Thursday mornings is when we record Voltron, and it’s one of my favorite days of the week. It’s so much fun. Really, it is like my fam. They’re my Voltron family, and they’re so much fun. And so every single week has been a blast. … Certain episodes that haven’t aired yet are some of my faves, actually, for lots of character reasons for Lance, but I can’t say that, because that’d be in spoiler territory.
EXCLUSIVE: BTS Celebrate Their Biggest Album Ever and Reveal What They Love About Themselves
Welcome to BTS’ next chapter.
The K-pop boyband shocked the biggest names in music when they beat out artists like Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez for the Top Social Artist award at the Billboard Music Awards in May – but their success is no surprise.
With 8.4 million Twitter followers and a fan base so dedicated it’s referred to as ARMY, BTS is one of the hottest acts in Asia, and soon, the United States.
“There is much more recognition of BTS music than before the BBMAs,” V, one of the band’s seven members, told ET. “Which means fans have higher expectations than before. We’re trying to live up to it and I hope the new album can be the answer to that expectation.”
The new album, Love Yourself: Her, dropped on Monday and was even shattering records weeks before its release with over one million pre-orders, according to BTS’ label, BigHit Entertainment. By Tuesday, Love Yourself had already topped the iTunes Album charts at No. 1 in a record-breaking 73 countries, the largest debut release for any South Korean artists. And “DNA,” the album’s lead single, is also blowing up on YouTube with nearly 30 million views since its early Monday release.
ET caught up with V, Rap Monster, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, Suga and J-Hope on Tuesday, where they opened up about their incredible success, their fifth EP, and what’s next.
Q. Love Yourself: Her is already a huge hit around the world. Were you surprised?
Rap Monster: We’re surprised at the huge response when each album is released but it is beyond our expectation and overwhelming this time. Our new songs topped iTunes chart in 73 countries and made its debut at No. 4 on the US iTunes Song chart. “DNA” music video views surpassed 10 million in just 8 hours, which was the fastest for Korean artists ever. We are very grateful to our fans worldwide for appreciating our music and video.
Q.The music video for “DNA” is a little different from your past music videos, and includes some intense choreography – what does this mean for other music videos off this album? How long did it take to shoot the video?
J-Hope: BTS’ music videos always have intense choreography, but it was even more difficult to learn all the dance moves before the shoot. It may look different compared to previous videos due to complex use of computer graphics and edit styles for “DNA” video, but it took three full days to shoot. Everyone was great in learning the choreography, although there were many different moves we had to perform for the video. Personally, I think Jungkook and Jimin really pulled it off nicely.
Q. You collaborated with The Chainsmoker’s Andrew Taggart on the song “Best of Me” after meeting at the BBMAs. What was the collaboration process like? What did you learn from him?
Rap Monster: We first met at the BBMAs last May. [We] were invited to The Chainsmokers’ rehearsal backstage for the award show and we had fun talking about music and many things. The duo sent us several tracks after we returned home from BBMAs and we selected a couple of tracks to work together. “Best of Me” was the best for our new album in many ways so we decided to write lyrics and finish it together. The song came out great and we were all satisfied with the collaborative process. Andrew is awesome; he’s passionate about music and I think there should be more opportunities for us to work again in near future.
Q. Who’s your next big dream collaborator?
Jungkook: My biggest dream collaborator would be Justin Bieber because I just love his voice and the way he collaborates with other artists. However, I’d like to give it a try with whoever has the right chemistry with BTS musically.
Suga: I’m pretty much open to anyone who’s unique and has mutual appreciation in the music as BTS. I have some tracks and songs written for future collaboration and I’m happy to work with artists who have the right voice and taste.
Q. The song “Skit: Billboard Music Awards,” features Rap Monster’s speech from the awards show – what made you choose to incorporate that into your new album?
Rap Monster: It was one of many ideas we had for this album and we all thought that it would mean a lot to BTS and our fans if we have it permanently in the album and cherish that special moment for everyone. We’re facing the second chapter with Love Yourself: Her in terms of music and life and the BBMAs is like a new turning point for BTS in many ways.
Q.Rap Monster already revealed that Barack Obama was an inspiration for “MIC Drop” – Why? Who else were you inspired by on this album?
Suga: There are so many things that inspire us. For me, it’s people around me. And for RM, it can be books he reads. In general, what fans talk about and think about become a very important source of inspiration to us, because we want to write something that’s real to people, especially those who listen to BTS’ music.
Q. During your live stream on Monday, Rap Monster said that his favorite song is “Ocean,” but that song wasn’t released with the album. What can you tease about when the song will drop, and what it sounds like?
Rap Monster: It’s one of two hidden tracks you can listen to only on the physical album. “Ocean” has a lot of things I thought about since my debut in BTS four years ago. I have lived through many different dreams, worries and emotions in past years and I wanted to share those moments in the song. Sound-wise, there’s guitar and synth and the song is over five minutes, which is quite long. I hope people like it as one of the surprises I’ve prepared.
Q. You changed up your hair color since we last saw you – who decides when it’s time to change your look?
Jimin and J-Hope: The hair color decision is based on the concept of the new album and the timing is discussed with the whole production timeline. Each member’s opinion counts, so our stylists and creative team propose optional colors for us to choose from. But at the end of the day, they’re professionals and they know what they’re doing and in most cases, the proposed colors turn out to be the best for each member.
Q. This new album marks a new chapter in your careers after School, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life and Wings. What do you want fans to know about this new era of BTS?
Rap Monster: We tried many new things for this album and I’d like to label it as “innovative,” if I may. There will be new styled songs, new video, and many new things from now on. We want to evolve as artists and develop what we have within ourselves. If we ever slow down or even fail for our trials, it’s OK and we’ll be and stay as BTS. In addition, I’d like people to love themselves and think about what true love is while listening to the new album, because real love calls for courage to appreciate myself as is.
