Miraculous Headcanon

Warning: i have been adding to this headcanon for nearly a month so it is pretty long xD OOPS SORRY NOT SORRY (i did put a cut though, so, yeah) NO REGRETS

  • Marinette is a youtuber
  • Her channel consists of mostly sped up videos of her drawing designs and making her designs. Some have voice over, some have soothing and relaxing music.
  • Her channel blew up
  • Partially because, wow, she’s really talented for only being in high school
  • And people just really enjoyed watching her work, it’s very unique
  • Sometimes she’ll do simple tutorials on how to make a simple skirt, or get started on designing, but those are more rare videos
  • She has a second channel that is less professional than her main, where she posts a bunch of random vlogs that her and Alya take whenever they do something interesting, or even some random challenges. Most of these videos involve Alya, since she got Marinette to make a second channel for fun vlogs
  • Her international followers (#subtitles) find it very interesting anytime she talks about Ladybug and Chat Noir because there are legit superheroes in Paris and no other part of the world has seen that.
  • They vlog all sorts of things
    • going to the craft store for new fabrics, buttons, patterns, literally anything Marinette needs for her next project (or they’re just bored)
    • They record random things they see around Paris, cosplayers of LB and CN, pigeons being weird, aesthetics
    • Alya and Marinette have a weekly “review” which includes Alya buying something for Marinette to review- mostly themed around her favorite heroes
    • Sometimes just walking around the mall. Nino is spotted in many vlogs as well, but Adrien is rarely seen since he is already around so many cameras in his normal life Marinette is respecting his privacy
  • A lot more below the cut because I have been working on this headcanon for nearly a month!

After taking this writing class, you have a newfound respect for all the authors who are willing to put their work out there.

Bring your daughter to work day.

Being a single dad and having a job as demanding as Spencer’s was not easy, but when he saw the little smile on his daughter’s face or felt the way her fist would wrap around his finger, it was all worth it.

In which Spencer gets called into work on what is supposed to be his day off, and it’s so last minute that he has to bring his four month old daughter, Harper, with him.

a/n: based off of this request, i’m making this a series of one shots about spencer and harper so this is the first installment. gif credit to toyboxboy.

Spencer’s hand came down to rest upon his baby girl’s head, he cradled Harper in his arms and as always was overwhelmed with joy and love. She had finally fallen asleep after hours of crying and she now looked peaceful– seemed as though a bottle had done the trick.

Spencer felt as though he was way in over his head since he was a single dad but he was already great at it and had at least some faith in himself. He was off for a few days and could handle it at the moment to get himself together.

Spencer’s phone rang, the shrill sound taking Harper from her peaceful sleep and immediately causing her to burst into tears. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he silently cursed whoever was calling for waking up his baby girl, he was just as tired as she was after a night of not much sleep.

Five words. That’s all it took it break Bucky’s heart.

Five small words that held so much weight that they crushed him entirely on what should have been the best night of his life. He could hear them echoing around in his head, drowning out any other thought he could possibly have. Her voice was all he could hear, even though the words hadn’t been spoken. That part almost made it worse, that he had to guess at what she was feeling. Was she sad? Relieved? Angry? He played the words with different inflections, different tones, even though he should’ve known that she would’ve sounded just as indifferent as her text message felt.

I can’t do this anymore.

That’s all she had said. “I can’t do this anymore.” She didn’t care. She was just done.

Prologue
***************
“Hey, Tony can I–”

“Jesus.” The plate Tony was holding shattered across the kitchen floor when it slipped through his fingers. “Jesus, Steve sorry about that. Sorry.”

“I didn’t mean to startle you.” Steve said with a frown, and Tony just shook his head.

“It’s fine. Just lost a little in my head is all.” He bent down to start cleaning up the mess.

“Let me hel–”

“I got it.” Tony waved him away. “What can I do for you, Captain?”

“Well, I was thinking maybe you could take a look at Bucky’s arm? It’s been freezing up or not flexing or something and it’s hurting him quite a bit. I told him you’d be happy to help him with it.”

Happy to help–” Tony cleared his throat. “That’s fine. But I’m busy, so send him to Banner. He’s got access to everything in the lab anyway.”

“I was hoping you would–”

“I’m busy, Steve.” Tony wiped his hands on his pants and raised his eyebrows. “Banner is smarter than me anyway, he will find a fix faster than I can. Sorry, I just can’t right now. Sorry.”

“Uh, okay. I’ll just take him to Banner then.” Steve sent him an odd look, but turned and left anyway, and Tony sank down into a chair, sitting on his hands so it wasn’t quite as obvious they were shaking.
*******************
“Sorry, Clint, uh, you guys, I didn’t realize you were in here.” Tony did an abrupt about face and headed right back out of the room, and Clint raised his eyebrows.

“Tony. It’s not a problem.”

“I don’t want to intrude.” Tony held up his hands peacefully and Natasha narrowed her eyes at him.

