Yuri!!! On Ice’s Makkachin Tissue Case Heads to Real-Life Rinks

The official Twitter account for the Yuri!!! on Ice television anime announced on Sunday (November 27, 2016) that Victor’s dog-shaped tissue case is heading to the real world. In the anime, figure skater Victor appears rink-side with a brown tissue box case inspired by his own poodle named Makkachin.

The real Makkachin tissue cases will be made of fluffy “poodle boa” fabric and retail for 3,400 yen (about US$30). Avex Pictures plans to release the canine cases at the end of January. The anime’s Twitter will unveil a sample case and more details in the future.

THE QUALITIES I WISH TO INHERIT FROM MY MOTHER:

i.) Her smile. The imperfect crooks and snaggleteeth that always meant I was off the hook. It was the first thing I looked for every time I made her mad and I never failed to find it. And it was the best form of comfort a ten year old could ever ask for. If I could have it for the rest of my life, I wouldn’t forget how to forgive myself.

ii.) The calluses on the rough side of her hands. Impervious to the fires she cooks over, I wonder how many meals it took before she grew used to the heat. I can barely touch microwaved Pyrex but she can mold hearths out of flames. Turn any morsel into love. Leave no tough situation without hope.

iii.) Her spine. God knows how many times the universe has tried to knock her down. Undo evolution and direct her head towards the ground. But every time it came around she built herself back up again. Like reconstructing toothpicks into a tower, she was careful to give herself a stronger backbone no matter how long it took and how many times she would have to do it again.

iv.) The seasons in her eyes. Only she can call upon the heavens to bring hurricanes and rainbows into our home all at once. There is nothing more versatile than the emotions she reveals in those glass windows. No wonder why we call her Mother Nature.

v.) Her spirit. I have seen her body broken. I have watched my father tear at her limbs. I have listened to her curse the world she was born into. I have held her as she let the blood of her family run through her fists. And not once has she given up her will to survive.

vi.) The love that has raised me. It is both tender and fierce– a characterization of who she is. A relentless promise to watch me turn out alright. A million sacrifices that I can never repay. An infinite expanse of time that she has invested in my being. A soul she crafted with her own two hands. I can only wish that my love can be as honest and unselfish as hers.

Draco’s POV

*Sunday, almost dawn, 5:05 AM*

I can’t sleep.

It’s impossible to sleep while she lingers in my head. Y/N was her name. That beautiful name.

I dreamt about her on the train going to Hogwarts and I couldn’t stop thinking about her since.

In my mind, she was lying by my side with her hands in between her thighs.

Ugh, what am I thinking?! She’s not real!

7 hours and 45 minutes is how long I have been thinking about her.

What if she is real? Would she like me? Would we have a future together? Would my parents adore her like I do?

There is no way she would exist. Good things only happen when you’re dreaming.

Not a shy of her spark. A knife twists at the thought that I should fall short of her mark.

I was frightened by the bite that she gave. No harsher than the bark. She gave me this new perspective on the world. I started to open my eyes on things I normally wouldn’t care about.

If only she existed…

*Sunday morning, 7:30 AM*

“Draco you weren’t at breakfast. Are you okay?” Pansy asked me. I don’t like her that much since she pretty much stalks me and is crazy in love with me.

“Y-Yeah… I’m fine.” I said back.

“Oh well, I brought some food for you. I had a feeling you wouldn’t go to breakfast so I brought you some.”

“T-Thanks.” I grabbed the plate and quietly ate my food.

“You know, if you ever need someone to talk too then I-I’m here.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” Then she walked off.

My mind hasn’t been the same ever since I met Y/N in my sleep. Before I wake up, she normally says ‘Goodbye’ or ‘See you later’… what does it mean? Is it weird that I can see her whole body clearly? Nothing is blurred out.

She looks like a slytherin princess walking in the woods or halls with her mind cleared. Her hair that moves nicely when she twirls around or when the wind hits her.

“Draco! Draco! C’mon man talk to us!” Crabbe yelled at me putting me back to reality.

“What now Crabbe?!”

“Goyle wants to know…. Well… we want to know how you’re feeling. You hardly ever talk to us and bully Harry.” Crabbe said worried.

“Well I’m fine. I’m just… thinking about the shit we could do to Potter.”