Q. What do each of you love about yourselves?
Jin: I love my face and how it looks, which I appreciate very much.
Jimin: I love my attitude towards work and tendency for perfection.
V: My newly discovered talent to shoot great photos.
Q. You’re wrapping up your tour this December. When will you be back performing in the U.S.?
Rap Monster: We do have plans for a world tour in 2018 so we will definitely go back to the U.S. soon and meet our fans as much as we can. If there’s any special opportunity for us any time soon, we’ll make sure to share it with you first.
You thought that when you turned 18, things would be
different. You thought that once you graduated from the orphanage, everything
would change. You thought that if you fought tooth and nail to get placed into
a team, your luck would finally turn around.
That was not the case.
Other than the sole fact that you were now in a different
environment, all else remained the same. You were merely thrown into another
fish bowl—given, it was much larger than the previous one you inhabited, but it
was no ocean. You still had so much to prove and about zero opportunities to do
Y: Katsuki and Uraraka-san were the only ones who called me Yamikumo before the blog, but I got used to you guys referring to me that way. I didn’t expect you could know my name.
Y: I… want to work on that. Ever since I was a kid, I looked up to someone who brought hope
with a smile
even in the darkest of times. It might sound silly, considering my general attitude, but it’s the kind of hero I want to become.
This story is completely fictional and all for fun!
That was the only word that could fully describe the room that just mere hours earlier had been alive with the hustle and bustle of nurses and doctors. Now, only a dimly lit lamp mounted on the wall near her hospital bed illuminated the darkened room.
At just after two in the morning, he was finally attempting to get comfortable in the leather recliner next to her bed. He knew if he woke her and asked her to scoot over, she would, but she was sleeping so soundly already that he couldn’t find it in him to disturb her. With one last sleepy-eyed glance in the direction of the newly acquired plastic, hospital bassinet, he pulled the blanket a nurse had brought him over himself and closed his eyes to get some much needed sleep.
He was almost over the edge of being completely pulled under when the sound of tiny whimpers softly reached his ears. Immediately, he was brought from the brink of sleep and back to the reality of the room he was in. Scrubbing a hand over his scruffy face, he quietly brought his chair to its original upright position and in three quick yet groggy strides found himself in front of the newest member of his family, his precious, teeny daughter.
Smoothly, he slid one of his hands behind her back and the other carefully under her dainty head and brought her to his chest. That was the moment she opened her deep blue eyes and looked up at him. In that split second, everything was calm, but not for long. The next thing he knew her little face was scrunching up preparing to let out the wail of a lifetime.
“Hey. Hey,” he whispered softly, “You’re okay, sweetheart. You’re okay. I’ve got you. Daddy’s right here.”
Recognizing his accented voice, her face began to relax again, and she peered up at him curiously. He couldn’t help but stare intently at her, trying to memorize every curve and inch of her angelic face. But all too soon, their moment was cut short by a gentle knock on the door followed by a nurse peeking her head in.
“Just checking in. Everything okay in here,” she asked quietly with a smile as she stepped inside.
“Yeah, I think I’ve got it under control,” Rob grinned sheepishly.
“Looks like your long nights have already started.”
“Guess so. I was almost out, but I heard her start to get fussy, and I didn’t want her to wake her Mummy.”
“Do you think she’s hungry or needs a change,” the nurse wondered, trying to help him out so he could get some sleep.
“I don’t think so. She just ate, and her diaper was changed shortly after that,” he replied, looking back down and seeing her scrunch up again. “Hey, hey. No, no, none of that. Let’s not cry and wake Mummy,” he chastised her tenderly.
“Would you want me to take her to the nursery, so you can get some sleep?”
For a brief second, he considered it, but quickly, he came to the conclusion he didn’t want to be away from her so soon. “Nah, we’re good. I’ll just hold her till she falls back asleep.”
“Wanna try a trick to maybe help her fall asleep faster? This always worked when my husband took the night shift with our kids,” she suggested.
“Sure, I guess,” he shrugged tiredly.
The nurse came in further and held out her hands toward him, “I’ll hold her while you take your shirt off.”
“Uhmm…what,” he eyed her suspiciously, confused. He briefly wondered if she was using this as an opportunity to ogle him and started to feel a bit awkward, blushing lightly.
She noticed his hesitation and realized immediately what he was thinking. “I promise, I’m happily married, and this is all part of the trick; not some ploy to see you shirtless.”
Gently, he placed his daughter into the nurse’s waiting hands before standing. He looked to eye her suspiciously again, but she’d turned her back to him, placing his little girl in her bassinet as she started to remove her onesie while she waited for him to get situated.
He pulled his t-shirt over his head, still feeling quite awkward, and threw it down next to the recliner. The squeak of the leather as he sat signaled he was ready for whatever she was about to show him. Turning around, he watched as she brought his daughter back to him, dressed only in her diaper that seemed to swallow her tiny body.
“Babies’ love skin to skin contact,” the nurse softly explained as she placed Eden on his chest. “It makes them feel safe and secure, as well as works as a wonderful bonding technique for parents and their newborns,” she continued, placing the blanket over the two of them.
“I didn’t realize that, and I read all the books,” he chuckled quietly.
“Well, now you know,” her eyes crinkled in the corners as she smiled. “See if that works, and I’ll be back by to check on you all in a little bit,” and with that, she tiptoed her way out of the room.
Looking down, he began to take her in again like he’d been doing before the nurse had popped in. It was still hard for him to fathom that she was real and here, lying safely on his chest. Healthy with ten fingers and ten toes. A tuft of downey, light blonde hair sitting atop her perfect little head. She looked up at him with droopy, innocent, blue eyes, and his heart melted. Though he’d loved her since first finding out about her, it was different now than it was then. Then she’d only been an idea, a concept, and he could only imagine her from how she felt through her mother’s taught skin. Often, he’d wondered where her place would be in his heart, but after she’d been born, he’d soon realized there wasn’t a specific compartment in which he loved her. Like her mother, she owned him completely like no other person in the world did. Now, he thought about how hard saying ‘no’ would be when she got older, and heaven forbid, when she started dating.