“Since when do you care if you are intruding, just come in and sit down. It’s called a common area, Stark.”

“Lay off.” Sam sent her a sharp glance. “You don’t have to say everything like it’s an insult.”

“Excuse me?” Natasha’s voice rose the slightest bit and Tony coughed loudly.

“Hey, it’s all fine. Let’s not fight okay? No worries, no harm no foul. I know she doesn’t mean anything by it, it’s fine. All I needed was my tablet, it’s just there on the end table, I’ll just grab it.”

“Here, Tony.” Sam tossed it to him and Tony caught it, but just barely, bringing it down to his side before anyone noticed the slip.

“Ok. Ok thanks guys. See ya. Sorry again.” He turned and left, trying to slow his breathing down a little.

He hated when they fought.

The Moon and the Stars

Anonymous said: Can I request Taehyung being your roommate and you’re not aware of his feelings until he comes home drunk 😊😊

Pairing: Taehyung x Reader

Summary: You and Tae are roommates and it’s great. You two get along well and hang out from time to time. One night he comes home from a night of partying, completely wasted, and tells you he’s in love with you. However, given his reputation, that’s not exactly a good thing…

Genre: College/Roommate!auFluff, Angst(ish?)

Word Count: 5,000 (exactly!)

Content: Adorably drunk Tae, some mushy fluff, a little bit of angst, some swearing

A/N: This was supposed to be a drabble but ended up being 5k oops. Partially inspired by Weight Lifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.

Sneak Peak:

Taehyung took your hand and started walking. At that moment you noticed that the clouds had drifted off, revealing the billions of stars that were hidden behind them.

You looked up at the clear night sky. “Look, Tae.” You said, pulling on his sleeve. You used your free hand to point up at moon, which was bright, and full. “Isn’t she beautiful?”

He didn’t let his eyes follow your finger toward the stars. Instead they remained fixed on you when he replied, “She is.”

Story:

Working with the Avengers was a challenge to say the least.
An enjoyable one, but still a challenge.

This was why Y/N had opted to keep her apartment in the city. So she could have a safe, familiar place to escape to when things got just too… heroically crazy.

It was rare that she would stay at the Tower over night, but Tony had a room set up for her anyway.
When nights like last night came around, she was glad to have a bed to sleep in rather than having to crash on the couch.

Just like every morning, Bucky and Steve had gotten up before everyone else in the Tower and had gone for a run. When they got back, they were a little surprised to see everyone still asleep. Each went to their separate room, to shower and get ready for the day before finding their way back to the kitchen.

Steve and Bucky settled onto the island stools, the former man looking to the latter. “So,” he began.

They had been silent their entire run, but now Steve had Bucky in his clutches…

Clingy (Part 1)

This one is really personal to me. I hope you all like it! ♡♡♡

Prompt:

Where Y/N loves him, but what if he doesn’t appreciate it?

It had been a couple of months since you and Harry had started dating. It wasn’t long, but you already had strong feelings towards him. You couldn’t help it, it was something that had become a part of you. When you were in a relationship, you became too attached. You gave your absolute everything in the relationship. You would never hesitate to change your schedule if it meant that you two could get some time together. Whether it was a friend, or a boyfriend. You always tried your best to make it work.

For you, a relationship wasn’t something just to pass time. It meant that the person had a special place in your life, and in your heart. Sometimes it felt like you were the only one who was putting in the efforts, and that hurt you quite a lot. But you never let that change who you were as a person.

There were times when you worried that you came off as clingy or desperate, and that had become one of your biggest insecurities. However, as time went by, you had learnt to save your ‘institnct’ for those who were actually worth it. That included some of your friends, your family, and of course your boyfriend, Harry.

Harry and you first met at a concert. It was the time that One Direction had recently taken a break. You both happened to be in the same crowd. Throughout the concert, you two danced together, and talked lots. Afterwards, Harry asked you out on a date, and you agreed. You both agreed to meet at a café nearby, and that was the start of something new. You had a lot of fun that night, and that led to a second date, which had let to now, when you had been dating for 5 months.

You had grown fond of him, as he had of you. You knew that you had strong feelings for him, but you didn’t know if he felt the same, and you didn’t want to risk it by telling him just now. There were times when you got insecure of your relationship, and you wondered why he chose you. Harry had previously assured you that he genuinely enjoyed your company, and wanted to be with you. You had gotten comfortable with Harry to a great extent, and had found yourself telling him things that you hadn’t told anyone else.

You knew that Harry led a busy life, so you always tried to compromise for him. You would often ditch your own plans if you found out that Harry had none, just so you two could spend some time together. Once you canceled a trip that your friends had planned, because Harry was home and you wanted to treasure your time together. You even went as far as to going along with his plans. If he went out with his friends, you would tag along so you could be in his presence just a little longer. You spent a lot of time at his apartment, sometimes in his absence. He said that you had made his apartment, a home. When you were apart, you made sure to send him short texts every now and then, just so he could know that you were thinking of him.

