It’s been a while since I was blown away by inspiration…I mean ofcourse I’ve seen a pretty picture thought “ohh, yeah, cool” and moved passed it. But I’m talking double take, smile out loud (because it’s that big), start trying to collect every piece of information you can possibly find out about the artist, picture, person, object and just immerse yourself in the story of whatever is going on in that instance of pure unrelenting inspirational joy. Then came the Sunday Style section and I was SO excited to see my beloved felt being featured.
In this past Sunday’s Style Section in the New York Times, Bill Cunningham features Rei Kawakubo - founder and designer of Comme des Garçons - collection from F/W 2012 as it is now being donned by some of the world’s luckiest, quirkiest and most fashionable.
I love the shapes, colors, MATERIAL and Lynn Yaeger on the bottom left being as strange and wonderful as always - she’s one of my fashion, life, people generally kicking butt heroes.
