of personal self defense

Repost Weekend: Info you may have missed.
Bad guys have been known to follow someone home after seeing the victim putting expensive purchases in their car. Don’t think that it’ll never happen to you. Be aware.

Investing in yourself as a Sugar Baby!

Taking care of your mind and body is important especially when you expect men to drop thousands of dollars on you every month for the pleasure of your company! Personally before even thinking about becoming a sugar baby this year, I’ve been taking care of myself for years because appearance is very important in my line of work. Keep in mind that I’m in my late 20s so some stuff you might not even need at this point since most of you are in your late teens or early 20s. Enjoy those years haha well I can’t complain, I have a baby face ;) So here is a list of things I’ve done or I will be starting this year that keeps me looking good and feeling awesome plus it makes for a hot SB:

  1. Manicure + pedicure - I do them professionally in a salon every 3weeks.
  2. Laser hair removal - I’m doing my whole bikini and underarms right now and will start my legs in the next year..shaving is a pain and too much work..laser is painful especially the whole bikini but worth it!
  3. Removing stretch marks - I will do laser for that when I move to LA because those stupid marks on my butt are a pain in the ass for my confidence sometimes..I have awesome 34DD natural breasts but my ass needs some perfecting to be at the same level lol
  4. Removing cellulite - I just finished a 10 weeks treatment with the Velashape 2 in a beauty clinic for my thighs and butt..I think it helped although I only had a low amount of cellulite and it’s still not perfect or all gone..I think I was expecting too much of a VS model’s perfect ass haha drinking water, exercising and eating healthy plus putting firming body cream (I use an expensive one from my clinic with 10% caffeine) everyday helps plus I’ll need to do maintenance treatments every year to maintain the results.
  5. Removing spider veins on legs - I started treatments this year, it helps but spider veins are a recurring issue for women especially with age so I will have to do maintenance treatments every year but it’s very good that I started young even if I didn’t have a lot but the ones behind my knees were bothering me a lot. I have very white skin so my veins show easily haha I need to tan more!
  6. Dermabrasion - I started dermabrasion aka removing dead skin on your face this year..I used to have bad acnee when I was young but now my skin is much better although I still get occasional pimples and don’t have perfect skin without makeup.
  7. Acnee creams recommended by my dermatologist that I apply every day or 2 days - I mostly only have some redness and occasional pimples but the products help for that and to make my pores less visible.
  8. Laser eye surgery - I wear contacts and I’m thinking of doing the laser surgery but I’m not sure since lots of people have horror stories so I’m still thinking about it but being free of glasses and contacts would be awesome..I’m just scared of surgeries and try to avoid them as much as possible.
  9. Spray Tan - I don’t want skin cancer so I prefer spray tan when I need to have a nice tan although the maintenance is a pain in the butt..I sometimes do tanning creams at home since I’m pretty good at applying it but that’s annoying to maintain also.
  10. Gym membership - I started going to the gym finally this year although I have always had a pretty athletic body but since I like to eat wtv I want and I’m getting older lol I need to watch out!!
  11. Personal trainer for the gym - I’m going to get one soon so I can learn what to do to target the issues I want to work on plus it’s good to have someone to motivate you since I’m lazy lol
  12. Martial arts or self defense classes - Personally I do martial arts because it’s for my line of work but also because I love to kick ass. I took some self defense classes years ago and it was amazing..I think every woman should do that especially sex workers and SBs..I actually need to brush up on those moves especially the ones when your assailant is on top of you.
  13. Hair and eyelash extensions - I need to get new hair extensions because the hair dresser messed them up when she cut them although I basically never wear them lol too lazy to put them on every time so I’ll look into other options soon and get a SD to pay for it and for eyelash extensions. Never tried that and want to see how it will look and feel.
  14. Makeup and hair tutorials or classes - I started watching more videos on youtube to learn more tricks especially with hair since I suck but I’m getting a lot better..I might get a future SD to pay a hairstylist to show me 5-10 ways to do my hair haha.
  15. Good hair products and makeup - Start investing in good products that don’t ruin your hair and face..When you can it’s good to invest in more expensive products when they are better quality and less chemicals.
  16. Keeping your body soft like a baby’s skin - I put cream every night on my body to keep my body all smooth and soft plus to keep my boobs, stomach, thighs and ass all firm..better to start young!
  17. Facial creams - Very important to keep your face moisturized plus eye cream is always good to start young..those SDs want a baby face not a face ruined by sun and age.
  18. Drinking lots of water - You need minimum 2 liters of water everyday..I basically only drink water..no coffee or soft drinks but juices on occasion and I do love wine when I go out.
  19. Eating healthy - I need to be more disciplined for that because I like to eat wtv I want although I do eat vegetables and fruits everyday.
  20. Be happy and confident - Keep yourself healthy mentally..those men pay for no drama..I actually tried hypnotherapy by curiosity this year..only did 4 sessions to work on my self-esteem and confidence and it was pretty interesting to realize how I bring myself down sometimes.
  21. Teeth are very important! Having a nice smile attracts people including SDs! - Keep your teeth clean and white..I do my teeth cleaning every 9 months now (instead of 12) plus I bought a whitening kit made for me from my dentist to use at home although my teeth are pretty white already. I had braces when I was young so I have perfect teeth..I wear my night retainer occasionally to keep them straight and perfect.
  22. Massages and acupuncture - I did both this year and need to start doing massages every 2 weeks for my back lol I’ll get a SD to pay for that!
  23. Investing in a new wardrobe - Dressing the part is important and you need something to wear for all those awesome dates you will be going on! Get a SD or POT to take you shopping and choose classic pieces that you will be able to mix and match and pull off multiple outfits with. If you don’t have anyone to pay for it, take some of your money and start buying some nice pieces or even just adding an accessory to your outfit might make the difference. You don’t have to buy expensive brands (wait for a SD to do that for you), until then buy pieces that are good quality and in solid neutral colors. Go for classy not trashy!
  24. Reading more about current events, finances and how to invest money but also some of those self help books. Be aware of what is going on in the world. - I need to start doing this more because I personally don’t follow the news or politics (too depressing) plus I want to learn how to manage my money. It’s always good to be able to hold a conversation with a SD especially if you go to events with him! You want to be the whole package of looks, brains and personality!!
  25. Learning new skills is important in my opinion plus it keeps you busy and SDs will be impressed by your hobbies, interests and skills. - Personally I love reading, cooking (I want to take some classes to get even better), dancing (I took a lot of different dance classes but I want to learn the waltz and other more conservative dances for black tie events), learning new languages (I speak multiple languages and it always impresses people especially in the US for some reason), etc.. With my line of work, I like to acquire new skills as often as I can so I can add them to my CV and stand out..plus it’s fun!

