nyc what is it about you

harrehlouyah  asked:

Just curious if you did a break down of ESNY lyrics. id like to see your take on it.

I haven’t, but howbow now?

A lot of fans think Ever Since New York is about that unholiest of fauxmances, Haylor, since the primary stuntin’ took place in NYC. Listening to the lyrics, I agree with that.

Picture it: NYC, December 2012. 1D is at a career high, having played to a sold out Madison Square Garden crowd. This level of hotness must have smelled like blood in the water to fake ass fame vampire, Taylor Swift and her team. So commence fakelationship stuntin’!

I’ll show you what skeeved me out the most. The hotel ho strolls:

They’d make sure to pap Harry coming and going so that fans would infer that the s-e-x must have surely taken place. Classy. This is how music is marketed. Why God?

Meanwhile, all this fakery was apparently taking a toll on Louis:

And the Elounor awkwardness was later mocked by Grimmy:

And it only got worse from there. By New Year’s Eve, Tay Tay was reveling in this Times Square look-at-me spectacle:

Harry, not so much:

This was the point where 1DHQ really dug in with the closeting. Payzer 2.0 launched December 2012, too. Not a coincidence. This is where reality must have really set in. And this is just based on what we can piece together. God only knows what kinds of conversations took place bts to put all this in place. But I can imagine it was dehumanizing and demoralizing. Aggressive hetero stuntin’ would become the new normal for 1D.

So that’s the kind of stuff that would’ve influenced ESNY. It’s easy to understand why he still feels some type of way about it.

Harry:

Tell me something, tell me something
You don’t know nothing, just pretend you do
I need something, so tell me something new
Choose your words ‘cause there’s no antidote
For this curse or what’s it waiting for
Must desert you just before you go

Harry is my people because he comes out the gate swinging. I’m guessing this first verse is directed at Taylor. Being older and having been in the business longer, Harry is looking to her to make him understand why this needs to happen. He wants her to help him make peace with it. But Taylor is the monster showbiz created. She has no wisdom to offer. So Harry is left grappling with this closeting, which feels like a curse. And “must desert you before you go” feels like a reference to the end of Haylor, where she played the role of good girl who got dumped…again.

There she is alone on a boat…deserted. This is what had to happen before she could go for good. It’s a reference to the fakery–knowing how things will play out before they even happen.

Oh, tell me something I don’t already know
Oh, tell me something I don’t already know

Again, Harry’s desperate for something more profound. I’m sure his team was telling him this was good for him, that it was in his best interests personally and professionally. But Harry isn’t really buying it.

Brooklyn saw me, empty avenues
There’s no water inside this swimming pool
Almost over, that’s enough from you
I’ve been praying, I never did before
Understand I’m talking to the walls
And I’ve been praying ever since New York

Harry was able to venture out into the boroughs, unbothered. But in Manhattan? It was lights, cameras, stunt time! And Haylor is like a empty swimming pool: an artifice without purpose. Just like a pool needs water to fulfill its purpose, a relationship needs a real emotional bond to fulfill its purpose. And of course, there wasn’t one. Harry’s counting the days until Taylor sails her fraudulent ass away on that boat. Enough! Same Harry. Same. These are trying times and Harry’s literally praying his way through it–searching for strength where he hadn’t looked before. That’s how profoundly hurtful this experience is for him And he’s been praying ever since. We know why.

The taxi in front of you sped off, the couple in the back giving you apologetic shrugs as they were the ones to get there first.

“Fuck!” You yelled, the coldness of New York City nipping softly at your nose. Your voice echoed off the buildings around you, people passing by you while you had a mental breakdown.

I know it’s popular to believe Eliza was active in her legacy; that she chose to be so silent.

But from everything I’ve read, none of that appears to be true.  She didn’t recede into the background at any point during her life.  She did things and she had the ear of many people, and she took advantage of that.  She reveled in her role as the widow of Alexander Hamilton, the daughter of General Philip Schuyler, the favorite of George Washington.  She was invited to travel with Lafayette up the Hudson in 1824.  They gave her the royal treatment up the Mississippi on her way to visit William in the 1830s.  The president came to see her on New Year’s Day in 1853.  Do you know that social causes became so popular in NYC in the early 19th century in part so you could rub shoulders with Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton? She worked for causes she cared about for fifty years, and she was celebrated for that during her life (and in the few years after)!  They appreciated who she was and what she’d accomplished and knew she was a great lady and worthy of praise and admiration.

To look at what she got during her life from the people of her time and then to look at how historians treat her–by putting the silent woman narrative on her–they’re just trying to justify their own lack of interest.  And they use the fact that she burned her letters to her husband (a totally normal act for women of her time) as some great excuse for their laziness.

anonymous asked:

Where is your proof that Louis is the UK?

Proof is taken so seriously in here.

It’s the twins bday tomorrow.

There’s pic of him almost every day now, 2 from older times (2013 pic, pic w fan).

They have used these distractions forever, having the tendency to post misdated/delayed pictures when both of them are MIA.

Both are MIA.

They’re distracting you. Here’s what I’m focusing on:

There’s silence for days now. H and L and Jeff are in UK, being Mia.

FEB 1 passed and Suddenly Louis’ image (handwriting, JHO) is or CAN BE used and he drew JHO enough times in NYC that there’s no doubt it’s his handwriting.

Suddenly Steve can name himself using words from JHO.

Suddenly Louis can post about JHO on FB.

Suddenly Louis can tweet about writing more songs.

Suddenly Steve can talk about the future (more collabs, ton of songs written). Remember the starking difference during promo 2.0? (Umm we’re just trying it out, we’re not sure, just jamming, we will see, no plans just meeting on Twitter via a DM,it’s all a miracle. etc etc.) Lies. Lies. Lies.

And suddenly the interviews turn professional and there’s no more baby question.

But there’s still no announced dates for promo 2.0 apart from Corden.

Austin makes a Livestream (he never did any) where his friend says there’s no Freddie. No damage control. The next day there’s another Livestream where he calls F johnny. Now. If I were their team and I wouldn’t ever want this fiasco I would’ve done damage control and would’ve never allowed that kid close to a laptop, much less taking another Livestream. Let alone w Freddie himself who he outed the day before.

