the idea of consuming two conflicting things that promise to do the opposite of each other has always been hilarious to me. there’s a liquid shot-based sleep aid called 6 hour sleep and as soon as I saw it i immediately imagined mixing it and a 5 hour energy together for a 1 hour nap

It starts with his shoulders, he can’t help but eye the way they sit a little broader when Remus stands up straight
Then it’s his forearms, Sirius can see the tendons stand out a little when Remus lies on the sofa and holds his book above his head.
After the next full moon, it’s his biceps - they start pushing against his shirt when he leans over his potions essay, and Sirius’s mouth all but drops to the floor
Suddenly it’s hard to be around Remus, literally, without feeling a tightness growing in his trousers
The boys sit opposite each other in the library for hours, an endless pile of homework and exam prep leaving them caught in a dizzying cycle of work, eat, sleep
They all need some relief, but fuck Sirius needs a very specific kind of relief
Exams are so close, and he has to focus, but just a look at Remus could flick a switch in his body
Even his hands, somehow his hands look bigger, stronger
Sirius starts biting down hard on his lip each time his eyes drift to his boyfriend in class, or the library, or the common room (okay, just about everywhere)
But after half a day his bottom lip becomes red and puffy
Instead Sirius finds himself disappearing to the toilets to splash cold water on his face more often than he’d like to admit
When Remus’s arm winds protectively around him as they walk down a busy corridor, he has to bite back a whine
And when Remus strolls out of the shower one morning, a towel slung low around his hips, Sirius just sits and stares
Because his chest, Christ his chest has transformed
And it was all Sirius could do not to go over there and beg Remus to deal with his painfully hard arousal, right there in front of James and Peter
And when Remus caught him, eyes roving greedily across his bare skin and freshly tousled hair, he just stared right back and winked
Sirius rolled over in bed and bit down so hard on his pillow he could have torn it apart
This day was particularly torturous, and it didn’t help that the summer heat had Remus loosening the top few buttons of his shirt
Or that, in transfiguration, his hand had been resting high on Sirius’s thigh the whole time Frank was explaining petrification.

He didn’t notice Remus until his fingers were locked around his wrists, and his whole body tugged sideways
Sirius’s soft moan of surprise was muffled by Remus’s lips, which collided with his before he could even gather his surroundings
Remus’s hand travelled to Sirius’s neck, his thumb pressing gently into the soft skin, while his other grasped at his hips
Sirius thought his legs would give way at any moment
Just as abruptly as it began, Remus drew away, focusing his burning eyes on Sirius
“You keep disappearing.” He murmured “And you won’t look at me.”
He pressed a thumb to Sirius’s puffy bottom lip “You’re not telling me something Sirius.”
Again, Remus’s hand slid back to Sirius’s neck, a gentle pressure aiding the fuzzy euphoria Sirius felt at his touch
“Tell me.” He growled.
When his face blurred back into view, an almost delirious Sirius saw Remus’s expression harden
“I can take it.” He said, lowly
Sirius frowned, still breathless, resisting the urge to buck his hips into Remus’s warm, gorgeous body
“It’s you.” He murmured, looking down
Suddenly, inexplicably, he felt ashamed
“You’ve changed and I can’t - I can’t cope. It’s not that I didn’t like you before, I love you whatever you - what ever you look like - and you were always gorgeous, but now you’re just, you’re just kind of perfect and it’s just” Remus’s proximity making Sirius almost incoherent.
“…it’s just your shoulders got bigger, and your arms, and I can’t stop, I can’t focus and I know you just want to work and there’s no time for it so I was trying not to bother you but fuck Remus.”
“What?” Remus’s hand tilted Sirius’s chin up, forcing him to meet his confused gaze.
Sirius shuttered under his boyfriend’s newly bulky frame
“You’re not…” Remus frowned. “I thought you liked someone else.”
Sirius nearly choked. “What?” He spluttered.
“Remus” He snapped, taking control and pushing himself closer to the boy. “I can’t focus on anything but you. I can’t study, I can’t sleep, I can’t look at you in class without…” Sirius groaned and pushed his hips against Remus, using his hard arousal to illustrate his point.
