FOUR: Side by Side Shop and Home

In a perfect world, meaning Toronto, I could blast off in my tender to the office a few puddle skips away.

“On The Water everyday” is not just a tag line, it’s a mantra.

Building an on the water residential community for my family and staff is how I think the world should be operating. Self sustaining Communities of organic families that work together on a daily basis will give strength to family values!

Family as a value in 2016 is regrettably un recognizable. The single parents far out number the organic families and forming three, four or more extensions to an already extended family is, ummmm normal?

A co-operative that engages its employees as owners and owners as employees all aligned to be of service, on the water, everyday!

10 floating tiny homes could range in value from 40k up to 1 million dollars pretty easily however the ideal of this co-op community would be to find a balance and/or equality for resource conditioning and distribution. Becoming an example of what is possible when people decide that families working together is better than working with strangers. It would be very different eh?

Would you consider living in a co-op community, on the water?

THREE: Dry Stack in Toronto

The limited public access to the water in a city that is completely shored by Lake Ontario is mind boggling to me.

First point is, there are not enough affordable spaces to put boats in the Greater Toronto Area and even if the spaces we do have were being leased cheaper we would still max out easily.

The alternative came to me online and verified during a service call to Midlands Bayport Yachting Center. They have a dry stack system servicing 40+ boats under 35 ft LOA on-demand with heated year round storage! It was such a smooth operation that you can only imagine scaling up to 400 or more boats!

“It paid for itself in 3 seasons”

Spike on the Water would certainly keep all the boats in perfect presentation stasis and on 8 hours notice launch a boat on demand. Giving access and reliable 35ft and smaller vessel management to 100’s more recreational marine enthusiasts on Lake Ontario!

10 years Management and maintenance in exchange for 150,000 ft/sq. waterfront land purchase and construction is the dream. Build it and they will come!

A bank or deep pocketed venture capitalist with a waterfront initiative could launch this project in a single season!
