oh those guys!

I’ve written a little for my book after writing a section of my outline. I’m now finishing the outline completely before continuing with the writing of the actual novel.

Outline Word count: 6,611 (Yes, I go crazy on outlines)

Total word count: 20,893 (which is exciting because for my first outline I’m writing very basically - like shortening descriptions, as I’ll be adding more detail on the next draft)

I’m currently working very hard to make the feeling of the book less like “Oh! those guys are the BAD guys,” and more like “perhaps there is no distinctive BAD and corrupt side of the fight, like both sides have their opinions, their up’s and down’s, and either side could be equal good as bad,”

No bad side, but some bad people ;’)

Thank you for remembering Kinoshita and Narita in your karasuno art!!!

thank you for noticing them!!!

I really love the background characters in this scene:

At first they’re like “what’s going on over there”

But then, once Yuuri pushes Victor to the ground and straddles him, they’ve all conveniently turned around

like “oh it’s just those guys making out in public again”

The Smart Way

A long time ago, I worked at a big-box store, pulling boxes off trucks, stacking them on pallets, and sending the pallets out to the sales floor to stock. It was hot, tiring, and not particularly fun, but they paid me, so that was good enough.

I had a coworker that those of us in the warehouse liked to call Crackhead. Crackhead wasn’t really a bad guy, but his choice of vice was really beginning to affect those around him. Unfortunately, he had an industrious, git-‘er-done attitude, which management absolutely loved; if a supervisor told him to run head-first into a brick wall, he’d do it with a smile. Which, I suppose, isn’t all that bad either, at least as far as management is concerned. Except… “charging head-first into a brick wall” was his go-to strategy. If the boxes on the beat-up conveyor belt got stuck, his solution was to shove as hard as he could, slamming the boxes into each other until something broke or fell off and everything started moving again. Of all the breakage we experienced that wasn’t broken in transit, 90% of it was from Crackhead. We lost gallons of paint because he wanted to know what the bottom of the paint box looked like. We lost a case of shampoo because he opened it to see what it smelled like, and dropped it on the cement floor. We even lost our lunch hour once because he somehow broke the time-clock so we couldn’t clock in or out for lunch, and told management that everyone had “totally had taken lunch already” and “oh man, those guys are so lazy, they want two lunch breaks.”

Person: says something awful and homophobic discriminating against people who are gay/bi.

Same person a moment later claiming people are bullying them because those people called them a homophobe:

Summary: (Name) met George in her third year after being pushed down. After another year, what will happen when George has to find a way to keep his feelings for her in check?

To say she was shy would be an understatement.

She had a quiet voice, but a loud mind. That loud mind of hers was full of brilliant facts and opinions, but the quiet voice that she had held everything back.

And to say that it bothered George would be an understatement as well.

No, George was almost offended that she refused to speak your mind. He couldn’t really understand why (Name) felt the need to hide all of her wonderful thoughts, but that didn’t mean he didn’t respect it.

George and his twin met (Name) when she came to Hogwarts at the age of eleven. At the time they were second years who in all honesty didn’t care much for her.

It’s not like they disliked her, they just didn’t know her well enough to care.

However, that all changed when they witnessed her being pushed down in her third year by some fourth year jerks.

head canon time: kent’s older sister plays in the nwhl and kent hella looks up to her (you know she still regularly picks him up and physically moves him if he’s annoying her). whenever her team plays and kent has time, he turns up to watch. and when kent starts dating tater he brings him along as well. nobody is surprised by that. however, nobody is expecting the wave of people that follow because tater is friends with everybody plus he’s able to make it to more games as the falconers are a lot closer than the aces. so whenever kent’s sister plays a home game, there’s a gaggle of Very Invested and Loud russians and falconers. the visiting teams are always slightly bemused at the absurd amount of nhl players at the games; their opponents just shrug their shoulders and go, ‘oh, those guys? yeah i guess they just like good hockey.’

also: the chirps the guys get from the players are brutal. tater is delighted. he’s even more delighted when he and a few other of the falconers get invited to a pr practice session. and you bet he’s absolutely elated when kent’s 5′4″ sister checks him so hard into the boards that he goes flat on his face. one photographer crouched nearby gets a truly brilliant shot as he goes down. kent has it framed on his trophy shelf.
