Every Me And Every You - Twenty Five

“Emily!”

Shit, fuck, crap…Oh fuck balls.

You stared up at your friend and colleague standing in front of you.

“I’m guessing you’re here with Dan, where is he? I wanna meet this mysterious guy of yours.” Emily scanned the bar area as you looked behind her to the toilets where Reid had disappeared into.

Oh please please PLEASE, let him see her before she sees him.

“He’s erm…. Gone to the bathroom. What are you doing here?!”

You couldn’t even text him, the angle she was stood at meant that she’d see everything.

“Oh great. I’ll wait with you then.” She slid into the seat opposite, you groaning internally as she continued. “I got the idea from you actually, when you mentioned going to see a show.”

“Are you here alone then?” you asked her, looking around, your nerves now on edge.

“I’m here with Bob. He’s getting drinks.”

Bob was Emily’s friend and often date to social events she couldn’t get out of. He was gay, but he played it straight enough so that it stopped her mother, Ambassador Elizabeth Prentiss, asking too many questions about her love life.

Ah yes, you could see him at the bar, leaning over and flirting with the bartender.

“I like your necklace Y/N. Is it new?”

Your hands flew to your throat, to the choker/collar, fingerings the teardrop diamond.

“Erm… Yes. Dan bought it.” Your eyes were dashing between Emily and the bathroom door.

“He has good taste. In women as well as jewellery.” She grinned at you.

Just then your phone began to vibrate.

Private number.

You swiped it quickly.

“Y/N… I saw her. Play it cool, alright. Repeat after me. Say ‘Dan, is there a problem?’“

Spencer. Oh thank fuck he’d seen her.

“Dan, is there a problem?” you parroted, seeing a concerned look come across Emily’s face.

“Now say ‘really, on a Saturday night?’ and sound annoyed.”

“Really, on a Saturday night?” you tried to sound irritated.

“Now, ‘no of course I understand, you’re a doctor. It’s important. I’ll be right out.’ And then tell Emily an emergency has come up at the hospital where I work and that I’ve bought the car around. I’m outside, do not let her come with you. And hurry, I can only park here for so long.”

“No of course I understand, you’re a doctor. It’s important. I’ll be right out.” You disconnected the call and stood, grabbing your bag.

“Sorry Em. Dan got a call from work when he was in the bathroom. They need him, he’s gone to fetch the car. ”

“I’ll come out with you,” she told you.

“NO!… No it’s fine. He wouldn’t be able to stop and talk anyway. And Bob’s here now with your drinks.” You greeted her companion. “Hi Bob, bye Bob. Em, I gotta run. I’ll see you Monday okay.”

Before she could respond you turned quickly and walked as fast as your heels would allow out of the bar and through the foyer, out onto the street. You checked to make sure she wasn’t following you. She wasn’t.

There was a god after all.

You spotted Spencer’s car and jumped in, buckling up as he sped off.

“That was fucking close,” you breathed out a few minutes later when your heart had stopped pounding.

“Close indeed. I clocked her just as I made it into the bathroom. I assume she didn’t mention seeing me?”

“No.” You shook your head.

“So we might be okay then.”

“I think so…. God can you imagine if they found out?” You laughed, picturing the teams faces.

“If they found out that we’d been sleeping together or what the sleeping together actually involved?”

“Both. I think we’d need pick Derek’s jaw off the floor for him.”

“Yeah they definitely wouldn’t believe that we’re into the things we are. Or that someone like you would actually sleep with me.” There he was, criticising himself again.

“Spencer… Someone like me?”

He glanced at you. “Oh come on Y/N, you’re way out of my league.”

You scoffed. “Really Spencer? You forget, I’ve met April. That girl was stunning.”

“She was pretty. And she’s good fun, but you’ve got the whole package.”

“I do?”

“Yeah, you do. You’re beautiful, your body is to die for. You’re kind, and generous, and an exceptionally good friend too. You’re funny. And you don’t judge people for their quirks. Add that to the fact it turns out you’re a bit…. Shall we say ‘kinky’, and you’re pretty much perfect.”

Oh….

Oh!

“Spencer… I’m not perfect. And I’m not out of anyone’s league, least of all yours. Our co worker’s would be shocked, but mainly because you show very little interest in girls or sex when you’re at work. It wouldn’t have anything to do with them thinking that you’re not good looking enough to attract attention. I’ve told you before that you get the same amount of attention that Morgan does so quit with the self pity. You’re hot alright. Majorly hot. Especially when you say dirty things to me.”

He smiled softly and you reached a hand out and squeezed his knee, leaving your hand there.

“Dirty things, eh?” He signalled, pulling off the main road and down a back street which you knew led onto a country lane which was rarely used at this time of night.

