okay last one goodbye

Story 215: Cultural Exchange

The human steps onto the station from her shuttle, and walks into the scanner.  It flashes - no weapons.  I pity her, though there’s nothing I can do for her.  By tomorrow she will be a slave the same as me; the Gaunvans collect ambassadors like trophies.
“Hello there!  Amanda Thorn, ambassador for the Empire of Humanity.  You’re a Ixian, correct?”
Mimicking human body language, I nod my head.  "That’s correct.  Ix Malasan.  It is an honor to meet you.“
She smiles, reminding me again that she has somehow modified herself to breathe atmosphere suited to the Gaunvans rather than wear a respirator like myself.  Other than that she appears to be a standard human, something I am led to believe is less and less common as they pursue the bizarre compulsion humans have to alter their bodies.  Changing hair color, adding pigments to their skins in patterns and pictures, growing long tails or ears that mimic other species from their planet.  No other known species tampers with their bodies like this.
“Not to be undiplomatic, she says, "but the Gaunvans enslaved your people.  Why are you here?”
“We… reached a mutually beneficial agreement.  We would have lost in combat and been eliminated, so we chose to preserve what we could of our culture.  The Gaunvans are not naturally skilled at diplomacy, so they bring me along to assist and to show that peace can be made.”
She nods.  "Understood.  I can respect that choice.  How much freedom do you have, personally?“
Smart of her, to start planning for her future. "A fair amount.  I have free reign on the ship when we are in transit.  At the homeworld I have reasonably comfortable quarters.”
“Have you ever met the Empress, or…?”
“Oh, no.  No, while on the homeworld I am confined to my chambers - but they’re quite spacious.”
“Shame.  Okay, plan ‘A’ then.  Let’s get this over with.”

Despite my attempt at encouraging diplomacy, the Gaunvan commander starts with threats.  I don’t know why I bother.  He looms over the human, chitinous plates almost black in the dim light.  His pod of six is posted around the room, for show more than for actual security since she followed orders and came alone and unarmed.  "Failure to surrender will bring the full wrath of our army upon you.  Humanity will be crushed, and wiped from the universe.“
To her credit, she looks very calm.  "We live in a post-scarcity society.  Bloody conquest just seems silly, doesn’t it?”
“It is for the glory of Gaun!”
“Well, I’m not prepared to get into a religious debate with you,” she says, “since I doubt there’s anything I can do to change your mind.  Since you’re committed to this course of action, what are you willing to offer if we surrender?”
Now he goes back on script.  Maybe I am getting through to him a little?  He talks about the benefits of being enslaved, mainly the protections for up to twelve designated culturally historical sites.  They’ve been mostly good on their word on my homeworld, though they did use the area just outside of the Hahhn Memorial as a waste dump.

She nods as she listens.  There was a part of me that was worried she would argue, because the humans are somewhat childlike.  They don’t understand the horrors of war.  Certainly they fought in the past, but the last time they had to battle was more than two of their generations ago, so these ones have all grown up coddled and soft.  They play games with each other instead, silly competitions.  They make art, and play pretend, and alter their bodies for fun.  They don’t have weapons anymore, and wouldn’t know how to use them if they did.
“Well then,” ambassador Thorn says, “this is about what I expected.  On behalf of humanity, I would like to formally reject this offer.”
Oh no.  Foolish humans.  The galaxy will miss your innocence.  The commander makes an excited clicking noise, looking forward to combat.  He reaches a blade-tipped hand towards ambassador Thorn, but hesitates as every device in the room bleats out an alert - we’ve all lost communications with the outside.

Like one of the dances humans do, she gracefully pivots around while taking his hand.  She ends up close to him and places her other arm against his thorax, then… oh gods. Gods, what… she’s ripped his arm off.  It’s not possible.  The commander is clearly thinking the same thing, staring in mute shock at his dripping limb.
“I’d like to extend a counter-offer,” she says, and flips the arm around before jamming the bladed end into his neck.  The warriors around the room are fidgeting, uncertain.  They haven’t been told to attack, and don’t want to dishonor their commander by intervening in a fight with such a small creature.  She’s still holding the commander’s severed arm in his neck, but she rotates and heaves, lifting him off the ground with it for a moment… and then his head pops off, landing squarely on the conference table.  She allows the corpse to slide to the ground, and straightens her clothes as if they aren’t covered in ichor.

I don’t understand.

The warriors, now with no orders at all, finally act.  She smiles as they come for her, I suppose because she has done her duty to send this powerful message of resistance.  She can die in peace.  Or… no… She’s killing them.  She’s smiling because this is fun for her.  Though they’re partly killing themselves; if there had been two of them, prepared, strategic, they might have prevailed.  Watching six panicked fighters get in each other’s way while trying to stop a smaller, faster, and somehow impossibly stronger foe is almost hypnotic.  At least one is killed by the stab of a friendly lance due to pure confusion.  It’s over faster than I would have thought possible, severed limbs strewn across the room.  I’ve got some fluids splashed across my clothing.  Only one yet lives, and he is retreating.  She seems to be allowing it.

She follows behind, holding a lance.  The wounded and scared warrior scurries down the hallway towards his ship, looking back behind him as he goes.  She’s just… walking.  Calm.  And for some reason I’m following.  The last Gaunvan reaches the airlock and the second he enters his code she throws the lance - throws it! - and spears him.
“Come on, we’re stealing their ship.”  She says it like this is the most normal thing in the world.
“There are thousands more on board!  Thousands!  Almost all warrior caste!”
She smiles again, and keeps walking.  I see errors on the screens that we pass, messages indicating communications have been lost.  They can’t tell anyone what is happening here.  Even the communicators within the ship are on nodes rather than being wired, so the warriors at one end of the vessel won’t be able to coordinate with the other end.  Do they even know they’ve been boarded?
“How?”

