Oh, and if you don’t know about Onani Master Kurosawa (Masturbation Master Kurosawa), I feel sorry for you. It’s not a manga per se, but it’s a doujinshi and YOKO was the artist. Anyways, the story is about a guy who goes to the girl’s toilet and masturbates but got caught by a girl who was being bullied. Very epic.
I just finished reading this manga for the second time and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it. Onani Master Kurosawa is probably one of the most inspiring mangas I’ve come across.
I admit, I was skeptical when I read the plot. I mean, it says on the description that it’s all about a guy who masturbates in the girl’s washroom at school. Still, I’d heard a lot of good things about it so I gave it a chance.
I am so glad I did.
This manga made me feel such a spectrum of emotions as I went through it. I hated the bullies, I pitied Kitahara, I was touched by Nagaoka’s friendliness, everything. Most of all, I felt that I could change for the better after reading the ending. When I think of it, I can kind of identify with Kurosawa in some ways. I sometimes find myself having that “Yeah, I’m aloof and I don’t many friends, but I’m still way better than those losers” way of thinking as a defense mechanism of some sort, trying to convince myself it was something I decided for myself. But seeing the character development he went through, I want to change and open up more to people.
This manga inspired me to become a greater person, so I recommend this to everyone. Please don’t ignore it just because ‘ewww masturbating that’s gross’ because this is truly a heartwarming story, more so than about 80% of those romance flicks they show in cinemas.