“Where are we going?” you asked.

“Home. Just the long, quiet way.”

“Why?”

“Because I’d quite like to have your lips around my cock again right now and we’re less likely to get caught this way.”

Jesus…..

“Is that an order?” you asked knowing you’d do it anyway and trailing your hand up his thigh, feeling his dick harden through his pants.

“Yes.”

“Whilst you’re driving?” That was the part you were unsure about and he could tell, pulling to a stop at the side of the road, underneath some trees.

It was dark and there were no houses nearby or any other cars. Unbuckling your seat belt, you leant over the centre console and fumbled with his belt and zipper. Reaching inside his pants, you tugged him free and got to work.

His hands tangled in your hair applying light pressure on your head as you dragged your lips up and down his erection, your cheeks hollowing as you sucked and licked, tasting the salty liquid that leaked from the tip.

You adjusted yourself in your seat and felt his fingers slip under the choker he’d made you wear, fingering the buckle at the back of your neck.

Adding your hand into the mix you gripped his dick, pumping up and down, following the same track with your lips, his gasps and groans sending shivers down your spine.

You gained momentum, his hand on your neck forcing your pace. If it had been any other man pressing on you, you’d have gotten out of the car and walked off, but with Spencer, you didn’t mind. If you told him it bothered you, he’d stop and there’d be no judgement or offence from either of you. Sure there were a few times where he pushed too much, you fighting against your gag reflex as he hit the back of your throat, but for the most part, it was fine. Sexy even….

He removed his hands and you saw him tugging at his shirt, undoing the bottom few buttons.

“I’m close Y/N….fuck…. I don’t have any water in the car so move when I say okay.”

“Hmmmm,” you murmured back in response, swirling your tongue over his head and pumping quicker with your hands, your saliva acting as a lubricant.

A few more passes up and down his cock and he was gasping, pulling your head away as he moaned out, “Move.”

You pulled away, keeping up the actions with your hand and feeling him twitch, seeing his eyes close and his lips parting as hot semen spilled out of him in short spurts, pooling onto his tummy and slowly trickling down.

When there was nothing left you removed your hand and rummaged in your bag for tissues, handing them to him to clean himself up. He wiped away his mess, balling the soiled napkin up and wrapping it in a fresh clean one, placing it in the pocket of his trousers and tucking himself away again, fastening his pants back up and starting the engine again.

You settled back down and rebuckled your seat belt.

“Just so you know, Snow….. Your blow jobs are ten out ten. Although…. I may now find myself getting distracted by your mouth at work, knowing what it can do.”

You laughed and told him ditto, and he pulled away from the curb continuing your journey back to his apartment. You rested your head on the window as he drove, feeling sleepy all of a sudden.

When you got back to the apartment, he locked the door and stood in front of you, stroking your hair back softly.

“You’re tired.”

“Yeah I am. I don’t know why, it’s not even that late.”

It was thirty minutes away from midnight, and you’d anticipated another night full of exploration. But your eyes were heavy and your body weary.

“Sex takes it’s toll on the body, and the sort we’ve been having will have an effect on your mind too. We can go to sleep, sleep in a bit tomorrow too,” he told you, still caressing your hair gently.

“You sure, I feel like I’m being a disappointment?”

“Never. Come on, let’s go to bed.”

Dylan & Eric:  Astrology Series      ♎  Mercury Signs ♈

Their signs in Mercury…

Mercury not only rules communication, it represents coordination. Thought processes, ideas, and sensory information from both conscious and unconscious sources all need to be coordinated and understood. Mercury analyzes, sorts, groups, and makes sense of things. How do we handle nervous energy? How do we express and convey our thoughts? How do we approach others and information in order to learn and exchange ideas?

Mercury is the messenger of the gods and is ruled by Gemini and Virgo and and the Third and Sixth Houses. . Mercury is the messenger in Astrology as it is in Mythology. It is the planet of day-to-day expression and communication.  It is connected to communication, reasoning, intellect and awareness. Due to its affect on brain power, Mercury will show short term planning, observation and deductive reasoning abilities.  Mercury’s action is to take things apart and put them back together again. It is an opportunistic planet, decidedly unemotional and curious.  Mercury looks for opportunity to act. It inspires ideas, thought processes and the unconscious mind, which all must be coordinated. Analytical ability, sorting and grouping and other methods of making sense of things all come from this planet.

In modern times, we tend to “meet” people’s Mercury first. Many people make a connection for the first time through e-mails, for example. Mercury rules whether we are flowery in our speech and/or written words, concise in our choice of words, or business-like even in our personal communications.

When we are “acting out” our Mercury, we are inquisitive, curious, communicative, and versatile. On the negative side, we can be high-strung or nervous, nit-picky, indecisive, and overly technical.