We enter the bridge after she kills a handful of other guards with ease.  They’re too shocked by her presence to act in time.  Once the door are sealed and she is working on the control systems she starts talking to me again.
“Well, you know, we do like to be prepared.”
“But you… you ripped his arm off.”
“Yeah, that was super satisfying.”  She looks at me appraisingly.  "Oh, come on.  Is it really that surprising?  You knew we were into changing ourselves, right?  Being strong enough to pop an overgrown bug’s forelimb off isn’t rocket science.“
"Your people are so peaceful…”
“Oh, sure, most of them.  But we did that, too.  Tweaked ourselves over the years to decrease aggression and some of our tribalistic tendencies, increase empathy… all stuff that can be undone if needed.  Though for a good cause even the nicest of us can squish a bug or two.”
“You bond with Ry'ling devourers!”
“Those are the big fuzzy guys that look like cats, yeah?  Those guys are adorable!  But… look, liking some things that could kill us doesn’t mean we’ll sit back and get enslaved.  We didn’t put up with it well when we enslaved each other, and we certainly aren’t going to go for it now that we’re… finally… on the same page about slavery being unacceptable.  It was, uh, a longer time than we like to admit before the last hold-outs were convinced of that one.”

I can feel the ship un-dock.  We’re moving.  "What about all the warriors on board?  They’ll break through the doors eventually!“
"Not according to this control panel here.  Take a look.”
It says there’s no atmosphere in the rest of the ship.  Life signs are negative on all but two of the warriors, presumably the only ones that got to their suits in time.  She disabled all the safety measures, somehow.  She just killed… I check the life signs readout again to confirm the number… three thousand, six hundred, and fourteen soldiers.  Wait, how is it tracking that unless… “Are communications back up?”
“Yeah, I’m calling some friends.  The military is right around the corner, so to speak.”
“But Earth doesn’t have a standing military.”
She laughs.  Not just a little bit.  She’s actually doubled over for a moment, unable to catch her breath.  "Sweet Jeebus, you guys actually fell for that?  No standing military.  Have you read about us at all?“

Three ships appear seemingly out of nowhere, and one docks with the Gaunvan vessel.  Once the atmosphere is restored we head to the airlock to meet them, and I’m surprised by an entire platoon of Gaunvan warriors.  Speaking English.
"Okay boys, send your last goodbyes!  This is in all likelihood a one way mission.  Commander Thorn!  It is an honor to see you again, and might I say you look exquisite drenched in the blood of your enemies!”
She bows to him, blushing, and then salutes the Gaunvans.  Or… humans?  Can they change themselves this drastically?
“You’ve got two holed up in here somewhere.  Bridge is clear, have the techs bring the new brain on board.”
“New brain?”
She looks at me like she’s forgotten that I’m here, and then turns back to the others.  "Men, this is our new friend Ix Malasan who has just been liberated from his captivity.  He’s going to be helping with our intel.  Malasan, yeah, a new brain for the ship.  Once this vessel is cleaned up and back in service with a new crew we’ll be able to take it over whenever we want even if all of our boys get killed.  We cooked up a really sadistic AI for it.“
"But how do you know the protocols?  This was your first contact with the Gaunvans, they’ve never lost a ship anywhere near here!”
“No?  There wasn’t a mining colony disaster two years ago?”
“But that was just an accident… and you weren’t even involved in the war yet… and…”

The faux-Gaunvans have finished boarding.  The one that was talking to them before puts a bladed claw on ambassador - commander - Thorn’s shoulder.  "You coming with?“
"Naw.  Orders said I could only come if they allow ambassadors near extremely high value targets.  Malasan here says they don’t, so I need to wait for my next mission back on Earth.”
“It would have been nice having you with us, Thorn.  Well, maybe we’ll see each other again.  Suicide mission or not, I think I’ve decided to live through it.”
“Bold choice,” she says, and kisses him next to his lower mandibles.
He nods at me, then turns back to his men. “Okay everyone, we are now officially on the job.  And what is that job?”
In unison, they start chanting.

“FUCK! SHIT! UP!  FUCK! SHIT! UP!  FUCK! SHIT! UP!”

For a moment I nearly feel pity for the Gaunvans.  Nearly.  Commander Thorn leads me off of the ship, and I start thinking about what useful information I can provide the ‘harmless’ humans.  Fuck shit up, indeed.

“They’re here!“ you called down the hallway.

"Who are here?” Jae jokingly asked. You rolled your eyes playfully at your boyfriend before clicking the button from your apartment that buzzed downstairs, allowing your friends to pass and come up. You loved that you got on so well with your boyfriends friends. You recalled the first time ever meeting them and how nervous you were that they wouldn’t like you or something. Instantly, you clicked with them and talking was easy. However, your boyfriend and his friends were far from any other normal twenty year olds. They were part of one of the biggest gangs in your city. When you first met Jae, obviously you were unaware about this. You were furious and utterly distraught and upset with him, especially for keeping it a secret from you. Jae was constantly worried about your safety, but you knew he would protect you, no matter what. Therefore, you knew it was important to  keep away from any of his business and never get involved in anything. You were not stupid and it was dangerous business.

A/N: Okay I do realize this is pretty bad but I need to start somewhere.
What is this about?: While Penny is getting ready to go visit Micah, she and Simon start teasing each other.
For @snowbaz-feda

