Hey guys! Here’s another oneshot for you. I wrote this when I was really mad one day and it actually made me feel a whole lot better! Lesson learned, when upset write some Bucky fluff. I hope you guys enjoy, I really like this one. Happy Saturday!
Warnings: angry reader that turns into crazy fluff
Note: The reader has powers similar to Wanda’s, kind of a telekenesis that you’re still learning to use.
Steve, Bucky and Sam were in the corner of the gym, filling their water bottles, their foreheads dripping with sweat and their tinted cheeks warm from their workout. Their chests were still rising and falling more rapidly than usual as they joked with each other and set up plans for later that night.
The endorphins running through their systems had them on cloud nine. You, however, felt the opposite.
You hadn’t even bothered to change your clothes before blasting into the gym and hoofing it over to the punching bags that were hanging from the ceiling, waiting for you to take everything out on them.
But Steve got in your way.
“Hey, (Y/N), what-”
“I’ll fix it Steve!” you snapped, making him back off.
He crawled back over to the corner and took his water bottle from Bucky who had been holding it for him. You didn’t miss Bucky’s wide, slightly fearful eyes.
You pulled your sweatshirt over your head and threw it on the floor, your agitated powers making slide further away than you planned. Left in your leggings and thin tank top, you started throwing punches into the bag in front of you, making it sway back and forth. Even it was afraid of you today.
“She did that? Tony’s pissed about that.” Sam whispered.
“Her powers are linked to her emotions. She’s… having a rough day.” Steve tried to defend you.
“Seems like more than just a rough day. Did you see what she did to that-” Steve stuck out his hand to quiet him, but you had heard Sam’s mumbling.
“You’re next if you don’t shut up, Sam.”
Sam didn’t dare stick around to see if you’d keep your word. But Steve couldn’t leave you like this.
“Hey, why don’t you tell me what’s going on, try to calm down.”
“This is calming me down,” you sneered with a hard punch.
Bucky’s eyes were snapping from you to Steve like he was watching a ping pong match.
“Come on, (Y/N),” Steve continued.
“I’m fine, leave me alone.”
“At least wrap your hands.”
“I don’t need it, Steve.”
“Yes you do, here.”
“I don’t need it!” You wailed and sent the punch bag across the room, ripping it off its hook with your powers.
Steve stared at the bag in complete astonishment. He’d never seen you use your powers for anything destructive, and he had definitely never seen you yell at anyone. Exasperated, he finally gave up. He stalked out of the room with his hands surrendered in the air with a sharp “Fine.”
You moved to another bag a few feet away and started hitting into it, ignoring the sting on your knuckles from the harsh fabric. You were so engrossed in your abuse, you didn’t notice Bucky quietly standing next to you. After a particularly hard hit, you returned your wrists to your home position in front of your face. You jumped in surprise when he grabbed your right forearm and started folding the black, cotton wrap around your hands.
“By the time you’re done, your knuckles will be raw,” he mumbled.
Within seconds, he was done and walking out of the gym. A pang of guilt ravaged your gut, you had never snapped at the guys before. You decided to ignore your sinking stomach and continue taking your anger out on the bag, you would apologize later.
You carried on until you could hardly lift your arms, thankful for the wrap around your knuckles. You couldn’t imagine what your hands would look like if Bucky hadn’t helped you.
The thought made you smile. You and Bucky weren’t very close, but you still work together, counted on each other out in the field. Though you would never say it out loud, you knew he could read you like a book. The one thing you and him had in common was your stubborn attitude, and he knew how to handle you like no one else on the team did.
Your rambling brain stopped as soon as you jumped in the shower. The hot water soothed your muscles and ran down your skin, leaving streaks in its path. You concentrated on the steam rising in the shower stall and fogging up the glass instead of replaying your awful day in your mind, which you had a habit of doing.
You stood under the water until it ran cold, and only then did you shut it off and change into your favorite pair of pajamas. They were soft and cozy, the shirt was light and the pants long enough to cover your toes.
As you were running a comb through your tangled, damp hair, your stomach rumbled, begging for some kind of dinner. You sighed, knowing that the guys would be downstairs and this was your chance to apologize for being so rude and downright mean to them in the gym.
The elevator led you to the kitchen and before the doors even opened you smelled the scent of delicious pizza. Your mouth began to water and your tummy growled in anticipation.
You walked into the room and received a loud greeting from the guys who were sprawled out on the couches in front of the television.
“Hey! There she is!”
“We have pizza!”
“And movies. All the ones you like.”
Sam’s body was taking up the entire couch, his feet hanging off the arm rest and his arms held high in the air. Bucky was sitting in the lounge chair next to him, grinning brightly at you, and Steve got up from the chair across the way and started walking over to you.
“What? What is this?” you couldn’t hide your excitement or your astonishment.
“We’re having a movie night. Only if you want to though.” Steve slung his arm around you and walked you over to the kitchen counter holding boxes of your favorite pizza.
“We wanted to apologize for being up your butt today at the gym. We just hate seeing our little ray of sunshine upset.” He mussed your damp hair and you scoffed at his teasing.
Steve, not knowing his own strength, pulled you into a one arm hug that resulted in your head being pushed into his arm pit. As you pushed him away, you felt the sting in your arms from your workout earlier. When your giggles ceased, you became much more serious.
“I’m the one who needs to apologize. I was downright mean today and-”
“(Y/N), shut up and eat your pizza!” Sam yelled from the couch, interrupting you.
Steve handed you a plate from the cupboard. You took it with a smile and sighed. “Okay, okay.”
You caught Steve before he made to return to his spot in front of the television. “Steve, uh, thanks,” you said quietly. A movie night was just what you needed.
“Oh, it wasn’t me. This was Bucky’s idea,” he said to you and then turned away and plopped down on the couch, leaving you with a gaping jaw. You caught your pizza slice before it fell on the floor and took a bite, your eyes still wide in surprise.
While Sam was starting up your favorite movie you inhaled your first piece of pizza and hurried to grab another and make it to the couch before the credits started. The familiar music made your heart swell, as did being surrounded by your friends. They were pretty special, you decided.