There were times when you worried that he would start getting bothered by your constant actions, but you pushed that fear away and started believing that he wasn’t like the others, and that he would actually appreciate the fact that you cared for him more than for your own ego. He had never shown any sign that would make you think otherwise.

Thinking about it now, maybe you should have looked a little closer?

It was the day that you had off from work. You knew that Harry was at home as well, so you decided to go over and surprise him at his house. You had been thinking about your feelings for him a lot lately, and you had decided that what you felt for him was too strong to be ignored. You finally built up the courage to decide that you loved him, that he now had your heart in his hands and you hoped with everything in you that he would take care of it. You could only hope that he felt the same way, because you had no idea of what in the world you would do if he didn’t.

You knew that you couldn’t force someone to love you, or to even like you. But you wished that he did. You had done everything that you could, so you could make him feel comfortable with you, to be the one he would admire and want to spend his life with.

On your way there, you got excited just thinking about what would happen if he actually felt the same for you. Would you make love? Would he ask you to move in with him?

By the time you parked your car in his driveway, your nerves were sky-high. However, you didn’t fail to notice the other car standing there. The minor heart attack you had, quickly died when you realized that it was Ed. You were a little bummed because you wanted to be alone with him, but you were good friends with Ed as well, and he treated you like his little sister.

After quickly texting Harry, “I have a surprise for you”, you walked to your boyfriend’s door, and weren’t surprised to find it open. You quietly sneaked in, not wanting to disturb them in case they were in the middle of a conversation. Your movements halted to a stop when you heard your name,

“Oh I meant to ask you about her. How is she doing? I haven’t been able to see her in a while.“ It was Ed. You shut your eyes, waiting for Harry’s answer. “She’s fine, I guess”

You couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed at that, you had expected a more heartfelt reply.

“What do you mean? Is everything okay?” Ed asked.

Please, please. You begged Harry in your heart.

You didn’t know what you were hoping for, but what came at you next was certainly not what you wished for.

“I sometimes feel like she tries too hard. It’s like she’s always around, I mean, I like her a lot, but I just need my space a little bit. She always wants to hang out, she wants to go out with me even when I’m going out with my friends. Hell, I probably get like a hundred texts from her daily. She’s just, clingy.”

You could feel your heart break in a million little pieces. The one person that you had expected for to be okay with how you were, even he had turned his back on you.

You tried to hold your tears back, you really did, but it seemed impossible. You were quick to turn around and go out of the door, as silently as possible. It wasn’t that hard, considering the both of them were in the middle of a very private conversation. Why were you eavesdropping anyway?

Your heart hurt, you hadn’t expected Harry to say that. As you slid into your car and backed out of his driveway with that thought in mind, your mind halted to a stop.

You should have been expecting this.

It had happened before, people had told you that you were too attached, or ‘clingy’ as Harry put it, whether that be previous boyfriends or some of your so called ‘friends’.

Why did this hurt the worst? Maybe because you wished that Harry would have been the one person to accept you as you are. You felt like laughing at yourself, you felt stupid for feeling so strongly about him.

You were tired.

Drained.

Tired of giving your everything to the people who didn’t deserve it.

This lasted only until you reached home, though. As soon as you were back in the privacy of your own home, you broke down. You let out the tears that you had been keeping in ever since you had heard the dreaded words. You slid down the wall next to your door, as your body shook with sobs. You felt broken, as if something had been taken from deep inside of you.

You couldn’t help but think why? Why were you the one who got punished when all you wanted was to make the other person feel appreciated. You felt yourself getting dizzy as the tears continuously escaped your eyes. You couldn’t think of a time in your life when you had cried this hard. Although it wasn’t anything new to you, what you felt for Harry definitely was. You had never had such strong feelings for anyone else, and you couldn’t bear the thought of letting him go.

So you made your decision; this was it. You were going to change.

You Should’ve Been Gone

Pairing: Sam x Reader

Summary: After Jess dies, Sam visits her grave and finds out she wasn’t alone in the fire that night.

Word Count: 1,033

Warnings: angst, canon divergence, mentions of blood and death,

A/N: Written for @riversong-sam‘s 700 Followers Challenge. My song was I Can’t Outrun You by Thompson Square, my prompt was, “We need to talk,” and my photo is used in the story.

The apartment went up in flames, or at least that’s what they’d said. You knew the real story. Jess was on the ceiling, blood dripping from her stomach. Sam was laying on the bed below her, and his brother managed to burst through the door just in the nick of time. Sam and Dean got out, sure, and Jess was a goner, but…

You’d had a chance. If they’d just come back for you. You were in the shower, and by the time you got out, there were too many flames, too many broken boards, no way to get out. You burned up right alongside your sister, but Sam never knew. He called and called after Jess died, trying to reach you, trying to tell you what had happened. What he didn’t know was that you were right there with him, riding in the back seat of that damned car.

