Plant of the Day

Thursday 16 June 2016

Lathyrus odoratus ‘Painted Lady’ (sweet pea) is a hardy annual that dates back to the 18th century. The bicoloured deep pink and white flowers have a strong, sweet fragrance and are grown from seed each year. Here they have been planted out in the border at Sissinghurst, Kent, to add to colour and scent for the summer.