Ok so I’m going to stop here because this post is freaking long lol I’ll add more if I think about something else but just remember that you are selling a product which is yourself and you need to stand out! Being a SB is not just about looking pretty..you have to be interesting too! I see a lot of SD’s profiles that mention personality and not just looks. So take care of yourself mentally and physically :) You got to invest in yourself (the product) to make money..that’s how marketing and business work and it’s the same with sugar dating! Pay your bills and then use some of that allowance on bettering yourself to catch an even bigger fish (or whale lol)!! Go get them girls! xoxo

I know you've trained to defend yourself since you've been bullied so i was wondering what type of fighting style do you employ and do you spar with people?

Honestly I’d say my fighting style these days is more about efficiency and getting the job done quick with a lil bit of Terry Mcguiness & Kid Buu to be honest lol

One of my friends made a great point “when you’re older you go from having these like Kung Fu, Street Brawl spectacle battles to Liam Neeson taken shit”

and I agree so much with that sentiment, I’ve had a lot of injuries from when I was younger and back then I used to LOVE TO SPAR it was fun to challenge, I really loved to box random people but then as many know I tore my shoulder in 2013 so I havent been able to do that as much but thankfully a lot of my Marine and Navy Seal friends have shown me how to protect myself or someone I care about quickly without added stress.

Also Nowadays because I meditate daily I am honestly not a confrontational person, That doesn’t mean I won’t stand up for myself or be a punk but I honestly believe you can talk out most problems and people need to realize if you physically attack someone just because they weren’t buying into your bullshit and hit you, THEIR ASS is getting Arrested for straight up assault. Though I remember learning in college if you provoke someone to attack you by insulting them or making fun of them you could possibly be arrested for provocation. Though Seattle has its laws when you can have Mortal Kombat if both parties agree So I always have that in my mind.

And honestly these days if I am in a situation where someone is trying to attack me I’ll just say they have relinquished their own safety as I defend myself.