Another boring, dull day or your miserable life. The same thing over and over again. Waking up in a house you’ve lived in for more than 4 years now. A place that at first felt like your safe place, a home, something you always looked forward to at the end of the day. But now, it made you sick and tired, the empty walls sucking the life out of you. You made your way to the bathroom, only stopping to reach for a clean towel from the dresser. You stood in front of the sink, looking at your reflection in the mirror, but failing to recognize the once bright young woman that you used to be, with a promising future ahead of you, but one you lose over a simple, stupid crush.

You met your husband, Tony, 5 years ago when he spoke about the perks of being a famous businessman in the auditorium of your University. You were sitting at the last row, listening to him boast about his company and becoming one of the richest men in the country. You thought he was funny and fairly attractive. So at the end of the gathering, you were surprised, to say the least, when he approached you and asked you for dinner, saying how he couldn’t help but keep his eyes off of you, which is something you presumed he said to every one of his side quests these days. Nevertheless, you agreed and no more than a year later, you were Mrs. Tony Stark.

we get it, you’re gay.
my sexuality is not a shirt that I take off at the end of each day, it is not dirty. I do not dress myself in lesbianism just for the fashion perks; homophobia is not in style. i am not a living light switch, I do not turn myself off to solve all your problems, my light will not go out because it’s too bright for you.
we get it, you’re gay.
if I stop talking about it, it will not go away. I would say I am sorry to disappoint but I am not sorry, I am gay, I am very gay and I am not sorry for who I am, I am only sorry that you have a problem with self-liberation and confidence.
we get it, you’re gay.
I can tell when someone is uncomfortable and my sexuality is making you uncomfortable, you are upset that I am comfortable in my own skin, you are upset that I am comfortable with the fact that I love girls and you are uncomfortable about the fact that I won’t shut up. you can’t silence my sexuality, actions speak louder than words.
we get it, you’re gay.
you don’t mind that I’m gay you just don’t want me to be too gay, because being too gay is distracting. you want me to be quiet gay, nice gay, understanding gay, your-gay-friend gay, let-you-get-away-with-everything gay. I can like girls but I’m supposed to whisper that kind of thing, not shout it. the neighbors aren’t supposed to hear.
we get it, you’re gay.
you say you understand, but you’d rather just push it under the rug. it’s okay if I’m gay, but I shouldn’t rub it in your face. you don’t mind, you say, but you can’t help but notice how many people are gay these days and you assume it must be some kind of practical joke. I am not a joke, my life is not some riddle, do you see me laughing? this is not funny.
we get it, you’re gay.
oh, I’m just rebellious, I’ve been told. a rebellious teen confused by the media, so tell me, where is my army? where are my hundreds of thousands of lgbt soldiers, ready to fight this war on love? we stand united but we are not armed, because if we bring the weapons we have guaranteed ourselves a two-minute five o'clock news slot, tragic tragedy, one-more-gay-gone, let’s save the world, let’s save the gays.
we get it, you’re gay.
“lesbians have ruined flannels for me” because the community was supposed to ask for a style after you denied us basic human rights? I’m sorry gay girls have ruined plaid for you, but it never looked too great on you anyway. maybe you should stick to solid colors; if you put too many shades on one shirt, it might look like a rainbow and someone might accidentally think you’re gay. can’t have that.
we get it, you’re gay.
don’t annoy the straights! eyes wide open, avoiding ticking bombs of discrimination, it happens all the time but there’s no way to prepare yourself for hate speech coming from the mouth of your mother or your teacher or your best friend. I bite my tongue to keep from coming out but you’re just so sure that you can trust me, I’ll get it, no offense, no hard feelings, I will understand.
we get it, you’re gay.
I am not going to hit on you, just because I like girls does not mean that I like you, I love myself and I love being gay. do not make my sexuality about you, my life does not revolve around you. I’ve undressed in front of you my entire life but now you insist on changing in the next room. you don’t say it, but I know. I’m not a friend, I’m a predator.
we get it, you’re gay.
you can ramble all day about how that kid in your physics class is just to die for, but the second I mention that a girl in my history class is cute then all eyes are burning holes into my skin. you don’t have to bring your gay with you everywhere, leave it at home most days, it’s too embarrassing to share.
we get it, you’re gay.
I don’t look gay enough, I’ve heard. do I need to carry a sign with me everywhere to broadcast that I Am Not Straight, I am g-a-y gay, rainbows all over my body and in my back pocket, just so you can see?
we get it, you’re gay.
oh, but you tell me that I am not gay I am not gay because I am a girl that likes girls, I can only use the word lesbian. I didn’t know that I erased my name tag and handed it to you, I didn’t know that you were in charge of what I called myself, I didn’t know you were allowed to police my labels; I never asked for your opinions but that never stopped you anyway, do you understand?
we get it, you’re gay.
so, by gay, do you mean really gay or just a little gay? lipstick lesbian, three-way fantasy, am I right? what stereotype would you like to claim, or would you prefer that I choose?
we get it, you’re gay.
