President Obama speaking in Denver on Tuesday:

That’s what makes this country great — a sense of common purpose and patriotism, an economic patriotism that says we fall and we rise as one nation, as one people.

We need an economic patriotism that says it’s a good thing that everybody gets health insurance.  That’s not a bad thing.  That’s a good thing.  It’s a good thing when women are paid the same as men for doing the same work.  That’s not un-American.

It’s a good thing when nobody who works full-time is living in poverty.  That’s not un-American.  That’s not radical.  It’s right.  It’s what built this country.
