I’m on a shoot all this week and have basically zero internet access. Met these sweet dogs in Jabiru yesterday. Later this week I’ll be shooting at Katherine Outback Experience which has a display of working dogs so I’m pretty excited about it.
On day two of the tour we left our accommodation bright and early and drove to Nourlangie Rock in Kakadu National Park. Here we walked around the rock, admiring the Aboriginal art that lines its base. The art is located in various “shelters,” the most famous being the Ambangbang Shelter (where the pictures above were taken). The art deals with Aboriginal mythology, and it was really interesting to read and hear the stories that relate to the art. The rock with all of the holes is what the Aboriginal people would have used for food and cooking. On our walk back we noticed signs stating that a large buffalo had been spotted in the area - I’m glad we didn’t run into that guy!