truth or dare has always been a death sentence for me, and anyone that says that party games aren’t lethal doesn’t know pure poison, I grew up drinking venom from vodka bottles because alcohol was nothing to a child on the run. so explain to me why I would stop now.
we get it, you’re gay.
in every wedding aisle there’s a “mr.” and a “mrs.” who’s the man in the relationship, they’ll ask us, nothing about us is traditional but they’ll insist we wear white anyway. marriage equality, what else are you fighting for?
I get it, you’re straight.
you’re the cool straight friend. you’re the best straight friend any gay person could ever have, asking for fashion advice and introducing me as your “gay friend.” you say that you have a pretty great gaydar, and you knew all along. do you also know that I want you to shut the fuck up?
I get it, you’re straight.
capital s “Straight,” straight as a telephone pole, straighter than a ruler. so straight and everyone knows without you saying a word because you people are everywhere. you’re on cereal boxes and billboards and in every television show. you’re the main character but we’re just there for a little drama, an episode or two, and then we’re gone.
I get it, you’re straight.
you have never had to come out of the closet because you were never in one to begin with, you own the entire house and didn’t even give us enough room to be. has anyone ever told you how dark and crowded a closet is? it is so hard to breathe with so little space to exist, I’m surprised my thoughts didn’t suffocate me over the years, would you have even noticed?
I get it, you’re straight.
you’re a girl and you like boys, only boys. I mean, everyone experiments in college, right? everyone loves that song, I kissed a girl, because everyone loves just to give being gay a try without the weight of what it really means. it’s not cheating if it’s with a girl, right? right?
I get it, you’re straight.
no homo, bro! holding hands, sharing drinks, making eye contact, it’s not gay, no homo. just two pals being gals, no homo, don’t worry, we’re straight!
I get it, you’re straight.
you have learned how to hate since the moment you were born. no worries, I have been too, but I unlearned heteronormativity so I could fall in love with myself. you preach it every sunday in church and every weekday at work, you learn that serving me is optional, that you can turn me away because you don’t like who I love.
I get it, you’re straight.
lets talk about me as a topic of class discussion, I am the focus of today’s debate, go. argue your stance. do you think this girl at table three should have the right to get married, the right to adopt, the right to buy milk, the right to exist? do you think this girl at table three is just trying to fit in? do you think the girl at table three should be allowed to go to prom? tell me, let’s talk about the girl at table three, no harm done.
I get it, you’re straight.
you are in every book I’ve ever read. the love stories are always about you, how can you expect me to grow up and not feel flawed? these novels teach me to hate who I am, it’s a miracle in and of itself that I’m still here.
I get it, you’re straight.
“there’s a war on straight people,” excuse me? we are just beginning to come out of the shadows because the earth is only now a little less haunted and you have the audacity to say that you are the ones under attack?
I get it, you’re straight.
every step we take is monitored and broadcast for the world to see. you are just a person allowed to make your own decisions but everything I do respresents my entire community and there is no space for me to make mistakes. I am not perfect but I am trying.
I get it, you’re straight.
you say that me being gay is not a big deal to you, it could be anyone, no big deal, not at all. but it’s a big deal to me, this wasn’t an easy thing to say. why should I silence myself, am I overreacting?
I get it, you’re straight.
there’s no rule book for being an ally and sometimes the borders become a little blurred, it’s easy to cross a line. I will help guide you but I will not hold your hand. I cannot always be there to watch the words that trickle out of your mouth, you have to remember that I am a secret.
I get it, you’re straight.
please stop talking about me like I am the latest news story, I am not a headline in big bold font, sometimes I just need a moment to breathe. I have these words printed into my skin just like a newspaper and I’ve never been more black and white.
I get it, you’re straight.
what’s it like to be gay? oh, you know what I mean, so when did you know? which girl turned you gay? why did you lie to us, how many times have you done it with a girl, what about with a guy? how can you be gay if you’ve never done anything? can you ever really know? what if it’s all a phase?
I get it, you’re straight.
the words we identify ourselves by are your insults. they lock us up for holding hands, they criminalize and sexualize our daily activities because they don’t want us corrupting the children. I’ve spent my entire life in an invisible prison with see-through shackles, this is on my permanent record.
I get it, you’re straight.
have you ever considered that my backpack is heavy because I have to carry the weight of your judgment to and from school every day, I have to carry a fire extinguisher in my lunch box because these toxic words are flammable. I might break my back but at least you don’t know.
I get it, you’re straight.
what’s it like to be “normal”? to never have to deal with the undercover I’m-sorry-for-you stares from the kids in the hallway, the I’ll-pray-for you promises spoken by nice ladies in their sunday best?
we get it, you’re gay.
when I’m telling my love story I do not want to lie. I will not censor the pronouns to protect the innocent because my happiness is not guilt-ridden. I am leaving this book open.
—  we get it.

