Season 3 will inevitably be the last. With the introduction of Katrina 2.0 as a new regular, I do not think I will be able to withstand watching this season in its entirety. I have nothing against Nikki Reed–she’s a fine actress. My beef is with the writers and whomever is calling the shots on this show. Last season wrapped up so nicely and I was like,”"FINALLY.” We had our scoobies, our beloved foursome of Ichabod, Abbie, Irving, Jenny, whom despite our love for them, are extremely underdeveloped, need more growth and backstory….and the what happens?
Cancelled SDCC panel.
Orlando Jones inexplicably cut from the cast.
I may throw up.
On a side note, I am a young, white female and even I think the new line up of faces is pretty racist! They axe the black guy–despite him being a fan favorite mind you– and shove a new white girl into the main cast? Really? Are we regressing backwards?
OHP, IT’S ALREADY THAT TIME FOLKS, ANOTHER ROUND OF ‘WHAT SLEEPY WRITERS SHOULD HAVE DONE”
-kept the Scooby gang as our main foursome and focus (Ichabod, Abbie, Irving, Jenny)
-side-characters that would be more interesting to fans if they were further developed rather than tossed away as they have been: Macie (sp?), Corbin’s son, that red-headed revolutionary war reenactor chick (OH WAIT, SHE DIED AFTER 2 episodes, lol), the bitchy new police chief, that angel dude who is totes a bad guy (sorry, his name eludes me as well…Orion???) and…more Cho. Hell, more purgatory, oh wait, I digress…
-quit bringing in boring newcomers. Develop older regulars.
-make Ichabbie officially a thing, even if it’s slow burn.