Mercury in Libra  ♎:

Mercury in Libra is pleasing. They are natural diplomats, or at least make the effort. They wish everyone were equal in the intellectual circles.

It is very important for them to have a mental connection to those they have relationships with. Chances are, if they feel there is no connection, it is because Mercury in Libra is trying too hard to be intellectual in their relationships instead of paying attention. They have a need for fairness, but their constant comparisons can appear to be unfair instead.

While they strive for perfection and can’t help criticizing, they try to be tactful. They are always looking for compromise, so everyone is happy. Opinions from either end of the spectrum can make them uncomfortable, but if they favor the middle ground, Libra Mercury is happy. This creates a great personality for a counselor or mediator. It may also cause them to be indecisive. They can’t help but see both sides to everything. This may cause them to lose out on opportunities sometimes because they take too long.

Mercury in Libra can be objective because they are able to think in the abstract. They are intelligent, but it is subtle. They don’t push it on anyone. They don’t like to play the bad guy, and will drive themselves mad trying to make everyone happy.

Mercury in Libra is good at networking with people, but due to a trend towards mental laziness, they may not always follow up on those connections or maintain them. They often turn to others for opinions when they need to make a decision. They may have a fondness for playing devil’s advocate. They are usually rational and well balanced. They don’t like arguments and prefer to have a quiet discussion.

Libra Mercury is friendly and broad minded, but they can stick to their principles when need be. They don’t like conflict or when people act in a crude manner. Quickly changing situations can be difficult for Mercury in Libra because they don’t adapt very fast. They prefer to study an issue and slowly come to a decision.

Mercury in Libra likes the arts and they enjoy literature. Culture is important to them. If they are not expressive in the arts themselves, they enjoy supporting others. They may not like seeing the darker side of life, and may appear to be rather shallow.

Libra Mercury is fun at parties. They are easy going, warm and charming. They may have talents as a speaker or performer of some kind. They need to learn that it is okay to disagree. Once that lesson has been understood, life becomes much easier for them. Writing comes naturally to them, and they are good at merging ideas. Overall, they work well with almost anyone.

When you date someone with Mercury in Libra, you can assume that their mind is almost always on your relationship. Libra is the sign of partnership and all Libra wishes for is to please their lover and be appreciated in return.

Mercury in Libra isn’t the type to think about sex in a raunchy sense; Libra prefers class and grace when it comes to dating and love. In fact, this is one of the most romantic signs of the zodiac so a great deal of mental energy will be spent on thinking up new ways to seduce you. What you will love most about Mercury in Libra is the ability to truly understand your point of view. In a relationship, that is priceless.

Mercury In Aries ♈ :

Mercury in Aries is quick thinking. They don’t have a lot of patience for studying every angle to every problem… they would rather make a decision and let you know. Candid and direct, they get to the point.

While they may appear crude or aggressive at times, it is usually because they are trying to overcome opposition to their ideas. Like a child, it doesn’t occur to them that someone may disagree with them, and so they may act out of frustration. Mercury in Aries is very attached to their ideas.

They tend to streamline their learning so they don’t get too bogged down in details. They take what they want and dismiss anything they feel may be irrelevant. Mercury in Aries has a certain innocent charm. They love to begin new things, and they are very enthusiastic. Any negative criticism will be taken personally, even if it was not meant that way. They are not afraid to stand up to a challenge. While idealistic, they are very intelligent.

Aries Mercury may quickly jump from old ideas to new if they seem more exciting. They are excellent promoters. They know how to motivate people and make things sound fun. They enjoy competing with others, and may argue a point just for fun.

They are mentally agile and can think well on their feet. Obstacles in their path are terribly frustrating for them. This may bleed over to other areas in their life as well as communication. Aries Mercury is known for their impatience.

Concentration may be difficult for long periods of time. It is easy for them to jump to conclusions, and they tend to be impulsive. Witty and inventive, they are great conversationalists as long as they don’t need to delve deeply into a subject. As charming as they may be, they can also be brutally honest.

They will do anything to win an argument, even with those they love. Aries Mercury can become a terrible know-it-all if this is not controlled. On the other hand, they can let their confidence inspire others with excitement. They tend to be original, and stand out in their areas of expertise. They are challenged to learn to love details and stick through projects no matter how tedious.

Opinionated almost to a fault, Mercury in Aries is quick to share theirs even when it isn’t wanted. They are not blessed with a lot of tact. They are restless, and seem full of nervous energy. They need to be kept busy, and often don’t seem to have any to spare. They like to do things their own way; they don’t like to be told what to do. Aries Mercury can be a great leader, and even when not in such a position, they may have a handful of followers. Their excitement and enthusiasm is infectious.