She began to wiggle in his arms, getting restless, so he brought his right hand to rest along her back, lightly running his fingers along her baby soft skin. He relished in the feeling of her against him and could detect when her movements stilled. Her breathing began to even out as he started to hum a familiar lullaby. He wanted her to get used to the sound of his voice and the beat of his heart. The hope was that, from this day forward, he would be her safe haven from all the harmful people and things in this world. A small grin crossed his lips as he thought about how sappy that was. He’d never truly been one for sap or romance until they’d come into his life. Now, it was like he couldn’t help himself, and he was more than okay with that.
Finally, it seemed she’d drifted off, and he could feel his own eyes becoming heavy as the events of the day hit him full force. He felt as exhausted as he had when he’d worked an eighteen hour day on set, and he wasn’t even the one who’d done all of the work. Welcome to fatherhood, he thought to himself before sleep encompassed him.
She startled awake around 3:30am and glanced alertedly around the room. The baby had yet to make a noise since she’d fallen asleep, and she grew concerned. A surge of panic washed over her as her eyes found the empty bassinet next to the bed. She was about to call out for Rob as she turned in his direction, but caught herself when she found him, shadowed by the light, sitting in the recliner in the corner next to her.
The sight she found made her heart soar with happiness and love for their new, little family. Reclined in the chair was a shirtless Rob, sleeping with his head lolled to one side and his mouth just barely open, and their newborn daughter resting on his bare chest. Both covered by a blanket and snoring lightly after the days exciting yet draining events.
She couldn’t help but stare at them. Fondly, she remembered back to when she’d told him she was pregnant. The tears of joy and the utter happiness he’d radiated told her all she needed to know: he was going to be the best daddy. Now watching the two of them sleep, snuggled up together just mere hours after officially becoming parents, her conclusion had only been reaffirmed. Reaching over to the bedside table, she unhooked her charging phone and opened the camera, wanting to capture this first moment before it was gone. Quietly, she snapped the photo before checking to make sure it turned out okay. Grinning as she studied the screen, she knew that image was going to be in their home for many years to come.

this whole despacito coming to steal one sweet day’s record for most weeks at number one thing is getting worse by the second. we need to call in the dark forces @taylorswift time for you to drop a single out of the sky
Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop phenomena: a superstar who managed to completely cross over from country to the mainstream.
Other singers performed similar moves – notably, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson both became enduring mainstream icons based on their ‘70s work – but Swift shed her country roots like they were a second skin; it was a necessary molting to reveal she was perhaps the sharpest, savviest populist singer/songwriter of her generation, one who could harness the Zeitgeist and turn it personal and, just as impressively, perform the reverse. These skills were evident on her earliest hits, especially the neo-tribute “Tim McGraw,” but her second album, 2008’s Fearless, showcased a songwriter discovering who she was and, in the process, finding a mass audience. Fearless wound up having considerable legs not only in the U.S., where it racked up six platinum singles on the strength of the Top Ten hits “Love Story” and “You Belong with Me,” but throughout the world, performing particularly well in the U.K., Canada, and Australia. Speak Now, delivered almost two years later in the autumn of 2010, consolidated that success and Swift moved into the stratosphere of superstardom, with her popularity only increasing on 2012’s Red and 2014’s 1989, a pair of records that found her moving assuredly from country into a pop realm where she already belonged.
This sense of confidence had been apparent in Taylor Swift since the beginning. The daughter of two bankers – her father, Scott Kingsley Swift, worked at Merrill Lynch; her mother Andrea spent time as a mutual fund marketing executive – Swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania and raised in suburban Wyomissing. She began to show interest in music at the age of nine, and Shania Twainwound up as her biggest formative influence. Swift started to work regularly at local talent contests, eventually winning a chance to open for Charlie Daniels. Soon, she learned how to play guitar and began writing songs, signing a music management deal with Dan Dymtrow; her family relocated to Nashville with the intent of furthering her music career. She was just 14 years old but on the radar of the music industry, signing a development deal with RCA Records in 2004. Swift sharpened her skills with a variety of professional songwriters, forming the strongest connections with Liz Rose. Taylor’s original songs earned her a deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, but not long after that 2004 deal she parted ways with Dymtrow and RCA, all with the intent of launching her recording career now, not later.
Things started moving swiftly once Swift came to the attention of Scott Borchetta, a former DreamWorks Records exec about to launchBig Machine Records. Borchetta saw Swift perform at a songwriters showcase at the Bluebird Cafe and he signed her to Big Machine in 2005; shortly afterward, she started work on her debut with producer Nathan Chapman, who’d previously helmed demos for Taylor. Boasting original song credits on every one of the record’s 11 songs (she penned three on her own), Taylor Swift appeared in October 2006 to strong reviews and Swift made sure to work the album hard, appearing at every radio or television event offered and marshaling a burgeoning fan base through use of MySpace. “Tim McGraw,” the first song from the album, did well but “Teardrops on My Guitar” and “Our Song” did better on both the pop and country charts, where she racked up five consecutive Top Ten singles. Other successes followed in the wake of the debut – a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist (she lost to Amy Winehouse), stopgap EPs of Christmas songs – but Swift concentrated on delivering her sophomore set, Fearless.
Appearing in November 2008, Fearless was certified gold by the RIAA in its first week of release, and the record gained momentum throughout 2009, earning several platinum certifications as “Love Story,” “White Horse,” “You Belong with Me,” “Fifteen,” and “Fearless” all scaled the upper reaches of the country charts while “You Belong with Me” nearly topped Billboard’s Top 100. Along with the success came some headlines, first in the form of an infamous appearance at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards where her acceptance speech was interrupted by Kanye West, who burst on-stage to declare that Swift’s rival Beyoncé deserved the award more, but her romances also started gaining attention, notably a liaison with Twilight star Taylor Lautner, who appeared with the singer in the 2009 film Valentine’s Day.