EDIT the Johnny video seems to be old.

Still. No damage control. It’s silence. It’s a selfie where he shows his tattoo. The 28. It could mean anything. But it happens to be the last day of this month. March. March. March. So many contract related things point to march. ‘Hiatus started’, full stop founded, Elouno ending, Hadine ending. March is important in this fandom.

This Facebook post about New York City commuters working together to remove swastikas and hate speech from a subway car is going viral

A/N: making this into a series peeps! i didn’t think that a one-shot would suffice for what i wanted to write, soooooo, here it is!

Part 2

You grew up in Northeast New Jersey, so taking the bus back from NYC and your hometown wasn’t as hard as many might think. You soon heard about this new musical that many were anxious to see, and even your friends were constantly telling you about it. You ignored them, of course, because Broadway felt like an opera to you. Listening to showtunes and watching a show about one of the founding fathers just was not your cup of tea.

“Come on, Y/N! Just one song, please!” You friend begged, holding out their phone to you. You sighed, sipping on your coffee. It was freezing outside, below zero. You wore the biggest coat you owned, with giant earmuffs you found in one of your boxes.

You recently moved back to NJ, tired of the city life in Manhattan. Your family was right; living in the city was for people who were always on the go. Since you were the opposite of that, a writer, bumping into people in the streets every day, passersby’ stepping on your toes, was not the most entertaining thing you’ve done. Living there for four months was enough for you.

“No.” You grumbled, looking out the window of the local coffee shop. Your friend continued to whine about the stupid musical, and you eventually gave in, putting on the earbuds that she gave you. She played the opening song, called Alexander Hamilton. You smirked at the cheesiness, but pressed play.

“How does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore, and a Scotsman, dropped in the middle of a forgotten spot in the Caribbean…”

The song trailed on, and you bumped your head to the beat unconsciously, listening to the lyrics. You were surprised on how it sounded more like a mainstream song than a play. You didn’t notice your friend grinning at you, doing a little fist pump.

After the song finished, you gave her back her phone, sipping on your coffee once more. She looked at you, expecting a reaction. You shrugged, playing with your straw.

“It was alright.” Her eyes widened at your response. You didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of saying that you actually liked it, so denying it was the best way to go.

“Alright? It’s amazing, Y/N! Lin Manuel worked on this play for years, it’s anything but alright.” She mocked your tone, and you frowned at her.

“I told you, I don’t like Broadway shows. They’re boring and follow the same theme. I’m not interested.” She put her face in her hands, shaking her head slowly. You grinned at her actions, bringing your gaze back to the scene outside. Everyone seemed to be always on the move; headphones in and ignoring the world around them. You pitied them; they will never understand the world outside their screens.

“How am I friends with you?” She mumbled.

The rest of the time you were enjoying your break, she told you all the facts of the musical, even showing you some of the cast members. You couldn’t help but stare longer at the man who created the musical; Lin Manuel Miranda.

He was handsome, really handsome. You made a mental note of searching him up later, when your friend wasn’t bugging you about some tickets that she got. She convinced you to join her to see the musical, since your other friend cancelled on her last minute.

“If I go see this with you, would you stop trying to make me listen to the rest of the soundtrack?” You asked, throwing away the empty container into the recycling bin. She nodded quickly, to the point where you wondered if she gave herself whiplash.

“See you tomorrow!” She skipped away, trying to catch the next bus to bring her back home to Manhattan. You looked the train back to your town in NJ, taking less than twenty minutes to get there. You dragged yourself up the stairs, and into the apartment, closing the door behind you.

Later that night, you researched Lin Manuel Miranda. You were surprised that he wrote other plays, and won various awards for things that he created. It was a shock that he was single, his good looks and achievements made you think he’d be married and have children already. As you stalked this man online, your eyes began to close, blinking slowly. Before you fell asleep, you clicked on a link. Your eyes drooped closed, your face falling on your keyboard.

The sun shined in your face, causing you to blink quickly, glaring through your semi open lids. You groaned, rolling over. You reached for your phone, feeling a plant tangled in your fingers instead. You blinked, pushing yourself off the grass.

Wait.

Grass.

You were sleeping outside.

On the grass.

You looked around you, realizing that you were in an open field. It was eerily quiet, not even the birds chirping or the scurrying of squirrels climbing trees. A tent a few hundred feet away caught your attention, so you decided to approach it. You were still dressed in your sweats and tank top, what you thought you wore to bed. Before you reached the tent, a man came out, dressed in what seemed like a colonial uniform from the 1800s. His back was to you, but you noticed that his brown hair was long, pulled back into a hair tie. For some reason, your stomach churned staring at the man.

Did you stumble across some revolutionary reenactment? Is that why the man looked threatening, like he would shoot you at first glance? You searched your mind for some reason as to why you were outside, but the last thing you remembered was sitting next to your laptop.

You went against every instinct that told you not to go to the man, pushing your feet forward. He stopped moving, and you hesitated. He held his musket tight in his hand, quickly turning around to face you. He pointed his gun at your chest, an angry look on his face. You raised your hands quickly, shaking.

His eyes met yours, and he lowered his gun, confused. You gasped at the face in front of you.

It was Lin Manuel Miranda. The famous guy you were researching last night.

“Miss, what are you doing out here?” He questioned, his hands still tight on the gun. You stumbled on your words, star-struck.

“Uh, I’m, um…” He put his gun in his holder on the side of him. His eyes were stuck on your body, the heat rising in his face. You wondered if he never saw a woman in a tank top before. “Excuse me, my eyes are up here.”

His eyes quickly made it back to your face, clearing his throat. “You did not answer my question, miss.” He replied, standing up straight.

“I’m sorry, but I have no clue why I’m out here. I woke up on this field. Maybe I sleep walk?” You said, lowering your arms. The leaves rustled on nearby trees, causing you to shiver, holding your arms tight against his chest. Lin realized how cold you were, and took off his overcoat, passing it to you. You thanked him, quickly throwing it on your body.

