Author’s Note: I wrote this in one night. Wow I hope it’s good, lol. Thanks to one of my favorites, @lovelydob, for proofreading this for me!!

Dylan had just stepped off the elevator, making his way towards his office as he had many phone calls to make about the new team. He had passed Mal’s desk, giving her a small smile as she returned it. He walked into his office, closing the door behind him and he stood in front of his desk, grabbing the office phone, dialing a number immediately.

The 15 PLOT POINTS of Story Structure

To all the writers who have ever been told they need to outline their story, and privately thought “Great. But how do you DO that? What exactly does that mean?! Is there a map? WHAT IS THE SPECIFIC DEFINITION OF THE VAGUE WORD ‘OUTLINE’?”

Good news. Stories have structure. Structure that can be learned. And a fantastic place to start learning structure?

Save the Cat: The Last Book on Screenwriting You’ll Ever Need by Blake Snyder. This book gives a simple outline that most stories follow. And as an introduction to story structure, it can’t be beat.

In Save the Cat, 15 plot points are spelled out in something called a beat sheet. During the outlining process, these “beats” or plot points can be used as an armature or skeleton that your story is built upon.

So what are those 15 plot points?

Opening Image: A snapshot of the hero’s problematic ordinary world, right before the story starts and changes everything.

Set-Up: Further establishing that ordinary world and what the hero does every day, impressing upon the audience or reader what’s wrong, and the idea that something needs to change.

Theme Stated:  The truth that the hero will learn by experiencing the story, the statement that will be proven to the audience. But upon first encountering this truth, in this story beat right in the beginning, the hero doesn’t understand or outright refuses to believe it. The theme stated is asking a question, a question which the story will answer.

Catalyst: The ordinary world is shattered. Something unexpected happens, and this event triggers all the conflict and change of the whole story. Life will never be the same after this moment. This is the Call to Adventure.

Debate: But for a moment, the hero won’t be quite sure about answering that call. Leaving behind the ordinary world is difficult – even if the catalyst has come along and disrupted everything – because the ordinary means safety, it means not being challenged, it means avoiding conflict and heartache. Yes, that existence they’re stuck in might be stagnant and unpleasant, but it protects them from facing the intimidating task of growth, of becoming something better.

Break Into 2: And this is when the hero decides to answer the call and cross the threshold of act two, determined to pursue their goal.

B Story: This is when the relationship – which usually carries and proves the theme – starts in earnest.

Fun & Games: This is just what it says: the premise promised a certain type of pure entertainment, and this beat is where we get to experience it fully.

Midpoint: This is either a false victory or a false defeat. Something really really good happens. Or something the exact opposite.

Bad Guys Close In: Forces of opposition and conflict begin to converge on the hero and his goal. Everything begins to fall apart for the hero, the defeats piling up one after another, the main character punching back.

All Is Lost: This is the sequence where absolutely everything falls apart for the hero. The plans fail, the goal is lost, the mentor dies, the villain wins. All is, quite literally, lost.

Dark Night of the Soul: The hero’s bleakest moment is right here. In addition to all of the tangible things that have been lost, hope and the gumption to continue with the story have also vanished. There is usually a hint of death here, of some kind. An actual death, or an emotional or spiritual death.

Break into 3: Ah, but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Inspiration occurs, hope is rekindled, courage to pursue the story returns. Usually, this is the moment where the main character learns what they NEED, the truth which will heal them, and allow them to fix their own lives. With this, they are able to snatch victory from defeat.

Finale: And in here, the story goal is pursued once more, but this time from the stronger version of the hero – the version that has learned the theme, and committed to act accordingly.

Closing Image: The opposite of the opening image. This is a snapshot of life after the story, the problems of the ordinary world solved or banished, a new world opening up for the hero. If the opening is the equivalent of “once upon a time” this is saying “And every day after … “

So let’s see how that works! And to see it, let’s look at my favorite short film of all time – Paperman  (because this gave me an excuse to watch it several times and listen to the music while writing it.)