Sirius pressed frantic kisses into to the soft skin on Remus’s neck. “And when you came out of the shower today…”
Sirius’s sentence ended in a gasp as his back hit a smooth, cool wall. Remus’s warm mouth was at his neck, his hands pressing down his sides, their bodies flush against each other
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Remus growled. “Why didn’t you let me help you?”
Sirius only moaned in response as Remus’s thigh found its way between his legs, pressing teasingly against him
“Sirius.” Remus growled again. “Why?”
“You were…busy.” Sirius groaned, feeling Remus grip his chin.
“Look at me.” Remus ordered, his eyes burning. “I am never too busy for you, Sirius Black.”
Sirius looked at his boyfriend, panting. His hips bucked into Remus, and he tried to connect their lips again, but he felt a strong hand push him back, denying him.
“Now, say it back to me.” Ordered Remus. “I’m never too busy to fuck you, say it back.”
Sirius shuttered, Remus telling him what to do was just, fuck.
“You’re never too busy to fuck me.” Sirius’s need was turning his voice into a desperate whine, but Remus didn’t move.
His eyes burned into Sirius’s, and his voice was low and threatening. “Next time you need me, you’re going to tell me, okay? You’re going to say: ‘Remus, I need you to fuck me now.’ And I’m then going to fuck you, okay?”
Sirius’s eyes almost rolled upwards, his whole body was trembling.
“Remus,” Sirius managed to whisper, somewhat calmly. “I need you to fuck me now.”
Sirius shuttered as he felt Remus grip the back of his thighs, easily lifting Sirius up and pressing him against the wall, his legs now hooked around his waist.
Literally can’t stop coming back to this scene. They’re literally just standing opposite of each other, but it’s so completely obvious they’re trapped in the other’s body. From the fluid and graceful way Valentine moves his arms, to Magnus standing stalk still, hunched over and stiff, they both capture the essence of the other. so. fucking. well.
Alan and Harry killed the shit out of this episode and scene.
Okay but since Keith isn’t an Aries I personally want Lance to be a Leo which is a fire sign while I need Keith to be a Scorpio which is a water sign…they’ll be each other’s elements…opposites attract…they balance each other…

Wow, I don’t really know where to begin with a meta showing the differences between Jackie/Kelso and Jackie/Hyde just because they’re such different relationships and I haven’t really seen anyone argue over who should be with who, like Jackie/Hyde is so universal to me (within the fandom) that I’ve never considered writing a meta about the two ships.
I was never really a fan of Jackie and Kelso even before Jackie and Hyde were a thing, it’s not like I shipped Jackie or Kelso with anyone else but I didn’t pay that much attention to their relationship. That 70s Show came out when I was, like, 8 so as a kid I saw them more as comedic relief in the form of a duo than as an actual ship if that makes sense. Then when I got older and rewatched it I realized how fundamentally toxic Kelso and Jackie were and how even from the beginning when Hyde didn’t like Jackie, he still respected her and thought she deserved better, that’s the major difference.
I mean yes, superficially, the difference that sticks out the most is that Kelso and Jackie were very much alike:
whereas Hyde and Jackie were fundamentally different
And these very obvious contrasts of course mean very obvious differences in dynamic. But the most important difference is, as I said, the respect.
Jackie and Kelso’s relationship is portrayed comically but it was a terrible one. That isn’t to say there weren’t cute moments:
or moments that showed how much Kelso knew Jackie:
But throughout their relationship, Kelso was either cheating on Jackie:
Or he pressures her about sex:
Or he continuously tells the group how he’s going to break up with her but refrains from doing so either because she can be useful to the group:
Or because they were physically intimate.
And Michael admits that Jackie makes him feel bad about himself:
which is meant to explain why he repeatedly cheated and lied to her, which of course is an utterly immature response.