For example if someone is coming at me with intent to harm & I think my life is potentially in danger, I’ll straight up pull a Bobby Hill thats my Purse I dont know you and kick em right in the dick,

Or gouge an eye or bite to tear something because I made it clear I was not trying to fight and you’re attacking me so I’m going for all the weak spots to get your ass off of me. Shit one person I went to high school with tried to box some guy in a bar fairly and then got a bottle smashed in face and his head cracked down on the cement and he died.

I notice there’s too much of a “Ya gotta fight em like a man, Fair! STOP with that cheap shit”

If you’re having a MATCH  with someone I 100% agree stick to the rules, but if you’re fighting and you dont know how its gonna play out for your own safety

DO WHAT YA GOTTA DO!

and someone wants to have like a One on One duel I’d make it clear I am genuinely not interested, you can say all the names you want and if someone records that you could show it to the proper authorities and say This person was trying to bait me into doing something dangerous and something I didn’t want to do it.

That’s my honest philosophy I just keep to myself but If I have to protect myself or someone I care about I don’t care about “fighting standards” Just get them damaged and get out of there or just get out of there in general.

Stoncy headcanons, aka the OT3 content We Should Have Had in S2:

  • I guess for In Canon Compliant: Nancy realizes after she and Jonathan get together that she still loves Steve - she does a lot of searching and realizes that a lot of her unhappiness came from hiding about Barb, but she sees Steve and there’s so much love, just like there is for Jonathan and it hurts.
    • They all sit down and they all cautiously agree that she’ll date them both. Jonathan and Steve don’t initially date - they hang out sometimes, and people will joke or sneer at them, but the two find that they bond regardless, and one day they realize that they like each other too, and the trio pops up..
  • For their 7th anniversary, Jonathan buys them a house. A Whole. Damn. House. Steve just about cries when he sees how big their kitchen is, and Nancy’s trying to speak, but absolutely no sound is coming out, her mouth is just open wide in shock but she loves it.
  • Jonathan brings home a stray kitten into their house. He saw it cowering in a storm & after they couldn’t find her owners they adopted her.
    • Her name is Farrah Pawcett, as lovingly named by Steve.
  • Steve will try to pull the other two into babysitting the kiddos. Nancy is the Stern One, while Steve is the one who tries (and fails) not to be a pushover and Jonathan is the one who’ll silently tag along to make sure no one’s falling down the stairs (as Dustin has done. Multiple times).
  • Nancy’s probably the most out-there about their relationship. People have definitely thrown out names about the three, but Nancy will see those, smile, and then hold both Jonathan and Steve’s hands and stare pointedly at the offender until they look away.
  • They’ll watch horror movies together and honestly nothing ever really looks that good after seeing the horrors of the Upside Down but they’ll still cuddle in together and Steve is sandwiched in the middle still shrieking and holding onto the other two because he is the person who gets jumpscared. Every. Single. Time.
  • They definitely teach Jonathan self defense. He can’t swing a bat or shoot a gun to save his life but they got him these knuckle rings and taught him that hairspray + a lighter will make for a great flamethrower so he’s got that going for him now.
  • g o d Nancy and Jonathan are the competitive parents/older siblings. If you say anything about their siblings they will have you Marked for Blood lmao. Nancy’s the most outwardly vengeful while Jonathan silently helps from behind.
    • Steve usually won’t fight unless some ass like Billy Hargrove tries to get in the kids’ faces - otherwise, though, Steve’s just there going “YOU’RE DOING AMAZING SWEETIE” and hoping nobody dies.

Does anyone else have a moment where you hear a song and suddenly it’s explaining everything you are currently feeling in that exact moment and you’re wondering how someone else took your exact emotions and created this song like wow you actually know me

Enneagram 1´s defense is meticulousness. Nobody can pick apart a person who will dissect the aggressor more.

Enneagram 2´s defense is self-sacrifice. Nobody can hurt a person who hurts themselves already.

Enneagram 3´s defense is their status. Nobody can ruin a reputation of someone who will ascend tenfold through humiliation.

Enneagram 4´s defense is originality. Nobody can insult someone who will always come up with a better insult that destroys their aggressor´s core.

Enneagram 5´s defense is aloofness. Nobody can ostracize a person who is already an outsider.

Enneagram 6´s defense is their rationality. Nobody can disrupt someone whose deepest emotions are intellectualized.

Enneagram 7´s defense is versatility. Nobody can hold onto a person who slips away - the more pressure is applied - like a bar of soap.