1) Opening Image

We see George, a twenty-something in a sixty-something’s suit and tie, obviously on his way to work, and not looking at all enthused about it. He stares straight ahead, expression bored, lifeless, right on the edge of depressed. Wind from a passing train pushes him slightly, and he lets it, demeanor unchanging.

2) Set-Up

But then a sheet of paper, caught on the wind, hits his shoulder. The paper flies off again, and a young woman appears onscreen, chasing after the paper, as the surprised George watches.

After catching it offscreen, the girl returns, tucking the paper into the stack she carries, smiling slightly. They both face forward, waiting for the train side-by-side, in silence. She’s glancing sideways at him, he’s smiling and fidgeting nervously, but still resolutely facing forward; they’re both aware of each other, seemingly hoping the other will be braver, but neither able to overcome their shyness and the unspoken rules of everyday life.

3) Theme Stated

As a train charges into the station, a paper from George’s stack is snatched by the wind and lands flat on the woman’s face. When he pulls the paper away, she laughs: her lipstick left a perfect kiss mark on the sheet. When George spots it, he laughs too …

but when he opens his eyes, she’s gone. She’s boarded a different train. The kiss-mark paper flaps in the wind as the train begins to move, taking her away. He watches, crestfallen. She glances back. Looks of regret and disappointment are exchanged, both a little wistful. The paper, the symbol of their fleeting memorable meeting, waves goodbye.

Through this little sequence of images, the question of the whole story is asked: Was there a connection between them? Will they find each other again? And on a wider level: What does it take to find love?

Further Set-Up:

And cut to George behind a desk, in a gray office, dark file cabinets towering behind him, clocks on the wall ticking away his life. Miserable again, he stares at the lipsticked paper. A stack of documents slams onto the desk from on high. The grim-faced boss of the office scowls down at him. George frowns at the stack, then at his boss, who stomps away.

4) Catalyst

Breeze pulls the kissed paper off his desk and out the open window. He catches it just in time, breathing a sigh of relief. And then he sees something. The girl! She’s there! She’s right across the street!

5) Debate

He needs to get her attention! He dithers for a moment, then throws the window wide and enthusiastically waves his arms.

An ominous "ahem” from the boss brings him back inside, and back to his desk. But his attention is still on the girl, and the need to get her attention. He folds a paper airplane, stands before the window, poises the airplane to fly … but he glances at his boss’s office before he throws it. Should he?

6) Break Into Act 2

Yes. Yes, he should. He sends the little airplane messenger to bridge the distance between himself and the girl.

7) B Story

What he should have done while waiting for the train, he’s committed to do now. Talk to her. The relationship of the story has started officially.

8) Fun & Games

In this moment, he becomes the “paper man” of the title. He folds and throws paper airplane after paper airplane. The boss shows up, shoves him back and slams his window. George pauses until he’s gone, then just keeps sending airplanes. They sail over the street, but are intercepted or miss their mark every time.

9) Midpoint

He reaches for more paper … and knocks an empty tray off the desk. He’s run out. Except for one paper, the kissed one, the only one he’s held onto. With a determined look, he folds it precisely into an airplane, stands before the window, breathes to steady himself …

And the wind steals the airplane from his hand, sending it spiraling to the street below, George reaching out pointlessly. On top of this defeat, the girl leaves the office.

10) Bad Guys Close In

Immediately, the boss emerges from his lair. The other office workers hurriedly return to their scribbling, hunched to avoid drawing attention. The girl is leaving the building across the street! George turns from the window … and finds the boss looming above him, glowering, delivering another tall pile of meaningless work.

George sinks into his chair, defeated. But something happens as he watches his boss walk away, as he sees the office workers in neat rows; all of them older versions of George, reflections of what he will become … if he doesn’t do something right now.

He runs, sending paper from the perfect stacks flying in his wake.

11) All Is Lost

But when he escapes the building, and attempts to cross the street, cars nearly kill him. And when he finally makes it to the opposite sidewalk, the girl is nowhere in sight. She’s lost again.