“Do you know where your home is? It must be close by.” You looked around, recognizing nothing in the vicinity. You turned back to Lin, and he had a small smile on his face.

Strange.

“Well I live in an apartment complex near 42nd street. I don’t remember seeing any open fields in the middle of the city.” You mumbled. He stared at you, a puzzled look on his face. He chuckled softly. “What?” You questioned.

“Are you okay, miss? I never heard of this forty-second street or an apartment complex? We’re in Virginia.” He stated, crossing his arms. “Were you sent by Laurens to play a joke on me? Wait, are you trying to seduce me?” He moved his hand back to the gun on his side.

This guy must be crazy. He lives in NYC, he grew up in Washington heights. For crying aloud, the Richard Rogers theatre is right in the heart of Manhattan. You glanced around him, noticing more tents around. Wait, there was more than just ten.

There were hundreds.

You stared at Lin.

His outfit seemed quite authentic, to the dirt under his nails to the blood-stained pants. You don’t recall seeing the pictures online having red marks on the pants. He looked young, too, maybe in his early twenties. Not the man you recall seeing on the internet that was in his late thirties. He was staring at you as well, still cautious.

“What’s your name?” You asked.

“Alexander Hamilton.” He said simply, with a small bit of pride in his voice. You still fought of the idea that this may not be the time you were supposed to be in.

“Do you know who Elizabeth Schuyler is?” He shook his head, his foot tapping against the ground.

“What is a television set? A laptop?” He frowned.

“Are you telling me about a new weapon the British created? Who are you, miss?” He took out his gun from the position on his hip. “Who sent you here? And I’m not going to ask again.” You realized what’s going on.

“Tell me the year.” You said, your eyes widening. He didn’t say anything, his mouth in a straight line. “Tell me the year.” You repeated sternly. He smirked at you, rolling his eyes.

“1776.” He said, and you dropped onto the ground. He jumped back, confused.

1776. The year, its 1776.

What the hell is going on here?

'Interview With BTS: ‘You Never Walk Alone’, Crossing Over to America and the A.R.M.Y. by POP CRUSH'

After thousands of votes in December, Wings was voted PopCrush’s Best Album of 2016, BTS won Best Group of 2016 and the A.R.M.Y. won Best Loyal Fanbase of 2016 in our Fan Choice Awards. Do you have a message to those voters?

We’d like to thank A.R.M.Ys around the world from bottom of our hearts. We couldn’t have done it without your love and support. We know it takes time and effort to vote, listen to the music and watch the videos and it means a lot to us. Thank you!

What inspired the concept of the You Never Walk Alone artwork? The “Spring Day” video is incredibly beautiful.

You Never Walk Alone is a side story or supplementary story to our previous album Wings, and we wanted to tell a different story that was not told in Wings. That is one of reasons why the BTS members look somewhat different, perhaps a little bit more casual and younger, in the YNWA artwork. The same idea goes for the “Spring Day” video. The song is based on memories with old friends who we don’t see anymore and we wanted to visualize the story in the video blended with additional metaphors.

K-pop crossovers are incredibly difficult to achieve in America, but you keep breaking music chart and YouTube records. There have been rumors about releasing in the US. Is that something we could ever see from BTS?

We’ve been trying to do what we do best as BTS since our debut in 2013, and it’s the strength behind our recent success in America, breaking music charts and YouTube records (not to mention the ultimate love from our fans). The team and producers we work with know us the best and always figure out the wisest ways to introduce new music. Thus we believe that whatever it may be, it will be a success in our own terms.

The language barrier hasn’t stopped your American fans from enjoying your music, but have you considered doing English version of big hits? Are there English versions of songs like “Blood, Sweat and Tears” we haven’t heard yet?

We truly believe that all our songs are “trans-national,” which means there’s no boundaries in terms of music genres or lyrics because we make music we like as a listener. We don’t have any plans to make English versions of big hits, but we’ll stay tuned and gear to the trendiest music there is.

Is there a difference between the crowds in South Korea and the crowds in America?

All A.R.M.Ys are passionate and enthusiastic! However, fans in America seem to be the most active when it comes to uploading “reaction videos” to YouTube. If you search “BTS reaction videos” on YouTube, there are hundreds of great videos of fans making interesting, emotional reactions to BTS music videos. Some of us enjoy watching them on the road.

What is the most exciting part of preparing for another comeback? Is it recording, rehearsing dances, performing on TV shows? And what is the thing that you least look forward to?

Actually, it is every part of what you’ve mentioned. For those who contribute to writing and producing songs such as Rap Monster, SUGA and j-hope, it also extends to early pre-production process. For all members, learning the new dance moves, recording and shooting the video are equally exciting and challenging. We truly look forward to every corner and every part of the comeback because we grow and become better people, as well as artists, day by day, year by year.

What are you most looking forward to seeing or doing while here in the US?

We had a really good time meeting our fans, going to Times Square and walking down NYC avenues. Not sure we’ll have time to do all that, but we definitely want to check out the best steakhouse in the city!

To say that BTS is popular is an understatement. What do you think it is about BTS that makes you so beloved worldwide?

We make our own music with the trendiest genres there are in the pop world and we try to tell our stories/thoughts in the songs. Fans emphasize with our songs because they go through similar phases in life. We also try to communicate with fans via social media as often as possible about our daily life so that fans feel attached to us. And frequent updates on YouTube with BTS original contents such as Bangtan Bomb and BTS Episodes help us keep trendy as well!

Valkyrie has the vapours

Sooo… I am on week 3 of being sick with bronchitis and/or walking pneumonia, so forgive me for my ramblings and for taking so long to post.  Here’s my report from the front lines.  (I’m without my laptop so this will be a challenge.)  You might want to grab a beverage because I’m going to put this all in one post.