On the other hand,
Jackie and Hyde, even though their dynamic is at first genuinely
confrontational, Hyde expects her to realize she deserves more than what she puts up with from Kelso:
and is visibly irritated by the way Kelso flaunts his relationship with Laurie:
and is protective of Jackie’s vulnerability and state of being:
which is why he goes to jail for her (I mean, it’s also a part of his self-fulfilling prophecy but that’s another post):
(while incidentally, Kelso pushes Jackie to the side and yells, “Out of my way” in “Halloween”)
and its also why he punches Chip when he explains that he’s going to use Jackie for sex and calls her a bitch
This respect feeds into their actual relationship because while Kelso was emotionally manipulative and while he consistently lied to Jackie, there was always transparency between her and Hyde. For instance, when Jackie finally chooses Hyde in 6x01, he kisses her, yes, but he doesn’t lie to her about going on a date with another woman, which Kelso would’ve done in their relationship. The transparency was there even when it was something neither of them wanted to admit to, which was usually how much they actually cared about each other, and that was more about self-deception, which they get over once they talk to each other about whatever they’re self-deceiving about:
and the last gif actually segues into the other difference between Jackie and Hyde and Kelso and Jackie — the level of maturity, which is related to one of the first points I made about how the obvious difference is that one dynamic is an opposites attract dynamic and the other isn’t.
Jackie and Michael may understand how the other thinks
but bonding over the arguably vapid aspects of their personalities doesn’t encourage growth in either of them, which actually consistently disappoints Jackie and which also consistently makes Kelso feel bad
which only further perpetuates their cycle.
By virtue of being polar opposites who care about each other and respect each other, Hyde and Jackie naturally push the other to grow. Jackie learns that being domineering and spoiled won’t get her way with Hyde:
while Hyde learns to be vulnerable and to go outside of his comfort zone:
and they both learn to compromise:
and their effect on each other is noticeable to everyone around them:
whereas everyone consistently told Jackie she could do better and told Kelso that she made him unhappy.
Something else I’ve also noticed while looking up gifs for this post is that while Hyde and Jackie will be physically intimate in background scenes just by being together and being close
I barely if ever remember seeing Kelso and Jackie be so casually intimate with each other, it was always a display of sloppy kissing.
All in all, Jackie and Hyde were a much more nuanced relationship and a much healthier relationship and a much more affectionate relationship imo,

Lighting in The Last Jedi trailer and that scene we are all talking about.
Like many of you that last bit of the trailer had me screaming at the tv. After the initial freak out phase had passed, I began to slowly shift into the what if phase, meaning– are they baiting me? Now there are several theories out there about who Kylo is holding his hand out too. Some say its Leia and not Rey. What if I told you the proof is in the shot itself?
I am about to give you a quick lesson in lighting, visual storytelling, and cinematography.
Let’s go back to The Force Awakens as a reference guide. The lighting on Starkiller base bridge you know that scene where he kills his dad?
Lighting was something they made sure to get right in this scene. Notice how Kylo’s face is half hidden in shadow and the other in light. Signifying his split.
JJ says this “ And you see the light go away. And now they’re in this darkness. And darkness takes over.”
The play with light was even more apparent when Kylo and Rey face off against the edge of the cliff.
Now I’m about to throw some cited literary sources about Film and Lighting just so it’s importance is established.
“In visual storytelling, few elements are as effective and as powerful as light and color. They have the ability to reach the viewers at a purely emotional gut level”(Brown, 2012, p. 8).
Light becomes mood that gives its tone to a film. It calls upon our memory to react to physical phenomena such as cold, rain, fog, sun, or dryness, and come up with psychological equivalents such as annoyance, sadness, mystery, fear, anguish, comfort, joy, gaiety, etc. As these effects produce immediate impressions in viewers, the cinematographer is able to obtain psychological reactions out of mere technical means (Geuens, 2000, p. 153).
Architecture and Film both use perceptual psychology to get people to see spaces in a certain way. Architecture lighting designers skillfully illuminate buildings and rooms with psychological intentions.
Lighting designers think about a psychological response and how behavior is affected by lighting. Some examples are:
1. Visibility of vertical and horizontal junctions aids orientation.
2. People follow the brightest path.
3. Brightness can focus attention.
4. Facing wall luminance is a preference.
5. Lighting can affect body position (Ginthner, accessed April, 2013 p.2).
Just as lighting designers light spaces to stimulate human mood and behavior, Cinematographers light the space inside a movie frame with the intent to persuade a viewer’s perception. The way objects are lit in the frame will focus the viewer’s attention, the amount of shadows cast will limit perception, and changing lights can indicate a change in a character or opportunity (Brown, 2012).
