In our hearts.

Lol I’m addicted to dad Harry…

Anyway, enjoy!!! :)

“Daddy, why don’t I have a mommy? Where is she?” The melody merging into the hot air of the garden, created by the brush of Harry’s fingertips against the chords of his old guitar, halted when he heard those words. He knew at some point that question was going to pop in in any of their conversations, but he had never expected it to come up in such a sudden way.

He didn’t realise how long he had been making her wait until she left her toys on the floor and walked to curl up in his lap, calling his attention “Where is she, Daddy?” He looked down to her, meeting her innocent and vivid gaze, and detecting her inherited features from you in them “What made you ask that baby girl?” She shrugged before answering “Lately I’ve noticed all my friends have a mommy and a daddy… well, not all of them, Emma has two daddies and Kevin to mommies; but I only have you. Why don’t I have a mommy?”

He ignored the speech he had prepared for that question and, looking at the horizon where the sun made its final appearance of the day, he answered in the most honest of the ways “Princess, sometimes the brightening of a miracle means the fade of another one” He could feel a lump settling at the back of his throat, as he repeated the sentence he once told himself the saddest as well as happiest day of his life three years ago.

All the landscape at his sight disappeared and was replaced by the image of a dim waiting room where his figure walked nervously from side to side, waiting impatiently for good news. The next thing he visualised was the sorry countenance of the doctor leading him to the delivery room, finding his baby daughter being held by the wrong person. She was supposed to be in your arms, not the ones of the nurse. He was supposed to see the beautiful image of the two loves of his life, one smiling wide as she tried to calm the other little one, not what he saw.

The feeling of the lump grew inevitably wider and he realised he had to stop recalling that day if he didn’t want his daughter to see him crying. “What does that mean Daddy?” She sat up and stroked his cheek with her small hand “That means she’s somewhere out there looking after us.” He got lost in the darkness of the sky. “You see that shiny star? The one that stands out between the rest?” He pointed at it while leaning to be at her level. He saw as her chocolate eyes located its spot and a grin made its home at her face “Yeah, it’s very beautiful. I like it very much” “That’s where Mommy is. Sure she’s right now looking at you and the precious angel you’re growing into.” Her mouth made an “o” shape, she couldn’t get her eyes out of the shiny spot. “Will Mommy ever come to visit us?” “No my love, but she’ll always be with us, even if we don’t see her.” He wanted to check if she had understood what that meant, that’s why he asked “Do you know where she’ll be?”

“Yeah, Mommy will always be in our hearts.”

I’ll Always Save You

Request: Yes! Here it is

Warnings: vampires, vampire attack, fighting, jerk Klaus.

“Harry….we need to talk,” You murmured, leaning against the door to your room.

“What is it, love?” Harry inquired.

“I haven’t been entirely honest with you, about my family,” You murmured.

“What do you mean?” Harry asked.

“I mean, they’re coming to town tomorrow, all of them. I’m going to have to go and meet with them,” You replied.

“Can I meet them?” He inquired.

“No!” You loudly said. Harry looked at you, his eyebrows raised in surprise. “I’m sorry. I mean, no, that wouldn’t be a good idea right now. There’s some….trouble, and it would be best if it was just my family and I, tomorrow. But you can meet them someday, if you want.”

“Okay, love,” Harry murmured, reaching his hand out towards you. You took it, and he pulled you closer.

“How about you spend time with the boys tomorrow, hm?” You asked, putting your hands on his shoulders.

“Yeah. It’s been a while since I’ve seen them. Maybe we’ll go to the pub,” Harry replied.

“That sounds like fun. Tell them I said hi?” You inquired.

“I will,” Harry replied. The two of you went to bed soon afterwards, Harry holding you close.

You awoke early the next morning, and quietly got out of bed, not wanting to wake Harry. You went downstairs and began to brew coffee, before setting out a mug for him.

“Morning, love,” Harry sleepily said, coming up behind you and putting his arms around your waist.

“Morning, Harry,” You replied, turning to face him. “How’d you sleep?”

“I slept wonderfully,” Harry said, leaning his head against your shoulder. “Your coffee smells amazing.”

“Help yourself. It’s just about done,” You said, gesturing towards the pot. “I’m going to be going out after I get changed. I’ll see you later this afternoon?”

“Sure, love,” Harry said, pouring coffee into his mug. “Thanks for the coffee.”

“You’re welcome,” You said, starting up the stairs. You quickly showered and changed, before calling out to Harry that you were leaving.

“I’ll see you, love!” Harry called. You got into your car, and began the drive towards Damon and Stefan, your cousins, house. You knocked on the door when you got there, and Stefan opened it.

“(Y/N), how nice to see you. Come in,” Stefan said, stepping back. You walked into the house, and went straight to the living room. Damon was there, pouring himself some whiskey.

