1D as people I’ve sold tickets to at my movie theater job
Harry Styles: good looking guy who comes up with his equally good looking girlfriend. stares up at the movie times and cant decide what they want. without taking his eyes off the board, he grabs his girlfriend’s hand and makes her start rubbing his belly. his girlfriend also just continues to stare up at the board, unfazed, as if it’s totally normal in their relationship to rub his belly. they buy tickets to a rom com.
Liam Payne: tries to make me, the cashier, laugh at his bad jokes. comes up with his wife. you can tell they have kids, but they must be with grandma and grandpa that night— theyre having a date night. so pure. when he asks for two tickets he says “one adult, one child..” and winks and nudges his wife who also laughs. when he looks at me, I give him a pity laugh (after already having heard that joke 3 times that night, alone) when I tell him how much it is, he grabs his chest and says “HOOO you are an expensive date!” and giggles with his wife, walking into the latest superhero movie.
Louis Tomlinson: the 13 year old who goes to the movie theater on Friday night with the other middle schoolers, stands outside and shares a single drink between three guys and one girl. comes up to my window and looks at my name tag and calls me, a 24 year old stranger, by my first name. turns around to giggle with his little friends at the joke. buys a ticket to Florence Foster Jenkins, but goes into Sausage Party. gets kicked out.
Niall Horan: teenager who cockily tries to climb over the ropes in the queuing area. his foot catches and he falls, landing hard on his shoulder and right side of his face, and to add insult to injury, his pants even slide down. he lays on the ground for a bit…just….letting it happen because it might as well. his friends laugh at him. he stands and pulls up his pants looking around to see everyone else staring too. he laughs the loudest walking up to the window in order to drown out the screaming i can see in his eyes.
Now that I’ve finally absorbed that incredible season finale, I wanted to get my thoughts together about where I think Blarke will have ended up.
We all saw it coming that she was going to be left on earth (mainly due to that complete giveaway of a promo), but actually seeing it on screen was so heartbreaking and exciting at the same time. Weirdly enough, I actually spoke to my friend about Clarke becoming some kind of motherly figure in S5 (because how amazing would it have been if Bellarke had slept together before praimfaya and Clarke had found out she was pregnant???), but I never saw that genius nightblood idea coming.
I get the feeling from the way that Clarke spoke at the end of the finale that she is more settled with herself. Over the seasons, we have seen her struggle with this inner battle she’s been having- all the conversations with Bellamy and Abby about being a “good” person etc.- and I feel like the years alone on earth with this mysterious nightblood girl will have caused Clarke to find peace within herself, and understand who she is as a person- and I expect taking on a motherly/sisterly role has really contributed to that. But, from the small snippet of her life on earth that we’ve seen, I am certain she still holds feelings for Bellamy- that much is clear from the goodbye conversation they shared- and the way she tries to talk to him everyday- I mean, they’re really laying Clarke’s feelings on thick.
For starters, I 100% think Bellamy will have moved on from losing Clarke. Unfortunately. It’s not that he won’t miss her- of course he will- but Bellamy’s the type of person who relies on others to help heal him, which we have seen countless times over the seasons. Usually this person is Clarke, but I feel he will have breached out to someone else, seeing as he thinks she’s dead. If they hadn’t made it distinctly clear that he thought she was dead, and had left him with some hope that she might have survived, I don’t think he would have been able to move past that, but the way they made it distinctly clear he thinks she’s gone, suggests some kind of new romantic involvement. Now, the question is- will it be Echo or Raven? I personally really dislike Echo’s character, but out of the two I would prefer it to be Echo who Bellamy is involved with.
I hate the 100 writers for damn well purposely not showing us any Bellamy Blake in the 6 year time jump. I hate that now I’m certain Clarke Griffin’s feelings for Bellamy have been realized. I hate that Bellamy thinks she’s been dead for six years. I hate that we have to assume that he moved on. I hate that we know Clarke never did….
Arthur stood by Merlin’s side in silence, staring out the glass cabin, as the white metal skeleton of the monstrous wheel lifted them over London.
“Your kingdom, sire,” Merlin said, looking over at him with all the devotion Arthur remembered from so long ago. His words were soft and reverent, and yet they held echoes of ancient power, as if by speaking them he were gifting his king the modern city that stretched to the distant horizon.
Arthur turned to face him, shoulders pushed back, meeting Merlin’s determined gaze with one of our own. “Our kingdom,” he corrected.
Merlin smiled in response, soft and sad and full of adoration. “I don’t want the kingdom,” he said. “I only want its king.”
Arthur felt his breath catch, his throat going tight, overwhelmed again by all that Merlin was, and all that he’d done for him, both in their lives in Camelot as well as in that horrible separation that had followed.
Lifetimes, Arthur thought. Lifetimes he waited for me. And alone. Oh god, so alone-
Arthur stepped forward, cupping the sides of Merlin’s face in his hands, to gently kiss him, over and over, small soft things that told the miraculous man at his side again and again that of course Arthur was his, just as he was Arthur’s, just as it was always meant to be.