————————————————

“What if someone breaks in? And murders your best friend on cold blood huh?”
She looks up at me and rolls her eyes
“Are you aware of how stupid you sound?”
“It could happen!!” I say
“Simon I will be gone only for a couple weeks, you’ll be okay” she says as she forces some other books in her suitcase “Besides isn’t Baz coming to stay with you?” she says as she smirks at me.
I ignore her and decide to tease her instead
“Penny are you aware that there are books in the US?”
She shoots me a glare
“Besides” I continue “I don’t think you’ll do much reading there”
“Are you sure you want to do this Simon? Cause it won’t end well for you” Penny says in a playful but menacing way.
I actually don’t. Not because I don’t want to but because there isn’t much teasing to do. I mean she is going to stay with Micah but Penny would never… you know. At least not until they marry.
“I’d like to believe that we are even now” I say retreating.
“Well with that said I think I should get going”
I wanted to accompany her to the airport but she insisted that that was not necessary.
“I think I’ll have to call Baz from the airport. It’s already late”
I frown “Why?”
“To say goodbye obviously”
But then she adds
“And of course to deliver him the good news that he can now use the door”
That takes me by surprise “W-What do you mean? Why would you say that?” I say trying to sound casual.
Penny simply shoots me one of her glares and says “Simon come on, he sneaks into your bedroom at least two times a week”
I think I’ve never blushed so intensely in my life. Shit! I thought she didn’t know.
Penny laughs “Oh for Merlin’s sake Simon” “Did you really think I wouldn’t notice?”
I shrug. Being unable to do anything else.(besides turning more red. Obviously)
With this she laughs even harder.
“Unbelievable Simon. You know nobody knows you like I do” she stops for a moment pretending like she is thinking about something “Oh no wait…”
“No”
“I guess Baz does” she says as a huge smile comes to her face.
“Okay okay I get it. I’ll never tease you again. Just stop please” I say with my eyes closed. Wishing that the earth could swallow me.
“Then I guess that my job here is done” she says with a proud look in her face.
“Goodbye Simon. I’ll miss you” she hugs me. I hug her back “I’ll miss you too”
She then proceeds to take her suitcase and head for the door.
I open it for her “Have a good flight Pen”
“Thanks, Please try to not get too messy” she says as she walks through the door.
“Oh sod off Penny”
“Okay okay sorry that was the last one” she says
“Goodbye Penny” I say before closing the door
And I soon as I close it Penny screams “OH AND PLEASE KEEP IT QUIET!! WE CAN’T HAVE ANY MORE NOISE COMPLAINTS”
Agh Goddammit Penny…

Can I have a mini-prompt with Finn & Avery? Maybe where Finn is in kind of an accident and besides his parents and siblings Avery rushes to the hospital and maybe a cute little scene between her and Harry/the missus ? Thank you💗

Warning: Mention of illness/sickness/vomit(ing), etc.

“…huh?”

Avery startled awake, flinging her duvet back as she sat up quickly and her hair falling messily in front of her eyes. She scrambled in the dark for the glowing, trilling, vibrating object that had somehow ended up at the foot of her bed. She fumbled to thump the green button, not checking whose name was flashed across the screen and dropped it against her ear tiredly.

“Hul’lo?” She rubbed her eyes and pushed her hair off her face as she waited for the caller to speak. It took a few moments before there was a raspy, weak voice on the other end.

“…Avery?”

Avery sat up stiffly. “Finn?” He sounded ill on the other end. Sick enough to send her heart pumping a little faster. There’s a few shallow breaths before he speaks again. Words slurring together slightly.

You and I

a/n: I saw the 7x13 still and I just couldn’t help myself. The angst is back and hitting hard. (ps dedicated to @hastaquelleguestua happy bday!)

“You…”

Are amazing, and beautiful and perfect.

“I…”

I’m in love with you, so helplessly and completely in love with you.

“You and I…”

Are amazing, are meant to be, are something even better.

“Maybe this was mistake”

He bows his head as he speaks, sighing as her hands slowly pull apart from his. There are chocked sobs coming from her direction and he refuses to look up, doesn’t want his fears to be confirmed.

“Our friendship is too important to me”

But this is better.

“And I don’t want to lose it”

But, I’d rather have this.

“I don’t want to lose you”

But, I’m going to.

She moves away completely from him, getting up from the small couch they sit on and walking to the other side of the room. Despite being tired and barely having the strength to move, she finds herself pacing back and forth. Her hand comes to drag through her hair as she sighs, she can’t tell if it’s frustration or her way of keeping herself from falling apart.