“A-Are you sure?”

“Yes! When am I not sure?! Now get outta here!” I said pushing Crabbe out of the dorm.
I don’t know if you could guess but… I’m not okay… at all.

*Monday, 12:00 AM*

“Y/N don’t cry! Please I-I crumble when you cry.”

“But Draco… I have to say Goodbye.”

“You always say Goodbye darling.” I said while cupping Y/N’S cheeks.

“No, I mean for good. Draco I-I love you but I can’t stay here for long. It’s time that you stop thinking about me and start looking up. I love you Draco Malfoy and I’m sure we’ll meet again soon. Bye my darling.” She kissed me. I felt her tears drip down her face.

“I love you too Y/N.” She started to fade away. I couldn’t see her figure anymore. ‘Start to look up?’ interesting.

*Monday, almost dawn, 5:05 AM*

“Draco! Wake up will ya!”

“Ugh what Crabbe and Goyle?! Get your hands off of me!”

“Professor Dumbledore wants ya.” Goyle said to me.

“For what? Holy shit what did you dumbasses do?!”

“Nothing we swear!” Crabbe and Goyle said to me.

“It better be nothing if not then I will hex you guys hard!”

I started to walked to Professor Dumbledore’s office still thinking about what Y/N said to me. I wish our last moment together wasn’t vague.

“Ah Draco, sorry to wake you up this early but our new student just arrived today and she’s in Slytherin like you. Could you show her around before everyone wakes up? Wouldn’t want her to be lost on her first day of school.” Dumbledore said to me.

“I don’t have a choice do I?” I said back.

“Come, she’s upstairs waiting for us.”

We walked up the long staircase and I was dreading every moment of it. I just wanna sleep and move on since Y/N clearly doesn’t exist and that spark that we had is now dead.

“Y/N this is Draco Malfoy. A fellow Slytherin like yourself.” Dumbledore said. I looked up and I see… Y/N, the girl from my dreams, the girl that I adore.

“Draco this is Y/N.” Dumbledore spoke again.

“H-Hi.” I said in utter shock.

“Hello… darling.”

Recap - Hamilton (Brandy Revolutionaries)

This past week was a lot of fun!  These three actors (Anthony Ramos, Daveed Diggs, and Okieriete Onaodowan in respective order of drink appearance) do a phenomenal job of bringing six distinct voices to life.  I did my best to honor those distinct characterizations when crafting their drinks.

Anyway, here’s what happened this past week:

Sunday: Blow Us All Away (Philip Hamilton) - child’s iced gunpowder tea
Monday: What’d I Miss (Jefferson) - Sidecar variant
Tuesday: A Quid Pro Quo (Madison) - Brandy Alexander variant
Wednesday: Lock Up Ya Daughters (Hercules Mulligan) - Horse’s Neck variant
Thursday: C’est Moi (Lafayette) - French 75 variant
Friday: Raise a Glass (Laurens) - colonial style brandy flip

Sadly, I think that’s it for Hamilton drinks, unless I can figure out a way to eke a third week out of side characters.  This show was a lot of fun, and I’m sorry to see it go.  I hope y’all enjoyed these Hamilton cocktails as well!

‘Once Upon a Time’ Creators Tease Winter Finale’s Answers, Flying Carpets, and More

Is the grass always greener on the other side? Emma Swan is about to find out in Sunday’s winter finale of Once Upon a Time.

The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) uses Aladdin’s lamp to get Emma (Jennifer Morrison) to wish she’d never become the Saviour. As creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis tells Yahoo TV, it’s Emma’s opportunity to see what her life would’ve been like if she’d made a different choice.

The midseason finale is going to be a doozy, as Emma’s vision of her death is fully revealed and she learns who the killer under the hood is.

Horowitz and Kitsis give us the scoop on the coming showdown between the Evil Queen and Regina, a trip to Agrabah, and the return of some familiar faces.

What themes did you want to set up in this midseason finale for the back half of the season?
Horowitz: The themes of the back half of the season are a continuation of what we started in the first half of the season, which are: We’re still exploring what it means to be a Saviour, what the weight of this job has done to Emma, and what that’s going to mean for her going forward. And continuing to explore the idea of happy endings and what they are and are they possible.

