on all our currency

INTP Explained # 11

Most people think we like making everyone else feel stupid because we know so much. This isn’t usually the case. We are curious to a fault. This trait causes us to research the hell out of anything and everything! Then we love rattling off all of that knowledge. It is how we show our value. We enjoy sharing what we know. We honestly don’t care that you most likely didn’t know it. Matter a fact, we are happy when you don’t. We enjoy being the first person to tell you something. But not because we want to appear superior. We think that is all we can offer. New facts and information. It’s our currency. It’s got nothing to do with ego. Unless two INTPS get into a “fact off”. Then it gets into ego.

Scenario: EXO; rich daddies, champagne dripping down their bare chest, making it rain in all currencies, on a yacht, Lotto™ playing in the background, our panties being used as towels for the spilled champagne

I can’t wait until we replace all the founding fathers on our currency with activists and all the conservatives leave america, attempting to colonize the lost city of atlantis cos they know their time is up

For you who didn’t know it yet; Sweden’s currently changing the motives of our currency. So gradually all the old coins and bucks will be replaced with new ones.

I finally got hold of the new 20kr so I took some photos comparing it with the old 20kr.

(20kr = 2.30 dollars)

Seeing fat, strong, intelligent, brave, badass babes every day that LOVE THEIR BODIES is so so so important to me.

Being surrounded by thin/accessibly sized people who fit into a standard of beauty narrative but don’t recognize or appreciate any of their privilege is suffocating.

Being surrounded by people who are in constant war with their able bodies, people who hate their bodies and allow the beauty industry into their radical minds & politics are bleeding that energy into everything they do. It’s toxic and it’s suffocating.

Having that internalized and socialized hatred of self reflected out onto me and my love for my imperfect body every single day, in every single room, is suffocating.

We are all lovable. It is not a contest. Our bodies are not a currency.

I AM FAT.

I am fat like I am tall, like I wear size 10 shoes, like I have blue eyes. I am fat, and it is just another word. I am fat and it is just fine.

Please do not tell me I’m NOT fat; please do not demonize that word, being fat is BY FAR one of the least negative things I could be as a person. Being fat is just a part of who I am, and who I have always been, and I love every fucking part of me.

Today I found a blog called fatgirlsdoingthings and I can’t stop crying because outlets like this blog are so damn important to women like me, to see other women embracing every inch, every stretch mark, every blemish and shouting to the world that they love themselves. When you are fat simply loving yourself is an act of radical warfare.

My name is Otessa

I am a size 20/22

I wear what I want not what you want

I feel great about my body. I love this body. I am so grateful for my body and every day I get to spend in it.

And I will continue to remind other womyn of their strong, incredible, gorgeous and absolutely lovable bodies on daily basis.

Fic Writers and Their Place in the Fandom: And Why There’s Nothing Wrong With Expecting Feedback

Let me preface this by saying that this is long, but I feel it is important. This also isn’t about me personally although I do use anecdotes from own experience as a fic writer. This is for all the writers in our fandom. Please read. Please share. Please discuss.

  • atheists: i am uncomfortable with the lack of separation of church and state in like 80% of our laws
  • christians: god y'all are so demanding. atheists always speaking out about their atheist opinions amirite
  • christians: by the way gay marriage can't be legal because the bible says so physician-assisted suicide can't be legal because life is a gift from god and suicide is a sin we're gonna print god on all of our legal currency every single federal document is gonna mention god's will in it not only are we gonna force children from the age of 5 to pledge allegiance to their entire country but we're also gonna make them pledge allegiance to a country under god and just for fun we're gonna blame atheists feeling like they need to defend their right to an existence without the influence of a 2000 year old book guiding their every decision on the idea that they're all cheeto-fingered fedora-wearing dudebros JUST so that we don't have to act like we give a shit about nonchristian people

So I’ve seen a few non-UK people making jokes about the EU referendum and I guess I just wanted to add that the majority of people under 25 in Britain voted to stay in the EU and we are all feeling pretty scared right now. The value of our currency dropped overnight. Investors are pulling out, and now both Scotland and Northern Ireland are planning referendums to leave the UK. Before the vote the government promised they would still provide money for our health service, but now they’ve completely gone back on it! AND once the independence comes into effect, Britain is now no longer obliged to pay men and women an equal wage. There’s so much more but basically it’s all awful and terrifying. 48% of the country voted to remain; this is hardly a popular vote. Young British people (and let’s be real, if there are British people on this site they’re going to be young) didn’t vote for this and don’t deserve to be the butt of jokes or insults regarding the matter.

(Reading this back I realise it is very poorly worded but I’m typing angrily on my phone as I try to eat at the same time.)

The Rock helps inspire Pittsburgh man battling cancer
[November 10th, 2015]

Honestly, just when you think you couldn’t be more amazed by The Rock, he posts this story on Instagram:

Yesterday a buddy of mine @shawnperine sent me a story to read about an amazing man named #MattKlutka. Matt has terminal cancer and told he only has a few weeks left. He told me Matt was a big fan of mine and a phone call would mean the world to him. I emailed my bud back with simply, “Are you kidding me? I’ll call him in 15 minutes!” As it turned out it was a call I’ll never forget for the rest of my life.

Matt couldn’t have been more upbeat and positive. We talked about our favorite movies, our passion for hard core workouts (he still trains hard and pushes himself DAILY), told a dirty joke or two and talked about our pride of being fathers (he has an 11yr old son Cebran and says “I couldn’t ask for a better kid!”). As we wrapped up the call I told him how proud I was of him and how much just hearing his voice has inspired me. He thanked me from the bottom of his heart and said with vigor and determination, “I just gotta keep pushing”. I hung up the phone a grateful man and knew how blessed I was to hear his voice.

Thank you Matt for the inspiration and reminding all of us that time is indeed our greatest currency. To use it as best we can, to have as much fun as we can and to love as strongly as we can, because we never know when our time will be up.

Stay strong brother. And keep pushing. DJ

Illuminati

The Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, “enlightened”) is a name given to several groups, both real and fictitious. Historically, the name refers to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776. The society’s goals were to oppose superstitionprejudice, religious influence over public life and abuses of state power, and to support women’s education and gender equality

It’s all about power.

Grabbing it. Keeping it.

Using it

Power is our currency, our DNA, our god.

We control the world, we provide the blueprint, and we give the instructions.

We’re the people in grainy photos on grassy knolls.

With the shadowy faces, and smoky back rooms, and darkened boardrooms.

We’re right here, hiding in plain sight, buying and selling favours, blackmail trees and deceit, these are our stock in trade.

We work the magic at the drunken evenings with senators and chiefs of staff.

We shake down demons and negotiate with sorcerers.

We have stocks in Hell, and compromising photos of Angels.

We use any means necessary, regardless of the cost.

Because the world is a bad place, and you can either do or get done.

We are the Illuminati,

and we are not done.

It’s all about power: grabbing it, keeping it, using it… Power is our currency, our DNA, our God. We control the world. We provide the blueprint and we give the instructions. We’re the people in grainy photos on grassy knolls; we’re the shadowy faces in smoky backrooms and darkened boardrooms. We’re right here, hiding in plain sight, buying and selling favors: blackmail, treason, deceit– these are our stock in trade. We work the magic of the drunken evenings with senators and chiefs of staff. We shake down demons, and negotiate with sorcerers. We have stocks in Hell, and compromising photos of Angels. We use any means necessary regardless of the cost, because the world is a bad place, and you can either do or get done.

We’re the Illuminati… and we’re not done.