Dean continued to fiddle with the cellar door in attempt to get you guys out of there but it was useless. The people in this town needed you two and the chances of you escaping the cellar were slim.

“What’re we gonna do if we don’t make it outta here?” You question your older brother.

“Oh, now you’re talking to me?” He said while using his back to try and open the door, “This thing ain’t budging,”

“I mean it Dean these people, they’re-they’re gonna sacrifice us to that creepy scarecrow and what if-” You stopped yourself.

“What if what?” Dean asked through gritted teeth.

“What if they try to separate us?” You spoke softly.

Dean turned and looked at you with a concerned face, “You okay down there ankle-biter?”

“Yeah.” You mumbled, “It’s just…”

“It’s just what?” Dean questioned as he made his way down the steps towards you.

“Ever since we got Sam, hell ever since dad went missing I just, I’m having a hard time…adjusting?” You replied.

“Adjusting?”

“Yeah, adjusting. Sam was gone, now he’s back and everything is all screwy with that. Dad’s missing and doesn’t want us to find him. We’re taking on all these hunts that are brand new to me and I just, I don’t know if I can do it. You’ve been doing this a lot longer then I have Dean and I’m worried I’m gonna screw up and get one of us killed.” You confessed.

“What’s bringing all of this out?” Dean asked as he reached you while you shrugged your shoulders in response. “Oh no, you don’t get to roll the credits on the chick flick before it begins. Talk.”

You opened your mouth to tell Dean more but you were interrupted by the cellar door opening. Dean instantly grabbed your shoulder and pushed you behind him.

“It’s time.”

Dean looked back and locked eyes with you; seeing your eyes filled with fear he gripped onto your hand and gave it a squeeze, “We’ll finish this when I get us outta here. Got it?”

Isaac x Reader

Requested by Anon

“Hey, you free to hang out tonight?” you asked Isaac who’d been acting weirdly since he came back to school.

“No, busy and you shouldn’t just hang around Beacon Hills after dark.” He muttered without looking away from Erica who was talking to Alisson.

“I’m not I’m planning on going to…” Isaac walked off before you finished the sentence, pulling Erica off somewhere.

“Hey you alright?” Danny asked when you turned and practically smacked into his locker as he opened it.

[ soulmate ]

pairing; seventeen vernon x reader

genre; fluff, soulmate!au

synopsis; everyone her age had found their significant other; their soulmates. after a long, painful period of waiting, she found hers.

word count; 1862 words

I entered the studio, trudging lifelessly to my usual corner and letting my bag slip off from my shoulder onto the floor, not bothering to switch on the main lights. The sub-lights situated at the front of the studio mirror and the back corners were already turned on, so I left it as that.

I let out a heavy, tired sigh, plugging my phone into the studio’s speaker, letting it blast my usual tracks as I did my warm-up.

I’m Y/N, 19, from the dance club. I’m from LA, but I moved to Korea because of my parent’s work. I was happy with the change. Life in LA wasn’t exactly smooth. My life was pretty dull, so I put my focus on dance — probably the one thing that makes me feel myself.

I always came to practice two hours early, just to have the space to myself so I could go through my choreography.

An hour later, the metal door of the studio clicked open, and I didn’t have to look to know who it is.

Jun — the club president. Also my best friend. He walked towards the corner where I had left my bag lying, and he put his beside mine. I shot him a weak smile, panting from the hectic choreography I just went through.

“Working hard today too, huh?” he grinned, tossing me a bottle of water as he walked over to the speaker switches, turning it off.

“What else could I do?” I muttered, plonking down onto the floor as I leaned against the mirror. He walked over, sitting beside me with his legs stretched out in front.

“So… You haven’t-”

“Nope,” I interrupted. Jun sighed.

Jun asked me the same question every week — “Have you found him?”

‘Him’ being my soulmate.

I didn’t mind the fact that Jun kept this up for the past year. He knew how emotionally frustrated I would be sometimes, due to the fact that I couldn’t find my soulmate, and he was always there to provide the support I desperately needed. I couldn’t thank him enough for that. I was usually cheery enough though, trying to think positive that I would find ‘him’ sooner or later.

Soulmates were a symbol of two parties being, literally, made for each other. These two parties would have this tattoo-looking thing on a certain part of their body — called Tags. Soulmates’ Tags would match in colour and symbol. Everyone had a different Tag, only two parties on the entire surface on earth would have the exact same.

Tags fade as you age. They usually disappear by the time you’re thirty or thirty-five, and that’s pretty much the end of the world for that person. Once your Tag disappears, the possibility of you being able to find your soulmate drops to nearly a zero. And you would have to live a lonely life. Ugh.

Nearly everyone our age in this school have found their soulmates. Those who haven’t found theirs — you could count their number with your fingers. And I happen to be in that group.