Her flirtation with the silver screen proved brief, as she then poured herself into her third album, Speak Now. Released in October 2010, Speak Now was another massive first-week smash that refused to lose momentum. Hit singles like “Mine” and “Mean,” which won two Grammys, played a big factor in its success not just on the country charts but on pop radio as well. Following a 2011 live album called World Tour Live: Speak Now, Swift turned toward following a pop path on her fourth album, hiring such mainstream musicians as Dan Wilson, Butch Walker, and Britney Spears producer Max Martin. This mainstream pulse was evident on “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” the first single from Red. Upon its October 2012 release, Red shattered expectations by selling over a million copies in its first week, a notable achievement that was doubly impressive in an era of declining sales. Once again, Swift’s album had legs: it was certified platinum four times in the U.S. and its international sales outstripped those of Speak Now. She supported Red with an international tour in 2013 and more hits came, including “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “22.”
As Swift geared up for the release of her fifth album in 2014, she made it clear that 1989 was designed as her first “documented, official” pop album and that there would be no country marketing push for the record. “Shake It Off,” an ebullient dance-pop throwback, hit number one upon its August 2014 release. When 1989 appeared in late October 2014, it once again shot to number one and became her third straight to sell one million copies in its first week (a new record for any artist).
Swift gathered many awards during the subsequent year, including Billboard’s Woman of the Year, the Award for Excellence at the American Music Awards, and a special 50th Anniversary Milestone Award from the CMAs. Her 1989 World Tour crossed Asia, North America, and Europe during the last half of 2015, and she won three Grammy Awards at the 2016 ceremonies, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Music Video for “Bad Blood.” At the end of 2016, she released “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” a duet with ZAYN from the soundtrack for Fifty Shades Darker. The single reached the Top Five across the world. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
EXO reacting to being in love with you but you’re both in relationships
DISCLAIMER: some of these imagines don’t involve the boys in relationships just a few of them. ALSO idk anything about love so if this is lame thats why lmao
Suho: It’s been a year since he met you at that reunion with his friends. One of your closest friends kept talking about how his girlfriend was the best thing that could have ever happen to him. That day of the reunion at Suho’s friend the universe decided that it was time for the both of you to meet. Suho was serving himself a drink in the kitchen when you walked in to grab a bottle of wine. As soon as he laid eyes on you he felt a cold shiver run down his spine. You looked like a dream for him, you always did since that day. “Hurry up, Junmyeon! the karaoke is about to start” you smiled at him as you walked out of the kitchen with the bottle of wine in your hands “Y-yeah, I’m coming” he replied. You were in his mind at all times since that day, but it hurt him to see you with one of his closest friends. Every time there were reunions he would feel a pain in his chest for liking you so much…no this was not just liking someone…this was love. He was madly in love with you. Little did he know that the feeling was mutual.
Lay: Traveling was part of his job and damn he was a workaholic. In one of his recent visits to Korea he met with the entire production team that was working with him for his new solo album. You were on board for working with Lay since day one, but you barely met him that day at the production team meeting. “Lay, this is Y/N she’s our editor for the music video” his manager introduced you both and you were so excited to meet him. You kept talking about how great he was and how much you admired him since the beginning. You and Lay became really close during the making of his album. Sometimes you hung up with him after work, usually went to buy coffee. You had so much in common but at the same time you were so different. “So…do you have a boyfriend?” Lay asked one of those days as he drove you home like the gentleman he was “I do, but he lives in the US at the moment” you answered with a shy smile on your face while Lay’s chest started aching. “Ah, he’s very lucky. I bet he loves you a lot” He said trying to hide the pain he felt. He barely knew you but he couldn’t help feeling this way for you. And you were also feeling the same for him.
Xiumin: He’d been hiding his relationship with a classmate from his university. Not even SM or the media knew, he was really good at keeping everything in secret. He had been dating this girl for roughly five months and one day they decided to have a casual date at their favorite coffee shop. Him and his girlfriend got closer to the counter and he started ordering. “Hello welcome what can I get…you?” you started working there two weeks ago and Xiumin was by far the most handsome man you could have ever seen in the shop. You looked at his face scanning the menu that was hanging from the ceiling in the back of the counter, when he looked at you to order he held his breath for a second. Ever since that day he couldn’t forget your face, or your voice. He loved his girlfriend and he felt bad for thinking about you for a month. He would visit the coffee shop on his own and the both of you had little conversations until you became good friends. One day you finished your shift and your boyfriend showed up to pick you up. Xiumin remembers seeing you smiling and kissing your boyfriend’s cheek after work. He hated this, he hated being in love with someone that was taken, just like you did.
Baekhyun: You were really good friends with Suho and one day you decided to go visit him at his new dorm. When you knocked on the door Baekhyun was the one that opened. You were so shocked at first because you’d never seen him in person, only on TV or on pictures or on EXO’s music videos. Now he was standing in front of you with a big smile plastered on his face. “Come in! You must be Suho’s friend…Y/N?” he asked you letting you in “You’re much prettier in person” he said scratching the back of his head a little embarrassed, he even looked away shyly for a little bit. Suho went to get groceries with Sehun because they were going to make a special dinner for you, so it took them a while to come back. Ever since that day you and Baekhyun became best friends. You both were dating other people at the time but also you two would have coffee dates just to talk about all the dumb shit your boyfriend and his girlfriend did to make you angry. One day you both were having lunch after he finished practicing and when the waitress brought you the ticket she said you made a great couple because you were always laughing. “Umm…thank you but…we’re not a couple ma’am” Baekhyun said hiding his sadness behind that pretty smile of his. You felt your heart ache because you loved him so much it was crazy. He paid for your food and the both of you went home. He felt frustrated because he couldn’t say how much he loved you because he knew you loved your boyfriend so much and saw how happy you were with him. It just sucked.
