only in the hetalia fandom

  • Hungary: [Talking about Switzerland] Here, you can take these to your boyfriend.
  • Austria: He’s not my boyfriend!
  • Hungary: You’re not fooling anyone, dear.

I’ve only been in Hetalia’s fandom for like - two weeks, and I’m already lost forever. Moreover, I just finished @cookies-hetaoni game tonight and, golly, I’m still dead from the inside. So here, have a little Iggy! Igor and Loup are coming soon huhu.

OK. So, i just finished watching euro vision, and good for you, Portugal!
The only problem?
The Hetalia fandoms has influenced me to the point that I couldn’t stop imagining Prussia, Denmark and America as the ones presenting. England was in a sparkly gold dress, Bulgaria dancing around with Russia on a tiny boat whilst singing.
Ya feel me?

Jesus Christ Hetalia

Happy Ten Year Anniversary to Hetalia! I’ve only been in the fandom for a short time, but already this series has affected me greatly. So, I made ten desktop wallpapers of some of my favorite characters! (I have a lot of favorites tho).

transparents belong to @heta–transparents and @transparentalia!
art belongs to Hidekaz Himaruya!

please reblog and/or like if you use! (if there’s a character you want that isn’t here, feel free to send me an ask!)

bonus moscow wallpaper:

just because i liked it a lot.

Left to Right: Sherlock, Doctor Who, Hetalia, Homestuck & Supernatural

Sherlock: Hmm.. A camera, let me look cool- GUYS
Hetalia: Paaaasta!/Draw a circle that’s the world!/Ne ne papa-COLYPSE/Shine bright like a doitsu~
Homestuck: Shut the f*ck up demon-boy/Heta’s mine
Supernatural: F*ck you Monster-thing/GET THE SALT

The only fandom I am in this photo, is Hetalia. My Dad’s in Doctor Who and Sherlock so.. And maybe I should get into Homestuck.
Anyways, Fandomstuck is basically Fandoms personified, and usually the main ones are these lovelies here.
Anyways, ship everyone with Hetalia, the moral of the story-
Jk xD

Anyways, personify your own Fandoms, I haven’t seen a MysMe one so.. (*Cough* Totally not a suggestion *Cough*)
And the Diamond thing between Heta and Stuck is apparently a “Moirail”. That is apparently in the Homestuck universe is, and I quote:
“They are a protector of their moirail’s heart. They keep each other grounded. A troll (or a fandom in this case) is compelled by fate to watch over their moirail and keep them in line. Despite the platonic appearance of this role (as we currently understand it) to us humans, trolls consider it a type of romance .”

So there, Hetastuck is cannon.

-Every time someone bitches about Homestuck, Hetalia beats them to death. When someone bitches about Hetalia, Homestuck agressively lectures them. But if they still don’t get it, they die or go to the hospital

-If Hetastuck (Heta x Stuck) and Supertalia/Hetanatural (Supernatural x Heta) are cannon, they’d want to get to him. But since Stuck is Heta’s moirail, Stuck is destined to be with him (I guess)

-Hetalia, Homestuck and Undertale hang out a lot. Undertale immediately liked Hetalia due to him being able to make extremely good pasta

-Hetalia can speak every language, even lost ones. (Don’t reveal him to the government them xD)

-Doc. Who always brags how he could go back and relieve the past in History while Heta could only have memories, which then is followed my a bash by a frying pan/wok/pipe/sunflower.

-Supernatural always throws salt at Stuck

I've got another deeply philosophical question: will the YOI wank ever end?

It’s 2030. Tumblr now exists in tridimensional VR format. The year has come when thousands of people worldwide can finally take a deep sigh of relief; that fandom died. It’s a sweeping moment the entirety of the online population can unanimously feel like a goosebump-inducing shiver on their skin; none of the tags are populated anymore, there’s no more canon content and the merch can now only be bought as a relic of the past for passionate collectors. Yuri means lesbian porn again. Ice means-  ice.

Every shonen in existence reached its finale - all in the same way, nonetheless, with the characters being paired together in heterosexual couples on a complete whim and having children with bad character designs. There are only two fandoms still alive: the Hetalia fandom - also known as the fandom that never dies - and the Steven Universe fandom, since there are still enough people on the internet to harass off of it.

But suddenly, a new challenger appears on the horizon. The elders residing on this site raise their tired gazes. It’s a sports anime… A rare species they haven’t seen in a long time. It’s like the second coming of Jesus. The hungry crowds gather their last forces to crawl across the floor in desperation, bony hands reaching out to the new gift their god, Japan, has bestowed upon them. A sports anime. It’s about competitive fishing. The characters display ambiguously gay behaviours.

Tumblr cheers in joy. As every end is a new beginning, we must realize the world truly runs around in circles.