Enneagram 8´s defense is offense. Nobody can beat a person when they have been preemptively beaten.

Enneagram 9´s defense is understanding. Nobody can hurt a person who knows pain.

Pulse Part 5

Part 4

Genre: Angst
Words: 2,080
Pairings: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Warnings: Stalking, minor violence
Summary: Soulmate AU in which one’s heartbeat becomes perfectly in sync with their soulmate’s once they meet.

Bucky’s black Ford Explorer smelled like leather. With all of the things going on at the moment, your mind could only focus on the fact that his car was the newest model. That, and that your red, scraped palms were burning.

“Did you get a good look at his face?” Bucky’s rough voice broke the silence as his car sped through an intersection.

“Just his eyes. I wasn’t focusing on remembering what he looked like, I was kind of trying not to be killed.”

Any vulnerability you had shown in front of Bucky on the sidewalk had been locked up as soon as you entered his car. He might have been willing to help you, but he was doing so out of kindness, not because he had feelings for you.

I'm writing a character who starts out fragile, but joins a band of adventurers and becomes increasingly better at defending herself, javing no othet choice. However, reading through your blog it seems like the gap between skill levels is wider than I thought. As in, it might not be worth it for someone to learn fighting unless they plan on throwing themselves into it. Would it be worth it for her to learn to fight marginally well, or should she focus on getting better at running away?

The question isn’t “should she learn to fight?”, it’s “how skilled do you expect her to be in a short period of time?”.

The answer to the question posed in the ask is both. She should focus on learning to fight and getting better at running away. Both are necessary survival skills. In fact, learning to run away is part of learning to fight. Learning to assess a situation to determine the threat level and decide when it is time to go. Learning to defuse situations to avoid a violent confrontation is also part of learning to fight.

Here’s the problem with the general outlook most people have on combat training. They think you’re learning to handle all the situations which come your way violently. That’s not it. You’re learning how to asses the situations to determine whether or not its within a range you can handle. The best warriors are the ones who know when to fight, when not to fight, when to call for backup, and when to leave.

Those skills are the ones she needs. It’s entirely possible to learn fighting as a defensive option when her other skills fall through. This is not someone who is going to be going at it with practiced swordsmen in a one on one duel, but might get good at cutting themselves free and learning how to create exits so they can find a safer position. They’re not particularly good at violence in the professional sense, but it works as a fallback when the situation grows desperate.

Combat is a skill set. With consistent practice she’ll get better at it and the more scenarios she’s thrown into then the faster she learns how to survive.

She’s going to spend a lot of time running away at first, which she will grow better at. Then, eventually, she’ll learn how to turn and fight. She’ll get better at that too as time passes. She’ll never be the equivalent of the team’s muscle, but that’s not the point. She may end up being a “fight only when I have to/last line of defense” character, but that works fine. I’m going to assume she has other skills she’s developed which are more useful to this merry band than her combat ability. Even if she doesn’t, she still works as a character. I mean, Merry and Pippen are some of the most beloved characters in The Lord of the Rings and they contribute almost nothing except moral support. People play bards in Dungeons & Dragons. (Kidding, bard lovers, they’re awesome and can be incredibly deadly.)

The issues come when we start thinking a character needs to have certain qualities in order to be legitimate, rather than figuring out what their skill sets are and using those as the basis for how they solve problems.

Create a scenario and solve it based on what the character can do rather than what they can’t do. The assumption that a situation needs to be solved violently or that there’s only one outcome is faulty. Your story is in a character’s ability to problem solve, what the issue is and the way they went about finding a solution. Flattering your way out is just as legitimate as fighting, even more so as it draws less attention and creates fewer additional problems.

I’ve got a character who can do magic, but isn’t good enough to be a combat mage. She can’t really fight. When she and her friends were captured by giants, she was small enough to slip out through the cage bars. Since she wasn’t good at lockpicking and they were too far away to get help, she decided to go talk to the giants. The story evolved from there.

“If I can’t do X, what else can I do?”

That’s where the story is.

There are a variety of different skill ceilings with combat, levels of what you can do and can’t do. A person with a weekends self-defense training isn’t going to be tackling Navy Seals, but they’ll be better at identifying danger in their surroundings. They’ll be better at creating exits to so they can escape to safety. They may have a better chance when faced with danger.

