only on disney

I love the new Disney show “Andi Mack” and I am 100% for the LGBT+ characters(s) the show is supposed to have. I am just worried though. Only recently did Disney show it’s 1st LGBT+ kiss on Star vs the Forces of Evil but there was a huge epidemic with the episode “Just friends” and it was pulled off all things disney much to everyone’s surprise. What worries me is that on Andi Mack when they show gay characters as being open Disney will flip their shit and pull Andi Mack off air. Considering what Andi Mack was able to accomplish so far I think disney won’t pull another Star and flip out. I hope Disney does not fuck this up.

My Uninformed Impression of Kingdom Hearts

*Everyone contains a Hot Topic version of themselves
*Sora’s heart must be huge cause he has like 50 dudes in there
*Final Fantasy but with big hands and feet so they match Mickey?
*Game releases are measured in decimal points and tears
*No design of anything is practical ever
*Sparkles
*Is rated E but has no problem dropping you into nightmare fuel
*Once a fan, You Never Leave
*Bedhead only possible in zero G
*Everyone’s eyes are like a slice of the ocean
*And their teeth are probably fluorescent light bulbs
*Buncha trenchcoat punks eating salty ice cream
*I only ever see people drawing them happy
*Does that mean the games are really sad
*What did they Do to you

Why lgbt people are mad about Le Fou in case it wasn’t obvious
  • The first gay Disney character is literally named The Fool
  • He’s unrequitedly in love with a straight man
  • A straight man who bullies and abuses him
  • Le Fou will 99% likely NOT get a happy ending
  • He’s being played by someone known to be straight
  • His sexuality is basically a joke
  • His sexuality is likely to be the butt of a joke the entire movie
  • We already know the character will be the butt of the joke even if his sexuality itself isn’t
  • His entire role in the movie is to be evil and stupid comic relief and boost Gaston’s self-esteem
  • He’s described as “confused”
  • Queercoding villains and Disney go together like peanut butter and jelly
  • Disney is patting itself on the back for all of this
  • His character description is stereotypical
  • Le Fou being gay for Gaston is already something of a cultural joke
  • He’s barely in the movie
  • He’s the only gay person in a love story, he will end up alone and evil
  • People have been saying how you could improve the story by making it gay for years and of all the ideas this is the worst possible option for picking a gay character
  • We coulda had lesbian Beast
  • Kids will have this as their first gay Disney character
  • For some kids this will be their first gay character period
  • It will be their ONLY gay Disney character
  • They chose to make a shot for shot remake of the animated movie with the most whitebread actors and the only thing they want to change up is making the evil fool gay
  • Disney could get away with any kind of lgbt character because they are a monolith yet they choose this

GUYS, DISNEY OF JAPAN JUST RELEASED A NEW TSUMTSUM VIDEO THAT INCLUDES OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT!

UPDATE: Disney released the short to the public! Please go support the official release! https://youtu.be/kabIqXASh1E

he’s the beauty; she’s the beast

so i’m sure the remake of a timeless classic that disney is about to roll out is going to be great and all

but here’s another way we could do things:

he’s the beauty

she’s the beast

for a movie who’s central theme is inner beauty, it doesn’t really do anything to support that, you know? so how about this: adam, our prince turned beast, isn’t an inhospitable monster. because this back story doesn’t make any sense – why is the young prince of this land alone, in a castle, only to be caught unaware by a witch?

so how about this – this is pseudo france, right, so these royals do what their real life counterparts did. they flee. the cruel, greedy king and queen flee and leave their young son behind with their staff. their son who is kind and soft hearted and totally unfit to rule any kingdom (never mind that they’re literally running away from their own people). not only that – they trade their son for their freedom, trade their kingdom for their freedom. to the witch.

so the witch comes, and she doesn’t disguise herself as a crone, goes to him looking as lovely and young as her magic keeps her. but our prince adam has a talent, one many cast-aside, neglected children have developed – the ability to see people for who they really are, and he knows this is no kind young woman in need of his help. he refuses to let her in – and there’s this little twist to the magic, that she can only enter the palace grounds and claim her prize if she’s welcomed in a as a guest, and he, the young master of this castle, won’t let her in.
