It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for me to give you my thoughts on something. AKA review it. Today we’re looking at 3 hair treatments meant to bring life back to your windblown, heat damaged, summer hair. Use any of these products once a week to keep your fragile locks happy and healthy.
What We're Loving: A Hair Oil That Repairs Split Ends
We’ve tried dozens of hair oils in our time—so many, in fact, that we consider ourselves connoisseurs. Our latest discovery: Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum. This instant frizz-tamer feels incredibly lightweight and turns our hair soft and smooth without weighing it down.
The secret to the formula is ojon oil, a red hot ingredient that’s poised to become the next argan oil (look out, Josie Maran!). Sourced from Central American rainforests, this hydrating oil comes from the nut of the ojon tree, and it’s harvested by hand. When you run it through your hair, it helps restore shine, boost volume, and repair all kinds of heat and styling damage. Plus, it has the amazing ability to mend our stubborn split ends, so we can grow our hair to Rapunzel-like lengths without veering into unkempt territory. All you have to do is run a few drops through wet or dry hair, then style as usual.
Another hair serum we adore? Kérastase’s Elixir Ultime, which is packed with four essential oils and doesn’t feel the least bit sticky.
magical hair stuff. I got the standard shampoo and conditioner (well not standard, they’re the Ojon damage repair line as well) for my birthday and then mum sprung this up on me yesterday.
apparently, your hair grows like wildfire after using it for a bit because it completely stops it from breaking. Results are immediate and all sorts of people with different hair types also swear by it so I’m looking forward to results.
I think this is the only line of products that actually repair your hair from the inside. I know it’s a big statement to make because of the whole ‘the damage is irreversible unless you cut all your hair off’ but i guess i’ll find out soon enough!
Because I have colour treated hair, (I bleach it way too much for my own good) I decided to purchase this because of Lou’s recommendation. I bought it at Sephora, I opted for the 1.5oz bottle which was $42.00. (There is a smaller one available, a 0.5oz for $17.00)
It’s not a very BIG bottle but you really don’t need to use a lot. I bought mine in December and I still have half a bottle (and I use it everyday). You need to really shake the bottle first to mix up the oils, but it works fabulously! It really has helped my hair feel nice again. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs some serious hydration for their hair.
The only drawback for this though, is that the bottle doesn’t have a pump, so if you mess up and pour too much out it’s really difficult to get back inside the bottle. Also if you put too much on your hair it is VERY oily for a day. Overall though if you’re careful you shouldn’t have any issues!
In short, give this product a shot! It really is worth it if your hair was as bad off as mine was before I started using it!