And all he manages to find is the little traitorous paper airplane. The paper he’d believed might mean something, might have signified something important and maybe a little magical. Which it obviously never did.

12) Dark Night of the Soul

Angry, he grabs the plane and throws it with all his strength.  He’s lost his job, he’s lost the girl, he’s lost all faith in the magic he’d just started to believe might be real. He stomps towards the train station, returning home.

13) Break Into 3

But fate has other plans. The airplane glides over the city, almost supernaturally graceful and purposeful. It dives between buildings, and lands in the middle of the alley where all the paper planes have collected.

It sits immobile. Then it moves. Moves again. And jumps into flight. The airplane flies over the rest, stirring them into motion, into the air. In a place where not even a breath of wind could reach, there is now a whirlwind of George’s airplanes.

Though the forces of mediocrity tried to keep them apart, something greater has recognized George’s efforts and is going to see things through.

14) Finale

A parade of airplanes follows George down the street.

The leader attaches to his leg. He brushes it off, mad. A flurry of them attach to him, then carry him down the street, unfazed by his fighting.

The leader airplane rockets over the city purposefully, finds the girl, then lures her to follow.

 She chases after.

Somewhere else in the city, George is being pushed wherever the paper airplanes want him to go. We switch back and forth between George and the girl, as the airplanes push him and beckon her.

Until they’re both on different trains, which stop simultaneously, on opposite sides of the platform. The girl gets out. She fiddles with the airplane, like she’s trying to get it to work again. And just then, a breeze brings hundreds of paper planes skittering all around the platform.

 She looks up …

15) Closing Image

And there’s George, covered in paper planes.

He lurches towards Meg, and the airplanes falls away, their work done.

George and Meg face each other, smiling, the barriers of routine and shyness overcome. Exactly what should have happened, exactly what was meant to happen. Putting effort into connection and love prevailed in the end, defeating the allure of life spent in safety and mediocrity. The closing image is the opposite of the opening: he’s not alone, he’s not facing the train leading to his mundane job, he’s not looking miserable and hopeless. He’s facing the girl, his bright and meaningful new future.

So! Those are the 15 plot points. This is a fantastic way to begin learning what story structure is, why it works the way it does, and how to precisely pull it off.

For a more in-depth explanation, I highly recommend picking up a copy of Save the Cat. (It holds a special place in my heart; it was the first screenwriting book I ever read, and started obsessive study of storytelling.)

“Hey Derek, can you get the IT intern in here? Printer connection’s fucked up again.”

Derek practically dives across his desk to grab the phone when his boss closes his office door.

Will answers with his typical, monotoned, “IT, this is Will.”

“Hey, Will! So, here’s the thing,” he starts, but Will cuts him off right away.

“Oh my god, Derek, don’t touch anything, I’m on my way.”

Will hangs up on him immediately after that, which Derek finds equal parts amusing and offensive. He tried to fix the computer one time at the beginning of the summer, and now Will refuses to even try to talk Derek through fixing anything. Every call from Derek requires Will to come into the office and fix it himself, which Derek is definitely not complaining about.

Will walks into the office and Derek tries not to swoon. It’s only 11:00, but it must’ve been a long day already, because Will’s already ditched his suit jacket and rolled the sleeves of his dress shirt up. Derek has to restrain himself from groaning when he sees that Will’s got on his slate grey pants, the ones that are just a little bit tight, stretching over his thick thighs and ass. He’s got on his typical, frustrated look and Derek kind of hates himself for finding it hot.

“Willy P!” Derek yells across the room.

“Oh my god, Derek,” Will groans. “We are in an office.”

“We’re in an office and we’re interns, Willy boy. No one cares what we do. We are invisible until we are needed.”

“Well, apparently right now I’m needed,” Will huffs. “So show me what you screwed up.”

“I didn’t screw it up! The printer connection’s fucked again.”

“Thank god, that’s actually an easy fix,” Will sighs. Derek tries not to pout too obviously. An easy fix means Will won’t be here very long.

By now, two months into the summer, Derek knows that Will knows where the printer is, but he leads him back there anyway. He leans back on the counter as Will gets to work, watching over the rim of his coffee mug.