Related: Catch Up on ‘Once Upon a Time’ With Our Recaps

In this episode, we get to see an alternate universe version of Emma, where she never becomes the Saviour. Why did you decide on exploring this angle?
Kitsis: I think it’s something as writers it’s something we’ve talked about, which was: What would’ve happened to Emma if she never became the Saviour? Who doesn’t say, “Oh, well, what if I did this in life?” or “What if I made this other choice?” The grass is always greener, and that’s what we’re going to explore. It’s a great punishment for the Evil Queen, but for Emma, to get something you always wondered is best for you, it’s a real chance to examine if the grass really was greener.

We’ve seen bits and pieces of Emma’s vision of her death. Will we get more clues?
Kitsis: We’re definitely going to get more clues about that and who is under the hood in that vision we saw in the premiere.

Will it be entirely revealed?
Kitsis: It will be entirely revealed.

Wow!
Kitsis: That’s what you’re really saying. Am I going to get some answers? Yes. Answers are coming!

In the last episode, Belle (Emilie de Ravin) sent her baby away to protect him from Gold (Robert Carlyle). But we’ve seen before that children tend to find their way back to Storybrooke. So, what’s next for Belle and her baby?
Horowitz: There’s a lot coming up for Belle and her baby and for Gold. Sending off her child was the most difficult thing she’s ever done in her life. She did it with the full intention of being reunited with that child. We’re going to see that reunion happen, but I think it’s going to happen in a surprising way and create some new obstacles for Belle. There’s going to be some great danger surrounding the baby and her, and it’s actually going to, unexpectedly, unite Belle and Gold with common purpose and help them start to heal some of the wounds in their relationship.

Do you think Belle and Gold’s relationship has deteriorated to the point where they can’t get back together?
Horowitz: I think in last week’s episode, we saw Gold walk right up to the line of the most reprehensible thing you can do to someone, and he didn’t do it. Even though Belle, at the end of that episode, thinks he did, but ultimately she’s going to have to learn the truth. But what’s more important is that we saw that when really faced with it, Gold couldn’t do this terrible thing to her, and despite all of his addiction to magic and power, his love of Belle is huge and strong and overpowering within him.

So, last week, we also learned that the Black Fairy is Rumplestiltskin’s mother. Are we going to see her again?
Horowitz: It’s just the beginning of seeing the Black Fairy and learning about her past and Rumple’s past.

And what about his dad. Everyone always loves to see Pan.
Kitsis: Never say never, but there are no immediate plans for Pan to return.

This season has brought back the Evil Queen, and she and Regina have had this truce since killing one will kill the other. But the truce can’t last for long, right?
Horowitz: That’s exactly right. It can’t last forever so that means a showdown is a-coming in the second half of the season and it’s going to happen sooner than people think.

It seems like they aren’t even close to cracking that problem of how to defeat her.
Kitsis: I think in the winter finale, you’re going to see some big steps taken forward. Maybe there is a way to defeat her, maybe there is a way to deal with this seemingly insurmountable problem of the connection between them. Or there won’t be!

What about Aladdin? He’s put himself in the lamp now. What’s next for him and Jasmine?
Horowitz: We will definitely be seeing the other side of that when we return and we’ll be going to Agrabah and finding out the mysteries of what’s going on.

Kitsis: Let me ask you something: Do you like flying carpets? Because they’ve got them in Agrabah!

Will we meet new characters in Agrabah? And will we be seeing familiar faces in the second half of the season?
Kitsis: Yeah, we’re definitely going to see some old friends. We can tell you that Pinocchio will be coming back, Eion Bailey. We’ve announced that Sean Maguire, Robin Hood, will be doing a role. We always like to see old friends on the show. It’s part of the fun of the world.

How much do you monitor fan feedback to decide which characters to bring back?
Hororwitz and Kitsis: Zero!

Kitsis: The trouble with the Internet is that everyone has a different opinion. The truth of the matter is, Adam and I worked 12 really harsh years and a lot of passes to get this show on air. So at the end of the day, we’re just going to go with what we think is best. We can’t listen to every voice on the Internet. Obviously, we love our fans and we’re inspired by our fanbase, but the truth is, this week’s episode was filmed months ago. It really doesn’t work real-time.