Not having your soulmate with you at this age is probably the worst thing ever. Soulmates would naturally have the trait of being able to cheer the opposite party up, and they would match and fit like jigsaw puzzles that are side-by-side.

I eyed Jun’s crimson Tag peeking out from under his long sleeves on his wrist, and reached out for it. I pushed his sleeve back, my thumb caressing the opaque Tag. Yes, Jun had found his soulmate too, she’s a really nice girl from the art club. I pictured my half-faded Tag in my mind. My Tag was on the right corner of my waist, and I didn’t let many people see it. Insecurities.

“Don’t think about it too much. You’re still young, you know,” Jun comforted. I smiled, not looking away from his Tag.

“Yeah.”

Jun’s phone vibrated and he unlocked it, viewing a message or something. I didn’t peek.

“Hey, look at this,” Jun said, putting the phone in front of my face as I read the text message sent to him by the teacher-in-charge of the dance club.

There will be a new member joining the club today. He’s a transfer. Do take care of him.

I frowned. New member?

“I wonder who,” Jun said, sliding his phone back into his pocket.

The rest of the members from the club came in over the next few minutes, and soon all were present, except for that new guy.

I checked the clock. Five more minutes before he’ll be checked down as ‘late’.

The door burst open then, and a blonde-hair guy came jogging in.

“Sorry! Got caught up with something,” he said. He looked American. No, he was definitely American. But he spoke really fluent Korean.

“It’s alright, you’re not exactly late. Just come a bit earlier next time,” Jun smiled, before noticing the confused looks on the other member’s faces.

“Oh right, do introduce yourself,” Jun said to the newcomer who had just placed his bag down at an opposite corner of the studio.

“Of course. I’m Vernon, and you can probably tell, I’m not Korean. I’m from New York, but I’ve lived here since I was a toddler.”

Everyone eyed him, waiting for him the reveal the part that everyone was naturally curious about.

Vernon chuckled slightly. “No, I haven’t found my soulmate. Not exactly the norm, I know, but I try not to think too much about it.”

Everyone nodded, some giving him sympathetic looks, but welcoming him warmly. Jun and I glanced over each other, giving each other surprised looks.

We carried on with dance practice, and Vernon obviously had dance background. He followed well and caught the steps quick.

“Ten minutes break, everyone!” Jun announced.

I huffed, sweeping my hair over my shoulders as I walked towards my bag.

“Hey, umm…” someone spoke in English behind me.

I turned around to see Vernon behind me.

“Oh, hey!” I greeted back in English, trying to not be awkward. “I’m Y/N.”

“Nice to meet you, Y/N,” he said. “I was just wondering if you’re American? Considering the fact that you can reply me in English.”

“Yeah,” I chuckled. “I am. From LA.”

“That’s nice.”

I shrugged, picking my bottle up from the floor as I took a sip. “I guess so.”

“And also, if it isn’t too personal..” Vernon trailed off, waiting for permission for him to continue. He knew that I knew what he was going to ask.

I smiled bitterly. “No, I haven’t found mine either.”

He returned the smile. “So we’re on the same page.”

“Yeah, we are,” I said.

“Do you mind if we walk to the dorms together after practice? I want to know you more,” Vernon said hesitantly.

“Would love to,” I said, because I wanted to know him more too.

After practice, I greeted Jun goodbye, and he muttered something like “That guy could be him” before we went separate ways.

Vernon and I started walking towards the dorms, which was just a couple of blocks away from our studio.

“How do you deal with everything? Like, not having your soulmate with you…” I asked.

He shrugged. “I don’t know. It’s irritating, really. But I distract myself a lot by doing things that heavily occupy my mind.”

I nodded in agreement. “I do that too. That’s pretty much the only thing I can do.”

We continued simple talk all the way to the dorms, asking each other questions that weren’t too personal. We matched well.

“What’s your dorm number?” I asked as we approached the dorm buildings.

“Building 2. Room 58.”

I raised an eyebrow. “How coincidental.”

“Huh?”

“That’s my room.”

“Wait, it’s possible for guys and girls to mix dorms in this school?”

“Yeah. Kind of,” I said, smiling. “Let’s go!”

Vernon and I grew undeniably close over the next few weeks. He pretty much became my best friend, alongside Jun. We knew pretty much everything about each other after 4 weeks. Everything except for how each other’s Tags looked. I wasn’t planning on showing it to him anytime yet. I didn’t want to have false hopes that he may be my soulmate.

It was already obvious that I liked him. I liked him a lot. So if he wasn’t my soulmate, I can’t even imagine the pain I would feel. I didn’t want to find out his Tag because of this.

I walked into the dorm, just finishing my classes for the day. It was already 6pm, and Vernon was already in the room when I came in.

“Hey,” he greeted, and I smiled as i placed my bag on my desk.

“Hey.”

“Can I serious-talk?” he asked abruptly.

“I’m awake enough,” I said. “What is it?”