THAT HORRIBLE FEELING WHEN YOU REALIZE YOU MIGHT NOT MAKE IT TO THE CON IN TIME:  I came down with a stomach bug on Wednesday night (on top of the bronchitis) and was too sick to fly on Thursday morning.  Though the airline was able to rebook me on an afternoon flight, delays meant I would miss my connection.  After an hour standing at the JFK ticket counter during which options slipped away, I was finally able to secure an alternative flight… but had to endure a coach window seat for 6 hours despite having paid for a first class seat.  Thank god for the copious amount of drugs in my system that I was able to remain calm and get a little nap before running through LAX, rebooking yet again when I discovered a better connecting flight, and finally arriving at SeaTac after 1:00 am - 12 hours after I was originally supposed to land. The silver lining was that I was too distracted by the drama to be nervous about what I would say to Cait and Sam.

WAIT, WE’RE QUEUING UP HOW EARLY?  Luckily @chrismosstree and @myguiltyolpleasure scoped out the situation on Thursday afternoon and figured out exactly when and where we needed to be.  I awoke around 5 am after a couple hours of sleep to bid them farewell as they headed for the convention center, taking advantage of their generous offer to hold a place for me in line. Despite being dizzy and queasy I made my way down the street to our “holding pen” outside the main hall to wait for the panel discussion with Sam and Cait.   We were able to meet up with the lovely @supertam87, @sileas84, and @side-eyeing-you and chatted with a lot of other fans while we waited… and waited… and waited.  Seriously, you guys, attending a comic con is all about standing around and monitoring your fluid intake to make sure you don’t have to go to the bathroom at the wrong time.  Luckily I was dehydrated from the decongestants so I didn’t have to worry too much.

OH, MY GOD, IT’S STARTING!  Being in line so early paid off as we got 5th row center seats in the auditorium.  The hall was huge and completely filled up in a matter of minutes.  I feel like you miss so much in the room because you’re trying to switch from watching them on stage, to seeing them blown up on the screens to the side of the stage, to snapping pics, to trying to anticipate whether they are about to do something cute so your camera is at the ready.  Initial impression was that the panel was merely okay, but I’m jaded by having attended the NYC Apple Store event last year where it was a much more intimate setting and they were less guarded.  I’ll have to watch the video to see what I missed because I’ve seen a lot of cute gifs on tumblr.

GOOD LORD, HAVE THESE PEOPLE NEVER MANAGED LINES BEFORE?  The convention organizers came across as very disorganized.  Rather than routing us toward the hall through a series of roped off rows like an airport security checkpoint, we were crammed together in a pen behind some gates like cattle in a feed yard about to go to slaughter.  That set the tone for the day as staff struggled to figure out what to do with us as we queued for photo ops and autograph sessions.  All sense of time was lost as we stood packed cheek to jowl in very stuffy conditions.  By the time we approached our solo pics with Sam I was a sweaty mess - some combination of nerves, the cramped quarters, and the Robitussin.

A TOTAL OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE:  I turned into a blithering idiot during the photo ops.  For those of you who haven’t done this before, the process is similar to school picture day but with more yelling.  There is a tiny mirror hanging outside this curtained off area.  I seriously thought I was going to hyperventilate as we got close to the front of the line.  You have only a second to realize you are a sweaty mess before you give your ticket to someone and are waved into the booth.  You see Sam smiling with a fan plastered to his side while a photographer screams, “READY!”  *click* “NEXT!”  Then you are thrust toward Sam and he says hello while clasping you tightly.  You are too tongue-tied to say anything and too blinded by his beauty to look him in the eye.  "READY!“ *click* "NEXT!”  It’s over.  You can’t believe it happened, but you assume it did. Emotions were running high and we skipped away, giggling uncontrollably.  Then got back in line for the joint photo op and the solo Cait session…. which took all afternoon.  Observations: I’m shorter than I thought I was after seeing myself next to them.  Sam’s jacket is unbelievably soft and I’m surprised I didn’t pet him (or maybe I did - who can remember).  He smells really good (not that @chrismosstree would know…).  He’s also thinner than I expected.  Not skinny, but not beefy like in S1.  (He’s the same height as my brother but seems so much taller.) Cait’s legs are ridiculously long and her waist is in line with my bust.  She glows. It was all a blur.  I pride myself on being unflapable, but I was - well - flapped.  I was shy and embarrassed and nervous and excited and couldn’t put a sentence together, all at the same time.

“THAT IS SO COOL!”  On to the autograph session and a two hour wait to deliver the Doll Frasers to Cait.  They had been packed in their little trunk and carried around all day while I mentally rehearsed what I would say.  A few people asked what was in the box (I carried it in a giant clear zip lock bag to guard again rain.) As I explained that our friend makes costumes for a set of Jamie and Claire dolls and poses them in scenes from the show, one woman asked if @outlanderedandoverhere had a booth at the con where she could buy her own set!  (There’s an idea for a revenue stream, Fiona…)  There were handlers taking each item to be autographed and passing them to Cait and Sam so that by the time you were in front of them the item was signed and you could be on your way.  I was a little worried that they might not allow gifts because I didn’t see anyone in front of me doing it and I had visions of carrying the trunk around for the next week only to have to ship it back to the U.K.  I knew I had to be quick and concise, so I removed the trunk from the bag and unlatched the lid.  I flipped it open and set the thr trunk down in front of Cait, telling her that we saw the Doll Fraser calendar on the wall in their makeup trailer and thought the cast and crew might like their own set of dolls to play with.  She said, “Yeah, yeah!” and lit up like a Christmas tree.  Seriously, smiling ear to ear and digging through the trunk.  I pointed out the charity t-shirts and she said, “That is so cool!”  She just could not stop staring at them while I babbled on about how the Doll Frasers have been adopted by our community.  Finally the handler tried to move on to the next fan and Cait sighed and reluctantly closed the trunk before tucking it under the table.  She even made a little sqeeing noise.  Sam was sitting too far away and occupied with signing to notice, and they were running waaay behind, so there was noopportunity to alert him to the transaction. However, the Doll Frasers were clearly a hit.  No telling where they go from here (I assume all gifts were sent to production offices in Scotland) but hopefully we’ll see or hear about them again at some point.

After that we were FINALLY finished for the day and headed out to meet up with other fans for dinner.  And, honestly, that was the best part of this event: meeting up with so many of you.  I have laughed (and coughed) so much in the last week that my abs might actually form a “six pack.” 😂  And I love how willing everyone is to share their experience and that so many are interested.

