Hermione glanced at Ron and then said, “I thought that too. But he didn’t want you to know anything.”

“Maybe he thinks I can’t be trusted,” said Harry, watching their expressions.

“Don’t be thick,” said Ron, looking highly disconcerted.

“Or that I can’t take care of myself –”

“Of course he doesn’t think that!” said Hermione anxiously.

“You do care,” said Dumbledore. He had not flinched or made a single move to stop Harry demolishing his office. His expression was calm, almost detached. “You care so much you feel as though you will bleed to death with the pain of it.”

Harry was sure in that instant they were both wondering the same thing.

This is such a dark moment and I’ve never seen it talked about before!?!

The suggestion that Harry ‘I will turn this broom around to save Malfoy even though this room is filled with cursed fire and I have a Horcrux to destroy’ Potter might not have rushed to the rescue of Vernon Dursley is… woah.

It says a lot about the neglect and abuse Harry suffered with the Dursleys that he isn’t at all sure he’d want to rescue Vernon. Dudley does redeem himself. Harry has occasional moments of connection with Petunia, like in OoTP when he tells her Voldemort has returned. But Uncle Vernon? There is never, ever a moment of kindness or understanding between them.

MORE than that, Vernon suspects that Harry wouldn’t rush to his aid if he were captured. Does he assume this is because Harry has no interest in helping ‘his lot’?? Or because he knows, deep down, that his treatment of Harry really has been appalling and Harry has no reason to love him or worry about him??

It’s just a tiny little moment between these two characters, but it says so much about their (totally awful & dysfunctional) relationship. Lastly, I bet this is the only moment in the series where both Harry and Vernon are wondering the same thing simultaneously.

ok but what if Harry had actually used that mirror Sirius gave him ootp, not to ask for help just to talk to him about what’s going on at school and stuff, cause they can’t write letters or use the floo network anymore.

So Harry would just be sitting in his dorm, maybe even the common room just talking to this mirror for hours at a time about whatever’s going on in his life.

And because he can’t call him Sirius he just doesn’t say his name or calls him snuffles, and because he can’t explain that is god father who escaped from Azkaban is talking back to him from the other side everyone things he just enjoys talking to this old mirror/his reflection except Ron and Hermoine.

and everyone just thinks Harry has officially lost it and broke and they just leave him be to talk to himself all night

The Room of Requirement is a secret room within Hogwarts that only appears when someone is in great need. Also known as the Come and Go Room and the Room of Hidden Things, it is located on the seventh floor opposite a tapestry of ballet dancing trolls. For the hidden entrance to appear you must walk past the wall three times whilst thinking about what you need. The room then transforms in shape, size and contents to fulfill your desires.

Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by the British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of a wizard, Harry Potter, and his friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry’s quest to overcome the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort, whose aims are to become immortal, conquer the wizarding world, subjugate non-magical people, and destroy all those who stand in his way, especially Harry Potter.

Since the release of the first novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on 30 June 1997, the books have gained immense popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success worldwide. The series has also had some share of criticism, including concern for the increasingly dark tone. As of June 2011, the book series has sold about 450 million copies, making it the best-selling books series in history and has been translated into 67 languages, and the last four books consecutively set records as the fastest-selling books in history. “we won’t be seeing you,” fred told professor umbridge, swinging his leg over his broomstick.
“yeah, don’t bother to keep in touch,” said george, mounting his own.
fred looked around at the assembled students and at the silent, watchful crowd.
“if anybody fancies buying a portable swamp, as demonstrated upstairs, come to number ninety-three diagon alley — weasley’s wizard wheezes,” he said in a loud voice. “our new premises!”
“special discounts to hogwarts students who swear they’re going to use our products to get rid of this old bat,” said george, pointing at professor umbridge.“ …
"give her hell from us, peeves.”

and peeves, whom harry had never seen take an order from a student before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as fred and george wheeled about to tumultuous applause from the students below and sped out of the open front doors into the glorious sunset.