Vernon quickly pulled me to sit on his bed. We both sat down in silence as I waited for him to speak.

Vernon’s eyes were fixed on the right side of my waist, making me increasingly uncomfortable. Did he see it? There was no way. I always wore clothes long enough to cover my waist.

“I saw it, Y/N,” Vernon said. “Your hoodie rolled up past your waist yesterday night. I climbed up the bunk to ask you something, I didn’t know you were already sleeping.”

I bit my lips, looking away. How was I supposed to deal with this? What if it wasn’t the same as his? What if-

“They’re the same.” Vernon said.

I snapped my head towards him. Did I hear him right?

He rolled up his sleeve on his left arm, revealing his Tag. He’s right. It was the same. His was a black outline of wings, with a turquoise shade surrounding it.

Like mine.

I apprehensively lifted my hoodie, checking the finest details of the Tag and comparing it to his. No mistake — they were the same.

“Vernon!” I exclaimed, jumping onto him, engulfing him in a hug.

He laughed, his arms wrapping around me tightly. I never felt so happy in my life. My heart was thumping. I felt like I was going to cry.

“Just for the record, feelings were mutual all this while, Y/N,” he told me. “Jun told me everything. You having a crush on me, blablabla.”

I pulled away, staring at him with wide eyes, before covering my face and falling flat onto his bed. “I’m going to kill Jun.”

Vernon laughed. “I’d like to see you do that, babe.”

“Y/N~! Wake up!” Vernon called, jumping on top of me. I grunted, feeling air get pushed out of my lungs.

“You’re heavy, you asshole! Get off!” I said, pushing him off. He laughed aloud, rolling off me but stayed lying beside me, one arm draped across my waist.

“Don’t jump on me. You may just break my ribs by accident, you elephant.”

“It’s okay, I’ll be at your funeral,” he joked. I laughed and kicked him off my bed.

“You’re mean,” I said, walking off to the bathroom to wash up. He followed me to the sink, wrapping his arms around my waist loosely as he nuzzled his face into my neck. I giggled.

He looked up, resting his chin on my shoulder, looking at our reflection in the mirror in front of us.

“I can’t believe we’re confirmed soulmates,” he said. “This was all I wished for.”

I smiled and he gently turned me to face him, closing the distance between us as he placed his lips on mine.

We broke the kiss, and I chuckled. “Me too.”

Hi please PLEASE talk to me abt the socioeconomic state of japan in bnh verse I am SO interested to hear ur thoughts? I'm a poli theory major and let me tell u im a SLUT for fic that deal w the political/social repercussions of fictional happenings

sure thing!

disclaimer: i only just graduated high school so i’m pulling all of this out of my ass one semester of macroeconomics i took in senior year. feel free to add onto or correct any of this

edit: if anyone wants to use this for reference when writing boku no hero japan, feel free! i’d appreciate any credit, but it’s not necessary.

what really got me thinking about the socioeconomic state of boku no hero japan was probably the difference between orudera junior high (bakugou and izuku’s school) vs. yuuei, both of which are in the same city, musutafu. orudera junior high gives off the feeling of a school that’s a bit run down; not terrible enough that it obstructs the kids’ education, but enough that you think the school probably can’t afford to keep it in good repair.

here’s a screenshot of bakugou and izuku’s classroom:

and then here’s izuku’s desk, which has details indicating that it’s in slight disrepair:

if you go back through the chapters and look at the setting at yuuei, it’s spic-n-span. just super clean and well-kept. it’s an entire world of difference… so already there is this huge disparity between the junior high school in izuku’s neighborhood, and yuuei, which is a 40 minute subway ride away (chapter 3).

makes sense that yuuei would be so nice and expensive if it’s the most prestigious hero academy in the country, right? but there’s more details too, like this brief exchange between bakugou & iida right at the very beginning:

bakugou’s resentful comment about iida being an “elite” really only makes sense to me in the context of economic disparity. let’s infer that soumei junior high is better funded, better equipped, better everything in general. of course bakugou will resent iida for that, especially coming from the more ill-maintained orudera junior high. the difference in their economic status is already apparent.

this isn’t even going into the difference between yaoyorozu’s incredibly rich status vs the rest of the class vs uraraka, who has decided to become a hero because she wants the financial security, and who also lives in an apartment by herself and skips meals to save on money. so even within the class itself there’s a huuuge difference in economic status.

you could just think of it as the individual circumstances of the characters, but i think it’s more of a systematic problem – see, again, the difference in infrastructure quality between the different schools (the public school is not doing so great but yuuei is doing fantastic). maybe the city is poor, or maybe all of its funds go towards repairing the constant property damage from villain attacks, or maybe there’s just some areas they don’t care to maintain. either way: just by traversing different parts of the city you’ll probably see big differences in how well the neighborhoods are kept.

and now, for a different question: if this is the golden age of peace, why are there still so many villain fights?