Some of you have asked about the cock blocking story.  It’s not that interesting and requires props and facial expressions to convey properly so it’s best done in person.  For some reason (ahem, @c2bend and @rainmanjdog) it’s taken on a life of its own.  Truly, I’m not trying to be a tease so I’ll see if I can figure out a way to tell it with @chrismosstree’s help.  We’re off to dinner now but will be back online later.

tl:dr  Overall impressions are that Sam seemed very tired and a little guarded, Cait could not have been more lovely nor down to earth, and that we are an amazing, funny, smart, and lovely group of women.  Mwah!

Something no one asked for, I found and price all of America’s homes

Since we can used common denomination and figure out he lives in New York, New York except for his first home because there’s no mansions in NYC.

The first house it shows us he lives in is a gated mansion. Since there’s no mansions in NYC I went ahead and assumed this was Washington DC. I had to find a mansion with a gate and a big back yard since those are 2 things we know he has here. The closest looking one I could find came to 8 million.

This one was a lot easier. This is a Brownstone Style house that is in walking distance from to the city. This was really easy because I knew exactly what I was looking for I found almost the exact house. Because these are like my dream homes.

A house like this usually could be like 2-3 million. If it’s away from stuff. But since it’s that close to the city. This one within walking distance of central park is 11.5 million

Lastly we have his penthouse. If you don’t know much about NYC, then I’ll let you know you you can rent one for 14k a night if that tells you anything. Where Alfred lives it is very high up and has a view of the heart of the City. Also it’s huge and has multiply floors. and has a lot of windows and open rooms with a spiral staircase. so I found a pent house that was modern style with a city view. It went for 57.4 million.

Beautiful Speak Now Album Things:
  • TAYLOR WROTE IT COMPLETELY BY HERSELF AT AGES 18-20!!!! AND IT WON 2 GRAMMYS!!!
  • Like every fuckin’ bridge on this album makes you want to cry
  • And all the lyrics are fucking awesome. It’s a lyric-driven album
  • “Every time I look at you, it’s like the first time”
  • “You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter”
  • Opening “Mine” with “uh-oh” and closing it with the background vocals echoing “I can see it now” to show the emotional journey of the character as she believes in love again over the course of the song
  • “BRACED MYSELF FOR THE GOODBYE / ‘CAUSE THAT’S ALL I’VE EVER KNOWN / AND YOU TOOK ME BY SURPRISE / YOU SAID, ‘I’LL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE’”
  • The entirety of “Mine,” the best love story ever told
  • The fact that Taylor resurrected Sparks Fly from the dead and put it on her 3rd album because we asked her to
  • The fact that Taylor also rewrote Sparks Fly and took out the lyrics that made it more sexual and about performing in a bar
  • The fact that the original lyric (now displayed in The Taylor Swift Experience) was “brown eyes” and she made it “green eyes”
  • How she describes the love interest as “a full-on rainstorm” and later says “meet me in the pouring rain”
  • The juxtapositions of rain and fire and then darkness and light in Sparks Fly
  • BACK TO DECEMBER

  • The giggle in the bridge
  • DEAR JOHN. THE ENTIRE SONG. ALL THE LYRICS.
  • How Dear John calls out emotional abuse by a much older man onto a 19 year old without any apologies or sympathizing with the man but also has pieces where the victim blames themselves and calls out a pattern of abuse of other women
  • But it ends with the victim retaining their self worth and escaping and it’s amazing
  • “the girl in the dress cried the whole way home” –> have you ever seen such a beautiful conveying of a young girl’s loss of emotional innocence

  • “A simple complication, miscommunications lead to fallout”
  • “I’D TELL YOU I MISS YOU BUT I DON’T KNOW HOW / I’VE NEVER HEARD SILENCE QUITE THIS LOUD”

Broadway Star Telly Leung Talks about his Upcoming NYC Cabaret Show

April 18, 2017

COTA: “Glee” was such a huge phenomenon. How did that show and its success affect you personally and professionally?

TL: I was on the second season. It was a big hit the first season—a water cooler show where people talked about it the next day. I thought, “Oh wow, what a cool job. I’m going to fly out to L.A. and do a couple of episodes. None of us, Darren (Criss) included, had an idea about the social effect that it was going to have. At that time teens were dealing with things like the Trevor Project and teen suicide and bullying. Because of the LGBT movement, kids were finding the courage to come out in high school, but they did not know how to deal with the ridicule and bullying they encountered. “Glee’s” creators of course wanted to create a hit show, but they also realized they had the eyes and ears of a captive audience—not just in America, but all over the world. They used the storyline between Darren Criss’s and Chris Colfer’s characters to empower kids who were being bullied, who were just coming out, and showed them a very healthy, loving relationship between two teenage boys on prime time television. And that was huge. The show said, “You’re not alone. You may feel really alone, because you don’t belong to any clique, but there is a clique for those people who don’t belong to any clique. And the common thing that will bond you all together is making music.”

Hi Ladies!!!!! So I have not been active as of late. I have been working, going to school, and perfecting my scammer heaux status!

I have acquired a new official SD and ya girl is so pleased. He doesn’t ever tell me no. We have had 2 platonic dates and he’s spent over $4k between the two dates. He has held up his end of things without a fuss and he’s hilarious. Not great to look at, but I really enjoy his humor.

We had conversations of me opening a boutique soon, a brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and a teacup yorkie. I hit him with my allowance and he accepted. He also has no issues taking out credit cards for me. Pretty soon he will have credit cards for every major store just for me 😊😊

Moral: Stay positive. Your ideal SD is out there. What you think about you bring about.

Happy scamming and as always I’m here for advice and moral support. May the sugar scales be in your favor! XO Aliyah

“We haven’t talked for months, Buck. I’m as worried as you.” Her head hit the frame of the door, eyes closed as her soft voice tried to persuade him. He tilted his head, confused, as if she hadn’t been telling him the same thing over and over since he knocked on her door.

“What do you mean?”

