old people comics

It’s finally done!!

Funny thing is that I doodled this comic out on valentine’s day and just never did anything about it. But then recently I got a bunch of followers who liked my cheerleader+nerd girl ideas so I thought I’ll finish this comic out for you guys!

Also they have names now!

Valerie (cheerleader) and Emma (nerd). I want to think of an official series title for them but nothing is coming up at the moment but I will eventually!

She wanted to be what you were, agent. Don’t forget that.

Black Widow Strikes #3 (2012)

(do not repost) uploading this super old comic based on my all-time favorite commercial ever in case you guys need something to cheer you up! also still digging the idea that iwa-chan and ushi becomes good buddies…..

  • What it blocks for me: anything nightwing related, fanart, innocent posts, a lot of dc comics posts, some fluffy fan fiction
  • What it doesn't block: nsfw fan fiction, porn bots, and a lot of other nsfw posts

i honestly can’t help but like. hate everyone that says stuff like ‘classic comics were the best! i miss the old days of comics, the originals!’ or in general i can’t like people who hang onto old characters. this is a radical idea but in my eyes we should get a new wonder woman, a new batman, a new superman and stick with them rather than it being temporary.

why? because yeah, sjw bullshit from me again, because these ‘classic’ characters and representations are the same bullshit: white cishet abled people. whenever people bash on new characters and want the old ones back i just stare because the old ones are just white, cishet people everywhere. there were SOME comics, sure (the authority comes to mind) but 99% were just like this.

also it’s like.. super obvious whenever people complain about how comics are ‘ruining characters’ and ‘it’s too new’ it’s always about diverse titles. and it’s not just ‘hate’. this gets comics cancelled and we keep “going back” (see where i’m going with this?) to this stale narrative with repetitive white, cishet, abled heroes everywhere. if the comic industry is going down it’s because of both the writers and the fanbase’s inability to move on from the same ‘standard’ hero into a more inclusive narrative.