“Don’t you ever work?” Will asks, not looking away from the printer.

“Eh,” Derek shrugs, “I guess it’s a slow day.”

“Seems like it’s always a slow day for you,” Will says.

“Only when you’re around, Willy P,” Derek grins. He sees the way Will’s cheeks get pink even as he shakes his head.

It doesn’t take long before Will finishes, and Derek waits as he tests it out.

“Alright, let your boss know you’re good to go,” he says. “I’ll see you tomorrow when you forget how to connect your keyboard to your computer again.”

“Or,” Derek starts, pausing to gather his courage, “We could go get lunch. IT interns get lunch, right?”

“We do get lunch,” Will nods. “We might not get a four-hour long lunch like you publishing interns, though.”

“Let’s start with half an hour for lunch, then, and you can make up the three and a half more hours at dinner,” Derek tries.

Will goes pink in the cheeks again, and Derek is fully prepared to play it off as a joke until Will says, “Lunch sounds good.”

“And dinner?” Derek asks. He knows he’s pushing his luck, but he can’t help it.

“Dinner sounds good, too,” Will grins.

Derek isn’t even a little bit embarrassed about the way he blatantly fist-pumps in front of Will and the rest of the office.

The Tenth Floor pt 1

Min Yoongi had gone through 34 secretaries in the past 24 months, and each one of them left in tears. This fact alone should have warned you against taking the job, but the pay was too good to pass up. Surely you could put up with a billionaires temper-tantrums, right?

Reader x Yoongi

Genre: Fluff, humor, probably some angst

Warnings: Strong language at times

You certainly looked the part. Dress slacks, light-blue blouse, a blazer with the sleeves rolled up once. You were even wearing heels, much to your distaste. You had bought your slacks at a consignment store cheap, and they fit other than the length. You planned to either have them hemmed or buy new ones as soon as you got your first pay check, but for now you would have to survive without practical shoes.

The elevator you were standing in was basically a box of mirrors, and everywhere you looked you saw yourself. It was a little disconcerting, so you tried to focus on your phone. You felt the elevator stop, and you glanced up at the numbers on the wall. You were only on the fifth floor, so you guessed someone else must be going up as well.

You were right, and watched as two young men stepped into the elevator with you. The taller of the two gave you a smile as the other almost pressed the button for the tenth floor, noticed it was already lit up, and dropped his hand.

“You must be the new secretary.” He commented, and you raised your eyebrows.

“Yeah, how did you—“

“We know everyone on the tenth floor.” The taller man replied. “My name’s Seokjin, by the way.” He held out his hand for you to shake.

“Nice to meet you.” You said, giving them both a smile. “I look forward to getting to know you both.”

“Don’t count on it.” The second man snorted.

Seokjin shot the other man a look, and hit his arm lightly. “Jimin, don’t scare the girl off on her first day.” Jimin shrugged, unperturbed.

“What do you mean, ‘don’t count on it’?” You asked, and Jimin smiled.

“I mean, you won’t be around long enough to get to know us.” He looked over to Seokjin. “I’d give her a week, tops.”

Seokjin sighed. “Such a pessimist.” He chided before sizing you up. “She’ll last a month.”

Let’s get started xx

[Reader’s POV]

Taking a sip of your tea you rest the mug back down. Your fingers clicked against the keyboard as you typed a new document. It needed to be done by this evening and you knew you could finish it. After what happened at the hospital you were in higher spirits. Seeing Jaelynn smile like that warmed your soul.

Tom being the cause of her smile made you admire him even more. You don’t know what Marie was talking about he truly has a good side to him. The way he acted around kids was so natural. Moving your mouse to the plus adding another tab you click the search bar. Typing in ‘Tom Holland visiting Hospital kids’ and hitting enter after.

The screen loads showing tons of videos on Youtube. Scrolling through you click on one of them. Looking at Tom then vs now he looks practically the same. Wondering if he sold his soul to the Devil to look young. He’s handsome without even trying who are you kidding?