“It’s been awhile since we last hanged out. You can ask Nat, though. I think she’s still in touch with (y/n).” Bucky swallowed, immediately discarding that option. By how she knocked the shit out of him that night, it wasn’t hard to predict that she wasn’t going to say a word about it.

“Is she being picky about choosing friends?” He asked, trying to joke a little bit, to lighten the situation. “Money has changed her, huh?” Her expression hardened, tensing up her whole body as she finally grabbed the doorknob.

“Just go look for her somewhere else, Buck.” Bucky noticed her tired and evading demeanour, and he somehow figured out that this issue was hurting her. At the same time in his mind multiple alarms started to sound, warning him that something was off with you, even though he haven’t had the opportunity of seeing you yet.

Hunk and Pidge run a mechanics/devices blog together. Hunk makes things and reviews things such as the newest kinds of drones, how to fix your car for dummies, and how to build your own 30-speed remote control car

Shiro and Allura are both beauty bloggers that everyone high-key ships despite them never meeting. She lives over in LA with her father and he lives in NYC. He mostly reviews different types of makeup and which is the best and which is the best but is still easy on the wallet. Allura has tutorials on how the different ways to do your makeup depending if you want a ‘20s look, natural look, or you’re about to go out and need your makeup to last for 10+ hours

Lance runs kind of a miscellaneous blog. His ranges from fashion,  to how his day went, to what it’s like to have ADHD, to how to survive college, to venting. He’s got different fans for each different kind of post, so he tries to keep each pretty regular, but it’s not always easy. He tends to vague blog quite a bit about people in his life but usually deletes them a day later.

Keith runs a workout and fighting blog. He specializes in Krav Maga and knives, with the occasional sword here and there. He gives recommendations, posts videos of his workouts, and step by step explains each move in Krav Maga and how to effectively put everything together in case you ever need to fight someone off

Shiro and Allura get together just to quell the shippers for a bit but end up developing feelings for each other. While Shiro’s staying with her, they go on a couple dates, and they have the time of their lives. They don’t tell anyone though as they still aren’t how long it’ll last especially with them living so far away from each other.

Lance and Keith always tend to bag on each other. Keith likes to say in his fighting tutorials how if he ever sees Lance in real life, this is what he’ll do. It was all in good fun at first, but then Lance started taking it a bit too far. Lance vagues about Keith just about every time Keith posts something to his blog. After a while, Keith calls it quits and PMs Lance, asking if they can meet up in person.

Coran is the eccentric guy who brings them all together. He found each of them before they got their huge following and recommended their blogs to each other. Keith and Shiro and Lance, Hunk, and Pidge are the closest, but they all still talk on a pretty regular basis

Reader’s POV

“Yeah, I miss you too.” I smiled like an idiot.

“Princess, we’re about to go over the debriefing for the new case.” Morgan leaned against the small wall separating my desk space from the others. I placed my hand over my phone pulling it away from my ear.

“Okay give me a sec.” I told him before putting the phone to my ear as Lin began talking. “No Lin, it was just Morgan relax. I have to go.

“Stay safe please.” He begged me. I smiled softly. “I love you Y/N.”

“I love you too and I’ll be fine. Okay? Yeah. Bye.” Ending the call I put my cell in the front pocket of my blazer. Pushing myself out of my chair I made my way to the debriefing room where my team was.

I made my way into the room and found a seat besides Spencer. On the screen showed shots from the crime scene.

“Last night a body was found in a dumpster in an abandoned alleyway. The victim was identified as Anthony Gonzalez.” JJ pressed a button showing the next photo a family picture of Anthony and his family.

“Cause of death?” Morgan asks, leaning back in his chair.

“He was stabbed to death, over 20 times, but the victim showed signs of strangulation as well.

“Wouldn’t that make the killing personal to the unsub?” I asked as I analyzed the photos of the crime scene.

“It’s not definite if it was personal to the unsub but to the person the message was aimed at.” She stated.

“There’s a message?” JJ nodded before clicking to the next slide.

“The stabbing and the strangulation, its most probable to say that the unsub did it out of anger. You see with how tight the neck was squeezed it seems to be close to the point of fracture, the unsub wanted to be up close and personal, wanting to feel the victim struggling wanting to be in control to showing dominance and the stabbing to the chest, very close to the heart it leaves us to believe for him it’s a sign to his own broken heart because look at the message.” Reed rambled on pointing the the next picture with words painted in blood on the brick wall.

‘You broke my heart so I’ll break yours.’” Emily read aloud.

“So that leaves us that the unsub is a male in his mid 20’s to early, to late 30’s.” JJ concluded.

“Everyone get what you need and meet at the jet in 30.” Hotchner dismissed us. I stood up from my seat and walked out with the team. I pulled out my phone sending a quick text to Lin.

“So how are you and Lin?” Derek casually asks as he leans against your chair as you get what you need.

“Everything is great.” You smiled towards him. “And I feel kind of jittery right now.” I told him truthfully as I slung my bag over my shoulder. He looked at me confused before arching his left brow.

“Why?” I smiled slightly.

“Because this case is in NYC where Lin lives and I haven’t seen him in a few months….I miss him and when we’re there if we even have the time during or after the case I want to go see him.” I explained to him. He nodded in understanding.

“Yeah I get that.” I raised and eyebrow at him, looking at him in disbelief.

“You sure about that Mr. Playboy?” I said teasingly, walking past Derek as he mockingly laughed. I grinned, walking up the few stairs, through the glass doors and to the elevator.

-

“There’s been another murder.” JJ told the team, she made her way down into a seat besides me.

“Was there another message?” I asked as she opened her laptop.

“Yes, the NYPD sent me these.” She showed the team the pictures. “Luis Montoya.” A picture showed the body.

“Same memo, strangulation and what? 20 stab wounds?” JJ nodded. Looking at the man I felt a queasy. It’s not because of the body, I’ve seen plenty of crime scenes and photos but it looks like there’s a type the unsub goes for. Black hair, brown eyes, goatee, latino.

“It seems to be this guy is going after Mexicans, that’s the only connection I see.” Derek commented.