As the movie went on and the warmth from the pizza fizzed away, you began to feel the chill that was almost always in the tower. You regretted only wearing a thin t-shirt when you felt how cold your skin was.
Luckily, hanging on the arm rest next to you was a familiar looking dark green hoodie. “Hey, Steve, do you mind if I throw this on?” you whispered, earning a scowl from Sam who always hated when someone interrupted his Disney movies.
“Not mine,” he mouthed. Then he pointed to Bucky, telling you it was his.
Your head snapped to the right to find Bucky already looking at you. You weren’t sure how he would feel about you borrowing his clothes, so you stood up and whispered, “I’ll just go get one of mine, be right ba-”
“No, no, just wear mine. It’s okay.” Bucky stuck his hand out to stop you from going anywhere. He grinned and nodded again to tell you he was sure.
You smiled in thanks and plopped down on the couch again, slipping your arms into the over sized sleeves and plunging your head through the hood. You wanted to stay inside, it smelled so good. It didn’t smell like cologne or anything you were familiar with. It just smelled like Bucky, not that you noticed he had a distinct smell before you buried yourself in his sweatshirt. But now that you did, you never wanted to smell anything else. You could even go without the smell of delicious pizza if you could always have the scent of old timey soap and after shave ghosting through your senses.
However, you tried to be a normal human and when you emerged from the hoodie, you pulled your hair out of the neck and snuggled into the extra fabric that was wrapped around you. You hoped Bucky didn’t noticed how you pulled the sleeves over your hands and brought them up to your face so every inhale was laced with his scent.
Two movies later, the gang admitted their sleepiness. Sam turned off the TV and you offered to put the pizza away and clean up the kitchen. It was the least you could do, this whole shindig was for you, after all.
You started putting leftover pizza into plastic baggies as you said goodnight to the guys. Sam ruffled your hair and Steve smoothed your locks back down and kissed your forehead before they both headed upstairs.
You piled the empty boxes on the counter and turned to shut the light off before you finished wiping off the counter. When you turned back, the boxes were gone and Bucky was standing there, sponge in hand. His dark figure made you jump out of your skin and squeal softly.
“Jeez, Buck, you startled me. I didn’t know you were still down here,” you said with a hand covering your thundering chest.
“Well, I couldn’t just let you clean all this up by yourself,” he said softly, rinsing off the dirty sponge and setting it on the side of the sink.
It was quiet for a moment, the only sound in the room was the buzz of the refrigerator. Your nervous habit of tucking your hair behind your ear struck again, but it made you notice the thick green material covering your fingers.
“Oh, here, thanks for this,” you said as you started taking off his sweatshirt.
“No, it’s okay, keep it for now, it’s chilly in here. You can give it to me tomorrow,” he rambled.
“Okay. It is really warm, I might just steal it.” You winked.
“It looks good on ya, brings out your pretty eyes.” His surge of confidence quickly melted away as he cleared his throat and continued to babble. “Uh, it’s from the army. That’s why it’s so warm, they don’t make stuff like that anymore.”
You giggled and then hummed in agreement. You looked down at your hands and wrung them together, the sting from the punching bag reminding you about the guilt you still felt from this morning.
“I’m sorry I was such a jerk today. Um, thanks for…” you lifted your sleeve covered hand, “helping me.”
“Hey, we all have our days,” he said, taking your raised hand in his and rolling up the sleeve, showing your red knuckles. His brow furrowed in concern as he gently ran his fingers over the red marks. He shook his head and breathed a laugh out his nose. “You’re stubborn as all hell, ya know that?”
Your eyes lifted from your hands to his smirk. “I’ve been told once or twice.”
He chuckled softly and you thought of what you could say to make him laugh again. It was a wonderful sound.
He covered your hand with the sleeve and returned it to your side. “Better lay off the punching bags for a few days.”
“Yes, Sergeant.” You said. He chuckled again and the sound made your chest swell.
You knew the conversation was over, but you didn’t want to leave him just yet. You leaned against the kitchen counter and played with your hair once again trying to find the right words to say.
“Steve told me this was your idea,” you said, implying the movie night.
“Punk,” he interjected, making you giggle.
“Thanks.” You said simply.
“Ya know, Steve calls you our ‘ray of sunshine,’” he mocked. “But it’s true. We just hate to see you upset. I hate to see you upset.” He admitted quietly.
What came out of his mouth was not what you expected. You didn’t know what to say. So you rose to your toes, placed a hand on his chest and kissed him quickly on the cheek before saying “Goodnight, Bucky,” and turning away.
You took two steps and you were about to enter the hallway when a hand wrapped around your wrist, turned you around, and pulled you into Bucky’s strong body. His lips quickly latched onto yours in a gentle kiss.
His hands cupped both sides of your face while yours settled on his waist. You tilted your head to deepen the kiss and wrapped your arms around him and tugged on the back of his shirt. His fingers pushed through your hair and held your locks at the back of your head.
If you thought his scent was sweet when you pulled on his sweatshirt, now it was overwhelming. He swam around you and you happily drowned, never wanting to come up for air because it would mean being away from him.
His tongue begged for entrance and you eagerly allowed it, humming happily as it danced with yours and allowed you to taste even more of him. Your brain convinced you if you didn’t touch every inch of him, you’d combust, so you complied. Your fingertips came around from his back and up his chest, pushing his to land on your hips. As your hands wrapped around his neck and tangled in the hair there, his lifted the sweatshirt just enough for his fingertips to land on your skin and leave flames behind.
It felt like years passed, but you wouldn’t mind spending your entire life in his position. Everything he did was so gentle, you’d never felt anything like it. It was addicting. Now that you had a taste of him, you never wanted to let go, and from the way his body was glued to yours, you knew he felt the same way.
You finally pulled away but only far enough to grab a breath. He rested his forehead on yours and held you tightly around your waist.
“If I knew you were going to kiss me back like that I would have done it ages ago.”
You breathed out a laugh and pulled back and looked into his clear blue eyes. Even in the dark they sparkled.
“Well, now you know,” you laughed, running your hand through his hair and trying to memorize the way the his lips curled into that bright toothy smile. You’d never seen him smile like that.

