so something I saw on twitter yesterday really bugged me. there’s people saying that the Power Rangers movie is getting way more credit than is due because of the way they handle Trini’s sexuality
ok LISTEN. It was never going to be the case of Trini yelling, “IM A LESBIAN!” or “IM BISEXUAL!” there’s no way they’d be so upfront about it. I thought the scene where she came out was nice, subtle, emotional, and I thought it was in-character how she’s still sarcastic at such a time. After all Trini is what, 15/16/17 in the movie? She’s discovering herself and doesn’t have to be 100% sure. there’s time for that
cuz get this. it’s the first movie. they’ve said there’s going to be 5-7 of them? People are acting like this is the end and we’ll never see her come to terms with this and that she’ll never label herself (though sticking to no labels is fine too of course)
The Power Rangers movie DOES deserve a round of applause for including an LGBT character, just because they didn’t go about it as directly as you would’ve liked doesn’t make it any less amazing. This is a small stepping stone you guys we’re going to see her character grow more confident throughout the franchise and it’s going to be beautiful
-travels with you as a trusted member of your inner circle for the better part of a year and then vanishes and shows up two years later to reveal his plan to literally destroy the world and oh yeah he's also immortal and a god and ALSO the conflict of the whole game was basically his fault-
-hides that he's a crime boss for a few weeks/months so he can assassinate a tyrant-
He’d had time to pour over
the briefing from S.H.I.E.L.D. and only enough time to try and process in the
quinjet on the way to what Coulson was calling a Helicarrier.
He felt both awe and
reticence when he watched the files on Stark.
He was intelligent and reckless and made Steve think a little of himself
and, much like he felt in his own skin, he wondered how much of Stark was a
He felt guilt watching
Banner. Of all the advances made in the
twenty-first century and still Erskine had been so beyond his time that no one
had yet caught up to him. The
fascination with the serum – with what Steve represented – had led Banner to a
prison made out of his own skin. (He
would wonder, later, how far off the trial serum had been in Banner’s case, I’m always angry, echoing in his head).
He felt dumbstruck at the
possibility of Thor’s existence. For all
that he had seen in the life he’d had Before, he never thought – he’d seen the vast expanse of the cosmos,
before Schmidt had disappeared into it, but he hadn’t thought that there’d be
something else –someone else – out
there. It made him wonder if Schmidt was
still out there, too.
He’d watched and
re-watched the footage of Strike Team Delta – Natasha Romanoff and Clint
Barton. He was. He was awed, and looked forward to meeting
them most of all. As far as the
information from S.H.I.E.L.D. had noted, they had no enhancements. They had pasts, sure, but they had no serum
or otherworldly abilities or suits worth millions.
They were human, made of blood and sweat and hours
upon hours of practice and (to read their files) abuse and perseverance and
they were as skilled and fearsome a team as any of the others recommended on
Steve thought of his time
Before, he and Bucky, back alleys and bloody lips and scraped knuckles and how hard it was to survive and here were two
people so dedicated, so skilled they may as well have been a two-person
Commando unit. Were, as far as Steve was concerned. He was anxious to meet them.
have always been close friends but it never really became anything more until one day one of the members is like "you know you and hoseok act like a couple" and gi denies it but then he starts noticing things like he catches himself gazimg fondly at hoseok whenever hes telling a story or how his fingers burn to touch him when hes close by and how he can read his expressions and body cues so naturally and how he quietly spoils hoseok and hes like fuck we do act like a couple
and hobi is like ive always liked yoongi hyung bc hes so gentle with me but he let his feelings become general affection and even if it made him sad he didnt want gi to feel bad so he kept it to himself but he notices that yoongi is more touchy with him and the boys go on this haunted maze thing (taekook's idea)and yoongi goes with hoseok, he feels the butterflies when yoongi takes his hands in his bc he knows seok is a weenie but seok also sees yoongi's ears turned red due to blushing so he smiles and the soft affection simply grows stronger until everyone just kind of accepts that yoonseok are together without them having to say anything. they dont say anything bc they dont need to and just like how the grass is green and the earth is round are universal truths, yoonseok loving each other is also a universal truth
What do you think are ichiruki's most iconic scenes
there’s too many…
jk i was gonna attempt to be funny and just upload all the volume covers for bleach but you know what? not today. this post will probably be very image heavy, sorry in advance. my favorite moments are the following.
what started it all. thanks to these two the bleach manga became as successful as it once was. i don’t think there is a more iconic introduction.
they understand each other even without needing words :’)
…do i need to explain this one…
AN ICONIC END TO AN ICONIC ARC
stopped crying immediately after he saw her and the rain was stopped once again #herimpact. aaaand the MOST iconic moment imo is
i know it’s a pretty generic answer BUT even though i was a shipper before this moment happened i still think it’s what sealed the deal w ichiruki for many. this scene alone can destroy any argument antis try to use. an absolutely beautiful chapter. kubo did a great job for once expressing emotions through eyes on this one!