Chanyeol: “Look I made a new song” Chanyeol sent you another link for a sound could recording. It was the third one this week. Honestly you really liked listening to his songs and you really liked his voice. There was something special about this new song he made, he sang with so much passion it made you shiver. “There is a hidden message in it…I hope you can figure it out” he wrote as a new text but hesitated on sending it to you but before he pressed sent you sent a message back “I loved it, I can’t wait to show it to my bf he’s gonna love it! He really likes your songs” Chanyeol smiled for himself. It was a sad smile because you were always the first person to ever listen to his new songs before anyone else, your friendship was also one of the most valuable things he could have ever had, he just treasured you. You met your current bf because of him one day you went to a dinner with some friends of his, you and one of his friends hit it off instantly and he was happy for the both of you but also he felt sad overtime you talked about your bf or when he talked about you in front of him. He wanted to be your source of happiness. He really loved everything about you.
Chen: The both of you met at school one day that you had to prepare a group project. You were friends with Chen’s girlfriend since you were in high school and the day you met Chen it was like meeting an actual prince. It was sad for you because you were already dating someone else and you just felt bad for liking your friends boyfriend so much. You and Chen sat together in class all the time and you always had a fun time with him. Chen would help you out with your studying and you would help him by giving him the notes of the class whenever he had a schedule with EXO. Being a celebrity and a full time student was very hard for Chen but somehow he managed to survive through everything thanks to you. Besides being classmates you were also really good friends, and whenever Chen or you had arguments with your partners you would vent out to each other, which always ended up in laughs. “You know…sometimes I wish you were my girlfriend” Chen said one day you were walking out of your class. One day while lying in bed he realized he really liked you and the thought of you being with that other guy made him so frustrated.
D.O: You and Kyungsoo met on the set of a movie. You were the scriptwriters assistant and you helped Kyungsoo to rehearse for his scenes. You were around the same age so he felt really comfortable being with you. His usual seriousness would go away whenever he was with you and even his tone of voice would change while you talked about how the filming and your lives were going. He loved to see you smile and the sound of your laugh was the his favorite sound ever. The day he found out you were dating someone he felt he’d lost all hope. Your friendship with him was still as strong as always, but whenever you mentioned your boyfriend Kyungsoo would go stiff and uninterested. “I swear…the other day I told him he should be more like you” you told Kyungsoo one day you were having lunch after filming, he felt the urge to tell you to leave him and ask you out but he didn’t. He started dating his co-star, hoping this would make him think about something else that wasn’t you. He really loved you, and you loved him too none of you ever said anything it was frustrating as hell.
Kai: You had been a trainee in SM for two years already. You were preparing for your debut with the rest of the other girls of your group. You and Kai knew each other and you had been practicing for a special dance stage for SMtown. They were really happy. Kai really liked you and you liked him a lot as well, sometimes you joked around saying you were going to marry in the future, but this was just a joke. Kai was dating Krystal again, after going through so much hardships they finally managed to make their relationship work for a good year. On the other hand you and Taeyong from NCT started dating in secret. Kai was in the SM cafe with Kyungsoo one day when he saw Taeyong and you sitting at a table having coffee after practice one night. He saw how happy you were with him and he suddenly felt a weird feeling in his chest. He was jealous, he always thought you were really beautiful and talented and he just liked your personality so much it was driving him crazy to see you with someone else that wasn’t him, he loved everything about you. He was confused, he didn’t know if you liked him back and he was also with Krystal and he “loved” her. But ever since he got closer to you after being chosen for that dance stage everything changed. “Is this how love actually feels?”
Sehun: You and Sehun met at a restaurant. Casually you were friends with the same guy that ran the restaurant and one day he invited the both of you to have dinner together with him at his restaurant, more people were invited as well. You arrived with your boyfriend at the time and Sehun had been in a relationship for at least two months with a girl he knew from high school. When he first saw you he felt the earth moving under his feet. You can say it was like love at first sight. The only problem was that you were both in relationships at the time, you liked Sehun just as soon as you laid eyes on him and you thought he was something else. You became Sehun’s platonic love and he became yours. You kept hanging out with him and your chef friend, the more Sehun knew about you the more he liked you. “How long have you been with your boyfriend?” he asked you one day he offered to take you home after leaving your friend’s restaurant. You had been dating your boyfriend for almost 2 years but you felt your relationship was going nowhere, and so did Sehun about his even though he had less time dating his girlfriend. The next thing you heard from him was that he broke up with his girlfriend. He decided to wait for you. Even if you didn’t break up with your boyfriend, he would still be waiting for you, because that’s how much he loved and wanted to be with you.
How would the bros handle a heatwave in Insomnia with an s/o that hates the heat? I'm stuck in the middle of a heatwave and I want to die. It's awful.
I’m so sorry you’re suffering, from the heat sweetie! I’m a person who is always cold, so when heatwaves happen I’m like the only person who’s like ‘This is fine.’ Hope this helps to cool you off! ☆*~ﾟ⌒(‘-‘*)⌒ﾟ~*☆
Good morning Insomnia! We’ve got another scorcher today! With temperatures reaching to 100 degrees, that’s 37 in celsius for our scientist friends. This is going to go down in the record books as one of the hottest weeks of the year. So be sure to keep yourself hydrated and stay cool!
“Noctis, get off me you’re heavy.” You moaned.
“Shhh, comfy.” Noctis replied.
You couldn’t complain, you could have a boyfriend trying to fuse with you by laying directly on top of you, blanketing you with his body and a rather comfy blanket, in the horrid heated of the day without the best A/C money could buy. Yet lucky Noct could afford it.
Insomnia was just a walking heated death trap.