Summary: Negan finds a little girl, no more than ten, amongst a car wreckage, after finding out she’s alone in the world. He takes her as his own, raising her through the apocalypse. If there’s one thing that his greatest pride but also his biggest weakness, it’s his daughter, Y/N! Ratings/ warnings: Teen, mentions of blood and violence. I feel like, Negan as a dad is a warning. Writers Notes: This doesn’t really have a set plot, it will follow alongside season 6 & 7, I’m unsure if I’ll make it so Carl and reader have a thing. But… I got big feels seeing Negan and Judith.
Notes: I had this idea last year, I wrote a few parts and then forgot about it. Now here I am, uploading it because I miss writing Negan! - Rosalee
You were silent and nervous at the new place with Negan and his men. The night you arrived people looked at you oddly, even more so due to the fact you clung to Negan like glue. The only person you really trusted, trust was a stretch, he was safe. The morning after, he passed you off to a woman named, Mary. You didn’t see him for a few days after that.
Mary, whilst she was nice wasn’t safe. It was also boring, Negan’s policy of living was different to the one you had come from; you pull your weight, you are rewarded or something to that extent. Being the youngest out of everyone wasn’t fun, Negan allowed you time to adjust, meaning you had nothing to do but wait till Mary got back to her room.
You prided yourself on being adventurous. You used to somehow always manage to leave your mother’s overbearing side, a door which unlocked, wasn’t going to stop you from looking around. Negan’s community was in some kind of warehouse, huge and industrial, it housed many people; more than your last community. You didn’t see any harm in looking around, seeing exactly what this place was like. Stretching on your tippy-toes you opened the door, peeking out and then walking out into the cold corridor, shutting it with a little click before carrying on your adventure.
Throughout your little adventure, you had to hide, not to be seen or spotted by one of Negan’s men, you didn’t exactly know if you were allowed to just walk around and you didn’t exactly want to find out the answer to that question.
You came to door, the window looking out was shining sunlight, you smiled and pushed it open. The rays of golden light hitting your face instantly, warming you up a little. You walked out and see a line-up of motorcycles, various colours and styles, you also spotted two men with their backs to you. Leather jackets, jeans and talking loudly amongst themselves, you swiftly turned and walked around the corner of the building.
You noticed a tall, caged fencing, with a frown you stepped closer and through the panels of woods that reinforced the fencing you could see movement. You recognised that sound, the sound of growling and frustrated grunts, yet you still looked. It was some kind of obstacle course, various junk was scattered and those people admitted throughout.
Then from the right, suddenly, a man began to violently shake the fencing for attention. His clothes were just sweats, grey with a large ‘H’ spray painted on in yellow. He had this terrified look in his eyes, they were locked on you and he was panting heavily, sweating under the sunlight.
“Little girl,” he rattled the fence. “You gotta help me,” he persisted, “Open the gate, please?”
Stepping back, it made him rattle the fence in frustration. “Why are you in there?”
“Because I tried to leave,” he tells you, “they found me and brought me back here, please. Just open the gate, I gotta get outta here,” he begged and you nodded once but before you can walk a hand is placed on your shoulder.
It’s large and warm, judging by the man’s wide, shocked eyes you know who it is. You look up as Negan is giving a hearty smile to the man behind the fence, you recognise two of the men from a few nights ago beside Negan.
“Well, hello to you too, Bill,” Negan calls out, “I see you met our newest resident, Y/N, I hope you weren’t trying to make her open that gate. Get her in trouble, get her thrown in there with you, I’d hate for another life be on your hands.”
Negan was clean shaven, leather jacket zipped up and the same baseball bat in his left hand, he had a menacing grin plastered on his face. The other guy, behind the fencing, named Bill was clinging to the metal; shaking under Negan’s stare. You could hear the slight rattling of the fence under the white-knuckled tightness of Bill’s hands, you frowned at his terrified eyes, did he actually deserve to be in there?
“Mike, take Bill to his… room, I’ve got to have words with this little sweetie.” Negan grabbed your hand with his right, pulling you a little forcefully away from the caged area and around the building. A few men littered, watching guard and a few working on the massive trucks. “Where’s Mary?” It was a simple question, yet, you didn’t know the answer.
You lightly shrugged, still holding his hand. “I don’t know,” your voice was small and delicate amongst the loud noises around you. “I didn’t intend to get caught, you know,” he let out a loud chuckle at that.
“A little smart ass,” he commented before he stopped walking. “I didn’t put you in Mary’s care for you to wander off and talk to our castaways,” you look over your shoulder, trying to still see where Bill was kept and Negan chuckled. “We survive. We provide security to others. We bring civilisation back to this world. We are the Saviors.” He gestured around, the men all nodding, “And people who don’t abide by the rules, get punished, Bill, didn’t tell you that he ransacked our medicine, and killed three men in the process of him ‘leaving’. Fair punishment, fitting for his crime.”
You were silent for a minute. “Am I going to go in there?”
“No. Unless you break the rules,” he looks down at you. “I get it. You’re adventurous, curious about this place. It’s okay, I just don’t want you running around alone, not a lot of the men here are very forgiving if you get in their way.” You gave a little nod, “you’ll get used to living around here soon enough,” Negan name is then called, “I’ll have someone take you back to Mary’s room. No more wondering without supervision, got it?” You nodded and he did back before walking around you.
Two Days Later
“He has bigger things to worry about than a little girl,” Mary tells you walking through the Sanctuary’s corridors. “He’s busy still proving to everyone around here he’s leader, it’s a climb to get everyone to completely trust you, he has to be seen as alpha around here. He can’t do that with a little girl clawing at his leg, can he?”
Mary was a small, agile women. Blonde hair and kind eyes, it was easy to see why Negan trusted you with her, he passed you off to motherly figure. There probably wasn’t many around and she seemed to be the only one, so far, that wasn’t cold and horrible towards you.
“He’s trying to lead all these people?” You asked walking into the workhouse, she chuckled and nodded.
“Yeah, he has his second in command, Simon.” You remembered Simon, he hadn’t been around much. “Negan has outposts for miles around, a lot of the soldiers are at those with communities of their own. I was at one before this, I was brought here to look after you,” she nudged and you smiled a little.
There were tables all lined up, piles of either food or clothing on them. Mary had explained the point system to you, this was the first time you had seen it played out. It reminded you of the Flea Markets your mother used to take you to before all of this. There was a man dealing with medicine, another women with food and other necessities a human may need.
“Did you used to get allowances?” Mary asked you nodded lightly. “Well, this is that. You earn points and you spend those points on stuff here, it’s pretty simple and easy to follow, you have few that still try to get around the system. It’s our way of life, now yours!”
You followed Mary around as she got food, a few little things that she needed, she was nice enough to get a chocolate bar for you.
“Don’t wonder off, stay where I can see you, kay?” You nodded and walked around the large warehouse room.
The bustling of people, lining up for what they wanted or needed. You slowly strolled around, eating the chocolate, getting bumped into and pushed around because of how small you are. You peeked over a table, smiling at the man sitting behind it, clothes piled on the surface.
“You must be the new resident,” he amused. His ageing face was either due to the torment of today’s problems or just him ageing. “Must be a big change,” he sighed.
You nodded, “It was a lot smaller and I lived in a house,” he nodded, “and everyone shared what was found, you didn’t have to work or earn, it was given.” He perked up at that, “Maybe that’s why it failed?”
“Nonsense,” He smiled. “That sounds like our new worlds, a new paradise,” you chuckled lightly, “Who knows, maybe, one day that will happen here. I’m Martyn.” He sighed but stands up, you frown and turn seeing two of Negan’s men walking over, shoulders tense.
“Leftie,” The bald one called, “Wade needs new jeans, whatcha got?” Not even glancing down at you as he comes around the table, lightly knocking into you.
The man, Martyn, sighed. “Again? That’s his third pair this month,” causing the man beside you to chuckle at that. Martyn shifted through the clothes he had laid out, “in your own time, leftie.” It was only when he struggled to go through the clothes you noticed one arm, the other sleeve was pinned to keep out of the way.
“He’s going as fast as he can,” you speak up with a little frown, Martyn shakes his head at you but you ignore it. Both men look at another with raised eyebrows, “His name is Martyn, not Leftie!”
The shorter one of the two, light red hair, almost blonde knelt down. “Listen, little girl, let the adults take care of this.” He smiled, “Just cause Negan brought you here doesn’t mean you can mouth off, you don’t get no privileges.”
Mary came running up, closing her hands around your shoulder and giving apologetic smiles to both of Negan’s soldiers. “I am so sorry, I told her not to go wandering off,” you looked up at her as she glared down at you but shakes her head.
