Oakland, CA

From the Fruitvale BART station to the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, surrounding community members and groups such as “3rd World 4 Black Power”, “Hobak”, “API’s 4 Black Lives” , “Arabs 4 Black Resistance” all converged together on Martin Luther King Day in the streets chanting as one:

“The legacy of King is in the town, the Reverend would tell us to shut it down!”

It is estimated that over at least 2,000 people banded and marched together to stand in solidarity with the black community in a time where vocalization against the systems of oppression is at an all time high.