“(Y/N)!” Damon exclaimed, holding out his arms. You rolled your eyes slightly, and walked towards him. He pulled you in, holding you close for a moment. “You should come visit more often, cousin.”

“You know why I can’t, Damon,” You murmured. “Harry’s already too curious about the family that is coming in to town today. Imagine if I told him that I was coming to visit my family who lives just outside of town. He’d want to meet you, then there’s the risk of him finding out about us, and if he finds out, I’m sure that he’ll leave me.”

“(Y/N), he wouldn’t find out. We’ve kept the secret for hundreds of years.” Damon replied.

“Except for that one time. Remember? They were going to burn you at the stake.” You said.

“A slight inconvenience.” Damon said, smiling.

“When did Elijah, Klaus, Kol and Rebecca say they would get here?” You asked.

“They should be here at any moment,” Damon replied.

“Okay.” You said, biting your lower lip. You weren’t sure about seeing all of them again, especially Klaus. Things had been a bit tumultuous the last time you’d seen him, and you weren’t eager to relive that argument again. He didn’t appreciate that you were dating Harry, who was mortal, and had no idea about the world you were a part of. Even worse, in Klaus’s eyes, was that Harry was well known, and if anything happened to him, it would be catastrophic for all of you. A knock came at the door, interrupting your musing, and you heard Stefan greeting Elijah and his siblings. They came into the living room, and took seats on the couch.

“Hello, (Y/N),” Elijah said, nodding solemnly at you. The rest of them greeted at you as well, and the meeting began.

—–

Harry picked up his phone, hastily dialing Niall’s number. He heard the sound of the shower starting, and hoped that, along with that you were upstairs, would cover the sound of the conversation.

“Harry? What’s up?” Niall inquired.

“Something’s up with (Y/N),” Harry replied. “I started to ask her if I could meet her family that’s coming into town today, and she got really upset, and defensive. I want to make sure she’s okay. Will you come with me?”

“Of course. When do you want to meet?” Niall asked.

“Be here in ten?” Harry inquired.

“Sure thing,” Niall replied. You left soon afterwards, and Harry followed shortly, getting into Niall’s car. They followed behind slowly, watching until you pulled off into a long driveway. Niall stopped the car on the other side, and the two of them sat there, waiting to see if you’d come back out. When you didn’t, and another car pulled in, they decided to get out. They walked carefully through the woods, careful to keep out of sight of the driveway. They stopped when they reached the edge of the woods, and saw a large house.

“Wow,” Niall murmured.

“What is this place?” Harry inquired. They looked around, before creeping towards the front of the house. They crouched underneath an open window, Harry cautiously peering into the room. He saw you, and several other people seated on couches and in arm chairs.

—-

“So, (Y/N), are you still dating that mortal?” Klaus inquired.

“You already know the answer to that, Klaus. I still am, of course, and he has a name. Harry.”  You snapped.

“I know the boy’s name. I’m just wondering why you, someone who is hundreds of years old, would waste your time on him,” Klaus snarled.

“Because I love him!” You angrily said, pushing yourself off the couch.

“But would he love you, if he knew what you are? Would he love you, knowing that you’re a vampire?” Klaus said, smirking.

“Is this why you came here, Klaus? To taunt (Y/N)?” Stefan inquired.

“No, it’s not,” Elijah interjected. “Klaus has managed to anger another vampire. A powerful vampire. We would appreciate your help.”

“Who did you anger?” You inquired, fighting the urge to roll your eyes.

“His name is Dominic,” Rebecca said. “He’s out for Klaus’s blood-and the blood of anyone related to him.”

“Great. How are we going to find him?” You asked.

“He’ll be tracking me,” Klaus replied. “He should be here in a few hours.”

—-

Harry’s mouth fell open in disbelief when Klaus called you a vampire, and he fought every urge to run as fast as he could.

“Harry. Harry, did you hear that?” Niall whispered.

“I did,” Harry quietly said. “Let’s get out of here.”

The two of them carefully crept away from the house, hurrying back towards Niall’s car. They got inside, and Niall sped back towards Harry’s home.

“Are you going to be okay, mate?” Niall inquired, as he pulled up in the driveway.

“I am. I just….was he serious?” Harry asked. He was shocked about what he had heard, and wondering why you had never told him yourself.

“He sounded pretty serious to me.” Niall replied.

“I don’t even….” Harry murmured. “Do you think she’s ever bitten me?”

“I don’t think she’d do that to you, Harry. She loves you. How about I go get Liam and Louis, and we all spend the day together? Maybe go for a hike?” Niall asked.

“Sure. That sounds great,” Harry replied, getting out of the car. “See you in a bit.”

—-

“Harry?” You called, opening your front door. Harry’s car was in the driveway, but there was no sign of him in the house. Sighing, you tossed your purse down, your stomach prickling with hunger. You knew that you’d have to go feed soon, and that the forest was the best place to do so. You walked out of the house, heading towards the forest. You stepped into the cool woods, and used your heightened senses to search for your prey. You heard four human hearts beating, and shifted away from those. Listening again, you heard an animal snuffling through the underbrush. Your pace quickened in the direction of the animal, but you were drawn off course by the sound of screams. You turned towards them, recognizing one of the voices.