“Mary, I don’t want to have to tell, Negan, that you can’t handle the child,” He stands up and she nods once. “Teach her some manners, when to keep her little mouth shut, we then won’t have a problem.”
“Y/N,” you tell him and he frowns, “My name is Y/N, you give basic respect, you receive basic respect; what my dad used to say.” Mary chuckles and tucks you under her arm, a little behind her as the man glares at you.
Martyn butts in with handing the jeans, muttering apologies for taking so long. You were glaring at the two men who took the jeans, giving Martyn a few words before turning to Mary, looking her over once. Their scowls made your skin crawl.
“Well, little girl, you’re here because your daddy is dead. Got it? So, whatever that useless fuck taught you are now forgotten. You respect people higher than you, that’s about everyone in this goddamn place, ya hear?” You looked to the floor, the harshness of his words tugging at your heart. Mary gave a disapproving glare to the men.
“She’s a child,” Her voice laced with motherly venom, you had heard your mother talk with the same harshness a few times before.
“No, she ain’t. In this new world, children either get killed or get you killed, don’t let it be the latter Mary, I’d hate to see you killed.” Both men nodded at Martyn, glaring at your silently crying form before leaving.
Mary took you back to her room, wherein she over a few rules to you. Mostly, not talking ANY of Negan’s men unless, completely, necessary. Negan had already said that his men aren’t entirely sympathetic, you just didn’t really think of it till now. She also told you not to go walking around on your own, even Negan said that, but you needed to talk to him.
Mary had given you a brief tour, not that you remembered where everything was, but you had the general direction to Negan’s living quarters. You heard a few female voices, you peeked from behind the wall and see three women talking before walking through a door, you frowned and snuck up behind them.
Pushing the door open silently, it was a big room and it had just those women inside. A bar was settled in the back, lavish chairs and it seemed music was playing, you hadn’t heard actual music in a while.
“Y/N?” A loud voice called your name, it caused the three women to look at you, you gave a shy smile before looking to see Negan walking towards you. “I specifically told you to not wander around alone!”
He stops a little short in front of you, crossing his arms in question. “I wanted to speak with you, I didn’t know how to find you without wandering.”
Instead of answering, he leans forward and pulls the door shut and taking your right hand, again, leading you down the corridor away from the room. He came to a door where he opened it, it was a bedroom, you skipped inside and he chuckled slightly as you sat in one of the armchairs he had settled by the window.
He followed sitting in the opposite one, raising an eyebrow as you looked, incredibly tiny against the overly large chair. “What did you need to talk to me about that couldn’t wait for you to get Mary to bring you to me? Is it about Mary? What’s she like? I’ve known her since the beginning, I figured she’d be good for you. She had two sons; you settling in a’right?”
“Fine, Mary is great, better than most of the people here.” He raised his eyebrows at that, “your men are rude. They treat anyone who is ‘below’ them poorly,” you expected some kind of response but Negan chuckled. You often got that type of response from adults when trying to be serious, often calling you ‘ferocious like a kitten!”
Negan stopped chuckling, “Listen, kid. I get it, you came from a little community that worked like equals, honestly, I wish it could be that way here. But you got to establish that the men who go out and risk their lives for them, for me, even for you now, well yeah; they deserve a new level of respect. The soldiers, my soldiers, are excluded from the point system because they deserve that privilege.”
“But they’re mean for the sake of it,” you frowned a little and Negan sighed.
“I can’t help it if people are sensitive to that,” he shrugs and that made you frown more, “You gotta develop a thicker skin to survive. You gotta work for what you want, work hard in order to get what you need, I can’t always have your back. Mary isn’t gonna always be lookin’ out for you, I’m not either, you can’t just come to me because someone isn’t treating you like a child; you aren’t one, not anymore.”
You remained silent letting his words sink in. You hated to admit it but he seemed right, you couldn’t rely on him nor Mary, plus maybe you were too sensitive. Martyn was a man, you didn’t know and you stuck up for him, he probably doesn’t care about being called ‘Leftie’. You gave a small nod, Negan nodded.
After your talk with Negan, you remained quiet when around Negan’s men. You didn’t want to say anything to upset them, yet it seemed you had created a feud, the two soldiers from days ago had a grudge against you. On purposefully knocking into you, telling the workers to only deal with your points when Mary was with you; only Mary was out scavenging with a small group.
It was a problem, a real one. Yet, Negan’s words echoed in your head; you can’t act like a child and go running to him when in need, you had to handle this yourself. So, that’s what you decided to do, it wasn’t going so well.
“Mary is out, I need this now,” You try to sound stern but it comes out more of a plea, the women working the food table, the broth bubbling in the pan gives a sympathetic smile. The soldier, Smith, known by his last name because there are four other John’s was standing with his arm crossed. The shorter one from when you first met Martyn. “I have all the points together, I’ve been helping with laundry, what’s the big deal?” You asked.
“You’re a child, we can’t just give you things because you may or may not have earned it, your guardian has to do that for you.”
“You can’t have it both ways,” he frowns at you, “I’m either a child or not, you can’t tell me one week to learn to be an adult and then today say I can’t buy soup because I am not an adult, so what am I?” Your little rant caused the attention of everyone to turn, you didn’t realise your usually small voice was now a yell.
Smith didn’t like that, he stepped towards you with a new fire in his eyes, the mocking smile he had was now gone and replaced with a sneer. “Listen, you no good cow, you should have died the day Negan brought you here. In fact, he should have left you, but he showed all of us his soft side. No wonder he has to work harder to prove himself, he let a stupid bitch like you live,” you backed up a step, knocking into a table as he continued to stalk to you. “Yeah, nothing to say now, no one to stupidly look out for you too. Look around you, not everyone is gonna wanna save ya, not everyone is as stupid as Negan was on that day.”
“Or compassionate,” you say before you can think. “That’s what makes him good, better than you-”
Before you can finish a force so harsh knocks you off your feet. A deep pain is stinging your cheek, your whole face really, but mostly a burning sensation is stricken on your left side. Tears welling up in your eyes, you look up at Smith who is leering over your body as everyone around is too stunned to move.
“You really, really, shouldn’t have done that Smith.”
(So, long chapter, I know. Hopefully, everyone likes this. Totally am not hinting Mary is Mary Winchester, I kinda am, it’s funny too. Love me. Let me know what you think, that helps me lot. - Rosalee)
I noticed that Patton rubbed the sleeves of his cardigan on his face when he was scared. Can you do a fic where Logic kinda gets curious on why he does it? Bonus points if Patton is currently scared when Logan tests it.
(This is so cute!!! I hope I did it justice! ^.^)
Logan prided himself on being observant. He wasn’t in-touch with other’s (or even his own), emotions, but he was intelligent enough to observe behaviours and know what they meant. However, once again, when it came to Patton, he was at a loss.
In Anxiety’s room, Logan observed that Patton rubbed the sleeves of his cardigan over his face when frightened over the cartoon spider curtains. It was an interesting behaviour, however, one Logan could not understand.
It happened again a few days later when a spider had found it’s way on Thomas’ couch. He had shrieked and began rubbing the sleeves against his face again. Roman “slayed” the spider and as soon as the danger posed was eradicated, the rubbing stopped.
Logan did what he always did when posed with something he didn’t understand; he made a hypothesis. A basic if ___, then ___ statement, which consisted of, “If Patton gets frightened, then he uses the sleeves of his cardigan to rub against his face in perhaps a means of self-comfort.”
Then he had to test it out, which was something that required frightening Patton and if Logan was being honest, that was something he didn’t want to do. A person, even a side, isn’t a thing you can just experiment with.
As it turned out; he didn’t need a factor to frighten Patton with, for a week later, they were watching a horror film on the couch and Patton was doing it again- rubbing the sleeves against his face with round, frightened eyes.
Logan took a mental note of it in his head, filing it away as a hypothesis proven correct. He didn’t know how the information would benefit him until one night the power went out and Logan recognized the signs that Patton was becoming frightened and he wasn’t wearing his cardigan.
Patton took to nervously chewing his nails, which Logan found 20x more unnerving than the face-rubbing. He made his way into Patton’s room and grabbed the cardigan off the bed and returned to where Patton was, still chewing his nails.
“Here.” Logan tossed the article of clothing at Patton who looked surprised. Logan’s heart seemed to sink- perhaps the cardigan wasn’t as significant as he assumed. But then Patton was pulling it against his face and smiling at Logan.
Logan felt relief flood through him; it always felt good to help.