Both Noctis and yourself had originally thought about stepping out to go get some slushies. Yet the chilliness of your shared apartment had fooled you both! Opening the door, the two of you were hit by a wave of heat, and Noctis slammed the door shut with a firm:
“Nope, not doing that.”
Before the Prince all but tossed you to the couch, then moved to the wall mount thermostat lowering it well below chilly. As you had developed goosebumps on your skin, before the Prince joined you on the couch with a blanket for a cuddle fest of epic proportions.
Now you weren’t certain if you’d freeze to death, or should risk the chance of getting up and trying to thaw outside without fear being burnt to a crisp.
“Do we have any food in the house?”
“We’re going to have to go out to get dinner.”
“I’ll send, Specs.”
You tapped the black blue locks currently resting on your chest, “We are not going to make, Ignis come out in this!”
Noctis turned those beautiful sapphires to you, “But he could make us slushies.”
Damn he was right.
You must have been the biggest idiot on the face of Eos! You weren’t certain of what stupid idea demanded for you to go out and get popsicles at the convenience store down the street, but you did it!
Now you were a sticky, more than likely smelly mess, and your popsicles were more than likely juice at this point. Stepping into your apartment, you couldn’t think of nothing better than taking a nice shower, and then lay down to do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day!
It was too hot to do anything!
Yet as you pushed the door to the apartment open, you could only stare in confusion, as everything within the living room was wrapped in cling wrap and all the electronics were missing! Holy Hell, were you robbed? Where was Prompto!?
“Promp-AH!” You were suddenly rewarded with a stream of water hitting you square in the face. Wiping your face, you stared at your boyfriend, posing away with a big dopey grin on his face.
A large super soaker slung over his shoulder,“You got 5 minutes to put that stuff in the fridge and get locked and loaded! The entire front room is the battlefield, you’ll find ammo all over. Last one standing is the winner.”
A smirk crossed you face, as you quickly dashed into the kitchen, find yourself 2 super soakers and 4 hand pistols. Throwing the entire bag in the freezer, you dashed back out onto the battlefield.
It was shrieking mess, Prompto had the smart idea to load each gun with ice, so the ammo seemed almost unlimited, and freezing. The two of you bounced over furniture, playfully throwing insults to each other.
“Sorry, that butt was too cute and big to not hit.”
“Surrender, and i’ll only demand 100 kisses, instead of 100 and 1.”
It was almost an hour later, before the two of you were down to your final shots. Standing in the middle of the living room, both of you holding a water pistol to the other, as you tried to keep a straight face.
“So this is it, any last words, Prompto?” You called.
“Only that you’re going down.” Prompto smirked.
You both waited, for the other to make the move. Only for Prompto to shoot first, you dodged, before rushing forward, holding your water pistol to his side.
“Nothing personal Prompto.” You cooed, before unloading your final shot into his already soaking wet shirt.
Prompto gave an over dramatic gasp, as he fell to his back, splayed across the floor, giving a pathetic cough, “Should I have any regrets, it’s only this…”
You leaned forward, awaiting, his dramatic desperate pleas, “And what would that be?”
“Nothing personal!” He turned your own words against you as he pulled a small water pistol from his side, squiting you in the chest.
You gave a gasp, before falling dramatically to the floor, laying half on top of him, “You were a worthy opponent.”
“As were you.”
You both dissolved into giggles, as you laid on the floor, the heat completely forgotten about. Yet now you faced a different problem.
“How are we going to clean this up?”
“Don’t touch me!”
Gladiolus groaned, all he wanted to do was cuddle with his beautiful Babe, but Babe was being a butt! “Come on,babe.”
“Ugh, just wait until it cools down.” You moaned, fanning yourself.
Both of you had just came back from your morning jog, the sun had barely rose and it was already beyond hot.
“A little heat never hurt anyone.”
“You passed out!” You barked, only to lay back on the hardwood floor to calm yourself, as the heat just sapped your energy, and it was taking forever for the central air to kick in, before you felt you would melt into the floor.
“For like 5 minutes.” Gladiolus argued back, moving to pull you into himself, only for you to roll away. “Babe!”
“Ugh, Gladdy baby, you know I want nothing more than to cuddle but, just give me like 5 minutes to cool the hell down.” You whined, only to watch him stand up and disappearing out of your view on the living room floor. More than likely to pout, the big baby.
After you revived Gladiolus and forced him back home, despite the man stating he could finish the lap, you both took an ice cold shower, waiting for the A/C to kick in. Neither of you bothering to put on clothes as it was too much effort at this point.
Closing your eyes, you had just begun to feel the coolness of the A/C starting to kick in. Than you could go get your pouting boyfriend, and cuddle away all of his pouts.
“Glad…HOLY SHIVA!” You shrieked, as an icy chill was tossed down your bare back. Hearing clicks, as you rolled over to stare at your boyfriend holding a large mixing bowl, before noticing the huge smirk. Looking around you, you saw a bunch of ice cubes littering the floor.
“Cool enough now, Babe?”
You watched fascinated, even in all this heat, your handsome Ignis didn’t seem the less bit unruffled or displaced. The only difference was that instead of those beautiful form fitting dress shirts, he was now wearing a breathable t-shirt that hugged all the right curves on the man. Down those strong pecs, the short sleeves hugging those strong biceps, so tight against his back…
“My darling, it is almost finished, can you please retrieve the sundae glasses?”
You blinked, almost not hearing the request as you were checking out the man before you. Within his element of the kitchen it just seemed to add to the allure that was Ignis. It wasn’t like he was even bothered by the heat, could Ignis even sweat?
Yet then again, Ignis always seemed to keep the house at the perfect temperature for you to walk around without the need of sock or houseshoes.
“Here you go, Iggy.” You called, setting the glasses down beside him. Unable to stop your arms from wrapping around the man’s waist, burying yourself into his side. Smiling as he pulled his arm from your hold, to wrap around your shoulders returning the embrace.