“No, it’s more than that, I’ll call Garcia and ask her if the two victims has any connections other then their ethnicity.” Reed stated, pulling out his phone.

“This is the ever so wonderful Penelope Garcia how can I be of assistance?” I cracked a smile.

“Hey baby girl we need you to work your magic and find a connection between the two victims.”

“Wait two? I thought there was only one victim.” I could hear her tapping away at her computer, probably looking up the recent murder. “Luis Montoya.” She then said. “Age 35, about 5′9, no children and no family.” She stated.

“Yeah, that’s the one.”

“I will see what I can find.”

“Thanks Garcia.” Hotch says before Reed hangs up the phone.

“What was the message?” I asked. JJ clicked something and another image came up.

‘Why him?’ It read in the victim’s blood.

“He’s definitely doing this out of rage and heartbreak, hell even jealousy from the looks of it.” I say, leaning back in my seat.

“When we land, Reed, JJ you’ll be coming with me to the NYPD. Morgan I want you and Prentiss at the first crime scene. And Rossi you take Y/N to the more recent one see what else you can find.”

-

“You’re awfully quiet.” Rossi commented as we rode in the black SUV on our way to the most recent crime scene. I brushed a strand hair out of my face.

“This case worries me.” He glanced at me before looking back at the busy streets of New York.

“Why? We’ve dealt with worse unsubs then this.”

“I know that!” I growled in frustration. Lifting my hands I raked them through my hair. “It’s just the unsub’s victim type…he’s going after men with some sort of latino, Latin American descent, and what if Lin becomes the next victim? He fits the bill so far. And it can’t be a coincidence-” I was cut off when I heard Lin’s all too familiar voice rapping. “There’s a reason why I keep my phone on vibrate.” I mumbled to myself as Rossi chuckled.

“Lin hey is everything all right?” I could hear Chris talking in the background.

“Are you here in New York?” Was what he asked me. I could hear the excitement in his voice. He was such a dork but he’s my dork.

“Yes I am, for work. I’m heading to one of the crime scene’s now.”

“Well I was wondering whenever you’re not super busy being a sexy badass that we can see each other? I don’t care where or when I just have to see you.” Looking out the window, my eyes narrowed at the light in my eyes.

“Yeah, I know. I’ll see what I can do but I promise you that I’ll see you before I leave. Okay?” I asked. Lin sighed on the other line but it wasn’t an irritated one it was a sigh in content kind of way.

“Okay. Stay safe.” I smiled.

“Always am. I love you.”

“I love you too princessa.” A blush crept up my face.

“Bye.”

“Bye.” He said in his adorable dorky way before hanging up.

“I’m sure Lin will be fine. There’s thousand’s of people in the city, the chance of him being the unsub’s next victim is very slim.” Rossi told me as he parked by the scene where the second murder took place.”

“Thank you Rossi.” I told him gratefully. He smiled as we got out of the car.

-

It’s been a long day. From what we learned today the connection made between the victims were their looks, their ethnicity being Puerto Rican, age and height and that they’re both single but the funny think is they both had a connection to some kind of art.

I opened the door to my hotel, ready the crash at any second. Dropping my bag at the foot of the bed I kicked my shoes off, shrugging my blazer off I through it on the table nearby and crawled on top of the bed. My eyes closed, I felt myself being lulled into a deep sleep.

“What the heck I gotta doooo for you to answer meee.” Lin’s voice attempt to sing his song ‘What the heck I gotta do’ with his own twist, blared from across the room on the table. I groan into my pillow making no move to move from my spot. It was so comfortable. The singing stopped before it started back up again. Cursing under my breath I trudged my way out of the comfort of the hotel bed and dug my phone out of my blazer pocket sliding the green button on the screen to the side.

“What is it Lin?” My voice sounded groggy as if I was asleep, I wish.

“Y/N.” I perked up when I noticed how nervous his voice sounded.

“Lin what’s wrong?” I ask him.

“I got back from walking Tobillo and I found a package in front of my door and when I opened it…” He trailed off.

“Lin what was in it?”

“It was pictures of me. And not the pictures you would have someone take of you like this guys whoever he was, was like stalking me and he left a note.” His voice was higher.

“What did it say?” I asked.

“You took her away.” I heard him gag. “He also left a photo of someone’s body.” His voice sounded strained. “Oh god how can anyone do this to someone.” My eyes widened in horror. Ripping my phone away from my ear I sent two photos of the victims of when they were alive to Lin before pressing the phone to my ear again.

“Lin listen to me carefully I sent you two pictures can you tell me if it was either of those men?”

“It was the second one.” He told me.

“Oh my god.” I felt my stomach drop. “Lin get inside lock all the doors and windows.” I told him as I ran out of my room and to Hotch’s.

I banged my fist against the door until he answered it.

“What is it?” At this time the rest of the team were out of their rooms lookin gat us.

“We have a problem.”

You were walking down the street, one hand had your cellphone planted firmly to your ear, the other was rummaging in your purse, all while simultaneously holding your coffee in the crook of your elbow.

Your day had not started at all like you had planned. You had woken up late, and it was all downhill from there.

“Fuck” you swore under her breath, not even remembering what you had needed from your purse in the first place.

“Y/N?” the person on the other end questioned.

“Oh, no, Ms. Williams that was not directed towards you.” you said, not even clarifying any further what was happening.

“Honey, for the last time, just call me Clara. I’m going to let you go so you can get to work. Again, today is not a problem at all.” Clara said before hanging up the phone.

You hung up the phone and chucked it into your purse.

You waited at the empty cross walk for traffic to pass through before you crossed the street. You were still getting used to not needing to follow crosswalks lights. The rural Midwest was a far cry from NYC, your hometown.

You were still musing about the differences you were adjusting to when someone slammed into you from the front, consequently spilling hot coffee all down the front of your white dress shirt.

You let out a small cry of pain.

Could this day possibly get any fucking worse you thought to yourself.

You got into your purse and got out wipes, trying to soak up what coffee you could.