Sammy Imagine (Sexiest Most Awesome Person Ever)
Request by sammy-wilk-baby: Can you do an imagine of me and Sammy where we get into a huge fight and Sammy says something bad to me and then he like disappears from everyone cause he feels so bad and we make up and everything (sorry it’s so detailed 😂)
Yeah I can do this for you :) I don’t think I’m that great at all the fighting I can never find something to fight about that wouldn’t cause a break up.
————————————-
You were praying it wasn’t true as you drove to Sammy’s house. You had been at the mall to do some shopping for Sammy’s birthday when you saw it. It was all over twitter.
#Sammycheated At first you didn’t think it was him. There’s more than one Sammy. But then you saw the pictures. There were so many. They were hugging, they were holding hands and laughing. That couldn’t be a fan could it? You don’t do that with fans.
You made it to Sammy’s house and parked the car. He was home and Nate was here as well. You walked into the house and looked for Sammy.
“Sammy?” You asked around. You wanted an explanation before you got mad. You were still telling yourself that Sammy wouldn’t do a thing like that. You couldn’t believe it.
“In here!” You heard him shout from the living room area. You walked in to find him and Nate just watching some TV. You walked over and shut it off.
“HEY what was that for!” Nate shouted. You turned to Nate and gave him an apologetic look.
“Sorry,” Then you turned back to Sammy. “Would you mind explaining to me what this is,” You said holding out your phone so he could see the pictures. Sam’s eyes widened when he saw them.
“It’s not what it looks like I promise,” He starts to stutter.
“Then please do tell what it is,” You said looking at him.
“I can explain,” He said.
“Then explain Sam I am letting you explain!”
“STOP SHOUTING Y/N!” He said which scared you a little bit so you quieted down. “She’s just a fan,” He said.
“Oh so now you hold hands with fans now and go for walks together?” I asked feigning curiosity. Sam looked frustrated as he ran a hand through his hair.
“No I told you it’s not what it looks like,” He grumbled.
“Then what is it Sam? If you’re cheating on me I would much rather you just tell me straight to my face instead of lying about it,” You told him and you could tell that struck a nerve.
“SHUT UP! I told you It’s not what it looks like y/n but you just won’t stop talking! Sometimes you can be really annoying,” He said. Your heart broke when he said that. Sammy’s eyes widened when he said that. He didn’t say anything he just up and ran. You were so confused, wasn’t that what you were supposed to do?
“Wait Sammy where are you going?” You shouted running after him but it was too late he was long gone. You walked back into the living room and sat next to Nate.
“This is my fault isn’t it?” You said as you sat down.
“Not entirely, Sammy should never have said that, but I was there with him when he was with the girl. Trust me he wasn’t cheating,” Nate said and you instantly felt bad for confronting Sammy like that.
“Can you tell me what did happen then?” You asked Nate.
“Sorry I would but I think that’s a conversation for you and Sammy to have,” He said.
“Well how am I supposed to know where he is or when I get to talk to him?” You asked Nate.
“I don’t know he’s your boyfriend not mine,” He said with a chuckle. Oddly enough that chuckle lightened your mood a bit. If Nate wasn’t worried then Sammy should be back soon.
*3 days later*
So much for soon. You had been staying at Sammy’s house in hopes that you would be the first to talk to him when he came back but he hasn’t come back yet. You had tried calling him. 58 times as of four minutes ago. You had left him a numerous amount of text messages apologizing and asking him to come back but he hadn’t responded to a single one.
You were really starting to worry so you called up Jack.
“Hey Johnson,” You said into the phone.
“What’s up y/n?” He asked.
“Well I don’t know where Sammy is and he’s been gone for three days and I’m really worried and I don’t know what to do,” You rambled into the phone.
“Where are you?” He asked.
“At Sammy’s house,” You mumbled.
“I’m coming over,” He said.
“Thank you Jack,” You said before hanging up the phone. Ten minutes later you heard Jack pulling up into the driveway. He came in and found you in Sammy’s room. He sat down next to you and you told him about everything that happened. The pictures, the hashtag, the fight, the storming off, the whole thing with Nate.
“Well from what it sounds like Sammy feels pretty bad about calling you annoying so now he probably doesn’t think that he deserves you anymore,” Johnson says honestly.
“Ugh, Sammy can be so stubborn sometimes,” You uttered.
“So can you,” Johnson said with a smirk.
“I am not,” You said, rebuking his statement.
“Sure, but if Nate didn’t seem too worried then I wouldn’t worry. Sammy will be back at some point or another. I mean he has to at some point or another,” Johnson said.
“Thanks Johnson,” You said.
“You want to come over to mine and hang with Jack and me?” He asked.
“Nah, I think I’ll just stay here,” You said.
“You sure?” He asked.
“Yeah,” You said with a laugh and he gave you one last goodbye hug before leaving. “Okay y/n, just be patient Sammy will come back soon,” You said to yourself.
You went to bed early that night tired from worrying so much and you quickly fell asleep. However you were unpleasantly woken up by the lights turning on. You groaned at the brightness that was trying to make its way into your eyes.
“Y/n?” You heard and your eyes instantly opened to see Sammy standing there with a confused expression on his face. “What are you doing here?” He asked confused.
“Waiting for you of course,” You said as you stood up and made your way over to him.
“Why?” He asked.
“What do you mean why? I was worried about you,” You told him as you held his face in your hands.
“But what I said,” He mumbled.
“I forgive you, you were just angry. I know you didn’t mean it Sam and I’m sorry for pressuring you so much, Nate told me you didn’t cheat,” You said quietly as you sat down on his bed.
“Did he tell you everything?” Sammy asked as he sat down next to you and you shook your head. “Well Nate and I were at the beach when a couple of fans came up. I know what you’re thinking but just let me explain. We took a couple of pictures with them doing the traditional hug and everything but they wanted more. They wanted like these handholding pictures and stuff. I didn’t want to do it but they were fans and I didn’t want to upset them,” Sammy explained. Wow that was really not as bad as you were expecting it to be.
“Oh well now I feel like the jealous girlfriend,” You muttered.
“Don’t feel that way, I would have been mad if you had done the same thing. I’m sorry for that and I’m really sorry for calling you annoying. I didn’t mean it y/n I was just so mad,” He rambled.
“I know you didn’t Sam, it’s okay I forgave you,” You said as you put a finger to his lips so he would stop talking. His eyes glanced at your finger on his lips before he looked at your lips and then into your eyes. You took your finger away and moved closer so that you were sitting in his lap. You never broke eye contact as you leaned in closer and closer. Your eyes fluttered shut as your lips met his. As innocent as the kiss had been to begin it was anything but that now. You were desperate for Sammy.
“Oh I missed you so much Sammy,” You moaned as his hands were rubbing up and down your sides.
“I missed you too y/n,” He breathed into your lips. Your fingers were running through his hair when suddenly he stopped. He pulled away and looked at you.
“Are you okay?” You asked Sammy with worry in your eyes.
“Yeah I just never realized how lucky I was,” He said slowly causing you to blush and you scoffed looking down. “I mean it y/n. I don’t deserve you,” He said as he lifted your chin up.
“Don’t say that Sammy. You do deserve me and I deserve you. I love you Sammy don’t say that,” You said chastising him.
“Yes ma'am,” He teased.
“Don’t call me that,” You said but you couldn’t help but laugh.
“MA'AM!” Sammy shouted at the top of his lungs causing you to laugh. He quickly threw you onto his bed and started tickling you.
“Stop!” You shouted out through laughs.
“Not until you say ‘Sammy is the sexiest most awesome person ever!’” He said.
“Why do I have to say it if I already believe it,” You managed to say and the tickling stopped. Sammy leaned over you and you could feel yourself blush.
“You are the sexiest most awesome person ever,” He whispered to you with a smile on his face before kissing you. You didn’t expect the kiss so you gasped allowing Sammy’s tongue to roam your mouth.
One thing led to another and let’s just say that, that wasn’t the only thing you were screaming.
“I love you y/n,” Sammy said as he pulled you in closer to him.
“I love you Sammy,” You whispered before snuggling up into his chest.
“You are the sexiest most awesome person ever,” You heard him whisper in your ear before pressing a kiss to your temple.

