The Baltimore & Ohio Across Southern Indiana
This is B&O’s line that runs across southern Indiana—between Louisville and St. Louis. The first image was made at the west end of the siding at Mitchell, Indiana. The next two photographs were taken a few miles west of the same town, at Georgia Siding.
The color position signals seen here are a real delight and are quickly becoming a rarity, with very few left in service anywhere in the United States.
Three images by Richard Koenig; taken in the mid- to late-1970s.