Summary: following the plot of the musical, (y/n) fakes her own death causing JD to break (what if he didn’t go through with the plan!!)
“Come on out, (y/n)! It’s not like I’d kill you!” His voice trills from outside of the wooden closet doors. Though his tone is light, there’s anger and pain laced within it.
For (y/n), all was dark. The sliver of light from the bottom of the doors provided enough light to see your ex-boyfriend, Jason Dean, pacing about her bedroom. A large black shadow swept from side to side, ironically mimicking an expectant death. Your mind was racing, desperately grasping at straws to find an escape. In your head? Boom. Boom. Boom. Your heart beat, louder than any bomb. Knees buckling below your, you struggle like bambi to stand straight.
Suddenly, it hit’s you. Reaching up, trying to ignore JD’s manic rambling, you grab a pair of tights and began threading them across your body before hoisting yourself up.
“Fuck this!” He roars. “You have three seconds, (y/n), then I’m coming in there!”
You hang your head limply.
You hold your breath.
The door flies open and… silence.
Just minutes later, you hear a soft cry trail from the room. Fighting to ignore it, your force your eyes shut and take another large gulp of air. The game becomes harder as the cries escalate into loud, heart wrenching sobs.
“Why… why why why why why!!” You can hear him mutter to himself. “This is YOUR fault! You let her die… Idiot!” His voice picks up, the red hot anger bubbling within him.
You resist jumping out of your skin at the sudden noise.
Slowly, you open your eyes and raise your head enough to peak through your (h/c) hair. You watch, horrified, as the boy you love begins smashing his head against your desk with determination. A warm and salty tear pools in the corner of your eye and you can’t take it any more.
Without a sound, you retrace the fabric across your (s/c) neck and drop to the wooden floor beneath. Not knowing what to say, you simply walk over and sit beside him.
The added weight causes the bed to sink further, alerting him to your presence. As he looks up, you feel your heart crack into a thousand pieces, a magnificent destruction. His deep hazel eyes are riddled with red veins and rivers of tears are flooded down his face. His cheeks are red like blood and his dark hair ruffled into oblivion.
The boy pauses for a moment, as though inspecting you, proving to himself that you’re real. Suddenly, and without warning, he flings his arms around your body and clings tightly. The two of you sit like this for a while, his arms wrapped around your body and you’re around him.
You glance down and notice the sleeve of his black trench coat has rolled up slightly. Across his pale wrist, a small million of angry red lines adorn him. Some older than others, joining together like a tragic pattern. You bring his arm to your head, placing gentle kisses across each and every line in turn.
He sniffles, looking up to meet your caring gaze.
“Please…” he stammers out, voice raspy from the tears. “Don’t leave me… I I won’t d do it, I promise. Just… stay with me.” This time, you believe every word. The young boy in front of you was not the same as the one from just 10 short minutes ago. Every raging fuse has fizzled out, every wall broken down. Now, he was raw.
You saw the child in him. You saw every scar and bruise, every harsh word and abandonment. He looked so… weak.
You bring a shaky hand to his chin and lift it, as though you’re scared he’ll break. A small smile twitches on your face.
Imagine: You and bucky develop a close relationship when you join the team, but it’s put to the test when he accidentally hurts you
warnings: smut, choking (tragically not the sexual kind), angsty if thats a warning?
a/n: buckle up y’all this is a long one, like 5.3k words long (yikes i know i got really carried away okay) I’m really sorry if it gets typo-y at the end, i’ve been working on this all day and my head hurts and i want to get it out for you guys so i didn’t proof read please for give me. Enjoy!
When you joined the Avengers, you didn’t expect to fall in love. Save the world? Sure. But falling in love was most definitely not on you radar, at least not until you met a certain boy with a mess of brown hair and striking blue eyes.
Bucky was your first friend when you moved into the compound. You were more on the quiet side, very unlike your other team members, who were a rambunctious bunch. It’s what drew you and Bucky together, staying behind while everyone else went out to a club or party.
A/N: This wasn’t requested or anything but I think Pete is a
real hottie and I thought of this so here it is. Not gonna write the accent,
you guys can imagine it. Hope you like it!
Word Count: 2,210 (I’m sorry, I just
loved writing this)
Pete Dunne was an asshole. A temperamental, angry, downright
unstoppable bruiserweight asshole with a motivation that was sometimes
terrifying. He was rough around the edges, strong, tough, manly. An intimidating
figure to say the least. Maybe that’s why no one but Trent and Tyler ever
really talked to him. Maybe it was why he didn’t talk to anyone either.
And then there was you.
And before you, Pete had never known anyone like you.
You were small, happy, kind, sweet. Always smiling, always
willing to lend an ear when anyone needed to talk. He hadn’t met you before
that night when they’d had a match in London, and since he hadn’t slept at all
the night before, Tyler had told Pete that he desperately needed to put on some
makeup, and Pete would be damned before he put the shit on himself.
So, when he was sure everyone else had already been done,
and then another 20 minutes for good measure, Pete trudged towards the makeup
rooms, praying to whoever the fuck was listening that no one would see the big
bad bruiser getting his manly makeup done.
But, luckily for him, like always, the makeup artists had
high tailed themselves out, something that made him sneer. Each night as soon
as the roster was done, the hair and makeup squadron literally disappeared,
heading to their homes or the bars, out to have their own lives.
But, when he stepped across the threshold of the empty
makeup room, he found that it wasn’t so empty.
A girl sat on the stool next to a vanity, holding what
looked to be a stage jacket, and sewing it. She was singing to herself,
something about good guys hiding away, and he examined her, not saying
She was short. Much shorter than him, definitely not over 5’3”.
She looked to be of average weight, and her (h/l) (h/c) hair was hanging over
her face, not letting him see much of her face.
She had one leg crossed over the other, the jacket resting on
top, and he noticed the long-sleeved T-shirt with a bear on it, and he couldn’t
help but smile at the fact she was wearing his merch.
She was still singing
to herself, and when she picked up the jacket to apparently examine it, she
nearly fell off the stool when she saw him.
“Jesus Christ!” She gasped, catching herself next to the
stool and standing. He cocked his head, hearing her obvious American accent,
and he pushed himself off the doorframe and into the room a few steps.
The girl was gathering her composure, her cheeks flaming red
She set the jacket on the stool and brushed her yoga pants
off, finally looking at him.
“Whatcha need? Don’t think I’ve ever seen the Pete Dunne in the makeup room.”
Anyone else, Pete would’ve broken their jaw, man or woman,
but this girl, he smiled.
Her voice reminded him of a harp. The twang in her voice
made him want to hear more. She had (e/c) eyes. He liked them.
“Yeah, yeah,” He said, allowing himself to smirk at her, and
the smile she gave him back made his chest feel warm.
What the hell? Why wasn’t he being an asshole? What was
wrong with him?
“I’m guessing you want me to cover up the bags under your
He nodded, “Tyler said it’s pretty bad.”
She nodded, “He didn’t lie. Come sit down over here, I’ll
have you all fixed up in no time. You want your hair done too?”
Before Pete could sneer and make a nasty comment, he heard
his own voice, “Do you think it needs done? I didn’t look at it before I left
