Clear up in northern Japan, a few kilometers away from Lake Towada, lies one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in this world. It’s named Oirase Gorge, and I have been absolutely blessed to be able to spend hours hiking through it’s rich dense forest with my camera.
The gorge has been cut through years of erosion by a small river which feeds into the nearby lake. In it’s formation dozens of small waterfalls developed along the way making it the ultimate spot for slow shutter photography. On an early morning I captured this frame, the dim light giving me the long open shutter that makes that water silky smooth.