You said it yourself, the point of this character training to fight isn’t so she can throw herself into the fray against seasoned combatants but to help her survive. Focus on that and keep track of her skill level versus that of her opponents.

like… my dad loves guns… I grew up with guns in the house (locked away) and I’ve even shot my dad’s pistol before. but that doesn’t change my opinion that people should be allowed to dislike guns without being ridiculed

someone: anduin sux bcs hes such a wimp

me: why i mean he stood up to an orc like three times his size to stop him from unleashing the might of the sha and then got crushed by a bell, a traumatic incident, and then had to relive the experience in pandacourt. he also voluntarily kept visiting garrosh to talk to him, without any sort of guard with him, the person that caused said trauma, not to mention he was still a child then, and-

someone: yeah but he doesnt like resorting to violence thats being a pussy

*SLAMS TWO SHINY NICKELS DOWN* GIVE ME ALL YOU WANT TO TELL ABOUT MONROE PLS

FINALLY here are A FEW of my FAVORITE/MOST INTERESTING facts about my second favorite founding father!

  • James Monroe is the youngest founding father, born in 1758 in Virginia.
  • He had one sister and three brothers- one of whom (Spence) died when he was fifteen. Monroe was very close with his mother, who was also his teacher until he was eleven and at the age of sixteen his father died.
  • 1774 was also the year he started College of William and Mary and was a devoted student. He started with intentions of studying law- but dropped out months later to enlist in the 3rd Virginia Regiment in 1775.
  • June 1775, Monroe, and other students joined twenty four older men in raiding the arsenal at the Governor’s Palace in Williamsburg. They used the loot of 200 muskets and 300 swords to arm the Williamsburg militia.
  • During the Revolutionary War, he served under General George Washington, and was an aide de comp for General Stirling.
  • In 1776, James Monroe was a hero at the Battle of Trenton. He was sent in an earlier boat across the Delaware River by General George Washington to scout. He nearly died at the battle, wounded at Trenton- he was shot in the left shoulder, he bled fast because the bullet severed an artery and he only survived because the volunteer medic stuck his finger in the bullet hole to stop the bleeding. He carried the shrapnel in his shoulder for the rest of his life.
  • In John Trumbull’s painting The Capture of the Hessians at Trenton, December 26, 1776, Monroe can be seen lying wounded at left center of the painting. In the famous painting by Emanuel Leutze, Washington Crossing the Delaware, Monroe is depicted holding the American flag.
  • In 1777, after the Battle of Brandywine, George Washington sent for French speaking James Monroe to stay with Lafayette (who had been shot at the battle) throughout the night. According to Lafayette, James Monroe spent the entire night talking about how much he loved Thomas Jefferson. (Giles)
  • Monroe also wintered at Valley Forge, eventually reaching the rank of Colonel in the Virginia service.
  • During the time that Monroe was stationed with Aaron Burr- Burr fell in love with Theodosia Prevost; and so did James Monroe. (Isenburg)
  • In 1780 the British invaded Richmond, and Governor Thomas Jefferson commissioned Monroe as a colonel to command the militia raised in response and act as liaison to the Continental Army in North Carolina.
  • Monroe did not return to William and Mary after the war, but finished his legal training with then Virginia Governor Thomas Jefferson who became one of his closest correspondents along with James Madison.
  • James Monroe and his wife, Elizabeth Monroe, had a particularly close relationship and married in 1786. Their warm family life is illustrated by his wife and two daughters, Eliza and Maria (they had a son but he died at sixteen months), who all accompanying Monroe on nearly all his official travel, including diplomatic assignments in France and Great Britain.
  • During their time in France, the James and Elizabeth attended Napoleon I’s Coronation in Notre Dame Cathedral. Elizabeth was very strong and instrumental in fighting for the Lafayette’s rights and land as well as making sure while Marquis de Lafayette was in prison, his wife–Adrienne de Lafayette–wasn’t guillotined and got her freedom.
  • The Monroes also provided support and shelter to the American citizen Thomas Paine in Paris, after he was arrested for his opposition to the execution of Louis XVI.
  • Did you know that James Monroe once almost got into a duel with Alexander Hamilton? They both squared up in the home of Monroe’s family-in-law before Hamilton declared a duel to which Aaron Burr stopped from happening.
  • Monroe moved to Albemarle County, Virginia to be near his friend and mentor, Thomas Jefferson. His farm Highland actually shared a border with Jefferson’s Monticello. With the addition of their colleague James Madison—whose home in Orange County, Virginia was situated on their way to and from Washington. Three presidents of the United States were neighbors.
