It’s been a while since I’ve drawn on my tablet. And it’s been even longer since I’ve colored digitally. I know I can do better than this, so my goal will be to get back into digital drawing by the end of the month.
So day one is the witch/wizard costume. Here’s an OC I created for a project: Anju the dimension-hopping, crystal-stealing, witch of chaos!
Last year I made this and these because I’m a CG student with a terrible sense of humor. Now I have some for ZBrush, SoftImage, Houdini, NUKE, and Macs. Clearly my own work and lack of a social life are getting to me.
Days 20-25: Object head, Fairytale, Knight, Fairy, Slasher, Mermaid
I am getting caught up. Slowly.
Fun fact: The slasher costume originated from a presentation I did for speech class- the teacher wanted us to find a creative way to grab the audience’s attention so I showed up to class as a bloody butcher. My presentation was on using writing as form of stress relief… by writing about terrible people and brutally killing them.
This one will need some explaining. In Irish mythology, there is a headless rider known as the Dullahan. When they stop riding, they call out the name of a person who is about to die. I liked the idea, so here’s my version: riding my Mustang and looking cool in leather. It’s exactly who I am in real life, except headless and smoking for aesthetic reasons.
Drawing cars is hard for me. Straight lines hurt my soul.