She shook her head, “Personally I think your hair always
looks great, so no, I don’t think so.”
He smiled, “Thanks.”
She clicked the lights of the vanity on, making Pete blink,
but he quickly turned his head to focus on the girl again, “You new, love?”
Love? What the fuck was wrong with him?
She blushed, “Yeah, is it that easy to tell?”
He shrugged, “Most of them just leave once they’re done
doing the makeup for everybody. Usually leave the rookies here in case anyone
She smiled softly, “Well, I stay here because I choose to,
honestly. I don’t know how they can all leave, I love to watch the matches.
But, since I volunteer to stay here, I kinda get elected to do touchups as
He cocked an eyebrow at her as she started to dig through
her makeup case, “Isn’t that a lotta work to do by yourself?”
She nodded, “Yeah, but you know what they say. If you love
your job, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
“So you like it?”
“Oh yeah,” He could see her eyes light up as she started to
apply makeup to his cheeks, “It’s wonderful to be here doing all these amazing people’s
makeup for the whole world to see on TV, isn’t it amazing?” She gushed, and he
almost smiled, almost.
He shrugged, “It’s a crazy ride.”
She nodded, “I’ll say.”
“What were you sewing?” He asked, looking over at the
“Oh, just one of my jackets, I-“ She stopped for a second,
but before he could look at her, she caught herself, “Fell. Fell in the parking
He had a feeling she wasn’t telling the truth, but being as
he’d only just met her, he understood why she wouldn’t be being totally honest
with him. Especially since he was so intimidating.
“I’m a big fan,” she mumbled, breaking the silence, and he nodded,
looking at her to smirk.
“Thank you love, glad you like me.”
He saw her blush, and allowed himself to smile toothlessly
as she finished him.
“Well,” She said, putting the makeup down, “You’re all done,
if you’d like to sneak out of the room again.”
He stood, brushing himself off and looking at himself in the
mirror before looking back at her, “Thank you….I’m so sorry love I didn’t get
your name,” he said, almost sheepishly.
Sheepish? Get yourself together Pete, Jesus Christ.
She beamed up at him, “(Y/N),”
He quirked his eyebrow, “(Y/N) from America, the makeup
artist who Pete Dunne allowed to come near him.”
She giggled, “Yeah, I guess I am aren’t I.”
He nodded, “Hey, (Y/N), mind if I take your number?”
She beamed and blushed a little, “Of course, here ya go,”
And then, in all her American glory,
she plucked a red lipstick from the box, wrote her number on his arm, and then
plopped the makeup back in the box, and disappeared out of the makeup room, and
Pete was left looking at his inner arm, wondering what it was about this girl
who made him smile instead of wanting to kill her.
The months went on, and Pete Dunne grew more and more close
to the American baby doll he liked to think of as the Beauty to his beast. He
learned more about her each night they were together. He came to see her after
the makeup was done, and he went to see her after every match. He offered her
rides back to her home most nights, but she always refused, taking cabs.
The months grew colder, but Pete’s heart was doing a
complete 180 from what the temperature was doing outside.
He was falling for this sweet little American, and he knew
it. He was sighing to himself one night, walking down the hallway towards her
makeup room like always. He found himself smiling, looking forward to seeing
her. She would most likely be sewing his jacket for him, singing some American
rock song to herself and she would grin when she saw him, waving and her eyes would
twinkle like they always did. And he would walk over to her makeup chair and
sit down to talk to her about anything and everything.
He pushed the makeup room door open, but she wasn’t where he
expected her to be. Not where she normally was. Instead, she was in her chair,
the lights of her vanity turned on. She was facing the mirror, doing her
makeup, and he knew something was wrong.
(Y/N) never wore makeup, despite the irony of it.
He didn’t move, not wanting to alert her of his presence,
and he squinted, looking closer. It was nearly unnoticeable, but he could see
it. He noticed everything about you, he prided himself on it.
She had a black eye.
“What the fuck is that?!” He exclaimed, making her whirl
around, and he could see her gulp. She dropped the makeup and brush she was
holding as Pete stalked towards her.
He grabbed her chin, gently but firmly, making her look up
at him, but she didn’t meet his eyes.
He sneered, pissed, “Take it off. Take it all off. I want to
She gulped, and he released her, looking at her expectantly
as she slowly pulled out a makeup remover and slowly, almost robotically removed
all her makeup.
It seemed like it took ages, and Pete just stood there, arms
He knew she had a boyfriend, but god forbid Pete find her
scumbag boyfriend now, the devil wouldn’t hurt him as bad as Pete would.
She stood in front of him now, wiped clean, and he looked at
She froze, looking at him in terror, but he still glared.
She relented, slowly, painfully slowly pulling off her shirt
to stand before him in a sports bra.
He dropped his arms, and started to look at her, starting at
her waist and going up from there.
Her ribs were horribly bruised, and there were older ones on
her back. Her arms had fingerprints old and new. He moved up to her neck, where
a handprint was, and her black eye was swollen.
He met her eyes, “What.” He bit out, mentally punching
himself for snarling when she flinched.
“Of course I’m fucking shaking (Y/N) why the fuck wouldn’t I
be!?” He snarled, his arms throwing outwards, but he froze when she dropped to
her knees, protecting her head.
How had he never noticed before? The way she jerked when he
touched her, the way she always seemed terrified when he was angry.
Pete stood for a moment, taking it all in, before he sunk to
his knees too.
He pulled her into him gently, trying not to hurt her as she
sobbed into her hands, “I-I-I’m so sorry Pete I’m so sorry…I never meant for
this to happen he just…I’m so s-so scared please don’t yell.”
Pete felt his heart actually break a little bit, as he
squeezed her harder, she wrapped her arms around his neck sobbing into his
chest, and he kissed the top of her head.
“(Y/N), Love, listen to me.”
She sniffled, “Y-y-yeah?”
“Listen, Baby, you’re gonna come stay with me, okay? That’s
what’s gonna happen. You’re gonna let me drive you to that fucking scum bag’s
apartment, and I am going to go inside and get as much of your shit as I can
get, and we will go back to my house, okay?”
“Don’t be daft, (Y/N). You will never, and I mean never ever
see that fucking disgusting human being again, do you understand me?”
“Y-Y-Yes Pete I understand…wh-why are you doing this for m-m-me
Pete gripped her chin gently, making her look up at him, but
only for a second because her eyes shut again when he pressed his lips to hers.
His lips were soft but firm and gentle but she could feel
him holding himself back. She ran her hands down his huge biceps before snaking
around his waist and he tangled his hands in her hair, sighing into the kiss.
She tasted like strawberries and butterscotch and home, and he couldn’t get
enough of it. She smelled like she always did, butterscotch and pumpkin.
“God,” He whispered between kisses when they kept taking
breaths, “You,” Kiss, “Are,” Kiss, “So,” Kiss, “Perfect.”
She whimpered into the kiss, pressing her body against his,
and he splayed one hand on the small of her back, and rested the other against
her cheek, kissing and kissing and kissing. She was his drug. If he wasn’t
hooked before, he was now.
Finally, though it wasn’t enough, they parted, and panting,
Pete rested his forehead against hers, “I love you, (Y/N), I love you. I’ve
loved you since you did my makeup all those months again. I love you. Let me
take care of you, please. Let me be better than he was. Let me be yours.”
“Oh Pete,” she murmured, kissing him again, “I’ve been
waiting for you to say that for so long…please rescue me. I love you.”
And Pete kissed her again, and his heart felt warm inside.