Am I the only person in the hetalia fandom who thinks it’s a little fucked up that most people neglect to include AN ENTIRE CONTINENT of nations in their character list that happen to all most likely be Black?

Like I’ve heard of one Africa character one time. Really guys. The closest thing we’ve got is Egypt, and he’s pretty much silent in Canon Hetalia.

anonymous asked:

hey, I just got into this and just one thing I want to ask——are you going to consider change Ontario's character name, since they are using the same name for 2p England(Oliver)? I know their human names are not commonly used but this just really bothers me.

Alright so the short answer is sorry but no, we are not going to change Ontario’s name.

Here’s the long answer if you want to know why:

First and foremost, it is important to point out that the 2p Hetalia didn’t even exist when he was created and named. We can’t just change every character’s name every time Himaruya has a new idea. Besides, I am not even sure the name Oliver is canon for 2p England (last time I checked the Hetalia fandom only the 2p version of the Axis were canon, everything else was fanon), so unless it is, we have absolutely no reason to even consider changing Ontario’s name.

Furthermore, changing Ontario’s name would mess up our own canon, and we’d rather not do that unless we absolutely have to. Besides, our canon does not exist in the same universe as the 2p, meaning Ontario and 2p England would never meet, so for our canon, there is no risk of things getting confusing.

Finally, the characters do not belong to us so we cannot do everything we want with them. We gave names to the characters that didn’t and made minor changes to their appearances for the project, but we simply cannot wake up one day and decide to change his name to Gregory as we aren’t an authority that has the power to do that. We are a fan project, our characters are OCs that do not belong to us more than they belong to the old IAMP and current PC community. Even if we were to change Ontario’s name, chances are people would not accept this change and keep calling him Oliver anyways, because we cannot impose the change on the community.

Hope that answers your question!

A Decade of Hetalia

It’s hard to believe that Hetalia turns 10 years old this year. It’s gone by so fast.

And it’s incredible that after all these years, the fandom’s still pretty strong. Not as gargantuan as it once was, but it’s still got a pretty dedicated fanbase. And despite various ups and downs and a fandom quarrel here and there, it’s remained a pretty solid community. I’m still very happy to be a part of it.

And after all these years, thank goodness, Himaruya is still going strong. He started the series when he was in his early 20s, and now he’s 30 and still drawing the manga. Hima’s such a nice and giving person, bless his heart. We as a fandom have been privileged to have so much fun material come out from him. From the webcomic, published manga volumes, blog sketches, games, events, and more. And he’s never let the fame and popularity of Hetalia go to his head, either. He comes across as very humble, even now.

It really has been a busy decade. We as a fandom have also seen anime, merchandise, a movie, a musical, and more. Plus, we’ve had thousands of cosplays, meetups, cons, and lots of fanmade material. And it’s only going to continue.

So here’s to a fandom that’s stuck with Hetalia through it all. The good and the bad. The heartbreaking, heartwarming, and the strange. We adore a series that celebrates humor on an international level and has given us some wonderful characters. Let’s continue to keep calm and carry on from here on out. Make pasta, not war~!

Hi! Congratulations on becoming an ambassador! It's really awesome that you'll be representing Japan. Can I ask your opinion on NedPan? It's really an unpopular pairing but I'm really curious to know the opinion from somebody who lives in the country. Thank you in advance for your answer!

Hello hello! Thank you for the ask (人’‘▽`)おーきん☆
and I’ll do my best!

Well firstly in Japan, the pairing NedPan is called
漬物組・つけものぐみ・tsukemono-gumi・Pickled Pair(duo)

I don’t really get why it’s called Picked Pair but it’s probably something to do with picked food and something to do with the Dutch coming to Japan and stuff (maybe).

蘭菊 is the kanji only pairing name (there’s a lot in Hetalia fandom)
Netherlands is called オランダさん・Oranda-san, name of the country, and 蘭にいさん・Ran-nisan. This is because Netherlands doesn’t have official human name, the Japanese fans used the middle kanji from his non-katakana name 阿蘭陀, got the idea of being brother to Belgium, got inspired from the manga/anime “Detective Conan” when the main heroin is called “蘭ねぇちゃん”(Ran-nechan) and named Netherlands 蘭にいさん.

Well in Japan, NedPan is an unpopular paring as well, with few fanarts appearing there and there. I think it’s one of those types of pairing where it’s just fluffy ((like Netherlands’ rabbit and Japan’s dog)). I can see why it’s unpopular because those characters have less interaction with each other, and the only time those two meet is during like the 1600s till America came in between (around 1850s)

As I am a multishipper, I think this ship is cute in it’s own way, being mutual all. Netherlands sharing western things like guns and Japan opening doors. I think that this is one of the ships that never grew and just kinda stayed in mutual, friendship type of relationship.
