The Music Lesson/Oh, Sing Sweet Nightingale - My Cover
Omg, I have been trying to sing this song FOREVER! This is one of my favorite Disney songs, too (Gee, every Disney song I sing is “one of my favorites”). Most people probably overlook this song but.. the harmonies are SO beautiful to listen to, yet so tricky to figure out! And if you’re even a half-step off it’s gonna sound awkzzzzz.
BUT I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT I THINK! So here’s me singing as princess-y as I can hahaha. I haven’t sung this high in a while trololol
And yeah, obviously that’s not me singing the Lady Tremaine/Drizella parts lololol, just Cinderella’s. But use headphones so you can hear the harmoniezZSZss!1!!1!!!!1!!1 purdy stuf!1!!!
CINDERELLA 1950 BEAUTIFUL OPENING TITLES AND GORGEOUS SCENERY
Once upon a time in a faraway land, there was a tiny kingdom, peaceful, prosperous, and rich in romance and tradition. Here in a stately chateau, there lived a widowed gentleman and his little daughter, Cinderella. Although he was a kind and devoted father, and gave his beloved child every luxury and comfort, still he felt she needed a mother’s care. And so he married again, choosing for his second wife a woman of good family with two daughters just Cinderella’s age, by name, Anastasia and Drizella. It was upon the untimely death of this good man, however, that the stepmother’s true nature was revealed. Cold, cruel, and bitterly jealous of Cinderella’s charm and beauty, she was grimly determined to forward the interests of her own two awkward daughters. Thus, as time went by, the chateau fell into disrepair, for the family fortunes were squandered upon the vain and selfish stepsisters while Cinderella was abused, humiliated, and finally forced to become a servant in her own house. And yet, through it all, Cinderella remained ever gentle and kind, for with each dawn she found new hope that someday her dreams of happiness would come true.
[hi it’s the girl who asked for submissions because I’m a butt]
The Grump Space always ended up quietest when everyone was on the computers. With recording over for the day, Dan sighed and stood up. “I’m gonna go fix myself something to drink.” His mouth felt dry, and there was only one way to solve that.
Receiving only small noises in response, Danny walked to the kitchen. It was quaint but colorful, with a few things misplaced. The dishes in the little sink bothered him, even if Barry swore he’d do them within the hour. “Ah, fuck it.” He’d be sure the bear hybrid would appreciate the gesture.
The bubbles rose from the soapy sink as dish after dish were placed on a rack to dry. They floated around before popping, iridescent and fun to look at. He smiled as one popped near him, and flinched. It reminded him of a scene from Cinderella.
Suddenly, the song from that scene seemed to well up inside him. It overtook his mind and his siren song began. “Oh… sing sweet nightingale, sing sweet nightingale…” He felt his own voice harmonize, change, and float in the air like bubbles. They joined together just to break apart and find another to dance the same tango with.
“Sing sweet nightingale…” The voice was beautiful. That was what Arin couldn’t get over. He had taken off his headphones for one moment and the mesmerizing sound filled his ears. “Sing sweet…” His instincts took a hold of him, and he stood slowly. Following the voice, the man slowly changed into his tiger form. The others barely took notice, knowing that Arin sometimes did it to relax.
Instead, he was transfixed by the melody of the looping, twirling, soaring notes of the song. He padded over to the man in the kitchen, who’s eyes were closed as he continued to scrub, shake, and place the dishes on the rack beside him.
Danny wasn’t aware of the company before Arin raised up and placed his paws right on the base of his shoulders, struggling to stand in his tiger form. Eyes clouded with the hypnotization, Arin didn’t even react when Dan dropped a dish and screamed.
[Well ha ha that was fun]
I love anything with Dan accidentally hypnotizing people okay? This is the best
