Ogle Winston Link (1914-2001) “Hotshot Eastbound” /1956

Taking photos of steam locomotives, originally as a hobby, Ogle managed to capture the last 5 years of these striking trains in service. Notably, Ogle’s images were shot at night. This was deliberate as Ogle was not dictated by the rise and fall of the sun. His collection is not only renowned for the trains, but also, their connection and interaction with iconic American culture.