Horowitz: What we like to say is, we hear our fans but we can’t listen to them. We’re very sensitive to our fans and we’re very sensitive that we’re making the show for the fans and we want them to love and enjoy it as much as we love and enjoy making it. But we can’t be taking requests.

Kitsis: TV is very interesting because it’s in your home and you see it once a week and fans have this sense of “I can change the course,” but they don’t apply that to any other art form. Nobody is trying to tell Adele what song to do.

Horowitz: Television is a unique form, because while Eddy and I created the show, it belongs to the fans. Our responsibility is to make the show to the best of our ability and hope the fans enjoy it.

The Fighting Cholitas
[2015]

In Bolivia, there are a group of female lucha libre-style wrestlers who perform in multi-layered dresses and who wrestle, sometimes in intergender matches, for hundreds of paying fans each Sunday. They’re known as The Fighting Cholitas. The Cholitas are part of a group of wrestlers known as Titans Of The Ring, which are wrestlers of both sexes whom are indigenous to El Alto. When the group takes the show on the road, they guarantee hundreds, but when they’re on their home turf, thousands flock to see the Colitas in action.

Tickets to the shows are roughly $1 (American), and often, the Cholitas are paid $13 per match. Because of this, wrestling is merely a side hustle for the group, who take on other tasks in daily life.

However, come Sunday, the luchadoras gather in El Alto to put on professional wrestling shows, trading punches and flying through the air whilst adorned in petticoats and shawls. The women involved operate through a system founded in 2011 to ensure that everyone be paid fairly and equally, which was created after a promoter who had an idea to put the Cholitas in the ring to attract to public. Once the gimmick was spotted as becoming a monopoly, the Cholitas created their own brand, and it’s found them incredible success!

The Cholitas were highlighted in an award-winning 2006 short-subject documentary, The Fighting Cholitas, available at this link. It’s only 20:00 long, so be sure to check it out!

Hollow Without You (Jungkook x Reader)

Genre: Fluff with a bit of angst I suppose with University AU

Words: 1.5K (very brief appearance by Jimin)

Another bright Sunday morning and I am back to my usual Sunday routine. I walk along the footpath, watching as families lazily head out of town to go for a picnic. I pull my jacket tighter against me in the cold wind as I head to the usual cozy coffee shop in a side street away from the bustle of Busan life.

I entered the coffee shop, the familiarity of the establishment tinkering my senses. The chime of the bell, the coarse wood of the door, the dim and glowing lighting of the interior, I could almost taste the warm coffee as the sweet aroma of light roast Arabica beans washed over me.

My feet took me ti the corner we always sat at, away from prying eyes, almost into a niche which held only us and our coffees. Sliding into the booth, I found my familiar first drink, a latte with whipped cream on top, waiting for me beside a familiar iced americano, I turned to my companion, my arms slipping around his torso as his slid around my waist.

“Hi,” I breathed into the soft fabric of his sweater
“Hey,” I heard him respond into my neck, his cold nose clearly seeking my warmth
“You smell nice,” he commented as he pulled away, a slight smile on his face.
“Yes, I did use the perfume you gifted.” I roll my eyes at him, my heart swelling at the warm chuckle that rumbled through his chest.

“Hey, I had an idea… instead of going around, how about we take it easy today and laze around on the roads slightly and then go back to mine?” His voice kissed my ear as I sipped my warm drink, melting with the taste of the drink under his arm. “Hmm… Sure…” I agree as I nuzzle into his chest, listening to him slurp his iced coffee as his other hand rests on my arm, fumbling with the loose threads of my sweater.

Pulling away, I enjoy my coffee, my eyes closing as I relish the subtle sweetness of my vanilla latte. Arms sneaking around my waist, I feel a weight on my back. Intertwining my fingers with his, I turn my head slightly to make myself heard, “What’s wrong, Kook?”
“I missed you,” he mumbles inaudibly
“What was that?”
“I said you smell nice,” he says, louder this time, digging his chin into my back
Still not convinced, I opt to just sip my coffee instead as his long fingers play with my not-so-long ones under the table.

After finishing my drink, I pull away from him to go to the counter and get us breakfast.