Get Past This Part 2- Nate Maloley

It’s here! I need Comments for the next part please!!! :)

-Still Two Years Ago.

“He’ll be here, Y/N.” Jack said to you after he pushed your last suitcase into Kate’s black Jeep.

           You looked at Jack, “Sorry?”

“You’re waiting for Nate,” Jack said and leaned into you with an elbow against the trunk of the car. “Johnson told me what happened.”

“What?” You breathed, feeling a sense terror fill your body as your heart dropped. Johnson hadn’t reacted the way you thought he would have when you told him that you and Nate had been seeing each other for the past 4 months, all he had done was pull you closer and told you that you had done the right thing. But Jack, you weren’t sure how Jack would react because Jack was like Sammy, he was more flirtier. He loved caging you in and making you blush, that was his thing with you.

All the boys had a thing when it came to you. Johnson’s was taking you places you hadn’t been before, Jack’s was caging you in and saying whatever he could to see your cheeks light up like a ripe tomato, Sammy’s was dancing with you at parties and not letting anyone else be your dancing partner and Nate; well Nate had been your secret boyfriend. He did what all the boys did but 10 times better and then some.

Jack half smiled, “I always knew it, I just didn’t want to think that one of us actually caught your heart.”

“Why?” You questioned, pulling your eyebrows together in confusion as you looked up at him.

“Because it meant that you weren’t mine.” Jack said simply and quietly.

You began to smile, “Yeah, okay, Jack.”

Jack laughed and pulled you into him. He sighed after a couple minutes and kissed your forehead, “Nate may be hurt, but he wouldn’t miss saying goodbye to you.”

“Y/N, we can’t wait any longer; we have to go.” Kate said softly after coming out of your house.

Tears immediately stung your eyes and you dug your face deeper into Jack’s chest, Nate wasn’t here. He wasn’t coming to say goodbye one last time. “Okay,” You whispered and pulled away from Jack, turning your head for a couple seconds so you could wipe the fallen tears away. You took a deep breath and you walked around to the side of the car where Sammy and Johnson were standing, Sammy held something behind his back; you smirked at him and stood in front of him. “What do you have, Sammy?” You asked them.

You looked at Sammy and felt your heart drop into your stomach, he looked so sad, his eyes were glossy with tears but he found a way to smile as he pulled out his favorite sweatshirt that you always tried to steal from him but he always got it back. “Sammy,” You said quietly and looked up at him.

He placed it in your hands and shrugged, “You always wore it more than I did anyways.”

That was a lie, but you couldn’t bring yourself to call him out on it. Tears welled up in your eyes as Sammy stepped into you before tears fell down his face, wrapping his arms around your shoulders and digging his face into your neck. Your free hand held onto the back of his shirt and before he pulled away and gripped your cheeks with his hands, he sniffed and got control of himself. You looked up at him and he gave you a smile, “If UCLA isn’t treating you well, you’re always welcome at my house, okay?”

You grinned and leaned in to give him a kiss on the cheek, “Okay, Sammy.”

Sammy dropped his grip on you and you turned to Johnson, he shook his head. “I’m not saying goodbye to you,” He said, “because this isn’t the last time I’ll see you.”

Your grin slipped from your face and you jumped into his arms, he caught you easily and held you there for what seemed like hours, but was only minutes. You kissed his cheek as you stepped back, “I’ll see you soon then.”

Johnson smiled and nodded, “I’ll see you soon.”

You took a deep breath and looked at Jack, who was leaning against Kate’s car, and found him standing there with his hands dug in his pockets, staring at you the way he always did when he was caging you in, the way he did when he whispered dirty and sweet things, like he held a secret; one he would die before telling. You walked up to him, clutching Sammy’s sweater into your stomach. “You know,” you started, “it’s not like I’m moving to Europe, you can always call me.”

“As much as I love hearing your voice at 3 in the morning when I can’t sleep, it’s you being in my arms whenever I needed that I’m going to miss the most.”

And there you have it. The kind of words that Jack always said to make you blush, instead of making you blush, all it did was make you sad. Too be honest, if you hadn’t loved Nate as much as you did, Jack could have easily held your heart the way Nate did, but you would have never told anyone that not only because of how much in love with Nate you were, but also because you knew how persistent Jack could be; you had seen him with Leigh and damn could that boy work for what he wanted.

You walked into Jack, not bothering to wrap your arms around his waist, you just walked into him and rested on him, his arms around your shoulders as he gave one last kiss to your head. “You’ll come back for me, right? When the dream calms down, you’ll find me right?” You asked quietly.

Jack pulled away slightly so he could see you, “I’ll come back for you always,”

“Even if you’re married with kids,” Johnson said.

“You’ll always belong with us, Y/N.” Sammy said.

Coming out series (Harry Styles imagine) PART 3

So this is part three of a mini series I decided to do. It’s about your relationship coming out, for the whole world to know. Unexpected. Not planned. And Harry and you entering a long rollercoaster of emotions, that doesn’t seem to have an end. (part 1part 2)

Part 3 (Harry POV)

‘This is going to be amazing.’ Zayn said next to me. Zayn wasn’t really the man of much words, but it was obvious that he was very excited to play in front of this crowd in Wembley Stadium. All of us were actually. It was nice to be home. It was nice to have our families here. And I knew it meant a lot for especially Zayn. He wasn’t able to see Perrie as much as I saw my girl. Perrie was busy herself. So I felt happy for him she was here now.

‘Right you are.’ I smirked while we placed ourselves on the platform. Liam came standing next to me and we shared a crooked smile. Because this was by far our favourite part of the show. Entering the stage. The adrenaline rushing through my veins. The screaming of the crowd. And the melodies of our awesome intro video. Seeing the screen in front of us go up and meeting the enormous crowds, show after show. I didn’t even realize that much people existed. You know numbers. But it’s only when you see them in front of you, you realize how much it actually is. It hit me every time.