The first time Otabek sees Yuri cry is in the Grand Prix final in Barcelona.
He watches Yuri hide his face in his hands and collapse on the ice after finishing his free program, the thunder of applause and cheers making Otabek’s ears ring. When Yuri stands up to thank the audience there’s still tears in his eyes that glitter in the bright, harsh lighting. After the last bow Yuri manages to smile, and when he steps out of the rink he rubs his eyes with a sheepish expression on his face.
Their eyes meet, and Otabek gives Yuri a thumbs up. He swears he sees a lone tear roll down on Yuri’s cheek before he returns the gesture with a smile warm enough to make Otabek’s heart miss a beat.
Everyone’s wrist has three words on it, the first three words you’ll hear your

you’re in for a rude awakening when you meet your soulmate at your new job at
the BAU. Because you worry you will lose your new dream job, you keep the fact
that he’s your soulmate hidden, pretending as if those three words didn’t

As the words left Spencer’s mouth
you knew you had a split second to decide whether to act shocked and hide the
fact that you knew, furthering the lie, or to resign to the fact that he was
your soulmate. Luckily you were in the van with Rossi and Derek, so you didn’t
have to face the astonished or judgmental eyes of the entire team.
eyes widened before turning to look at you and you heard two gasps over the
com, you assumed one belonged to Prentiss and the other belonged to Garcia. You
set your jaw and pinched the bridge of your nose, squeezing your eyes tight.
Barely a day on your first case and everything is already going to hell in a
handbasket. You’re sure to to be kicked off or lose all of their trust, only to
be treated like a pariah. You think you’d rather be kicked off.
You heard Hotch growl into your ear piece and you reminded yourself that if you
managed to get out of this with good graces to do whatever it takes to never
hear him speak like that to you again.
You heard over the line again as Spencer and JJ were welcomed into the support
group’s meeting. “We will begin the night as we always do, with an affirmation
that everyone here is valid in their identity of being a Glitch. There is
nothing wrong with it and by no means does it decide our future as successful
human beings and no way does it restrict us from finding out own love.” The
organizer spoke in a soft and comforting tone. At the last part, you thought
you heard a very quiet, mocking, exhale.
just scoffed, try and see who that was.” Emily said quickly, hearing it as
are going to open the floor for whoever that wants to share.” The organizer
said after a moment. Someone began talking about how he met his soulmate by a
friend of a friend, but that once they were introduced it was apparent that he
wasn’t her soulmate. He had kept it from her and they were now good friends,
her having no idea what she was to him. The man went on and on about how
tortured he felt every time he was with her, that he knew that she was perfect
for him but it would never be reciprocated. Your felt a pang of guilt in your
stomach, wondering if that’s how Spencer was feeling.
more people went before the head of the group spoke up again. “Maybe one of our
new comers can share their experiences?”
You heard JJ start but be interrupted by Reid.
He said firmly and he surprised himself with how his voice didn’t waver. This
wasn’t about Y/N, he told himself, this was about finding the killer. He’d make
something up and then say that him and JJ were seeing each other to try and get
a rise out of the man who had scoffed earlier. As he walked up to the podium
his legs felt like jelly and his heart rammed against his ribcage. Spencer took
a deep breath before he started. “I met her a while ago,” He lied easily to the
in the van, you tried your best to not hyperventilate, your chest feeling tight
and your head feeling far too light. You wondered what he was going to say. Was
he going to make something up? Was he going to talk about you? You had just met
him, that wasn’t a while ago, maybe that meant he was going to continue with a
charade for the entire meeting.
new to the department where JJ and I work at,” Spencer gestured to the blonde
woman he came in with, and your stomach dropped. “We work at a psychology
practice together and I knew she was my soulmate when she was being introduced
to us by our boss.” You knew they couldn’t go in there and say their real
occupation, but that seemed to be the only thing that he was changing. You
ignored the stares you were receiving from Derek. “She was about to say
something when another one of our coworkers interrupted and asked her if she
could help her with anything or get her coffee, and then asked her if she liked
coffee, meanwhile this coworker was too excited to let her speak between this
questions. The first thing she replied to was the last question and that’s what
was on my wrist,” Spencer’s voice sounded strained, stuttering every once and a
while. “I- I knew then. I didn’t know if she had heard me speak yet, but based
on how she was acting, I didn’t think so. You see uh, since we’re psychologists
we’re really good at noticing how people react, so after carefully formulating
what I was going to say to her, of course I just blurted out the first thing
that came to mind after she shared about a friend’s death was that I was sorry
for her loss. I carefully watched the way she reacted. The words held no deep
significance to her. And based on that and how she’s continued to act around me,
I concluded I am a Glitch. Since then I decided I was going to take fate into
my own hands.”
Damn, was this ironic. That’s
exactly what you were doing, taking your own fate and deciding what you wanted,
which was to be your own person. Meanwhile these women were being murdered for
taking their lives into their own hands and choosing to be someone’s partner.
The universe had a sick way of making thing play out, you thought before you
turned your attention back to Spencer’s speech.
“JJ and I have been dating for a
few months now, and I’m happy, even though I know I have to see my soulmate
every day.” You noted his voice inflections changed. That strain was there and
gone between the truth and the lies, and it was definitely there for that last
half of the sentence. You were hurting him. You were going to make him go
through his every day with the thought that his soulmate, the person made for
him, would never be more than a work colleague. The thought of it felt like a
knife in your gut, but the thought of losing everything that you had worked for
going down the drain felt like a thousand. Veronica’s face flashed before your
eyes, your childhood best friend lost at the hands of a serial killer. You had
to do this for her.
‘But does it matter?’ You reasoned
in your head. ‘What if they don’t let you stay because it could affect
Spencer’s work? He is far more brilliant and a bigger asset to the team than
you were, you would be the first to go if it affected the work environment.’
The thoughts in your head went a thousand miles an hour, knowing you had to
come to a conclusion as to what you were going to do, and quick.
Spencer then thanked the group
before stepping off the podium, quickly excusing himself to the bathroom to
tell the team that there was someone who appeared extraordinarily distraught
when he said that him and JJ were together, saying that his name tag read James
but there was no last name listed. Hotch responded to tell him to try and talk
to the man afterward to get a last name and if they couldn’t, to ask around. After
that Reid dismissed himself to get back to the support group. You absentmindedly
scratched at your wrist, and glancing down you saw the edge of the script, and
your breath hitched in your throat when you realized it was now turning grey,
not the normal inky black it had always been. It was fading. You didn’t even
know that that could happen. Marks normally only faded after your soulmate had

