Via Flickr: I decided to head of early to Glen Affric hoping for calm water and a colourful sky but only managed one of the two.
There was a band of colour in the sky for a short while, but generally just grey.
The water level in Loch Beinn a’ Mheadhoin was low resulting in the old tree stumps being exposed and an ugly scar above the waterline.
Lochan na Stainge Sunrise by Iain MacDiarmid Via Flickr: Another from yesterday’s trip to Rannoch Moor and Glen Etive with Steve (Stoates-Findhorn). The weather started off better than expected and then deteriorated with thick cloud cover, snow showers, rain and increasing wind speed.
This is a shot from the first stop of the day at an icy Lochan na Stainge with the sunlight catching the top of the hills and colouring the clouds over the Black Mount.
plastic 柄杓 by Neconote Via Flickr: 氷川神社。由緒ありそうな神社なのに、お手水の柄杓がプラスチック製で衝撃を受けた。
I was surprised that the ladles of chozu are made by plastic though this shrine with a long and distinguished history.
Glen Garry Red Deer by Iain MacDiarmid Via Flickr: Taken on yesterday’s outing with the Great Glen Camera Club in a snowy Glen Garry.
The snow got worse the further we went down the glen so, after struggling to get Pat’s car back on the road we took the wise decision to head off on foot to look for the deer. It was a great day for a walk but I wasn’t really expecting the 11K round trip on foot!