However, unlike film, architecture has had a psychological study on how different light in a physical space effect human arousal, concentration, memory, work productivity, and Mood.
If you take any type of filmmaking class, this is one of the first things you learn. Nothing is a mistake in these films everything is as designed to serve a purpose.
So let’s dive into the scene in question.
First of all, let us talk about how these two shots are framed. They are close up only showing the faces of our characters.
Close up shots typically contain just the face and shoulders of a subject, with a little headroom above. This prevents ‘floating head syndrome’ as the shoulders suggest to the brain that there is a body below! These shots are the most common of all as they can convey a real sense of emotion and help the audience to connect with the subject.
Second, let’s talk about the choice of lighting.
They are both in a warm fiery glow.
You can judge the quality of light in a film scene through the hardness or softness of its shadows. Hard quality light has dark shadows with sharp edges and often feels more raw than soft quality light. Soft lighting, often used in older films, has lighter, diffused shadows and tends to feel more sentimental.
And with advances in film technology, sharp shadows can also be quite romantic. Case in point, this still from the end of the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice:
Third, let’s talk color
Color temperature is one of the first things to note when studying the lighting in a romantic scene. Is it orange? Bluish? White? Most often, warm colors add to an inviting, romantic atmosphere. For example, the warm light in the sunset scene in Titanic draws the audience in, unlike the cold, blue lighting later in the movie, after things get dire.
Forth let’s talk context.
This is not the same scene with Kylo. Rey is still wearing her resistance clothing. This is the beginning of the film.
The context matters especially in this scene where Rey is talking about needing someone to show her where she belongs. Is this romantic? The answer is, no. Is it intimate? Yes. The scene can be set up this way without any romantic implications. But it is definitely meant to be intimate. Rey is vulnerable at this moment and is speaking from her heart to Luke. Please show me what to do with myself.
Now let’s move to Kylo’s scene which is no doubt at the end of the movie (because his scar is healed.)
Our big bad villain is bathed in nearly the exact same lighting and color as Rey’s shot, even the framing is the same. In no other shot ever has Kylo Ren been depicted in these colors. Not in the teaser and not in TFA. Kylo is always in red or dark. The context of this shot is very very important. He is reaching out palm up as to take someone’s hand. He does this slow and gentle. His face is soft with what I would say a plea.
Yes, this is a call back to Darth Vader asking Luke to join him on the Darkside in Empire Strikes Back. But if you go back and watch that scene it is intimately framed (remember context matters), but the colors are pale. Lukes’ face is in agony. Vader extends his hand it’s rigid and forced.
Before I get into more examples, I want to point out that yes trailers are meant to give you an idea, and intrigue you but they are also meant to misdirect.
Trailer Misdirects/Visual Storytelling and Dialogue
The misdirect of this scene is to make you believe Rey might join the dark side with Kylo or at least first glance. General Audience viewers casual fans who do not give it any second deep thought will accept this and move on. However, more dedicated fans will step in and try to dissect the scene by looking at the image and not the overall meaning behind everything we discussed above. The trailer isn’t designed to give anything away. Which leads me to say this is very smart editing on Rian’s behalf. While it doesn’t give us the answer of will, she or won’t she? It provides us with the question that we will inevitably discuss in length until the movie is released.
I would also like to point out there is a visual storytelling aspect of this trailer when it comes to the dialogue.
One example of this not related to the scene in question comes from Poe Dameron. He states “We have the spark that will ignite the fire to bring the First Order down.” The next scene we get is Finn. It is pretty clear that bit of dialogue was meant for Finn. He will no doubt help bring the FO down as other Stormtroopers defect as he did. Finn is that spark for the rebellion. Now let’s talk about the Rey/Kylo scene. The same thing happens here. Her dialogue coincides with the next shot of Kylo. Also, notice (scroll up if you need to) how their faces are opposite each other Rey is looking slightly to our left while Kylo is looking slightly to the right. Their positions are mirrored which is a recurring theme in the TFA (see the snow fight). This is beautiful visual storytelling. TFA was full of the same imagery lighting and storytelling. I have a post about it HERE
I went through and found scenes that mimic that of what we saw in the trailer, down to color, lighting, and frame. I also chose male and female characters. Guess what, all of them were romantic.