Apparently wherever he filmed he would stop by a hospital to see the kids. The videos you watched made your heart melt. When he pulled off his mask in front of a teenage girl her reaction was priceless.

“Woah you’re really cute!”

Smiling at the video admiring how much Tom gave back as a celebrity. Still giving back now with The Holy Trinity Foundation. A loud ding fills the air making you snap back to reality. Searching your desk you locate your phone picking it up. Looking at the text you quickly open it and respond.

Lou Boo:

Bitch this place is fancy…

Lou Boo:

What’s your office number?

You:

Just come to the second to last floor, Mr. Holland’s home from home penthouse is on the top floor. Ask the woman at the desk and she’ll point to his office cause I’m literally right next to his office.

Lou Boo:

See you soon love xx Can’t wait to hear about your first day so far xx

Setting your phone down to the side you get back to work. The office phone rings loudly making you pick it up immediately. Raising it to your ear there was a brief silence. Doing your answering the phone line they finally answer.

“Hey this is Jacob Batalon, is Tom in his office?”

“Yes sir, he’s currently working on signing some papers I can patch you through” you say pressing the number one button on the option sending it to Tom. Resting the phone back down you look  back at your computer screen.

Looking over at time in the corner of the screen you’re wondering where Louis is. Rolling your eyes because he probably got lost. Typing for another five minutes you stop when you hear a knock on your door. Getting up from your chair you walk over opening the door.

“I’m here, you have so many attractive people in this office.. I had a chat and took some pictures with people, sorry love” he gives you a kiss on the cheek before heading inside your office. Turning around you close the door eyeing the bag he was holding. You were starving and needed food before your stomach roared like the kraken.

Louis sets the bag on the ground taking a seat across from you. Taking out boxes he sets yours down in front of you and his where he’s sitting. Placing a pair of chopsticks on your box he does the same with his. Pulling out two tea bottles he hands yours over. Opening it up the smell of green tea relaxes you.

“Soooo, what’s it like working for the legend himself?” Louis asks opening up his box of sushi. Breaking the chopsticks so they split you place them in your hands.

“Actually quite lovely to be honest.. he took time out of his morning today to surprise Jaelynn in  the hospital” picking up a roll you lightly dip it into the sauce.

“He actually went to see her? that’s amazing, she loves Spider-Man”

“I know she does.. she’s jealous that I moved in with you years ago cause you have all the cool superhero stuff littered around” you were lucky that you became friends with Louis ages ago. Jaelynn loves hanging out with his son. Right now his son is currently with his mum for the week and Louis’s been sad.

“I bet she would love a visit from you, maybe read her a comic like you used to?” his face perking up at your suggestion.

“We have to talk about this though, is he just as good looking in person? Any man would be look envy with him.. he looks so young for his age.. I look like age punched me ten years into the future” he acts dramatically putting his hand to his head leaning back.

“Louis shut up you idiot” you let out a loud laugh at how he’s acting. Sometimes you wonder if he’s just still a child.

The door next to you opens making your pause your movements. Setting the sushi back down you turn to see Mr. Holland in the doorway. His eyes looking between you and Louis. You nervously look over at Louis who had a prominent smile on his face. The silence was killing you.

“I didn’t know you were having a -“

“boyfriend, hey I’m Louis Tomlinson.. probably heard of me, I was in a famous boy band called One Direction”

“Louis sto-“

“It ended so clearly I haven’t heard of you, well you and your boyfriend have a lovely time” he turns around closing the door a little harder than normal.

“Fuck you Tomlinson, why the hell did you say that?!” you point your chopsticks over at him almost wanting to stab him with them.

“You should have seen the look he gave me… he’s into you babe” his laughter filling the air making your cheeks turn pink.

“Now he’s going to th-“

“He’s rude saying that to me, I’m Louis Tomlinson.. bitch” he huffs out running his fingers through his hair pouting before putting a piece of sushi in his mouth.

“You’re such a handful.. I don’t know how I put up with you”

“You do because I’m your best friend and cause I got you that Coach bag sitting right there” he points over to your bag hanging behind you.