“Stefan, Damon!” You called, hoping that they would hear you, since you weren’t too far from their house.

“(Y/N)?” Stefan called, racing towards you. You saw, in dismay, that Klaus and everyone else was following him.

“Harry’s in trouble,” You gasped, before taking off in the direction his scream had come from. You looked over your shoulder, and breathed a sigh of relief when you saw that they were following you. You arrived in a clearing, and saw Harry, being held against a tree by a vampire that you didn’t know.

“Dominic,” Klaus spat.

“Let him go!” You hissed, stalking into the clearing.

“Ah, (Y/N). Klaus’s little cousin,” He snarled. “I don’t think I should let this boy go. He has your smell all over him, and clearly means something to you.”

“If you value your life, you will let him go,” You snarled.

“I don’t think I will. He looks delicious. What happens if I….have a little taste?” Dominic inquired.

“Don’t you dare. If you lay a finger on him, there will be no hope for you.” Damon hissed.

“(Y/N),” Harry whispered. “Run.”

“I’m not running, Harry. I’m not leaving you with him.” You quietly said.

“If you’re so determined to stay here with him, then you can die with him. The only question is, who is going to die first?” Dominic inquired.

“Me. You’re going to fight me, unless you’re scared?” You taunted.

“Scared? Of you? You’re barely a fledgling.” He snapped, letting go of Harry. Harry slumped backwards against the tree, trying to catch his breath.

“Elijah, please get Harry and his friends out of here. Take them back to Stefan’s, please,” You murmured.

“I will, (Y/N),” Elijah said, walking over to them. “Come with me.”

The five of them walked out of the clearing, and you watched Harry go, before turning back to Dominic.

“You want a fight? You’ve got one,” You snapped.

“(Y/N), let us help you,” Stefan quietly said.

“I need to do this, Stefan. You can help me if things go south, okay?” You replied.

“Okay,” Stefan murmured, not wanting to let you fight him yourself.

“Hm. Do you think killing you will hurt Klaus?” Dominic inquired.

“No, it won’t. Besides that, you won’t be killing me,” You replied, smirking at him. He snarled, before racing towards you. You raised your hands, blocking his fist as he aimed for your ribs. He continued to try and hit you, try and knock you off balance, but you blocked his shots.

“Why don’t you just give up, Dominic?” You snapped, blocking another of his punches. His other hand came around, and wrapped around your throat, pushing you against a nearby tree.

“Because he needs to suffer, and as much as you say that your death won’t hurt Klaus, I know it will,” Dominic snarled. He pushed you harder against the tree, and you felt small bits of wood digging into your skin. Dominic came closer to you, his lips curved into an angry smile. “Have you ever wondered what happens when a vampire is bitten by another vampire?”

“No,” You murmured. Dominic smirked, before leaning closer, sinking his fangs into your neck. You gasped at the sensation, before letting out a scream. A moment later, you felt Dominic being yanked off of you, and you slumped to the ground. Through hazy vision, you saw Klaus fighting Dominic, until your vision faded to black.

—-

“(Y/N)!” Harry gasped, as Stefan carried you into the house. “What happened to her?”

“She was hurt. Come with us,” Stefan murmured, carrying you upstairs. Harry followed, biting his lower lip. Stefan lay you down on his bed, and covered you with a blanket.

“Call for me if she wakes,” He said, turning towards the door. “I’m going to see if any of the others have any ideas.” Harry sat next to the bed, watching your pale face. After what felt like an eternity, you began to stir.

“Stefan?” You murmured, before opening your eyes.

“Love?” Harry whispered, leaning towards you.

“Harry,” You quietly said. “Are you okay?”

“I’m okay,” Harry replied. “But what about you? What happened after I left?”

“Dominic, he….he was going to kill me,” You sighed. “I haven’t been completely honest with you. I’m….I’m a vampire.”

“I know, love,” Harry murmured.

“You know? How?” You inquired, moving to sit up.

“I followed you earlier today. I was worried that your reaction to me wanting to meet your family was because they were unkind.” Harry replied.

“You heard Klaus talking about us?” You asked.

“I did. I’m sorry, love, I shouldn’t have followed you,” Harry murmured.

“You shouldn’t have. But I’m glad you’re safe.” You said.

“I’m glad you’re safe, too,” Harry said.

“Will you come here? Cuddle with me?” You inquired.

“Okay, (Y/N),” Harry replied. You lifted up the blanket, and Harry got in next to you. He wrapped his arms around you, and held you close to him. “Thank you for saving me. I love you.”

“I love you, too. I’ll always save you, Harry,” You quietly said, leaning your head against his chest. He gently rubbed your back, and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