When Mercury is in Aries you can be sure of one thing - honest and blunt communication. This Mercury placement will waste little time on conversation unless the talk is new, fresh and stimulating. In a relationship, someone with Mercury in Aries is often the initiator and may have more than a few sexy pick up lines at his disposal.

It’s common for those with Mercury in Aries to be fast talkers. This person will enjoy the occasional argument with a lover so don’t expect dating to be peaceful. There is only one thing you can count on when it comes to talking to your Mercury in Aries lover - it will never get boring!

anonymous asked:

I find it really hard to come up with creative ideas, ideas that motivate me. I feel like my stories are not worth telling and I usually give up on writing weeks after I started. Being a big procrastinator and clinically depressed also helps.

Idea vs. Plot

I honestly believe that there is no shortage of good, creative ideas, and I bet you have many of them. What holds us back is not knowing how to execute them. Some writers will quit on the best ideas because they can’t take it beyond the idea. This might be your problem, and if it is, it’s totally fixable.

The difference between an idea and a plot is this:

  • Idea: A vague concept with no clear direction. An idea is less than a sentence long. “A story about two planets at war” is an idea. Who are these planets? What are they at war over? Who are we rooting for and who ultimately wins? Answering these questions takes it from an idea to a plot.
  • Plot: A plot includes a beginning and an end. Your characters are named and briefly described. They have goals. You have a protagonist and an antagonist (whether it’s an actual person or a larger, abstract entity). A plot is still vague, but it has a purpose.

If you’re still not interested once you have your plot, then you haven’t taken your idea in the direction that excites you, and you should keep brainstorming. Find a new angle. Choose a new protagonist. Flip your character’s motives. Change the outcome. Start by making extreme changes - go the opposite direction you went before and see what you think. If there’s not even a semblance of something that excites you, then it’s time to try out a new idea.

Keep a journal of ideas. If they don’t come to you naturally, then sit down and try to think of a new idea every week. And remember, an idea is no longer than a sentence. It’s a concept. It’s a hook to get the juices flowing. It doesn’t have to be unique on the surface. Ideas become unique when you start to plot them.

Tell me what’s stopping you from writing and let’s talk about it!

On taking a name

I don’t consider myself an author.  Is that strange?  Is it odd that I think about the word itself?  Maybe it is.  It’s pretty self-absorbed to choose a title, but I like the ability to define myself.

One of my favorite books is “A Year At the Movies: One Man’s Filmgoing Odyssey” by Kevin Murphy.  Murphy is perhaps best known as the voice of Tom Servo on Mystery Science Theater 3000, another thing that made my brain what it is today.  “Year At the Movies” is Murphy’s tale of seeing a publicly exhibited movie every single day for an entire year.  365 days, 365 movies.  He saw movies on airplanes, at drive-ins, in museums, in a theater in someone’s living room, in the modern multiplex, at film festivals and truck stops and in a theater carved from ice.  He ate nothing but theater food for a week.  He took five different women to the same ‘date movie,’ and only one of them was his wife.  (One of them was Mike Nelson’s wife.)

I love this book.  It’s comfort reading for me, I read it through probably twice a year.  And in one part, he talks about Agnes Varda, a French New Wave director:

I became infatuated with her; this seventy year old French filmmaker, the only woman to rise out of and thrive in the French New Wave era, alongside guys like Truffaut and Goddard.  But she differs from her male counterparts slightly; while the boys gathered under the noble title auteur, Agnes chose for herself the more humble and accurate term cinecriteur, or cine-writer.  She is an intentional filmmaker, not leaving a thing to chance.  She selects her locations, angles, characters, lines, edits, all very carefully.  What you get out of her style is almost the opposite of what I hate about “art” filmmaking: Accident passing as brilliance.

Something about that paragraph stuck with me, though I never really understood why until later.  Until I started calling myself a writer.  It is the act that sustains me, the ACT of writing that changes me.  I dreamed in stories my whole life, I daydreamed and imagined and made up worlds for as long as I can remember.  That, to me, is being an author.  The ideas and the creation, the dreaming.

The act of writing, of forcing the ideas into something that someone else can understand, that someone else can appreciate, that is harder for me.  That is sometimes near impossible.  Things fully formed in my head become thin and runny, colorless and pale on the page.  The words are too small, too stark, too flavorless to convey what I’m trying to share, but they are all I have.

The stories come naturally.  Sharing them is work, it is work that I have often failed at, work that I have abandoned and from which I’ve flinched.

I choose for myself the title of writer.  It is not the stories I am proud of.  It’s the effort I make to share them.  It might be good writing or bad, it might be for fun or paid, but it is the act that defines it.  I am a writer.

Because for years, I could not be.