“Bite me”

“He wouldn’t like that now would he?” a smirk not leaving his lips.

“God Dammit”

-

“Mr. Holland I finished the papers you wanted me to finish” setting the papers down he looks up at you. The tension growing in the air making you gulp nervously.

“Is he really your boyfriend?” he asks setting the papers aside in a tray. You step back nervously as he stands up.

“No he isn’t Mr. Holl-“

“It’s Tom, please call me Tom” his brown eyes looking a shade darker. Your heart beat was raising erratically.

“Louis isn’t my boyfriend we just live together” your chest tightening because that sounds just as bad.

“You live with him?”

“I couldn’t afford a place of my own and Louis is a family friend and has been letting me live with him..”

“So you need a place of your own then?” Tom stands in front of you then leans slightly against the desk. His arms were crossed over his chest and you couldn’t help but see how the shirt clung to his biceps.

“I’m fine Tom, I’m saving up now thanks to you helping out with Jaelynn..”

“Stay at my penthouse upstairs” your eyes widening His penthouse? Why would he offer for you to stay there? Maybe he doesn’t like you like living with Louis.

“I couldn’t possibly stay there Mr. Holland..”

“You will stay there.. plus being here you’re closer to the hospital… I can order a moving service to move your stuff in the guest room there”

“But don’t you live there too?” You ask looking at him as his lip swipes across his lower lip quickly.

“I do but only when I have late nights so it will be all yours, now I’m not going to say no because you have these files now to do and you’ll be here over night” He unfolds his arms reaching for a file. Sticking out his hand he hands you the thick file.

“Y-yes sir..” your eyes wide from the thickness of the file, holy fuck this was a lot of paper work.

“Come get me when you’re finished and I’ll show you around the penthouse” turning around he returns to his chair going straight onto his computer. His eyes focused as he started typing quickly.

Walking into your office you stressfully plop the file down onto your desk. Leaving you go and make some coffee for the long night ahead. Once you’re back you set up a playlist to listen to while you work. Your fingers typed as quickly as they could transferring the files manually into the system. Typing side notes on what could have been improved or what things were lacking in the company.

Hours went by as you tried keeping your eyes open. Minutes felt like ages as they ticked by slowly. Every time you blinked your eyes hurt even more. You were three cups of coffee in and your hands felt jittery. Backspacing on the error you just made you finish the last paper you had to do.

Turning your computer off you stretch your arms over your head. A button coming undone form your top exposing more of your chest. Not giving a single fuck at this point you pick up the file of completed work. Standing up you feel the blood rush to your legs and let out a sigh of relief after sitting for so long. Picking up your phone you see a spam of messages from Louis.

Locking your phone so the screen turns black you stick it in your purse. Once you have your purse on, you then head to the door opening it. Stepping through you see Mr. Holland tapping his pencil against his chin. He turns his head to look at you with a surprised look on his face. Sticking out the file you let out a little yawn.

“Alright love, lets get you upstairs.. you look like you might pass out from exhaustion” he takes the files from you setting them down. Walking next to you he places his hand on the small of your back.

The two of you lock your office doors before heading down the hallway. Once down the hallway you turn the corner towards the elevator. Associates looking at the two of you with raised brows. Mr. Holland looks over at them making their heads turn away from you two. The elevator dings opening the doors signaling to walk in.

The ride up the next floor was dead silent. A buzzing sound goes off making the elevator stop. Mr. Holland reaches into his pocket pulling out a key. He sticks the key into the hole that was next to the buttons and turns the key.

The elevator doors open revealing a gorgeous foyer. Your eyes taking in the beautiful surroundings. The glass windows surrounding showed the city lights that immediately caught your attention.

Stepping into the living you turn around in a slow circle gazing at everything. Looking back at Tom to see him smiling at you. Blushing from how stupid you must have looked. You’ve never been in a home that looked so extravagant. He walks over taking your hand giving it a small tug.