His wrist stops me from leaving as he turns me around and hugs me around my waist, his face hidden in my sweater. He clings onto me for a few seconds urging me to stroke his soft, brown hair. Feeling him hum in satisfaction against my clothes, I pull his face away to look at him properly for the first time since entering the café.

Sunday Mornings With Tae

Genre: DRABBLE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~Sunday morning, rain is falling
Steal some covers, share some skin
Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable
You twist to fit the mold that I am in
But things just get so crazy, living life gets hard to do
And I would gladly hit the road, get up and go if I knew
That someday it would lead me back to you~~~~

You wake up to the smell of food being cooked in the kitchen and you wonder, ‘Wait is Taehyung down stairs cooking? I swear he was next to me this whole time.’ You lift up the covers on Tae’s side of the bed and it’s your dog, and he’s chilling. You text him and see what’s going on.

You go downstairs and try to be quiet, you sneak up on Tae and you scare him. You wrap your warm arms around Tae, you get on your tippy-toes and you whisper in his ear, ‘I love you.’ He stops his cooking and he turns back to you and picks you up by your thighs and places you on the counter and he puts his head on your heart and he says, ‘I love you too.’

Praise the Sunday!

Hope everyone is having a good day today, here in sunny England it is freezing cold and raining, which is a perfect excuse to stay in and do very little which would have been the plan if I didn’t have a maths exam deadline fast approaching so instead I’ve spent the day so far doing maths mock exams.

How fun my life is!

Any way, What are you lot up to? :)

Rain on My Sunshine

Thank you all for the kindness and encouraging words on my last post. I spent the past 3 weeks getting therapy and focusing on myself. At times I would feel like I am getting better before falling into despair again (and a stalking incident last Sunday that involved police removal did not help the healing process…), but overall, I am getting better.

Sometimes I wonder which side of the reflection I stand on. The one holding a raining umbrella when the sky is clear, or the one holding onto sunshine when it rains? Between the unfortunate things that happen in life, and my own reaction to those things, I can’t tell if I am responsible for my own unhappiness.

My therapist will be treating me for PSTD on the things that happened in my past, starting from my childhood. I’ve been reflecting a lot on my life, and incorporating the experiences into new projects. I want to understand my life through my art.

While I haven’t been posting these past 3 weeks, I have been busy writing out the new script for a remastered version of Knite, doing new character designs, and researching new techniques to speed up the comic making process. Knite is a story that lies close to my heart. It’s heavily influenced by my childhood, and while I never got to finish the old story, I am determined to finish the new one.

I hope to continue both Knite and Fisheye Placebo at the same time. I can’t realistically draw it all by myself, so I will be making a post in a few weeks about hiring helpers. I’m not completely back yet, but I’m starting to heal, and I look forward to all the amazing things in 2016.

Thank you all again for always being here for me. I hope I can give back as much as everyone has given me.

Characters: Dean x Reader, Sam

Summary: After a witch steals Dean’s memory of you, ten years of your life along side him is ripped away. In a desperate attempt to protect your heart, you beg Sam not to tell Dean about your relationship. You have sentenced yourself to watch in agony as Dean unknowingly breaks your heart.

Word Count: ~4,500

A/N: There should only be two parts and I’m working hard on the second now! I’m hoping it can be out in a few days (Sunday maybe!) Hope you guys like it! It’s pretty narrative heavy, but I wrote it at my desk at work on my iPhone so hopefully it’s not too bad lol. Let me know what you think!!! 😊

A sinking feeling filled and consumed your chest as Sam weaved in and out of traffic in suburb just on the outskirts of Kansas City. He nearly clipped the impala’s side view mirror as he cut off a rusted pickup truck turning onto the adjacent street.

Sam didn’t let up on the gas as he raced through the neighborhood, plowing through the roads at nearly twenty over the speed limit, the roar of the engine rupturing through the silence. There was an ominous nature to the fog clouding over the sky as it was illuminated only by the dim light of stars painted in distant freckles upon the darkness. It sent chills down your spine.

Sam’s knuckles gripped paper white against the steering wheel as he swerved around a skateboard lying in the center of the street. You held back the growing lump in your throat that had been threatened to suffocate you ever since you learned of Dean’s disappearance. His absence in the impala left a gaping hole in your chest.