“Perhaps I should make you ice cream more often if you’re going to be this affectionate.” Ignis chuckled.
“It’s not the main reason.” You replied, watching him single handedly scoop the ice cream into the two dishes, being certain to give you the larger amount.
“Only the best for you, my love.” He replied, pressing a kiss to your temple, moving you both to the couch, still within each other’s embrace to enjoy your frozen treats.
The artist who is really leaving an impact in 2017 Billboard Awards is BTS.. I mean before the boys got nominated a lot of people didn’t know who they even were.
They’ve already broken chart records AND scored third-most weeks at no. 1 on social 50 chart. They’ve already passed miley cyrus and rihanna. They’ve stayed at 22 weeks.. they broke one directions record. ONE DIRECTION!!
This is HUGE news and not just to kpop but also the music industry altogether. Our boys have broken records because of their talents and yet us army’s are getting told off for cheating on the voting?
Okay the people saying and thinking that, listen here and listen good. Like are you guys serious right now? Just stop with saying that to our fandom.
if you think about it, America is all about the music and celebrities. They do all the massive award shows, they have big artists like Justin Bieber and Beyonce. to a lot of the countries that’s their music world (not talking about army fans, love you guys!) anyway..What I’m trying to say is that, the fact that a kpop group got noticed and nominated for an award that is HUGE in america.
The reason a lot of other people are annoyed at us armys and the boys, is because a group that isn’t american or English at that matter is beating really famous English artists. BTS is getting noticed and its not an artist or group that speaks English. I’m not hating on people, but I’ve actually had someone talk to me about all of this and it just triggered me into doing a long rant on the discussion.
Other countries are finding out what kpop is, It’s different to anything else in the music industry and so yeah it’s gonna leave an impact and surprise a lot of people. BTS are talented, hard working young men and they deserve to win that award and continue getting recognition.
Us fans DID NOT cheat, we typed and voted away to our hearts content. We’re loyal and dedicated fans to BTS, we wanna see them happy, at their best and winning all they can.
I’m not saying that their the most dominating artist of the year. BUT keep in mind, they are the artist group a lot of people are talking about and now listening to.
I think it’s time to accept that DR Music doesn’t want Alex to be in BP Rania
“They are obviously trying to get her out of the group by making the experience so awful for her that she’d leave on her own instead of just biting the bullet and firing her”
I mean, from the beginning it was clear that they hired Alex because she was a non-Asian foreigner and they wanted to exploit that because international fans love seeing themselves in k-pop. That’s typical and has honestly been a center-piece of the company’s rudimentary promotional skills from Rania’s inception. And Rania is a group that has more ex-members (who’ve left precisely because the company ain’t shit) than it has members. So it shouldn’t be surprising that the company would hire a black girl and use her blackness and foreign-ness to get attention without caring at all about her actually being an integrated member of the group. But I’m still kinda shocked at how horrible this company is.
A/N: wow, this got very long very quickly. i got inspired by Charlie Puth’s “Losing My Mind” and started writing. hope you enjoy, feedback is always appreciated ! :) gif credits to the owners xx (is anyone else like maybe too enthusiastically waiting for theo to appear in season 6 ??)
warnings: mentions of blood, sad theo, one curse word (not proof read this was so long i had no motivation to read it again)
so much to do do and not enough time not enough time, oh I got so much to lose, I’m losing my mind
I’m sorry I’m not there to give you what you want I’ll think about us some other time and I’m sorry that I can’t be the perfect type of man I’ll think about us some other time
One second you were blocking the creature’s blows with the baseball bat loaned from Stiles. Then, out of nowhere, you could feel a sharp pain on your side. Touching the wound, you collapsed backwards, ending up leaning on a thick concrete post, clutching your side. As you were trying to stay conscious, you could see Theo turning to you, screaming your name.
When Theo saw you collapsing from the other side of the room, a wave of anger gave him just the advance he needed to knock out his enemy. Seeing Scott and the rest of the pack fighting, he rushed to you, thinking they could handle them without him.
Crouching down beside you, he took off his jacket, pressing it tightly on your wound. “You’re gonna be okay, Y/N. You’re gonna be okay,” he said hurriedly, trying to reassure you - or, mostly himself. He couldn’t lose you; you were his everything, the one good thing in his life. How he had allowed this to happen ? He should’ve been protecting you ! Too much to do, too much to fight in so many war fronts, at the same time trying to keep you safe, trying to keep you out of it all.
Still being able to stay awake, you could see the mixture of worry and anger on Theo’s face and knew that he was blaming himself - beating himself in his mind till he lost all his self-confidence. Lifting your now bloody hand on his cheek, you stroked the light stubble with your thumb.
“Theo, it’s not your fault. Stop blaming yourself,” you said weakly, already losing a great amount of blood. “I’ll be okay, don’t worry. You won’t get rid of me that easily,” you said, trying to light up the mood and smiled weakly.
“You’ll be okay, babygirl, I know. You’re so strong, stronger than I’ll ever be.” Theo was able to smile back at you, placing his hand on top of yours on his cheek, still pressing his jacket against your wound with his other one. “Hate to break the moment, but we have to get you to the hospital,” Theo said, looking behind his back. Seeing the pack handle the rest of the creatures, Scott made his way towards you two.
Theo sprung into action, picking you up gently. He quickly told Scott you had to be taken to the hospital and started to make his way to his truck. Making your position as comfortable as possible on the passenger’s side, he rounded the car, got in and drove to the hospital, the rest of the pack following behind him.

Laying on the hospital bed, hooked on the IV, you could feel the light aching on your left side. According to Melissa, you hadn’t lost too much blood, and the weapon had barely avoided any vital organs. Melissa had fussed around and forced everyone, including Theo, out of your room to let you sleep for a few hours.
Now that you were awake, you missed company. As if on cue, you heard the door open and saw Theo emerge from the hallway.