I chose this because of the flares in the background and the close-up framing of their faces. Notice yes the color is blue because they are parting (remember CONTEXT).
Next, we have a scene from Pride and Prejudice, but beyond the romance aspect, I want you to watch the light change of this scene. Elizabeth is bathed in blue until she accepts Darcy, taking his hand. The sunlight beams between them warming the scene. Skip to 3:10
Here is an oldie but a goody. I chose this due to the color. Now remember this film is old, lighting techniques have come a long way since the 1930s, but their choice of color is important, along with the shadows on their faces.
Ah, Jon and Dany. This is very romantic (even tho its incest lol) But take a look at the lighting between them also this part is (NSFW) if you are gonna watch till the end. You were warned.
And now for the grand finale TFA cliff scene. Oh, I chose this little diddy to drive home a point. Kylo and Reys’ faces are framed intimately (which signified they would have a more profound connection later and at that moment they were finding the Force together) But also notice their faces are bathed in mostly pale colors due to it being cold. Yes, the lightsabers flicker red and blue onto them. Yes, that holds meaning as well, the fight between the dark and the light. But the overall pallet is pale frigid colors. Also, the context -- there’s that word again– of this scene is they are enemies fighting. Kylo does want to teach her, but he’s aggressive and forceful, to say the least. It is a stark contrast to what we see in TLJ trailer. Where he is calm relaxed and in warm, inviting lighting. No aggressive posture, no forceful plea.
If you want to contrast another couple, please refer to Pride and Prejudice again. I can’t upload it here, but this is thelink. This is where Darcy says he loves Elizabeth, but she rejects him. They have close-ups, but the color and lighting are not intimate. Its pale lighter and blue. All things that are associated with sadness rejection etc. You get the point.
So in conclusion. It is my opinion based on all information gathered on cinematography, that yes the relationship between Kylo Ren or perhaps Ben Solo at this point has drastically changed. It is no longer one of animosity or hate. Judging by the warm colors, and the soft shadows and above all else the context of the gesture/posture/facial expression of Ben it is romantic or at the very least (for the skeptics) a special relationship– Remember Rey and Ben are similar in Force power according to Luke- this gives them a bridge to each other one that will take them to understanding and COMPASSION. I am not saying they kiss, I am not saying they are a couple at the end of this movie. I am saying that it’s possible that it will move in this direction. They no longer hate each other. How did we get to this point? Well, we have a whole Act 1 and 2 to get through for that answer.
I will stress that I believe that yes Ben/Kylo is holding his hand out to Rey. And no, it is not out of malice or deception. He is not asking her to join him on the Darkside… He is asking her to go with him and for acceptance.

Juhannus was originally a celebration for Ukko the supreme god of weather and harvest. It was also a time for making magic since the spirit world was more active at the time of the white nights. If you roll around naked in a field, your
future spouse will appear in your life within a year. Dew was believed
to have a healing effect and rolling in it was supposed to make you
beautiful and healthy. Earlier, dew was even collected in cloths and
pressed into bottles for the year to come.
2. Put a spell on a field
Find a four-leafed clover from the yard in the
evening. Hide the clover under your shirt, next to your bosom. When the
clock strikes midnight, let your hair loose and run to the field. Go
around the field three times. When the person of your fancy will eat
bread made out of the wheat from that specific field, they will fall in
love with you.
3. Collect seven flowers
Collect seven different types of flowers from as
many meadows. When going to bed, put the bouquet underneath your pillow.
You will see “the one” in your dream. Flowers and plants have an important role in
Midsummer celebrations. Previously, it was common to scatter tree leaves
on the floors and build tree houses in the yards. Even cows were
decorated with garlands, so as to secure a good year for the cattle and

the sauna, throw the whisk on the roof of the sauna. Climb up after it
and see whereto the stem of the whisk points. That is the direction from
which your future spouse will come.
6. Make a bonfire
The smoke of the bonfire will turn to the person who will find their spouse next. When the flames start to go out, jump over the bonfire to bring luck in love.
