Marinette strains her neck to look at Adrien petulantly; he looks over at her and cracks a grin.
“You’re slipping, Mari!”
As his serious facade melts, Marinette is suddenly acutely aware of how warm he is against her. She’s not sure she likes the feeling as her blood runs cold and her heart clenches. I can’t do this, she reminds herself sourly, and tries to go back to relishing in her friend’s company.
Every single droplet of water in the world was hand shaped, and it would move by crawling around. When a hand conjoined with another hand, they grabbed each other and then become bigger. The waves in the ocean are big arms, hitting the shore and crawling. Drinking water feels mostly normal, except when it hit your lips it felt like a spider crawling on you.
and i mean, like, we really asked ourselves “is she going to do it…or is she not going to do it”, but none of us suspected that she’d end up doing…that? you have to admit that was one hell of a plot twist