‘One minute to go!’ I heard one of the crew members yell. And immediately we all placed our hands together and we looked at each other. With the biggest smiles on our faces. Ready to kill this performance.

‘For our families.’ Zayn said.

‘For our fans.’ Louis added.

‘For love.’ I agreed.

And then we shook on it.

The video started and I closed my eyes. How was it that even after all the shows I ever did, I still got nervous. I guessed it wasn’t going away. And I doubted if I wanted it to away. Because this made it feel more real to me.

Then I did what I always did just before a show. Something that made my heart go steady again. I thought about her. Because I knew that whatever I was about to do on stage, it wouldn’t bother her. I knew that she was there no matter what and it felt so great. And the fact that she was mine. And nobody was there to call her bad things or judge her or judge us, felt actually very good.

‘Harry?’ I heard Louis’ voice say on the other end of the platform.

‘Shit.’ Zayn added. ‘Harry you need to see this.’

‘Guys, I am preparing for going on stage to perform for sixty thousand people. Can I have a mome-…’ But I stopped myself when I looked up at where they were looking at: the little monitor next to the platform. It showed us the stage. It showed us what was going on. It showed us the video playing for all the people. It showed us… the wrong video. Eleanor and Perrie were going crazy in a desert with random winter clothes on. And next appeared Niall and Lotti dancing around in their swimming wear ready to dive into a green screen pool.

‘Turn that off.’ I whispered, not really to anyone in particular. I knew she was about to come on. We were about to come on. And I wanted someone to prevent that from happening. ‘TURN THAT DAMN VIDEO OFF!’ I screamed and immediately people noticed what was going on.

‘This is the wrong video!’ Liam added, slightly less panicked but still very confused out it.

I heard Zayn starting to yell as well. Along with Louis. And at some point I heard Niall too. Although for him it wasn’t really that bad. He was yelling for Y/N. They all were. Because that was what we all could see standing in the newspapers and magazines the next day.

‘This is not happening… Not happening.’ I groaned. There was no way I ever felt more angry in my life. Especially involving One Direction. But this was not only One Direction. It was my private life. My girlfriend. Everything I wanted to keep for myself. Everything she wanted to keep for herself. There were so much more people who deserved it to know first.

And then I saw her on the monitor. We kissed. We laughed. We had the time of our lives. And it was too late. We couldn’t take it back. Everyone saw it. And the video was on its end. The screen was rising and I needed to gather everything to be able to look somewhat okay. But I knew I wasn’t. And I knew everyone was going to see it. And all I could do was pray, that it wouldn’t be as bad as we expected it to be.

The show started. We sang midnight memories. And it all just seemed like a big blur. I couldn’t enjoy myself, although I tried my hardest for the crowd. Louis ran up to me at some point. ‘Go for a wee after the third song. Go and see her. She probably knows by now. Just don’t make it too long.’ He said so fast I hardly was able to keep up, but somehow I did.

I nodded and did what he said. I was glad he told me. I needed someone to tell me what to do right now because I wasn’t able to figure it out for myself anymore at this point.

So after the third song I announced myself going for a wee and I ran through the backstage as fast as I could until I found her with the girls.

‘You need to leave.’ Was the first thing I said, completely out of breath. ‘You need to leave. Go home. Before the show is over.’

‘But-…’ She wanted to say, but I didn’t let her speak.

‘Lou, did you check twitter yet?’ I saw Lou on her phone and her face already answered for her.

‘It’s not good. Everyone is confused. They want to know who she is. Some people think it’s just a stunt, but other’s feel like there is more to it. It’s not looking good, Harry.’ She said with a sad look.

I nodded, waited a couple of seconds and looked back at my girlfriend again. ‘You have to promise me you’ll not google yourself. Okay?’

‘Harry…’

‘No. Promise me. When I go back on the stage, you pack your things and go home. I’ll send Paul to go with you. You don’t look yourself up on twitter, tumblr, facebook or other social media.’

‘But I want to stay with you.’ The way she said that, broke my heart because I wanted nothing but the same. I wanted nothing other than have her with me. But I couldn’t do that. Because I had no clue what was going to happen now. And I needed her to be okay.

I cupped her face and kissed her lips with so much passion, not caring about all the eyes in the room. And it was so incredibly hard to let go of her again.

‘Please… Just… Promise me. I’ll call you tonight and we’ll talk about it.’ I tried one last time, knowing that if she would start crying at this point, I wouldn’t be able to continue this plan.

But she nodded. Thank God, she nodded. ‘I promise…’ Her voice broke, just like my heart.

‘Mom. Make sure she is okay.’ I said, after I kissed her lips goodbye one last time. And then I disappeared to the stage again.

Leaving everything I loved behind.

And feeling like shit.

Part 4

NOTE: Thank you so much to all the people sending me messages about them wanting to know how it goes on :-) It truly brightens my day to know that you like this series, just like I love writing it!

It’s official: Our deck is gone! All those old, warped wooden planks have been torn up, leaving behind two sad-looking beams and a big stretch of dirt. I took a nap on one of the beams in memory of all my wonderful adventures on our deck.

Mommy had one last surprise in store for me: All those pieces of wood were piled up nearby, so I did get one more romp on my favorite old planks!

I'll Be There For You (Harry Styles)

Based on an idea given by vanessnettness ! i hope you like it, love!

———————————————————————

“I feel horrible for not being able to see you tonight” Harry said through the phone.

I let out a chuckle, flipping through the script that was lying in front of me. “Hey, It’s okay, really. Mom’s gonna record it all”

“Yeah, but it won’t be the same,” he said. “I wanted to watch you live and I could’ve been able to get there in time if my flight didn’t get canceled. It sucks”

“I know. I wanna see you so bad!” I whined, sitting straight on the bed.

“I wanna see you too, you don’t know how much I’ve missed you,” he said, a hint of sadness in his voice. “And I won’t get to see your play”

“Harry, there’s still three more shows to go after this one, It’s not over yet” I told him.