7. Look into a mirror
When you put two mirrors opposite each other on a midsummer night, you can see your future spouse in the reflection of the other.
8. Listen to the first sound
In the wee hours of the night, climb up somewhere
high – on a hill, on top of a fell or a big rock. To a place where it is
easy to hear surrounding sounds. Your future spouse will come from the
same direction as the first sound of the morning. If you hear music, it
means an approaching wedding. If you hear a child crying, it is a sign
of birth. The number of cuckoo sounds tells how many years you have to wait until you find love.

Something was wrong. Seriously wrong. Maybe it was the unusual silence of the school halls after class or the fact that Peter hadn’t come to find you but something was definitely up.
You frowned as you made your way to your locker, your boyfriend of a year nowhere to be seen. Opening it up, you loaded in your calculus textbook and a few other things before heading your academic decathlon club. You often found yourself looking forward to your team meets as you’d get to spend more time with your boyfriend, Peter and best friend, Flash.
You’d actually met Peter through Flash, when you’d first joined Midtown high. Flash had been your ‘tour’ guide as such, and he was extremely sweet towards you, he’d made you feel comfortable with the move to a new high school and even invited you to the team’s first meet of the year, although he was very flirtatious and you weren’t into that. Peter had joined the meet a little later than it had started because of his Stark internship and it was pretty much love at first sight from then on.
You’d grown to love his little stammer every time he talked to you, and that blush that spread from his cheeks to his neck every time you held his hand in public. You could even say you loved Peter Parker . That’s why you were so worried when he hadn’t come to meet you, the pair of you were inseparable so you knew something was wrong.
You were pulled out of your thoughts as your friend Michelle came running towards you, panic etched across her features. “Michelle?” You asked, turning from your locker to face her, concern stitched into your voice. She was hunched over, hands gripping her knees as she struggled to catch her breath.
“I-it’s Peter” she began, drawing herself upwards. “He’s gotten into another fight”
Your eyes widened as she spoken, you slammed your locker shut as the curly haired girl lead you towards the fight. Within a matter of minutes, you found yourself behind a large gathering of people, formed into a circle. People were cheering and filming the ordeal. Hurriedly, you pushed your way through the bands of people, trying to get a better look at the scene.
“Excuse me, sorry. Pardon me”
What you saw after weaving your way through the crowds made your heart drop. Your friend, Flash and your boyfriend Peter.
They were currently standing opposite each other, faces swollen and bruised. Flash had clearly gotten the brute end of it, and looked like he was on his last legs. Peter on the other hand looked significantly less injured and you knew in that moment he had been the one to start the fight. You knew Flash had picked on Peter, that’s what made it hard to maintain your friendship with him but you never thought Peter would lash out on him like this.
“Say that again, I dare you” you heard Peter spit, bouncing his fist up and down menacingly. Through the pain, you could see Flash draw his lips into a cruel smirk.
“She doesn’t want you, she never has. She’s only with you to get back at me”
That was all it took for Peter to launch himself at Flash, you covered your eyes and bit your now quivering lip, as you heard the pair’s grunts of pain. You knew know that this wasn’t some stupid spat between boys.
This was about you.
Opening your eyes, you rushed out into the circle, the cheers from the crowd only sky rocketing. At this point, both boys were at either side of the circle, you rushed between them in an attempt to stop the violence. “Stop it!” You yelled breathlessly, looking between them. “Just stop it! You’re hurting each other!”
Both boys fixed their posture before looking at you. You stared Peter down, meeting his gaze with a confused look, you could see the guilt swirling in his eyes. Your attention was stolen, when Flash begun to speak up. “Get outta the way (Y/N), I gotta let this punk have it”
“Don’t talk to her like that” Peter seethed back. You shook your head, begging yourself not to cry as the two boys you cared about glared and growled at each other. You could see that Peter was tired and could tell that he was feeling guilty.
“Leave it Flash” you called out as he tried to advance. You turned to your boyfriend and grabbed him then by the wrist trying to get him out of there. You pulled him into a guest toilet and locked the door behind you. You sat him down on the lid of the toilet, grabbing some tissue and running it under some cold water before pressing the compress to his bruised knuckles.
