Description: “The title of this work is ‘Jungle Life’, although it does not look like a jungle setting – all yellow, more like a dry area. In the picture the jackal has caught and is consuming the guinea fowl. German wildlife artist Wilhelm Kuhnert was born on 28 September 1865 in Oppeln, Upper Silesia. He trained at the Berlin Academy (to which he won a scholarship) where he studied under Paul Meyerheim and Richard Friese.“