From beside you, you could hear the quiet voices of whoever had slammed into you. You didn’t pay them any attention. You were irrationally angry and didn’t want to ruin someone else’s day because of your nasty attitude.

“Um, excuse me, Miss?” you heard from beside you. You halted in your movements, recognizing the voice had a very heavy accent and spoke in semi broken English.

You finished wiping off what you could of your shirt and discarded the damp wipes back into your purse. You took a deep breath and looked up at the source of the voice.

Anything you might have said, instantly died in your throat.

“Are you..okay?” The voice asked after a long moment of silence.

“But…you’re…why…here?” you said, forgetting how to speak in full sentences.

“You hurt?” A different voice asked from the other side.

You turned your head and let out an involuntary squeal of excitement.

“Yoongi!” you said, finally finding your voice.

The owner of the second voice gave you a shy smile, eyes going wide.

“Hello.” he said back, nodding his head towards you.

“Namjoon, Taehyung.”

The only thing registering in your brain was three out of the seven members of your favorite group were standing in front of you looking rather sheepish.

“You must be a fan?” Namjoon asked you.

“Yes!” you said, too loudly.

Taehyung clapped loudly, drawing your attention to him.

“ARMY!” he yelled towards you, making you smile.

“We want to apologize for ruining your shirt. These two were being very impolite and pushing each other around. They, nor I, saw you standing here. We are so very sorry.” Namjoon said, bowing slightly in apology.

It was then that you realized that you had indeed spilled coffee on your white dress shirt. You blushed profusely and buttoned your suit jacket over the ruined shirt.

“It’s alright.” you heard yourself saying, even though clearly it wasn’t. Now you were even more late than you had said you’d be.

“It is not alright. Guys, you need to apologize to…” Namjoon said, inviting you to say your name.

“Y/N.” she replied.

“We apologize Y/N. We were being very rude by hitting into you. We are on a sort of vacation and were enjoying how quiet things are here.” Tae said, extending his hand to you.

“Thank you for the apology, I appreciate it.” you said, surprised you could string together so many words in one sentence while shaking his hand.

“I hate to ask this, since you are on vacation, but could I get an autograph?” you asked, hating to be rude while they were trying to enjoy themselves.

“Yes!” Tae said excitedly.

“That would not be a problem at all.” Namjoon said, taking the pad of paper you had extended to him.

“To you?” He asked, clarifying that it was for you.

“Could you make it out to Lily?” you asked, thinking of how excited she would be to have the autographs.

“That is an usual nickname for Y/N” Namjoon said, writing.

“Oh, it’s not for me. It’s for my daughter.” you said, smiling fondly at the mention of her.

“You have daughter?!” Tae asked, sounding surprised. “You so young!” he continued.

“Taehyung, it is improper to make such statements to a young woman.” Namjoon said, berating his friend.

Taehyung bowed his head, but not before you saw the flash of shame that had passed his face.

You was sure if you hadn’t have controlled it quickly, your face would have held almost the same look of shame as Tae’s. You weren’t ashamed of her daughter, just how her daughter came to be.

“You’re correct, though, I am young. Actually Taehyung, we are the same age, 21.” you said, offering him a kind smile.

Turning to Yoongi, who had been quiet through this whole exchange, you continued speaking.

“She’s almost five and I think she’s your biggest fan! She sings as many of the lyrics as she can understand and mumbles through what Korean she doesn’t. She is constantly trying to emulate your dances, asking me to practice with her for hours a week.”

“She sounds sweet.” Yoongi said, smiling at you.

Never in a million years did you think that you would be standing in front of some of the people you respected most in the world. BTS always gave their all to their fans, and never seemed to complain about it. At least, not to the public. They all seemed to genuinely enjoy their lives and how they were progressing as a group.

Taehyung had just handed the notepad to Yoongi when your phone rang from the depths of your purse.

Realizing where you were, and where you were supposed to be, you hurriedly fished the phone out and answered it.

“Hello?”

“Y/N, you’re now half an hour late. This looks really bad for you. If you can’t get here in the next ten minutes, the investors are going to leave.” your lawyer said from the other end.

“Mr. Johnson, I can’t get there in that short of time. Is there anything you can do?” you asked, desperate for the investors not to leave.

“I’m sorry Y/N. Once you find new investors, contact me and we’ll try again.” He said, before hanging up the phone.

Tears sprang to your eyes involuntarily. You had waited for this opportunity for two months. You worked hard on finding investors, making charts, doing projections on growth, everything she needed to get help with you drowning business.

You had not only moved yourself and your daughter here from NYC, but you moved your business here as well. You had inherited it from a family member and didn’t want to lose it now.

You were pulled from your sullen thoughts from a worried looking Yoongi.

“Are you okay?” He asked you.

“Yes, I am. Thank you.” you replied, trying to keep your voice from cracking. You just needed to pull it together until you got home, and then you could fall apart.

“Thank you so much for signing this for Lily. She’s absolutely going to love it. And hey, maybe we’ll run into each other again before you leave.” You put your hand in your purse and pulled out your wallet.

You pulled out a small stack of business cards and handed a few to each of them.

“Feel free to stop in and see us sometime. Lily and I are always there, especially summer having just started and she’s not in school. Again, it was nice to meet you all.” you said, and quickly spun on your heels to go the other way. You could feel herself falling apart, and you refused to do it in front of anyone.

Namjoon, Yoongi, and Taehyung were all standing on the sidewalk, extremely confused at the turn of events.

“Do you think we caused that?” Tae asked, feeling sorry for bumping into the woman, and possibly offending her as Namjoon had pointed out.

“I don’t know. But we should definitely go see her again while we’re here. I’m curious.” Namjoon said, looking at her business card.

July 30, 2017

I sighed. My flight just got delayed for another two hours. This was the second time it happened, and I was getting pretty tired of sitting next to the outlet. There are only so many places you could charge your phone in the Atlanta airport.

Today was the day my new life was supposed to start. I was going to be attending New York University in August, and I was supposed to move into my dorm today so I could have time to explore the city before school officially started. I would be studying journalism for the next four years of my life, and I was unbelievably excited to finally live in the city of my dreams and start fresh.