“What the fuck was that Peter?” You said, as you worked in silence. Peter could only watch as you moved about, making more compresses for his cuts before they bruised.
“I’m sorry” the brunette boy whispered, not meeting your eyes as you inspected his face. You paused, looking into his chocolatey orbs, anger swirling in them.
“You’re sorry?!” You yelled, your calm facade breaking down. This wasn’t the first time Peter had gotten into a fight over you, in fact, they’d been happening a lot more recently. You’ve never mentioned it to him before, at first you thought he was being over protective, but now you could tell it was much more serious. “Sorry doesn’t cut it Peter! Do you know how many times I’ve had to pull you out of these situations? Do you know how many times I’ve had to save your ass from being beaten into the ground? Do you know how much that scares me? I don’t know what’s going on with you Peter but you need to sort this out.”
Your boyfriend flinched at every word you spoke, as if he was being
sprayed by acid. He knew what you were saying was true, but he couldn’t help it.
“Peter, I love you!” You cried out, as he gazed at you intently. “But you can’t keep fighting people over me! Flash is one of my best friends, and to see you both almost kill each other out there breaks my heart! I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but if it keeps happening, I don’t know if I can stay”
This time, Peter’s head snapped up, looking you directly in the eyes. “W-what are you - are you saying?” he whispered, voice low and uneven. He was standing now, and you could see his body shaking.
“I’m saying that maybe…” you sighed, backing away from Peter. “We should…take a break?”
“No!“Peter practically screamed, his voice cracking as he did so.
In the dim light of the bathroom, you could see his eyes glaze over as his body begun to shake. “P-please”
“I meant it when I said I was sorry” he tried, his voice betraying him. “I don’t know what came over me, F-flash was just saying these awful things about you, a-about us and I began to doubt myself”
You neared your sobbing boyfriend, immediately feeling guilting for suggesting that you end things. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling his head down to rest on your shoulder as he cried. “T-they say I don’t deserve you, all the guys. T-they say you’re too good for me… and it’s true”.
You stroked his hair softly as he let out his emotions. You never knew that he’d felt this way, that this could have ever been the reason for his outbreak. That Peter Parker was insecure.
“Baby no” you whispered but he didn’t stop there.
“You’re the kindest and sweetest soul and I don’t know what I ever did to deserve you. You’ve been with me through everything and I-I’m just… Peter” he hiccuped, pulling away from you with bleary eyes. “P-please don’t leave me, you’re everything I have”
“Peter…” you sighed, holding him close until he’d calmed down. “I-I’ll never leave you, I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry”. You clung to him, trying to tell him that you were there and that you weren’t ever going to let go, you cursed yourself for being such a terrible girlfriend. When you both pulled away, you looked up at Peter, feeling his love for you radiate off of his body. You stood on your tip toes and slowly pressed your lips to his, the taste of his cherry lip balm invading your tongue. His warm and familiar hands snaked their way around your waste, pulling you closer to him. You gripped the collar of his plaid shirt from under his jumper and tugged him towards you, wanting to be as close to him as possible, wanting him to feel the love you had for him. All of Peter’s insecurities melted away in that moment, he knew that you would never leave him, he knew that you loved him and that none of the other guys meant anything to you, not even Flash.
When you’d both come up for air, a small smile graced your lips. Peter returned your smile, going to bury his head in the crook of your neck again. “I’m so in love with you” he whispered against the skin of your neck.
“I love you too Pete”
You both stood in silence, holding each other, the only sounds being made were your giggles as Peter pressed kisses to your neck. “I really am sorry about Flash though, I know how much he means to you” Peter spoke, after a few moments.
You rolled your eyes, before ruffling Peter’s hair. “He was an asshole anyways, you’re all that I care about”
You both laughed before you pressed a quick kiss to Peter’s lips, making him blush. “Now we should probably get out of here before people think we’re up to something” you winked at him playfully , as he shook his head at your antics.
Peter only let out a laugh as you pulled away to unlock the door. You grinned back at him, admiring his smile, and the way it reached his eyes. You really loved Peter and god help anyone that tried to make your baby insecure again.
