Polka-dot cats spotted in Kate Manheim’s lyrical paintings made with marker on paper towel  

More than 50 works made on found cardboard and paper by the artist, actress, and legend of the avant-garde stage are in her solo show at White Columns, along with Dan Ochiva’s hilarious film of Manheim and her frequent collaborator Jack Smith hamming it up and talking on a tin-can phone.