“C’mon I’ll show you the bedroom…”

What about the RFA and Unknown and V finding out that MC has a career in the arts (author, artist, actor or something like that?) @saeranlover

Lol it’s been like 5,000 years since I’ve done a request, here you go bbies

Yoosung:

  • It was always a lingering thought in Yoosung’s mind
  • The thought always came randomly, but sometimes he swore that he  recognized your voice
  • Like the one time you yelled “Come at me!” at a friend who was teasing you and he just froze for a second to think about why it sounded familiar
  • It wasn’t until one day he was testing out a LOLOL character he’s never played before and she screamed out a line of dialogue before her attack
  • And suddenly he heard your voice behind him perfectly recreate the line
  • He turned around to see you cheekily grinning from your place on the bed
  • But it was wiped off your face soon enough because baby boi just pounced you into a big hug
  • “MC WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME YOU VOICED A CHARACTER IN LOLOL I WOULD’VE PLAYED AS HER MORE OFTEN IF I KNEW.”
  • You giggled as he rapidly asked you other things you voice acted in and gawked when he recognized the other characters you’ve voiced in games and cartoons
  • He’ll shyly ask you to reenact his favorite lines or scenes and his inner fanboy will show
  • Yoosung’s never really been into the behind the scenes stuff but he already somewhat was a fan of yours before so he’s basically dating his favorite VA
  • Silly lil’ peanut is gonna ask for your autograph on his merch of the characters you’ve voiced

Jaehee:

  • She found out during one of your nights in
  • You were in the kitchen preparing the snacks while Jaehee sorted through the set of musicals the two of you had rented for tonight (you finally convinced her that watching ‘Promiscuous Jalapeno’ for the 8th time in a row was a little much)
  • Once that was all said and done, you cuddled up to Jaehee while the movie started as she fed you popcorn
  • Oh crap, you recognized this movie
  • You actually got the part of the main dancer in this film (it was your typical dance batte film)
  • You somewhat never wanted her to find out  that you were an actor/dancer in fear of always being compared to Zen
  • Once your character was introduced, Jaehee’s eyes squinted a little at the screen before gasping and shaking your shoulders
  • “MC, MC, IS THAT YOU?”
  • “U-uhm nooooo…?”
  • “Wait, why would you keep this secret from me?”
  • After explaining your reasoning as to why, she just pulled you into a tight hug
  • “I’d never compare you anyone else, I love you just the way you are, famous or not!”
  • After watching the movie, she put aside the time to scour the internet for every performance you’ve been in and is about to be the proud owner of all your merch
  • jaehee please no that was our grocery money

Zen:

  • “lolol zen have you seen mc’s latest cover?”
  • “Cover? What’re you talking about?”
  • “the one on her youtube channel???”
  • “…”
  • “you do know what she does for a living, right??”
  • After Seven endlessly mocked Zen for not knowing what his own girlfriend did for a living, Seven graciously provided the link to your Youtube channel
  • Zen then proceeded to spend the next 3 hours of his life going through
  • your entire channel
  • He knew that you liked to sing and sounded like an angel but this
  • This is something extraordinary
  • You actually made a living doing this and he never even knew!
  •  He finally made his way up to your latest cover (which was uploaded about a week ago), and HO L Y  C R A P
  • It was the song he’s practiced at home for months on end for a musical he recently just starred in!
  • When you get home that night, you’re bombarded with compliments and questions (mostly compliments)
  • You explained that you never recorded around him because you were afraid that he might’ve thought you were going to use him for popularity
  • “Babe, I know you would never do that NOW WILL YOU PLEASE DUET WITH ME–”
  • Guess who has the best mashup cover of ‘Butterfly’ now

Jumin:

  • Coming home a few hours early was indeed a rare occurrence for Jumin
  • Usually when he came home, you were instantly there to greet him with a hug and kiss
  • He called your name, but there was no response, just a faint typing sound
  • After hanging his coat on the coat hanger, he began walking towards the noise, his hands already working on loosening his tie
  • “Ah, here you are, my love,” he said upon entering the officeroom
  • “Jumin, you’re home early,” you smiled, letting your husband wrap his arms around your shoulders and resting his chin atop your head
  • “The office had to close early for some renovations,” Jumin explained, “but I’m more interested in what you’re working on.”
  • “I’m working on my next book!”
  • The surprised look on his face made you remember that you never brought it up to him before, but now is as good as time as any to explain
  • Jumin seemed genuinely intrigued as he listened to your explanation on your book series, which was apparently very popular
  • When you finished, he asked if you could lend him the first addition, as he did enjoy reading in his spare time
  • And soon enough, he was hooked
  • He’d have long talks with you over dinner on how he wasn’t expecting a plot twist or how well you wrote your characters
  • Or about how you should hurry and finish the next book because you left him on a cliffhanger

707:

  • He’s known since the background check that you had a job in digital art but he tucked that away in the back of his head because there were too many other things happening at the time (eg the hacker, your sudden appearance, his emotions and job…)
  • It isn’t until one day where he’s been able to work for a few hours straight without you lecturing him about how he should take a break
  • So he got up from his chair, slapped his right leg a few times to wake it up, and ventured outside his office to find you
  • To no surprise, you were huddled inside in the bedroom, but this time with your drawing tablet in hand
  • “Hey Saeyoung,” you tiredly muttered, eyes still glued to the laptop screen
  • His eyes trailed to where you were looking and a look of mock hurt morphed on his face, “MC, how dare you draw a picture of another man!”
  • You stifled a laugh at your boyfriend’s dramatic tone, “Zen just asked me to draw some things for his website so I’m–”
  • You should me drawing me instead! Here, I’ll even pose for you!”
  • You regret even looking behind you, because Saeyoung was already stripping down to his boxers, need I remind you the pair with cat faces on them
  • “DRAW ME LIKE ONE OF YOUR FRENCH GIRLS.”
  • “SAEYOUNG PUT YOUR CLOTHES BACK ON AND GET TO BACK TO WORK!”

V:

  • Usually you were making some sort of noise in the house, but today you were oddly quiet
  • “MC? Where are you?”
  • “I’m in the living room,” you hollered back as he started making his way over, “Be careful not to bump my arm though.”
  • “What’re you doing?” he asked, taking a seat on the floor next to you
  • You explained that you liked paint and used it as a way to make some extra pocket money
  • V was very happy and excited to hear that you had an artistic career just like him
  • You were always delighted to describe the paintings to him, and you always did it with such passion
  • After awhile, he started to miss photography and he so badly wanted to see your work for himself
  • So he decided to get the eye surgery
  • Once he did, he was shocked at how much he can see your heart poured onto the canvas
  • You often went out into nature together and sit there together for hours to photograph/paint and enjoy one another’s company
  • You also loved painting some of V’s older photographs and he loved it and every single one is framed in the house
  • #artsycouple
  • The day you painted a picture of the sun and gave it to him, he cried

Unknown:

  • The first time Saeran ever walked into your room, his eyes immediately darted to the big, colorful collection of sticky note pads on your desk
  • He picked one up, noting that every one had a slightly different drawing than the others, “What’re these for?”
  • “Oh, I’m an animator! I like to use these sticky notes when I’m bored.”
  • He never got to watch cartoons as a child so this was all new to him
  • Watching you peacefully work is very, very soothing to him, to just watch the lines fill with color so smoothly
  • You even let him have some of your already drawn-on sticky note pads and he likes to flip through them when he’s nervous or needs to calm down when something’s bothering him
  • His favorite is the one you made for him where it goes “I love you, Saeran!” with a cute little doodle of a cartoony-looking you kissing his cheek on it
  • As mentioned before, he never got to watch cartoons or movies as a kid and he’s willing to watch the ones you’ve worked on
  • It always amazes him that you made what was on the screen and he loves it (he’s never said it out loud but it shows on his face)
  • He really enjoys the ones that are story-based rather than the nonsense slapstick ones (which is what Saeyoung enjoys, much to his dismay)
  • Seeing the childlike innocence in his eyes is heartwarming and you wouldn’t trade it for the world