“I think this is the fastest we

noticed Reid’s sleeved were rolled up, and there, neatly on the inside of his
right wrist, was your elegant handwriting. In a fading grey. You cursed to
yourself, not knowing what to do. Soon Hotch caught your eye and he nodded in a
way obviously saying ‘we need to talk.’ When you got back to the station, he
asked to speak to you.

you can stay on the team. You are both assets I intend on keeping but we have
to be sure the emotional strain doesn’t effect anyone’s work.”
opened your mouth to speak but before you could there was a knock on the door
of the conference room you were currently occupying. Rossi entered moments
after. “I assume you are talking about what just happened and the
implications?” He asked and you and Hotch both nodded. “Are you still set on
not telling him?”

you figured if Rossi knew that meant Hotch would as well.

nod again, letting out a sigh of resignation. You figured that once your boss
knew you were keeping such a large secret from another teammate it wouldn’t go

You assumed that meant that no matter what, if you and Reid couldn’t handle
working alongside each other.

Spencer that he was your soulmate as well. Soon the door opened and he stepped
in the room.

table. “Did you know that if you were to add up the costs of all of the items

was solemn, resigned. You watched as realization washed over his face and his
jaw slightly dropped.
soulmate. And, and you knew?” His voice was quiet, and when his voice cracked
in the second sentence you swore something in your chest did too.
sorry I didn’t tell you. I didn’t want a soulmate. I don’t want a soulmate. I don’t want my identity tied to someone,
I’m my own person, not someone’s other half.”
took a deep breath, trying to clear his thoughts. This was not how he imagined
this would go. He imagined that his soulmate would be ecstatic to meet him,
like something out of a fairy tale. Just his luck, he thought bitterly, he
would wait all this time to find her, first think he was a Glitch, and then she
wouldn’t even want him. Thinking over what he had to say, he played with his
fingers for a while before lightly touching the tattoo on his wrist that was
getting darker by the second, returning to the ink black it once was. “But the
thing is, Y/N, I don’t think we’re two halves of a whole. I don’t expect us to
be two halves of a whole. I think that we’re two separate people that just
happen to work together perfectly. That’s what life it though, individuals
coming together to form something that is bigger than ones’ self. That’s why
you joined a team, wasn’t it, to be a part of something bigger? It’s the same
concept with soulmates, in my opinion. We obviously aren’t codependent on one
another, we’re already doing very well without each other. Imagine how it would
be with us together, as soulmates, as a team.” His eyes glistened as tears
threatened to fall and you looked away. Here it comes. You didn’t know how to
say it, the true reason you didn’t want to be someone’s soulmate.
know ants can carry over 20 times their body weight?” You ask, looking up and
away as your own eyes filled with tears.
What does that have to do with anything?” He was obviously getting annoyed but
knew that there was going to be a reason for what you had said so he resisted
what by best friend said to me on the playground when I was 8. I was crouching
down watching an ant hill when Veronica walked up next to me and told me that.
I said ‘I did not’, and her face lit up as she shoved her wrist in my face. We
were inseparable after that. We thought we were soulmates. We did everything
together. That was, up until she was murdered when we were 16.” You paused,
trying to control a sob that was building in your chest. “But when the words on
my wrist didn’t fade, I knew that something was wrong. Either I had two
soulmates or she wasn’t mine and she was a Glitch. But after I watched her
casket get lowered into the ground I vowed two things. One, I would help stop
the kind of people that did this so no one else would have to feel this way,
and two, if I ever found someone else, I wouldn’t let them know that they were
my soulmate, I couldn’t do that to her. So, when I thought that us being
soulmates could ruin my chances at keeping this job, I panicked, my two vows threatening
to be broken in one fowl swoop.” You managed out before the sob that had been
building tore its way from your chest and shook your shoulders.
stared at you in shock as you talked, watched as you fidgeted and avoided eye
contact, as you wrung your hands and bit your lip when you paused. He found
himself crossing the floor and closing the distance between you, quietly asking
if he could touch you, and when you nodded, he enveloped you in his arms. “I’m
so sorry.” You said quietly after you had calmed down.
okay, I understand. I forgive you.” He whispered.

away slightly to see his face but his arms still rested on your waist.
spread across his cheeks as he nodded, “Did you know that if you were to add up
the costs of all of the items listed in the 12 Days of Christmas it would be
around $1.3 million? What is your favorite morning beverage?”

of you stood there for a while, just staring at each other, as if not wanting
the moment to end. Spencer’s eyes danced between yours and your lips, “Can I
kiss you?” He asked softly, putting a hand on your cheek. You don’t respond,
only standing on your tip toes and close the distance between your lips,
kissing him softly.
grabbed your bracelet off the table without you noticing before you two walked
out of the conference room. And when you did, all eyes were on you. You froze,
feeling very aware that you were under a microscope, and nervous since these
people knew Spencer very well.
Morgan asked after a moment, eyebrow raised.
grabbed your hand and smiled, “We’re soulmates.”
you keep it a secret?” JJ asked you, trying to hide the harshness in her voice,
and you didn’t blame her for being upset.
glanced up at Spencer before telling the team the same thing you told him,
about losing your best friend and who you believed to be your soulmate and how
it had affected you. As you talked their gazes soften in understanding.
you can work together on the same team?” Hotch asked after a moment to which
you and Spencer affirmed.
He said with a stern nod, then turning his attention to the rest of the team. “Great
job today everyone, lets head back home.”
were back on the plane and sitting next to Spencer, who had fallen asleep. You
watched his sleeping form, hands intertwined. ‘Maybe a soulmate isn’t going to
be that bad after all.’ You thought to yourself.
I don’t think I ever shared this process gif I made of my Azura tarot card! 1. VERY basic pencil sketch (oh god) 2. Digital sketch over 3. Lineart 4. God that face is bad, gotta fix it (this took me so long) 5. Flat color 6. Shading 7. Coloring lineart 8. Make the background slightly less boring 9. Slap a texture on it 10. Fix the details i didn’t notice until now (backwards foot, sleeves, shading on the frills).
