My notifications told me that you had a text post that started with "PIGEONS MAKE ME REALLY HAPPY" and I was like wat, so I clicked on it expecting there to be more. But no. Just that sentence. I love you.
Hi Moga. I have a question about people posting art. Someone posted a click-through link to a Facebook page that posted my art and the post has over 2,000 notes, but my own art tumblr and art Facebook page has barely any traffic. I know it's way too late to ask the person who posted it to write a source in the description, but what can I do? I keep thinking that maybe if those 2000 people saw where to buy prints, maybe they would buy some. Sorry to bother, thanks for reading.
I AM SO ANGRY FOR YOU!! I FUCKING HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS TO ME >:(
Honestly, there isn’t much you can do about it now. However, look at this in a positive light:
-You’re art is good enough for people to want to be dicks and steal it (this doesn’t condone their actions, but you can take pride in the fact that you’ve reached a point in your artistic career where this is an issue)
-Take this as a lesson to write you’re URL on your piece. You’ll notice all of my comics have my name plastered all over them, and my tumblr URL at the end. It’s a shame, but with the internet these days, it’s something an artist must do.
-If a fellow tumblr ever steals your work, you can file a DMCA copyright Notificaiton. Not only will it remove the post of your copyrighted work, but all the reblogs as well.
I’m so so sorry this happened to you! This is a blunt example of disrespect of artists. Stay strong and have a wonderful day <3