“Yeah, but-”

“Hush,” I cut him off. “You will get the opportunity to see me on stage. Maybe not tonight, but you will this week! It saddens me as well that you won’t be able to make it early, but at least you’ll be back after the show! And we’ll see each other again, and we’ll make out, and we’ll cuddle, and we’ll eat ice cream right from tube”

I heard his laugh from the other line. A sound that it was angelic to me. “That sounds amazing, babe. I’m really looking forward to it”

“Me too” I said, smiling just at the thought of it.

“Y/N, I love you” he said softly.

My eyes watered as I heard those 3 words coming out of his mouth, but I tried to contain myself and not get too emotional. I was gonna see him later and I was gonna keep him for 3 more months until he goes back to tour again. “And I love you, Harry”

“No you don’t, you love Clyde” he joked, in reference to my part as Bonnie in the play ‘Bonnie and Clyde’.

“Oh my God, Harry. That was a horrible joke!,” I said, pressing my hand against my forehead and shaking my head as he giggled. “Seriously, the worst you’ve ever made!”

“Okay, okay, no more bad jokes until later!” He said, and I couldn’t help but to laugh at his silliness.

“Whatever,” I said. Then, I sighed. “Well, I gotta leave you now, babe, I’m gonna take a shower and get ready to go to the theater”

“Okay then, I’ll just be here with the boys. They all wish you good luck, by the way” he said, and at that moment, the boys’ voices were heard in the background, yelling things like 'Good luck!’ and 'We love you, Y/N!’.

Rolling my eyes and chuckling at them, I said, “Tell them that thanks and that I love them all”

“Will do,” Harry said. “Well, until later, kitten. Say hi to your mom and your grandparents for me. And I’m sure you’ll do as amazing as you always do”

Blushing at his words, I brushed a strain of hair behind my ear. “Thanks, babe. I’ll do my best. Love you”

“Love you more”

After I hung up, I let out a long sigh. Of course I was feeling pretty bummed out that Harry couldn’t make it to the play, but at least I knew that he and the lads were rooting for me from wherever they were at the moment. So, closing the script and placing the phone on the night table, I made my way to the shower.

***

Everything went perfect.

The scenario, the acting, the outfits, the dialogue, the emotions, the timing… all just according to plan, as some might say. Of course, at first I was really nervous, but as the show went on I kept gaining a grain of confidence and I gave it my all. And everyone else was amazing, too. So amazing that the crowd gave us all a standing ovation, and I couldn’t be more proud of myself and the others. I felt thankful for them because they picked me and made me understudy the part, and they gave me the opportunity to show my skills and passion for the theater. I could see my mom and my grandparents on the crowd, standing up and clapping hard, mom with tears down her cheeks. The sight made me emotional, as well, and I wiped away the tears as all of the people who contributed to the play stood on the stage, grabbed each other’s hands, and gave a bow as a thank you to the audience. When the curtains fell down, I squealed, all of us gathering together for a group hug. This was definitely our best show yet.

When we reached the backstage, my co-star, Brandon, gave me a high five, looking happy himself. “Man, that was amazing!,” he said. “It feels so great to go out and do your thing!”

“I know, right? My heart’s still beating so fast!” I said, taking my wig off.

“We should go celebrate, don’t you think? Go get some drinks, eat some fried chicken, whatever” he said.

I chuckled. “I’m up for it”

“Great!,” he gave me two thumbs up, grinning. “Apparently, you’re the only one, 'cause everyone else has something else to do!”

I laughed. At that same moment, I heard my name being called and when I turned around, my mom and my grandparents were making their way towards me. Mom was the first one to hug me tight. “Oh, sweetie, I am so proud of you!,” she said, tears still in her eyes. “I just can’t stop thinking about the fact that you’ve always wanted to act and now here you are! You’ve come so far, my dear”

“Thanks for the support, mom,” I told her and she gave me a warm smile. Then I walked towards my grandparents, grandad with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. “I’m glad you guys could make it”

“Oh, we wouldn’t have missed it for a thing,” grandad said, handing me the flowers. “You were wonderful”

“Thanks, grandad” I gave him a thankful smile.

“Say, Y/N, where’s that lovely boyfriend of yours?” Grandma asked.

“Oh, he couldn’t make it, his flight got canceled at the last minute,” I replied, her nodding. “He should be arriving later, though”

“Well, I’m sure he’s just as proud of you as we are. You have an amazing talent, Y/N” she said, pinching my cheeks. I blushed at the compliment.

“So, should we get going?” Mom said.

“Um, actually mom, I was gonna go and grab a few drinks with Brandon over here” I said, standing next to him. He waved at them, smiling.

“Oh! Well, okay then, but go easy on the drinks!” Mom said, chuckling.

I nodded, rolling my eyes at her. “Of course”

“Good,” she said, smiling. “Just call me when you get home, okay?”

“Sure thing”

And with one last goodbye at the three of them, they walked away. I turned to Brandon. “Your grandparents are the cutest” he said.

“I know,” I smiled at him. “Just let me get out of this costume and then we can go, okay?”

“Okay”

After I got changed out of Bonnie’s clothes and put on something comfortable (http://www.polyvore.com/celebration/set?id=165061515), I met Brandon at the exit and he drove us to the nearest bar. We sat down on a table, ordered some drinks, and Brandon ordered an appetizer as well. The drinks came first and he was quick to raise his glass. “Cheers. To Bonnie and Clyde. Played by the amazing and handsome young actors Brandon Lopez and Y/N Y/L/N”

Chuckling, I raised my glass as well. “To Bonnie and Clyde”

Clinking our glasses together, we took a sip of the alcohol at the same time. “This is the life,” he said. “We have these drinks, we have acting careers, the both of us have a beautiful boyfriend and girlfriend… what’s not to love?”

I nodded in agreement. “You know, I never expected my life to be this way. I’ve always wanted to be an actress, but I never thought I could actually make it. But now here I am, playing Bonnie Parker for a whole week. Tell me, Brandon, do you wanna act on the big screen, or do you wanna stick with the stage?”