  • When Monroe was Governor of Virginia in 1800, hundreds of slaves from Virginia planned to kidnap him, take Richmond, and negotiate for their freedom. Due to a storm on August 30, they were unable to attack. Monroe influenced the Executive Council to pardon and sell some slaves instead of hanging them.
  • 1803, Thomas Jefferson sent him to France to assist Robert Livingston with the negotiation of New Orleans. Finding Napoleon strapped for cash and willing to sell the entirety of the Louisiana Territory, Monroe took advantage of a deal that would double the size of the nation.
  • As Envoy to Spain, Monroe took a journey by mule from Paris to Madrid to negotiate with Spain for the Floridas.
  • During James Madison’s presidency, James Monroe held TWO cabinet positions at once–Secretary of War and Secretary of State. He was the only person in America’s history to of held TWO cabinet positions at the same time.
  • Monroe’s first presidential term was coined the Era of Good Feelings.
  • His inauguration was the first ever to of been done outside.
  • His daughter–Maria–was also the first to be married at the white house!
  • James Monroe was the first president to travel by steamboat. Towns across the country greeted him with parades, lavish dinners, and other grand events. The city of Charleston, South Carolina actually barbecued an ox in honor of his visit.
  • 1820, Monroe saw no opposing candidates, and he was re-elected with all but one electoral votes. The one electoral vote against him was the result of a man who wanted George Washington to be the only president elected unanimously. This was the last time the United States saw a candidate run without serious opposition- Monroe was the only president besides Washington to do so.
  • James Monroe has a song about him written at the time of his presidential campaign called “Monroe is the man”.
  • One time, William Crawford (secretary of treasury) called on Monroe at the White House to suggest a list of appointments he wished the President to approve. However, Monroe objected to Crawford’s list and said that he intended to make his own. Crawford lost his cool and snapped at the President, “Well, if you will not appoint persons well-qualified for the places, tell me whom you will appoint that I may get rid of their opportunities!”. The President was not intimidated by Crawford, telling his Treasury Secretary, “Sir, that is none of your damn business.“ Crawford was not easily intimidated, either (he killed a man in a duel years earlier). Monroe’s remark led Crawford to charge at the 67 year old President with his cane, waving it at Monroe while calling him a “damned infernal old scoundrel.”  Monroe was quick to grab two red hot tongs from a nearby fireplace for self-defense and threatened to personally throw Crawford out of the White House.
  • Monrovia, Liberia is the only foreign capital in the world named after a United States president.
  • Monroe was recognizably old-fashioned in choosing his attire. He was the last president to dress in the style of the Revolutionary War era (which was considered outdated) and was called nickname “The Last Cocked Hat.”
  • WHILE LIVING IN THE WHITE HOUSE- JAMES MONROE HAD A PET SPANIEL.
  • James Monroe was sent a drawing of a penis while he was president with a goofy note.
  • Because the white house burned down in the War of 1812 and the white house fund was broke- James Monroe had to dip into his own pocket to fix the white house and provide dinners for his guests. His wife Elizabeth chose all of the inside decor and furniture! By the time he finished his presidencies, he had lost his Virginia estate and was $75,000 in debt partly due to his wife’s poor health who likely had epilepsy and severe burns from when she collapsed near a fire.
  • James Monroe burned his correspondence with his wife after she died. He also burned many of his papers/letters in an attempt to keep a private life. When Elizabeth died, he predicted he would not live any longer. Elizabeth had been his political adviser and James frequently sought her advise.
  • Shortly before his death, James Madison and James Monroe (best friends and rivals) sent each other a heart felt letter. Monroe felt that he was fading and sent Madison a letter detailing how much he thought of him, and appreciated him, loved him through the years and how depressed he was that he would never see Madison ever again. Madison, getting emotional (who knew) sent him a letter back, scolding him that he shouldn’t be so negative because Monroe was going to get better and they were going to be able to hold one another again. Monroe never did get better.
  • Like John Adams and Thomas Jefferson before him, James Monroe died on July 4th on the 55th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
  • Monroe’s last words were, “I only regret that I should leave this world without again beholding him.” you wondering how this “him” was? IT WAS FUCKING JAMES MADISON. HE WAS TALKING ABOUT JAMES MADISON WHEN HE DIED.
  • After his death, family were careful to place James in perfect alignment next to his wife.