“Hey,” you smiled at him, feeling a much better after sleeping.
“Hi,” he whispered, sitting on the chair beside your bed. He took your colder hand in his warm, bigger one, holding onto it like his life depended on it. You could see the sadness in his eyes and maybe hints of crying in them, too. Confused, you asked him, “What’s wrong ?”
In silence, Theo casted his eyes down, trying to hold the tears that were threatening to escape his eyes once again.
“I’m just … I almost lost you, Y/N. Again,” he said quietly. It was becoming harder and harder not to cry - which he hated doing, especially in front of you. He was supposed to be this strong alpha, but apparently had failed to be strong and a proper alpha. Kissing your hand, he continued, “I-I can’t lose you. I really can’t. You’re my whole life, and that means you’re all that I got. And that means I have so much to lose, which is making me lose my mind. I can’t help thinking, how I would survive without you. But the same time, how could you ever love me ? I’m not perfect for you, I’m not always there to give you what you want, and I sometimes put things before you, which I shouldn’t ever do and-“ he was cut by the need of oxygen. He was now silently crying, taking in deep, slow breaths.
You hated to see him in this state. You understood he had so much pressure on him for being the alpha, but you wouldn’t ever imagine not loving him - although he wasn’t perfect, but for you, he was enough. Getting into a sitting position, you put your free hand on his cheek reassuringly. “Hey, hey … you’re not losing me. Not now, not ever, as long as I’m concerned. I love you, and you’re enough for me just the way you are - don’t you ever dare to think otherwise. You don’t ever have to doubt my love for you, Theo Raeken.”
Theo lifted his head, looking into your eyes. Trying to find any hint of doubt in them, but found none. In a loss of words, he lifted himself from the chair enough to kiss you. Passionately pressing his lips to yours, you could feel all of it - the desperation, the need, the love. Caressing your cheek, Theo kept deepening the kiss, until he had to break it to catch his breath.
“I would say that I don’t deserve you,” he said, but before you could cut him off by denying it, he continued, “but I won’t, because it would lead into another argument. So, I’m just gonna say, I love you so fucking much, Y/N Y/L/N,” he finished, connecting your lips into another deep, passionate kiss, which got heated very quickly.
Breaking from the kiss, you placed your both hans to his cheeks. “I love you too. And now, could you get me out of here ? I want to go home and sleep for years. With you cuddling up beside me, of course,” you smiled. Smiling, he pecked you once more.
“Yeah, anything for you, princess. I will go and seduce Melissa with my charms to give you a permission to leave,” he said and went for the door. Before he could exit the room, you said with your eyebrows raised, “I would prefer if you didn’t literally seduce her - because ugh, she’s Scott’s mother, after all.”
Sending his signature smirk to you, he left the room.
Swift seems to be the remedy the music industry needed to crack the dudes-only charts trend. “Look” this week also broke another gender-related record: the highest ever streams in one week for a song by a female artist. And with Swift’s newest single Reputation song release “…Ready for It?” already picking up steam, the star could well be joining herself in the top 10, upping the growing tally of female artists on the Hot 100’s top tier even further. To borrow a phrase from the chart-topping star’s latest, “let the games begin.”
Billboard Article about Women like Taylor returning and dominating the charts
What was it like to work with Bernardo Bertolucci on a film as epic and ambitious as The Last Emperor?
I first met Bernardo at Cannes when I was there for Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. Oshima introduced me to him at a party, and he was talking on and on about this movie he was producing, which was The Last Emperor. Then, after some years, I got a phone call. Then a script was sent to me, and I was told to go to China immediately … but as an actor. When I read the script I saw that my character, Amakasu, commits hara-kiri. That didn’t sit well with me. It was symbolic of this traditionalist Japanese stereotype that I don’t really like. It was kind of inconceivable for someone [as modern as] him at the time to commit suicide by seppuku. I thought it wasn’t right for the film, which was trying to be a historical tale. Amakasu is a fascinating character because, although he’s a fascistic military person well-known for killing anarchists, he lives in Paris before going to Manchukuo. Also, in the film, his office is decorated with a very futurist and modernist design. I was able to talk this through and finally convince Bernardo to change the sword to a gun.
During the shooting, there were a lot of Chinese-American actors, coming from California mainly, but they were working inside the actual Forbidden City. They had these traditional Chinese hairstyles, these long queues, and this hairstyle was so strange for someone to have after the revolution in Chinese society. So the Chinese people thought they looked like ghosts from the old world and really hated watching those guys walk around in the palace. It was so funny.
When shooting was done in China, we did interior shooting at Cinecittà. I saw Marcello Mastroianni there, walking in the yard with a cigar—it was unreal. After shooting was done and a few months passed, I got a phone call from the producer about doing the music for the film.
You hadn’t planned on that originally?
No. I said, “Well, how long do I have?” And he said one week. One week for this giant, epic film! I asked for two weeks. Of course I was complaining, but one time Bertolucci had said, “Well, Ennio Morricone did it,” so I had to do it. I wrote forty-five music cues in one week. I found Chinese musicians around Tokyo and recorded them and then I brought everything to London. Just after arriving, I played the music for Bertolucci, the editor, and some other Italian crew members. I played a piece called “Rain” and they started holding each other and crying “Bellissimo! Bellissimo! Molto bellissimo!” This is the pleasure of working with Italian people. That is the reason I can’t stop working with people like Bertolucci.
I imagine the process changes from director to director, but do you enjoy immersing yourself in someone else’s creative universe when scoring a film?
To me, it’s always a struggle to work on film music because each filmmaker is very different and it’s almost impossible to satisfy someone completely by writing music. But I keep coming back because, as when I worked with the Italians, it can be the ultimate pleasure. It’s also good for me and for my music because it forces me to learn new things, like North African music for The Sheltering Sky, Chinese music for The Last Emperor, or Celtic music for Wuthering Heights. Each time is like a little journey into an unknown culture.
