure it out.”

Keith snorted. “What’s there to figure out? Literally nothing has changed.”

“Yes it has, Pidge-”

“Is exactly the same,” Keith emphasized.

“But-” losing track of his thoughts, Lance appealed to his left. “Hunk! Back me up! Completely out of left field, right?”

“Sorry man,” Hunk hunched his shoulders apologetically. “I figured it out a while ago.”

Lance’s jaw dropped. “And you didn’t say anything?”

He shrugged. “It seemed rude to bring it up.”

“How am I the last one to know about this!” Lance threw up his hands, discretion completely forgotten.

Lounged comfortably on the couch, Shiro’s mouth quirked. “Do you really want us to answer that?”

Hey everyone. So, I’m pretty sure you all know that I had a rough day yesterday. I asked if everyone would be okay if I switched pronouns based on how I felt at that time, so I decided to make this thing. The numbers represent how “female” I am, from 0 being not at all, to 5 being 100%. I also described each of them a bit so that you know what to expect when I’m “at different levels” or something. If you don’t care, please default to they/them, and if you aren’t sure what I am at any time, gender-neutral is fine. For those of you who do care, I’ll try to make an effort of putting the number in the tags so that people who care can see it, and people who don’t care aren’t bothered.

Is this okay? Does it make sense? Sorry if this is annoying.

Hey sorry if its a weird question, but I was curious about your pronouns? I might be overthinking it, but I didn't want to get it wrong

I’m pretty fluid, so I use any pronouns interchangeably. It doesn’t bother me at all, so basically just go with whatever you’re most comfortable with. :)

Reiji said "kanojou" in reference to Reira though, something that is used only for females in japan regardless of pronouns. Some people think Reira copied Ray because in all episodes up to 140 the name is spelled "Reira" 零羅 but since episode 141 it has been spelled "Rayra" レイラ in the spoilers magazine at least. So, the current Reira is female. If Reira was always female or not it is not confirmed yet

Yeah… I know that, I also knew about the spelling.

I didn’t say that the theory held no water whatsoever, I just said it holds a little less water than what some people think because some language customs in Japan, it’s a plausible theory one that again as I said before I find interesting, but we have yet to see if it will amount to anything in the series or not.

And as usual I rather not getting to hung up on theories ^^

I feel like messing up a friend’s pronouns is like calling a teacher “mom”

You both know that you messed up but its way more awkward if you don’t correct yourself and acknowledge that you messed up. That being said, over apologizing just makes the whole deal uncomfortable.

Because we’re all going to mess up pronouns or names, whether or not they’re the pronouns and names of trans individuals, and it’s just better for everyone if you admit to the mistake, correct yourself, and move on.

But please. Don’t try to ignore it. You can be positive the trans person heard your mistake and will feel worse if you ignore it.

A confession

I’ve been keeping this bottled up for too long. I need to say this somewhere. All my otherkin disdain has just been me projecting. I’m actually a Republikin. I have phantom  limbs firearms that I can feel all the time. Sometimes I find myself fumbling around at my hip only to remember there’s nothing actually there. I would really appreciate it if you would use the pronouns Reagan, Reagans, Reaganself when referring to me now. If only we lived in a truly free world market where my kind would be accepted. All I want is to own a bald eagle named Freedom, have a deregulated small business, and live near a small body of water into which I can dump all the tea I can get my hands on. I hope you’ll accept me for who I really am.

(trying to keep this out of the tags and use preferred pronouns cuz i just don’t want to deal with derailing.)

So, so far, these are all the posts i’ve seen of Call Me C_ait scenes

  • J*enner talking about how hot she looks
  • J*enner talking about checking herself out in the mirror (calling herself a hot bitch)
  • J*enner calling herself mother(?)
  • J*enner wanting to invite Kris to dinner and make sure they’re both wearing the same dress so she’ll have a “who wore it better” situation
  • many notes on the posts supporting and cheering all this

You guys… this behavior is all pure fetish and i’m really disturbed

I would like to say something about

I’ve read a few stories here on tumblr about people getting yelled at for accidentally referring to someone by the wrong pronoun. (I would have loved to link some of them but I can’t remember who wrote them or anything)

Now I understand getting misgendered is really not fun at all. I will never be able to understand completely, because I use she/her and I am what you probably would refer to as ‘cis’. But I’ve heard enough from the friends that I have that getting misgendered is pretty horrible.

But think about this:

If you saw someone on the streets wearing makeup, has hair to their waist and is wearing a dress, you would think ‘oh hey, it’s a girl’. Right? Or most of you would.

If people misgender others, it’s probably because they had no idea that the person with the long hair and dress went by they/them.

If someone says hi to you for the first time and use the wrong pronouns, simply tell them that ‘hey, you probably didn’t know but I don’t use those pronouns’ and they will most likely apologize and not do it again.

Do not scream at them or curse them out, because they most likely didn’t know which pronouns to use because people don’t exactly have them stapled on their foreheads.

The reason why people don’t take transfolk seriously is not because some people use nounself pronouns.

The reason why people don’t take transfolk seriously is because they’re fucking transphobic.

Like you really don’t get it, do you? All of the binary transfolk who think nonbinary people don’t exist are saying the EXACT SAME SHIT about you that you say about otherkin.

Why is this so hard to understand? Every time you throw otherkin under the bus, you open the door for someone “more trans than you” to exclude you from trans communities. What’s more important: ragging on someone’s identity because you think they make you look bad to transphobic cis people, or preserving EVERYONE’S right to identify as they wish?

Don’t let cis people turn you against other transfolk. News flash: despite what cisfolk think, the trans community isn’t hive-minded. You don’t have to perfectly understand one another, but you should respect one another. Transfolk, of all people, should be able to grasp this fucking concept.