Taking another gulp of his drink, he answered. “I’m gonna be honest, It’d be awesome to make it to the big screen. I mean, you have a better chance to be known and all. But I think acting on stage, live, is so much better. You’re there, the crowd’s watching you, you feel their presence and they feel yours. It’s a better atmosphere, in my opinion”

“Yeah, I know what you mean,” I said. “The crowd’s cheers is your adrenaline booster and when they applause really loud… It’s beautiful”

“But yeah, one day I hope I get a lead role in Hollywood movies. Maybe alongside Johnny Depp or Morgan Freeman”

“Or Meryl Streep, it would be so cool!” I added excitedly.

As the both of us laughed loudly, I heard a voice calling my name. Furrowing my eyebrows, I scanned the bar to see who was calling me. My eyes landed on a man who was making his way towards our table, a drunk smile on his face, and I held my breath for a second. It couldn’t be… “Shit” I muttered.

“What’s wrong?” Brandon asked, but I didn’t look at him.

“Y/N, my dear, It’s been so long since we last saw each other!” The man slurred, leaning close for a hug. But I stood up before he could even touch me.

“D-dad… what are you doing here?” I asked, my voice coming out shaky.

“I was having a drink, I saw you, and I decided to come and say hi!,” he answered. “How you’ve been?”

“Are you serious?,” was all that I could manage to say. “Are you fucking kidding me right now?”

He pouted. God, he was really drunk. “What? I just wanted to hug my daughter”

“No,” I said, stepping away. “No, I don’t wanna be near you right now. Not now, not ever. So just… please, leave me alone”

“But I-”

“Sir,” Brandon cut him off, standing up as well. “I think she told you to leave her alone”

My dad glared at him. “Who the fuck are you, huh? This is none of your business, so stay out of it!”

Brandon shook his head. “I’m afraid I can’t do that”

“Let’s just go, Brandon” I said, tugging at his arm, noticing how they were now glaring at each other intensely.

“Yeah, you should. Before I kick his ass” dad said, grabbing my forgotten drink from the table and gulping it down completely.

With one last glare at him, I dragged Brandon to the out of the bar, not before looking for our waiter and paying him for the drinks. When we reached the car and got inside, I was grateful for the peace and quiet. “Y/N, you okay?” Brandon asked.

I nodded. “I-I’m fine. I just…”

And then, I couldn’t help it. The sobs were uncontrollable and so were the tears. Rubbing my back softly, Brandon let me cry without saying anything. He knew I haven’t seen my dad for years and that he was a drunk, and that I didn’t want to see him ever again. And seeing him after the huge success at the theater… it just ruined my mood completely.

***

When we reached my flat, Brandon turned to me. “You know that if you need something, don’t hesitate on calling me, okay?” He said

I nodded. “Thanks, Brandon. You’re the best”

He smiled. “Yeah, I know”

Despite that I was still shocked and angry, I managed to let out a laugh. “Whatever”

“Well, this is it,” he said. “I’ll see you tomorrow, yeah?”

“Yeah,” I said, giving him a short hug. “Bye then. Drive carefully”

“I will. Bye Y/N” he said as I hopped out of the car.

Once I closed the door, he pulled away, and I waved at him until he was out of sight. I sent a text to mom indicating that I was already home, on my way to the elvator. I wasn’t gonna tell her about my encounter with dad, and I wasn’t gonna tell my grandparents either. They were so happy tonight, I didn’t wanna ruin the night for them!

When I opened the door and got inside the flat, I went straight to my room. I removed my makeup, let my hair loose, and I changed into some pj’s. And when I laid down on the bed, I couldn’t help but to cry some more.

***

“Y/N? I’m here, babe!”

The voice came from the living room. Sitting up straight, I recognized it immediately. I can’t believe that I almost forgot that Harry was coming! And I was so relieved that he was here, I needed him too much at this moment.

Standing up from the bed, I ran towards the living room, where he was taking off his jacket. As soon as his eyes spotted me, he grinned widely. “Y/N!”

“Harry” I breathed, running towards him and wrapping my legs around his waist. My arms wrapped around his neck and I heard him laugh as we stumbled a bit.

“God, I missed you so, so much,” he said, looking into my eyes when we pulled away. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “Have you been crying, love?”

“I…” I unwrapped myself completely from him. Now standing in front of him, I ran a hand through my hair. “I saw my… dad”

It took him a moment to realize what I just said, and when he did his eyes started to widen slowly. “W-what? But… I thought that… how did this happen?”

Trying hard not to cry again, I started explaining. “After the show was over, Brandon and I went out to get some drinks, like some sort of celebration. And everything was fine, we were just having a conversation, when all of a sudden dad came towards us. A-and… he was drunk, as always, trying to know how I was and all… but I didn’t want to speak to him, so we just left. But it was horrible, Harry, I was panicking on the inside! I hate it when he’s drunk!”

“Oh baby,” he said, wrapping his arms around me once more. “It’s okay, I’m here. I know it affects you, but you have a whole life ahead of you. And no matter what happens, I’m always gonna be here for you”

I gave him a small smile and a sniff, a small tear falling down. But he was quick to wipe it away with his thumb. “You promise?”

“I promise,” he said, sounding and looking sincere. And then, he kissed me, sending sparks throughout my whole body. It felt like forever since I felt them, and I instantly kissed him back, taking in the heavenly taste of his lips. My hands automatically went up to his curls, which had grown longer since the last time I saw him at the airport. It was only after a few seconds that he pulled away, making me groan mentally. I wanted to kiss him all night, it was like I was addicted to his lips. Pressing our foreheads together, he whispered, “I bought you some mint chocolate chip ice cream. We can just watch TV and eat the whole thing tonight”

Smiling and grabbing the collar of his shirt, I kissed him once more. “Maybe later” I murmured against his lip, earning a smirk from him.
